| 2 | Unprecedented snow darkening and melting in New Zealand due to 2019–2020 Australian wildfires显示文摘Wildfire events have recently shown a rapid increase in frequency and scale due to the warmer present-day climate;however,their potential effects on the cryosphere are difficult to assess.Catastrophic wildfires in Australia during 2019–2020 emitted large amounts of light-absorbing particles(LAPs)to the atmosphere.Satellite observations indicate that these LAPs caused unprecedented snow-darkening of glaciers in New Zealand through long-range transport and deposition,with their effects lasting for up to three months in January–March 2020,influencing>90%of total glacier/snow and leading to a mean broadband snow-reflectance reduction of 0.08±0.03.This snow darkening accelerated snowmelt by~0.41±0.2 cm day–1 during the southern summer,equivalent to that caused by a~1.8°C increase in air temperature.This indicates the significant impact of the 2019–2020 Australian wildfires on the hydrologic cycle in New Zealand,exceeding that of the local climate warming of~1.5°C since the preindustrial period.Wildfire-induced snow darkening is not limited to New Zealand.Future projections of wildfire incidence indicate widespread effects of snow darkening on the global cryosphere. | Pu Wei Cui Jiecan Wu Dongyou Shi Tenglong Chen Yang Xing Yuxuan Zhou Yue Wang Xin | 2021 | Fundamental Research2021,1,3: | 0 |

| 4 | The effect of three dimensional model printing for treating complex acetabular fractures显示文摘Purpose:Our goal was to evaluate the effect of three dimensional model printing for treating complex acetabular fractures,especially focusing on duration of operation,blood loss,and quality of reduction.Methods:From 2012 to 2015,sixty consecutive cases with complex acetabular fractures were sampled using stratified random sampling and equally divided into two groups,the non-3-D group using X-rays and computed tomography(CT)scans for pre-operative planning,and the 3-D group using X-rays,CT scans and three dimensional model printing for pre-operative planning and simulation surgery by surgeons.The nurse recorded the duration of the operation and blood loss.The quality of reduction was evaluated by one surgeon who was not the treating physician.Results:All operations were completed by the same senior surgeon.The mean operative time was longer in the non-3-D group as compared to the 3-D,the difference was statistically significant.Average blood loss was(447.7±48.3)ml and(404.3±63.2)ml,respectively for the non-3-D and 3-D groups,also was more in the non-3-D group and there is a statistically significant difference.According to the Matta classification,radiographic grades were excellent in 10,good in 9,and poor in 11 of the non-3-D group and excellent in 18,good in 9,poor in 3 in the 3-D group,The quality of reduction was better in the 3-D group and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions:Three dimensional printed models can be used in pre-operative planning and surgery simulation.The models are beneficial for reducing operating time and blood loss,increasing the quality of reduction. | 王虎 Zhang Kun Zhang Binfei Wei Xing Fu YaHui Wei Wei Cong Yuxuan Lei Jinlai Liu Ping Li Zhong Zhuang Yan | 2022 | 美中国际创伤杂志2022,21,1: | 0 |

| 7 | Surgical treatment of pulsatile tinnitus related to the sigmoid sinus显示文摘Objective: Tinnitus-a common clinical symptom-can be categorized into pulsatile tinnitus(PT) and non-PT. Among these, PT is usually associated with sigmoid sinus symptoms, such as sigmoid sinus wall defect or diverticulum, for which various surgical treatments are available. We have discussed the clinical efficacy of surgery for sigmoid sinus-associated PT via the transmastoid approach in this study.Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of 4 patients who underwent surgery for sigmoid sinusassociated PT via the transmastoid approach at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from January to December2020. Of these, 2 patients had sigmoid sinus wall defect and 2 had sigmoid sinus diverticulum. Postoperative tinnitus grading and surgical efficacy were determined.Results: After surgery, PT dissolved in 3 patients, while tinnitus significantly decreased in 1 patient.During the follow-up period of 12-18 months, none of the 4 patients showed complications related to increased intracranial pressure or venous sinus thrombosis, and tinnitus symptoms disappeared in 3patients without recurrence, although 1 patient occasionally developed tinnitus. | 8 | Risk assessment of large-scale winter sports sites in the context of a natural disaster显示文摘Accidents induced by natural disasters at sports sites may cause catastrophic loss of great concern.However,previous studies on risk assessments of sports sites have only focused on operational risk and equipment failure.With the frequent occurrence of extreme disasters,the risk of domino chains caused by natural disasters at large-scale events,such as large-scale winter sports sites,cannot be ignored.In this study,a natural disaster-induced accident-chain evolution analysis model(NAEA model)is proposed.Based on the results of the NAEA model,a fuzzy Bayesian network for domino accidents triggered by an earthquake at large-scale winter sports sites was established.Through sensitivity analysis and scenario analysis,it was found that fire and explosion accidents and crowded stampede accidents are the main causes of serious loss in domino disaster chains in large-scale sports sites.Simultaneously,improving the early warning capability,reliability of electrical equipment,and automatic sprinkler systems are the most effective ways to prevent and control major accidents.In addition,an optimal safety strategy improvement analysis was performed to facilitate the decision-making of safety managers to prevent serious accidents and reduce accident loss. | Jiansong Wu Yuxuan Xing Yiping Bai Xiaofeng Hu Shuaiqi Yuan | 2022 | Journal of Safety Science and Resilience2022,3,3: | 0 |
