1MiR-181b suppresses proliferation of and reduces chemoresistance to temozolomide in U87 glioma stem cells显示文摘MicroRNAs regulate self renewal and differentiation of cancer stem cells.There,we sought to identify the expression of miR-181b in glioma stem cells and investigate the biological effect of miR-181b on glioma stem cells in this study.MiR-181b expression was measured by real-time PCR in glioma stem cells isolated from U87 cells by FACS sorting.After miR-181b was overexpressed in U87 glioma stem cells by miR-181b lentiviral expression vector and/or treatment of temozolomide,secondary neurosphere assay,soft agar colony assay and MTT assay were performed.Compared with U87 cells,the expression of miR-181b was significantly decreased in U87 glioma stem cells.Overexpression of miR-181b decreased neurosphere formation by U87 glioma stem cells in vitro and suppressed colony formation in soft agar,and the cell growth inhibition rates increased in a time-dependent manner in U87 glioma stem cells infected with miR-181b lentivirus.Furthermore,miR-181b had a synergistic effect on temozolomide-induced inhibition of secondary neurosphere and soft agar colony,and on cell growth inhibition rates.MiR-181b functions as a tumor suppressor that suppresses proliferation and reduces chemoresistance to temozolomide in glioma stem cells.Ping Li Xiaoming Lu Yingyi Wang Lihua Sun Chunfa Qian Wei Yan Ning Liu Yongping You Zhen Fu 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,6:14
2Growth Characteristics and Reinforcing Behavior of In-situ NbCp in Laser Cladded Fe-based Composite Coating显示文摘Over the past decade,researchers demonstrated much interest in laser cladded metal matrix composite coatings for its good wear resistance.In this paper,in-situ NbCp reinforced Fe-based wear-resistance coatings with different designed NbC contents were produced by laser cladding.The formation mechanism of NbC particle was analyzed.The effects of NbC content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of coatings were investigated.It was revealed that α-(Fe,Cr),(Fe,Cr)_7C_3,NbC existed in all coatings.NbC particles formed by the chemical reaction of Nb and C dissolved in the molten pool.The increase of designed NbC content led to the growth of the porosity amount,and the increase of the size and the area ratio of the particle,as well as the transformation of the NbCp morphology from quadrangle to petaloid shape.Moreover,the micro-hardness and the wear resistance of the coating were improved with the increase of NbC.When NbCp content was 30 wt%,the mechanical properties decreased slightly.Qingtang Li Yongping Lei Hanguang Fu 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,7:4

4Environmentally friendly solders 3-4 beyond Pb-based systems显示文摘Based on environmental considerations, global economic pressures, enacted by legislations in several countries, have warranted the elimination of lead from solders used in electronic applications. Sn3.5Ag, SnAgCu, and Sn0.7Cu have emerged among various lead-free candidates as the most promising solder alloys to be utilized in microelectronic industries. However, with the vast development and miniaturization of modern electronic packaging, new requirements such as superior service capabilities have been posed on lead-free solders. In order to improve the comprehensive property of the solder alloys, two possible approaches were adopted in the current research and new materials developed were patented. One approach was involved with the addition of alloying elements to make new ternary or quaternary solder alloys. Proper addition of rare earth element such as La and Ce have rendered solder alloys with improved mechanical properties, especially creep rupture lives of their joints. Another approach, the composite approach, was developed mainly to improve the service temperature capability of the solder alloys. Composite solders fabricated by mechanically incorporating various reinforcement particles to the solder paste have again exhibited enhanced properties without altering the existing processing characteristics. The recent progress and research efforts carried out on lead-free solder materials in Beijing University of Technology were reported. The effects of rare earth addition on the microstructure, processing properties, and mechanical properties were presented. The behaviors of various Sn-3.5Ag based composite solders were also explicated in terms of the roles of reinforcement particles on intermetallic growth, steady-state creep rate, the onset of tertiary creep, as well as the overall creep deformation in the solder joints. Thermomechanical fatigue (TMF) behavior of the solder alloys and composite solders were investigated with different parameters such as ramp rate, dwell time, etc. The damage accumulation features and residual mechanical properties of the thermomechanically-fatigued composite solder joints were compared with non-composite solder joints. 6Characterization of a Novel Weak Allele of RGA1/D1 and Its Potential Application in Rice Breeding显示文摘Semi-dwarfing improves the lodging resistance and yield of rice,and the vast majority of modern rice varieties harbor the sd1 allele to decrease plant height,resulting in reduced genetic diversity and negative agronomic traits.Thus,exploring alternative sources of dwarfism is imperative for rice breeding.Here,we identified a novel RGA1 allele,d1-w,from a local indica variety Xiaolixiang(XLX)using a map-based cloning approach.Compared with other rice varieties,RGA1 in XLX contained a unique single nucleotide polymorphism that resulted in an additional transcript and reduced functional RGA1 transcript level.The RGA1 from Nipponbare was introduced into XLX to estimate the value of d1-w in rice breeding.Compared with transgenic XLX plants(XLX^(D1)),XLX exhibited reduced plant height,increased stem strength,lower reactive oxygen species accumulation,delayed senescence,stronger photosynthesis,higher grain yield and quality(including external,milling and nutritional qualities),and enhanced resistance to drought and Rhizoctonia solani.Therefore,we proposed that the d1-w allele has potential as an excellent dwarfism resource for rice breeding.LIU Yantong LI Ting JIANG Zhishu ZENG Chuihai HE Rong QIU Jiao LIN Xiaoli PENG Limei SONG Yongping ZHOU Dahu CAI Yicong ZHU Changlan FU Junru HE Haohua XU Jie 2022Rice science2022,29,6:2
