| 3 | Progress and future development of hybrid rapeseed in China显示文摘The hybrid growth of rapeseed now has reached to 4.7×106hm2,accounting for 70 % of total rapeseed growth area in China. Over the last 40 years,the researches and utilizations of hybrid rapeseed in China have significantly contributed to the development of rapeseed industry in China. The production of hybrid rapeseed mainly utilizes cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS),combined at the same time with nuclear male sterility and other pollinating-control systems in China. The hybrid rapeseed studies in China are also characterized by the improvement of quality and oil content in hybrid breeding. Future studies to enhance the heterosis of rapeseed will be focused on several important issues,including the combination of heterosis and ideotype breeding,further increase of oil content in hybrids,utilization of sub-genomic heterosis and resistance improvement. | 5 | A Self-Powered Breath Analyzer Based on PANI/PVDF Piezo-Gas-Sensing Arrays for Potential Diagnostics Application显示文摘The increasing morbidity of internal diseases poses serious threats to human health and quality of life.Exhaled breath analysis is a noninvasive and convenient diagnostic method to improve the cure rate of patients. In this study, a self-powered breath analyzer based on polyaniline/polyvinylidene fluoride(PANI/PVDF) piezogas-sensing arrays has been developed for potential detection of several internal diseases. The device works by converting exhaled breath energy into piezoelectric gassensing signals without any external power sources. The five sensing units in the device have different sensitivities to various gas markers with concentrations ranging from 0 to 600 ppm. The working principle can be attributed to the coupling of the in-pipe gas-flow-induced piezoelectric effect of PVDF and gas-sensing properties of PANI electrodes. | 6 | Black carp growth hormone gene transgenic allotetraploid hybrids of Carassius auratus red var. (♀)×Cyprinus carpio (♂)显示文摘Ecological safety is a major consideration in the commercialization of transgenic fish. Development of sterile transgenic triploid fish through hybridization of transgenic tetraploid fish and transgenic diploid fish is a feasible way to solve this problem. The 'all-fish' transgene, pbcAbcGHc, containing the black carp β-actin gene promoter and the open reading frame (ORF) of the black carp growth hormone (GH) gene was constructed and introduced into fertilized eggs of allotetraploid fish through microinjection. Contrast cultivation results showed that the growth rate of 150 day-old P 0 black carp GH gene transgenic allotetraploid fish was much higher than that of controls. Sixty 150 day-old transgenic allotetraploid fish were assayed by PCR for transgene integration and 90% of fish were positive for the transgene. The transgene was detected in 13 of 20 sperm samples from male transgenic allotetraploid fish. RT-PCR detected transcription of the exogenous black carp GH gene in the muscle, liver, kidney and ovaries of the largest transgenic allotetraploid fish. | 7 | Dissection of heterosis for yield and related traits using populations derived from introgression lines in rice显示文摘Despite the great success achieved by the exploitation of heterosis in rice,the genetic basis of heterosis is still not well understood.We adopted an advanced-backcross breeding strategy to dissect the genetic basis of heterosis for yield and eight related traits.Four testcross(TC) populations with 228 testcross F1 combinations were developed by crossing57 introgression lines with four types of widely used male sterile lines using a North Carolina II mating design.Analysis of variance indicated that the effects of testcross F1 combinations and their parents were significant or highly significant for most of the traits in both years,and all interaction effects with year were significant for most of the traits.Positive midparent heterosis(HMP) was observed for most traits in the four TC populations in the two years.The relative HMPlevels for most traits varied from highly negative to highly positive.Sixty-two dominant-effect QTL were identified for HMPof the nine traits in the four TC populations in the two years.Of these,22 QTL were also identified for the performance of testcross F1.Most dominant-effect QTL could individually explain more than 10% of the phenotypic variation.Four QTL clusters were observed including the region surrounding the RM9–RM297 region on chromosome 1,the RM110–RM279–RM8–RM5699–RM452 region on chromosome 2,the RM5463 locus on chromosome 6 and the RM1146–RM147 region on chromosome 10.The identified QTL for heterosis provide valuable information for dissecting the genetic basis of heterosis. | Chao Xiang Hongjun Zhang Hui Wang Shaobo Wei Binying Fu Jiafa Xia Zefu Li Yongming Gao Guoyou Ye | 2016 | The Crop Journal2016,4,6: | 3 |
| 8 | Microstructure and mechanical properties of Nb-Si alloys fabricated by spark plasma sintering显示文摘This paper deals with microstructural evolutions and mechanical properties of Nb-Si binaries containing dual-phase Nb/Nb5Si3 with Nb to Nb5Si3 fraction ratios of 90:10,80:20,70:30 and 50:50,prepared by spark plasma sintering(SPS).Dense Nb/Nb5Si3 samples with a relative density larger than 99.5% were obtained by SPS processing.The SPS samples consist of the Nb and Nb5Si3 phases with less than 3% fraction of NbO oxide.Hv at room temperature,and compressive strength at 1150℃ and 1250 1C of the bulk SPS alloys increase monolithically by enhancing fraction of the stiffening Nb5Si3 phase.For example,0.2% yield strength,σ0.2,increases from 175 MPa to 420 MPa at 1150℃ and from 110 MPa to 280 MPa at 1250℃,when the Nb5Si3 fraction increases from 10% to 50%.It is interesting that the fracture toughness,KQ,of the bulk SPS samples seems not to be sensitive to phase fraction.Heat treatment,however,plays a key role on the KQ as compared with that of the as-sintered state,at the corresponding Nb5Si3 fraction and considerably improves the KQ by about 100% for samples with the Nb5Si3 fractions of 10%-30%,and by about 50% for the sample with 50% Nb5Si3 fraction. | Wei Liu Yongming Fu Jiangbo Sha | 2013 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,1: | 3 |
| 9 | Comparative analysis of metabolite changes in two contrasting rice genotypes in response to low-nitrogen stress显示文摘Identification of metabolites responsible for tolerance to low nitrogen availability(low-N)will aid in the genetic improvement of rice yield under nitrogen deficiency.In this study,a backcross introgression line(G9)and its recurrent parent Shuhui 527(SH527),which show differential responses to low-N stress,were used to identify metabolites associated with lowN tolerance in rice.Differences in metabolite contents in the leaves of G9 and SH527 at three growth stages under low-N stress were assessed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry.Many metabolites,including amino acids and derivatives,were highly enriched in G9 compared with SH527 under the control condition,suggesting that the two genotypes had basal metabolite differences.Low-N stress induced genotype-specific as well as growth stagedependent metabolite changes.Metabolites induced specifically in G9 that were involved in glycolysis and tricarboxylic acid metabolism were enriched at the tillering and grain filling stages,and metabolites involved in nitrogen and proline metabolism were enriched at the booting stage.Enrichment of pyroglutamate,glutamate,2-oxoglutarate,sorbose,glycerate-2-P,and phosphoenolpyruvic acid in G9 suggests that these metabolites could be involved in low-N stress tolerance.The results presented here provide valuable information for further elucidation of the molecular mechanisms of low-N tolerance in crops. | Xiuqin Zhao Wensheng Wang Ziyan Xie Yongming Gao Chunchao Wang Muhammed Mahbubur Rashid Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Binying Fu Zhikang Li | 2018 | The Crop Journal2018,6,5: | 2 |
| 10 | Simulation of Evapotranspiration Based on BEPS-TerrainLab V2.0 from 1990 to 2018 in the Dajiuhu Basin显示文摘Accurate estimations of evapotranspiration(ET)are essential for understanding land-atmosphere coupling and atmosphere-underlying surface energy and water vapor exchanges.Based on input data processing,this paper simulates the temporal and spatial variation of ET in the Dajiuhu Basin from 1990 to 2018 using the BEPS-Terrain Lab V2.0 model.Compared with the ET measured by an eddy covariance(EC)tower,the model explained 80.1%of the ET variation.From 1990 to 2018,the average annual ET in the Dajiuhu Basin was 1262.7 mm/yr indicating a downward trend(–27.12 mm/yr).In 2005,a sudden change point was observed based on the Mann-Kendall(MK)test and 3-year moving t-test.Around 2005,the downward trend in ET slowed and the proportional trend of ET to precipitation changed from upward trend to downward trend.Regarding spatial distribution,the ET in the basin’s central part was smaller than that in the basin’s surrounding area,the ET of the southern slope was higher than that of the northern slope,and the decrease in the ET rate on the sunny side was lower than that on the shady side.ET decreased as the elevation increased,with the fastest decrease observed between 2184 and 2384 m.For different landcover types,the average ET exhibited the following order:deciduous forest>mixed forest>wetland>grass>agriculture land.Decreased solar radiation is the main reason for the decreased ET in the Dajiuhu Basin,followed by increased wind speed and relative humidity,which together contribute 83.9%to the ET trend.This paper provides a theoretical basis for the study of ET changes and the mechanism of ET and provides a decision-making reference for water resource management in the Dajiuhu Basin and even the South-to-North Water Transfer Project. | WU Zongfan ZHANG Lihua LIU Dandan ZHANG Kang ZHU Zhiru FU Yasheng MA Yongming | 2020 | Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,6: | 2 |
| 11 | Synthesis of novel hierarchical porous polymers with a nanowire-interconnected network structure from core-shell polymer nanoobjects显示文摘Design and fabrication of the micro/nanostructures of the network units is a critical issue for porous nanonetwork structured materials. Significant progress has been attained in construction of the network units with zero-dimensional spherical shapes.However, owing to the limitations of synthetic methods, construction of porous building blocks in one dimension featuring high aspect ratios for porous nanonetwork structured polymer(PNSP) remains largely unexplored. Here we present the successful design and preparation of PNSP with a novel type of one-dimensional network unit, i.e., microporous heterogeneous nanowire. Well-defined core-shell polymer nanoobjects prepared from a gelable block copolymer, poly(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate)-block-polystyrene are employed as building blocks, and facilely transformed into PNSP via hypercrosslinking of polystyrene shell. The as-prepared PNSP exhibits unique three-dimensional hierarchical nanonetwork morphologies with large surface area. | 12 | Amorphous NiO_(n)coupled with trace PtO_(x)toward superior electrocatalytic overall water splitting in alkaline seawater media显示文摘Developing corrosion resistance bifunctional electrocatalysts with high activity and stability toward both hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),especially electrolysis in seawater,is of prime significance but still pressingly challenging.Herein,in-situ introduced PtO_(x)on the derivative amorphous NiO_(n)is prepared via heat treatment of Ni ZIFL nanosheets on nickel foam under low temperature(PtO_(x)-NiO_(n)/NF).The synthesized PtO_(x)-NiO_(n)/NF possesses suprahydrophilic and aerophilic surface,then in favor of intimate contact between the electrode and electrolyte and release of the generated gas bubbles during the electrocatalysis.As a result,the in-situ PtO_(x)-NiO_(n)/NF electrode presents outstanding bifunctional activity,which only requires extremely low overpotentials of 32 and 240 mV to reach a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)for HER and OER,respectively,which exceeds most of the electrocatalysts previously developed and even suppresses commercial Pt/C and RuO_(2)electrodes.As for two-electrode cell organized by PtO_(x)-NiO_(n)/NF,the voltages down to 1.57 and 1.58 V are necessary to drive 10 mA·cm^(-2)with remarkable durability in 1 M KOH and alkaline seawater,respectively,along with remarkable stability.Moreover,a low cell voltage of 1.88 V is needed to achieve 1,000 mA·cm^(-2)toward water-splitting under industrial conditions.This study provides a new idea for designing in-situ amorphous metal oxide bifunctional electrocatalyst with strong Pt–support interaction for overall water splitting. | Wenli Yu Hongru Liu Ying Zhao Yunlei Fu Weiping Xiao Bin Dong Zexing Wu Yongming Chai Lei Wang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 2 |
