| 2 | Hall-Petch relationship in Mg alloys: A review显示文摘Grain refinement could effectively enhance yield strength of Mg alloys according to the well-known Hall-Petch theory. For decades, many studies have been devoted to the factors influencing the HallPetch slope(k) in Mg alloys. Understanding the factors influencing k and their mechanisms could offer guidance to design and produce high-strength Mg alloys through effective grain refinement hardening. A review and comments of the past work on the factors influencing k in Mg alloys are presented. Results of these previous investigations demonstrate that the value of k in Mg alloys varies with texture, grain size,temperature and stain. The influence of texture and grain size on k is found to be an essential result of the variation of deformation mode on k value. Without the variation of deformation modes, it is revealed that texture could also impose a significant effect on k and this is also summarized and discussed in this paper. The reason for texture effect on k is analyzed based on the mechanism of Hall-Petch relationship.In addition, it is found in face-centered cubic(fcc) or body-centered cubic(bcc) metals that boundary parameters(boundary coherence, boundary energy and boundary diffusivity) could strengthen twinning or slips to a different extent. Therefore, the role of boundary parameters is also extended into the k values in Mg alloys and discussed in this paper. | 4 | Characteristics of Settings and Etiologic Agents of Foodborne Disease Outbreaks—China,2020显示文摘Introduction:Foodborne diseases are a growing public health problem and have caused a large burden of disease in China.This study analyzed epidemiological characteristics of foodborne diseases in China in 2020 to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control measures.Methods:Data were collected from 30 of 31 provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)in the mainland of China,excluding Xizang(Tibet)Autonomous Region,via the National Foodborne Disease Outbreaks Surveillance System・The number and proportion of outbreaks,illnesses,hospitalizations,deaths by setting,pathogen-food category pairs and etiology were calculated.Results:In 2020,7,073 foodborne disease outbreaks were reported,resulting in 37,454 illnesses and 143 deaths.Among the identified pathogens,microbial pathogens were the most common confirmed etiology,accounting for 41.7%of illnesses.Poisonous mushrooms caused the largest proportion of outbreaks(58.0%)and deaths(57.6%).For venues where foodborne disease outbreaks occur,household had the highest number of outbreaks(4,140)and deaths(128),and catering service locations caused the largest proportion of illnesses(59.9%).Outbreaks occurring between June and September accounted for 62.8%of total outbreaks.Conclusions:Foodborne disease outbreaks mainly occurred in households・Microbial pathogens remained the top cause of outbreak-associated illnesses.Poisonous mushrooms were ranked the top cause of deaths in private homes in China.The supervision and management of food safety and health education should be strengthened to reduce the burden of foodborne diseases・Publicity should be increased to reduce the incidence of mushroom poisonings in families,and supervision and management of food should be strengthened to reduce microbial contamination. | Hongqiu Li Weiwei Li Yue Dai Yuyan Jiang Junhua Liang Santao Wang Maoqiang Zhuang Zheng Huang Lizi Xu Bo Xue Jikai Liu Haihong Han Sara M.Pires Ping Fu Yunchang Guo | 2021 | China CDC weekly2021,3,42: | 14 |

| 6 | Meteorological applications of precipitable water vapor measurements retrieved by the national GNSS network of China显示文摘In this study, the Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) network of China is discussed,which can be used to monitor atmospheric precipitable water vapor(PWV). By the end of2013, the network had 952 GNSS sites, including 260 belonging to the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC) and 692 belonging to the China Meteorological Administration GNSS network(CMAGN). Additionally, GNSS observation collecting and data processing procedures are presented and PWV data quality control methods are investigated. PWV levels as determined by GNSS and radiosonde are compared. The results show that GNSS estimates are generally in good agreement with measurements of radiosondes and water vapor radiometers(WVR). | 7 | The Tibetan Plateau Surface–Atmosphere Coupling System and Its Weather and Climate Effects: The Third Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Science Experiment显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP) is a key area affecting forecasts of weather and climate in China and occurrences of extreme weather and climate events over the world. The China Meteorological Administration, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly initiated the Third Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Science Experiment(TIPEX-Ⅲ) in 2013, with an 8–10-yr implementation plan. Since its preliminary field measurements conducted in 2013, routine automatic sounding systems have been deployed at Shiquanhe, Gaize, and Shenzha stations in western TP, where no routine sounding observations were available previously. The observational networks for soil temperature and soil moisture in the central and western TP have also been established. Meanwhile, the plateau-scale and regional-scale boundary layer observations, cloud–precipitation microphysical observations with multiple radars and aircraft campaigns, and tropospheric–stratospheric air composition observations at multiple sites, were performed. The results so far show that the turbulent heat exchange coefficient and sensible heat flux are remarkably lower than the earlier estimations at grassland, meadow, and bare soil surfaces of the central and western TP. Climatologically, cumulus clouds over the main body of the TP might develop locally instead of originating from the cumulus clouds that propagate northward from South Asia. The TIPEX-Ⅲ observations up to now also reveal diurnal variations, macro-and microphysical characteristics, and water-phase transition mechanisms, of cumulus clouds at Naqu station. Moreover, TIPEX-Ⅲ related studies have proposed a maintenance mechanism responsible for the Asian 'atmospheric water tower' and demonstrated the effects of the TP heating anomalies on African, Asian, and North American climates. Additionally, numerical modeling studies show that the Γ distribution of raindrop size is more suitable for depicting the TP raindrop characteristics compared to the M–P distribution, the overestimation of sensible heat flux can be reduced via modifying the heat transfer parameterization over the TP, and considering climatic signals in some key areas of the TP can improve the skill for rainfall forecast in the central and eastern parts of China. | 8 | Tropospheric Wet Refractivity Tomography Based on the BeiDou Satellite System显示文摘This paper presents a novel approach for assessing the precision of the wet refractivity field using BDS(BeiDou navigation satellite system) simulations only, GPS, and BDS+GPS for the Shenzhen and Hongkong GNSS network. The simulations are carried out by adding artificial noise to a real observation dataset. Instead of using the δ and σ parameters computed from slant wet delay, as in previous studies, we employ the Bias and RMS parameters, computed from the tomography results of total voxels, in order to obtain a more direct and comprehensive evaluation of the precision of the refractivity field determination. | 11 | Dietary L-arginine supplementation reduces lipid accretion by regulating fatty acid metabolism in Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus)显示文摘Background: Excessive white fat accumulation in humans and other animals is associated with the development of multiple metabolic diseases. It is unknown whether dietary L-arginine supplementation reduces lipid deposition in high fat diet-fed Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus).Results: In the present study, we found that dietary supplementation with 1% or 2% arginine decreased the deposition and concentration of fats in the liver;the concentrations of triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein, total cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein in the serum;and the diameter of adipocytes in intraperitoneal adipose tissue. Compared with the un-supplementation control group, the hepatic activities of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase, and lactate dehydrogenase, and hepatic concentration of malondialdehyde were reduced but these for catalase and superoxide dismutase were enhanced by dietary supplementation with 2% arginine. Arginine supplementation reduced the total amounts of monounsaturated fatty acids, while increasing the total amounts of n-3 and n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids in the liver. These effects of arginine were associated with reductions in mRNA levels for genes related to lipogenesis(sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1, acetyl-CoA carboxylase α, stearoyl-CoA desaturase, and fatty acid synthase) but increases in mRNA levels for genes involved in fatty acid β-oxidation(carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1α and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α). | 12 | Microstructure and texture evolution of the β-Mg17A12 phase in a Mg alloy with an ultra-high Al content显示文摘In the present study,the effects of equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)on the microstructure and mechanical property of the Mg-20Al alloy were systematically investigated.For the first time,the texture of Mg17Al12 phase and its evolution with ECAP conditions were reported.The results show that increasing the processing temperature and passes generates more uniform distribution and finer size ofβ-Mg17Al12 phases.The large pieces ofβ-Mg17A12 phases are composed of many fine grains with different crystallographic orientations.For theβ-Mg17A12 phase,a preferred distribution of(001)appears at 523 K and 573 K,and hardly varies with temperature.Nevertheless,a random texture is observed at 623 K.The(0002)poles exhibit a preferred distribution at 473 K,but this preferred distribution varies with temperature.A random distribution of(0002)poles is observed when processed at 623 K.Many types of crystallographic planar relationship betweenβ-Mg17A12 phase andα-Mg matrix are observed and the relationships of{11-23}//{100}or{110}or{111}and{1-211}//{100}or//{110}or{111}have a relatively higher frequency than others.The texture ofα-Mg matrix is much different from that of the ECAPed Mg alloys with a relative low Al content,in which a texture with basal poles inclining approximately 45°away from the extrusion direction often develops.The mechanical properties of Mg-20Al alloy are closely related to the temperature and passes of ECAP.A higher temperature often decreases the yield strength,but hardly alters the maximum strength.There is a low plasticity for all the samples and increasing processing temperature slightly enhances the plasticity.The corresponding mechanisms were deeply discussed. | Changjian Yan Yunchang Xin Ce Wang Huan Liu Qing Liu | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,17: | 3 |
