2Meta-analysis of cognitive function in Chinese first-episode schizophrenia: MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB) profile of impairment显示文摘Background Compromised neurocognition is a core feature of schizophrenia. With increasing studies researching cognitive function of Chinese patients with first-episode schizophrenia (FES) using MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB), it is not clear about the level and pattern of cognitive impairment among this population. Aim To provide a meta-analysis systematically analysing studies of neurocognitive function using MCCB in Chinese patients with FES. Methods An independent literature search of both Chinese and English databases up to 13 March 2019 was conducted by two reviewers. Standardised mean difference (SMD) was calculated using the random effects model to evaluate the effect size. Results 56 studies (FES=3167, healthy controls (HC)=3017) were included and analysed. No study was rated as 'high quality' according to Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology. Compared with HCs, Chinese patients with FES showed impairment with large effect size in overall cognition (SMD=-1.60,95% Cl -1.82 to -1.38,厂=67%) and all seven cognitive domains, with the SMD ranging from -0.87 to -1.41. In nine MCCB subtests, patients with FES showed significant difference in Symbol Coding (SMD=-1.90), Trail Making Test (TMT)(SMD=-1.36), Continuous Performance Test-Identical Pairs (SMD=-1.33), Hopkins Verbal Learning Test (SMD=-1.24), Brief Visuospatial Memory Test (SMD=-1.18), Mazes (SMD=-1.16), Category Fluency (SMD=-1.01), Spatial Span (SMD=-0.69) and Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (SMD=-0.38). Conclusions Our meta-analysis demonstrates that Chinese patients with FES show neurocognitive deficits across all seven MCCB cognitive domains and all nine subtests, particularly in two neurocognitive domains: speed of processing and attention/vigilance, with the least impairment shown in social cognition. 3Microstructure,texture evolution and mechanical properties of cold rolled Ti-32.5Nb-6.8Zr-2.7Sn biomedical beta titanium alloy显示文摘Ti-32.5 Nb-6.8 Zr-2.7 Sn(TNZS,wt%) alloy was produced by using vacuum arc melting method,followed by solution treatment and cold rolling with the area reductions of 50% and 90%.The effects of cold rolling on the microstructure,texture evolution and mechanical properties of the experimental alloy were investigated by optical microscopy,X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy and universal material testing machine.The results showed that the grains of the alloy were elongated along rolling direction and stress-induced α'' martensite was not detected in the deformed samples.The plastic deformation mechanisms of the alloy were related to {112} 111 type deformation twinning and dislocation slipping.Meanwhile,the transition from γ-fiber texture to α-fiber texture took place during cold rolling and a dominant {001} 110_(α-fiber) texture was obtained after 90% cold deformation.With the increase of cold deformation degree,the strength increased owing to the increase of microstrain,dislocation density and grain refinement,and the elastic modulus decreased owing to the increase of dislocation density as well as an enhanced intensity of {001} 110_(α-fiber)texture and a weakened intensity of {111} 112_(γ-fiber)texture.The 90% cold rolled alloy exhibited a great potential to become a new candidate for biomedical applications,since it possesses low elastic modulus(47.1 GPa),moderate strength(883 MPa) and high elastic admissible strain(1.87%),which are superior than those of Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy.Chunbo Lan Yu Wu Lili Guo Huijuan Chen Feng Chen 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,5:10

19A ribosomal gene panel predicting a novel synthetic lethality in non-BRCAness tumors显示文摘Poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase(PARP)inhibitors are one of the most exciting classes of targeted therapy agents for cancers with homologous recombination(HR)deficiency.However,many patients without apparent HR defects also respond well to PARP inhibitors/cisplatin.The biomarker responsible for this mechanism remains unclear.Here,we identified a set of ribosomal genes that predict response to PARP inhibitors/cisplatin in HR-proficient patients.PARP inhibitor/cisplatin selectively eliminates cells with high expression of the eight genes in the identified panel via DNA damage(ATM)signaling-induced pro-apoptotic ribosomal stress,which along with ATM signaling-induced pro-survival HR repair constitutes a new model to balance the cell fate in response to DNA damage.Therefore,the combined examination of the gene panel along with HR status would allow for more precise predictions of clinical response to PARP inhibitor/cisplatin.The gene panel as an independent biomarker was validated by multiple published clinical datasets,as well as by an ovarian cancer organoids library we established.More importantly,its predictive value was further verified in a cohort of PARP inhibitor-treated ovarian cancer patients with both RNA-seq and WGS data.Furthermore,we identified several marketed drugs capable of upregulating the expression of the genes in the panel without causing HR deficiency in PARP inhibitor/cisplatin-resistant cell lines.These drugs enhance PARP inhibitor/cisplatin sensitivity in both intrinsically resistant organoids and cell lines with acquired resistance.Together,our study identifies a marker gene panel for HR-proficient patients and reveals a broader application of PARP inhibitor/cisplatin in cancer therapy.Chao Zhang Qiang Guo Lifeng Chen Zheming Wu Xiao-Jian Yan Chengyang Zou Qiuxue Zhang Jiahong Tan Tian Fang Qunxian Rao Yang Li Shizhen Shen Min Deng Liewei Wang Huanyao Gao Jia Yu Hu Li Cheng Zhang Somaira Nowsheen Jake Kloeber Fei Zhao Ping Yin Chunbo Teng Zhongqiu Lin Kun Song Shuzhong Yao Liangqing Yao Lingying Wu Yong Zhang Xiaodong Cheng Qinglei Gao Jian Yuan Zhenkun Lou Jin-San Zhang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,6:0
