1Development of real-time laser-scanning system to detect tree canopy characteristics for variable-rate pesticide application显示文摘Improving pesticide application efficiency is increasingly important in orchard spraying.In this study,a laser-scanning system was designed to acquire gridding volumes of a tree to quantify the geometry characteristics of the tree canopy in real-time.A laser-scanning sensor mounted on a linear guide was utilized to measure the structure of a target tree canopy.A computer was used to receive measurement data from the laser scanner and obtain the movement distance of the laser-scanning sensor from a controller.An algorithm written with VC#program was designed to calculate gridding volumes of trees by recognizing valid measurement data from the laser scanner.Laboratory evaluations were conducted on three kinds of regular objects,and the maximum relative errors of section volumes of the cuboid,triangular prism and cylinder objects were 3.3%,7.9%and 9.4%,respectively,which illustrated that the algorithm could calculate the section volumes in different parts of the objects with high accuracy.A conifer tree and an apple tree were chosen to verify detecting accuracy of the laser-scanning system at variable speeds and grid sizes.The variation coefficients of total volumes for each kind of the tree were 0.078 and 0.041,respectively,which indicated that the laser-scanning system could be applied to provide the gridding volumes of different canopy densities in real-time with good reliability for guiding a variable-rate sprayer.Cai Jichen Wang Xiu Song Jian Wang Songlin Yang Shuo Zhao Chunjiang 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,6:14
2The levels, sources and reactivity of volatile organic compounds in a typical urban area of Northeast China显示文摘Air concentrations of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) were continually measured at a monitoring site in Shenyang from 20 August to 16 September 2017. The average concentrations of alkanes, alkenes, aromatics and carbonyls were 28.54, 6.30, 5.59 and9.78 ppbv, respectively. Seven sources were identified by the Positive Matrix Factorization model based on the measurement data of VOCs and CO. Vehicle exhaust contributed the most(36.15%) to the total propene-equivalent concentration of the measured VOCs,followed by combustion emission(16.92%), vegetation emission and secondary formation(14.33%), solvent usage(10.59%), petrochemical industry emission(9.89%), petrol evaporation(6.28%), and liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) usage(5.84%). Vehicle exhaust, solvent usage and combustion emission were found to be the top three VOC sources for O_3 formation potential, accounting for 34.52%, 16.55% and 11.94%, respectively. The diurnal variation of the total VOCs from each source could be well explained by their emission characteristics,e.g., the two peaks of VOC concentrations from LPG usage were in line with the cooking times for breakfast and lunch. Wind rose plots of the VOCs from each source could reveal the possible distribution of the sources around the monitoring site. 3A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 4Temperature Dependence of Ultrasonic Longitudinal Guided Wave Propagation in Long Range Steel Strands显示文摘Ultrasonic guided wave inspection is an effective non-destructive testing method which can be used for stress level evaluation in steel strands.Unfortunately the propagation velocity of ultrasonic guided waves changes due to temperature shift making the prestress measurement of steel strands inaccurate and even sometimes impossible.In the course of solving the problem,this paper reports on quantitative research on the temperature dependence of ultrasonic longitudinal guided wave propagation in long range steel strands.In order to achieve the generation and reception of a chosen longitudinal mode in a steel strand with a helical shaped surface,a new type of magnetostrictive transducer was developed,characterized by a group of thin clips and three identical permanent magnets.Excitation and reception of ultrasonic guided waves in a steel strand were performed experimentally.Experimental results shows that in the temperature range from-4 ℃ to 34 ℃,the propagation velocity of the L(0,1) mode at 160 kHz linearly decreased with increasing temperature and its temperature dependent coefficient was 0.90(m·s-1 ·(℃)-1) which is very close to the theoretical prediction.The effect of dimension deviation between the helical and center wires and the effect of the thermal expansion of the steel strand on ultrasonic longitudinal guided wave propagation were also analyzed.It was found that these effects could be ignored compared with the change in the material mechanical properties of the steel strands due to temperature shift.It was also observed that the longitudinal guided wave mode was somewhat more sensitive to temperature changes compared with conventional ultrasonic waves theoretically.Therefore,it is considered that the temperature effect on ultrasonic longitudinal guided wave propagation in order to improve the accuracy of stress measurement in prestressed steel strands.Quantitative research on the temperature dependence of ultrasonic guided wave propagation in steel strands provides an important basis for the compensation of temperature effects in stress measurement in steel strands by using ultrasonic guided wave inspection.LIU Zenghua ZHAO Jichen WU Bin HE Cunfu 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,3:6
5Characterization of Bacterial Communities Associating with Larval Development of Yesso Scallop(Patinopecten yessoensisis Jay, 1857) by High-Throughput Sequencing显示文摘Bacterial community presumably plays an essential role in inhibiting pathogen colonization and maintaining the health of scallop larvae, but limiting data are available for Yesso scallop(Patinopecten yessoensisis Jay, 1857) larval development stages. The aim of this study was to characterize and compare the bacterial communities associating with Yesso scallop larval development at fertilized egg S1, trochophora S2, D-shaped larvae S3, umbo larvae S4, and juvenile scallop S5 stages by Illumina high-throughput sequencing. Genomic DNA was extracted from the larvae and their associating bactera, and a gene segment covering V3-V4 region of 16 S r RNA gene was amplified and sequenced using an Illumina Miseq sequencer. Overall, 106760 qualified sequences with an average length of 449 bp were obtained. Sequences were compared with those retrieved from 16 S r RNA gene databases, and 4 phyla, 7 classes, 15 orders, 21 families, 31 genera were identified. Proteobacteria was predominant phylum, accounting for more than 99%, at all 5 larval development stages. At genus level, Pseudomonas was dominant at stages S1(80.60%), S2(87.77%) and S5(68.71%), followed by Photobacterium(17.06%) and Aeromonas(1.64%) at stage S1, Serratia(6.94%), Stenotrophomonas(3.08%) and Acinetobacter(1.2%) at stage S2, Shewanella(25.95%) and Pseudoalteromonas(4.57%) at stage S5. Moreover, genus Pseudoalteromonas became dominant at stages S3(44.85%) and S4(56.02%), followed by Photobacterium(29.82%), Pseudomonas(11.86%), Aliivibrio(8.60%) and Shewanella(3.39%) at stage S3, Pseudomonas(18.16%), Aliivibrio(14.29%), Shewanella(4.11%), Psychromonas(4.04%) and Psychrobacter(1.81%) at stage S4. 6Design and performance evaluation of a variable-rate orchard sprayer based on a laser-scanning sensor显示文摘To improve the precision spraying strategy and reduce excessive pesticide application in orchards,an air-assisted sprayer integrated with a laser-scanning system was developed to realize the toward-target variable-rate spraying.In the spray control system,a method of calculating canopy gridding volumes was designed to ensure that the canopy was divided into a uniform grid size,a variable-rate spray model was used in the flow rate decision software to control the spray output according to the canopy gridding volumes and travel speed,and a method of saving and accessing spray data was used to control the spray delay.The effects of different grid sizes and travel speeds on the spray performance were evaluated by quantifying spray coverage uniformity inside tree canopies.The results showed that spray coverage uniformity declined with increasing grid width from 0.14 to 0.28 m although the mean spray coverage on each target location showed no significant differences.Additionally,there were no significant variations in mean spray coverage at speeds of 1.0,1.2 and 1.4 m/s for a tested tree of 1.6 m width and at any experimental speeds for a tested tree of 1.3 m width,which indicated that the variable-rate sprayer could provide good spray coverage uniformity under various travel speeds with a canopy size limitation.Compared with the same sprayer without the variable-rate spray function,the intelligent sprayer prototype realized effective toward-target spraying and avoided overspraying while providing sufficient spray coverage.Jichen Cai Xiu Wang Yuanyuan Gao Shuo Yang Chunjiang Zhao 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:2

8Transcriptome Analysis Provides New Insights into Host Response to Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease in the Black Tiger Shrimp Penaeus monodon显示文摘The hepatopancreatic necrosis disease(HPND)is a common shrimp disease.Aquaculture of the black tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon has suffered with the frequent outbreak of HPND.Understanding the molecular mechanisms of host response to HPND is of pivotal importance for improving its farming performance.In this study,the RNA-Seq platform was utilized to investigate transcriptomic changes of the hepatopancreas in pond-cultured P.monodon with HPND symptoms.A total of 62071 genes with an average length of 953 bp were obtained,and a lot of simple sequence repeat(SSR)loci related to these genes were identified.Totally,5204 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were detected between healthy shrimp and HPND shrimp,with 3399 genes upregulated and 1,805 genes down-regulated.These genes had a wide range of biological functions,and several well-known immunerelated genes including integrin alpha 5,integrin beta 1,C type lectin and catalase were among the DEGs.Cell signaling pathways including the extracellular matrix(ECM)receptor interaction,phagosome and lysosome pathways were significantly upregulated in HPND-infected shrimps,indicating their involvement in the immune responses of shrimp against HPND.The data obtained in this study offers new insights into the molecular mechanisms of shrimp host response to HPND disease,and provides a resource for molecular marker development and genetic breeding studies of P.monodon.ZHAO Jichen CHEN Xieyan HE Zihao CHEN Guoliang LIN Zhaojian LIU Yongkui SUN Chengbo WANG Wei 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,5:1

10INPAINTING ALGORITHM FOR KINECT DEPTH MAP BASED ON FOREGROUND SEGMENTATION显示文摘The depth information of the scene indicates the distance between the object and the camera,and depth extraction is a key technology in 3D video system.The emergence of Kinect makes the high resolution depth map capturing possible.However,the depth map captured by Kinect can not be directly used due to the existing holes and noises,which needs to be repaired.We propose a texture combined inpainting algorithm in this paper.Firstly,the foreground is segmented combined with the color characteristics of the texture image to repair the foreground of the depth map.Secondly,region growing is used to determine the match region of the hole in the depth map,and to accurately position the match region according to the texture information.Then the match region is weighted to fill the hole.Finally,a Gaussian filter is used to remove the noise in the depth map.Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively repair the holes existing in the original depth map and get an accurate and smooth depth map,which can be used to render a virtual image with good quality.Zhao Bing An Ping Liu Chao Yan Jichen Li Chunhua Zhang Zhaoyang 2014Journal of Electronics(China)2014,31,1:1
11Aldosterone may induce visfatin expression via the GR-ERK1/2 signal pathway in 3T3-L1 adipocytes显示文摘The main function of aldosterone is to regulate blood pressure and electrolytic balance;however,recent studies have also focused on the effect of aldosterone on glucose metabolism especially in adipose tissue.Aldosterone was found to inhibit insulin-induced glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 adipocytes [1] and aldosterone deficiency was found to prevent high-fat-feeding-induced hyperglycemia and adipocyte dysfunction in mice [2].Visfatin,an adipokine discovered by the team of Fukuhara,is mainly released by adipose tissue [3].Treatment of 3T3-L1 adipocytes and L6 myocytes with visfatin increased basal glucose uptake,and glucose release was suppressed in H4IIEC3 hepatocytes after visfatin treatment [3].It has also been suggested that visfatin may act as a proinflammatory cytokine [4] and produce chronic inflammation in adipocytes [5].Eyileten et al.[6] reported that treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor,which can reduce plasma aldosterone concentration,decreased circulating visfatin level in diabetic nephropathy patients.These findings suggest a possible interaction between the renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system(RAAS)and visfatin.Considering the important roles of aldosterone and visfatin and the association between RAAS and visfatin,we hypothesize that there may be a direct regulatory interaction between aldosterone and visfatin.To test this hypothesis,3T3-L1 adipocytes were used as the cell model and the expression of visfatin was measured by qRT-PCR and western blot analysis.Junhua Ma Xuemei Zhao Jichen Zhang Fei Sun Jiancan Lu Hongling Zhu Mingjun Gu Jingnan Wang Xiangqi Li 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,3:1

15Correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and atherothrombotic stroke显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that Helicobacter pylori infection is associated with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, but the correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and ischemic stroke remains unclear. The present study assessed the effects of Helicobacter pylori infection on atherothrombotic stroke. This study included 115 individuals with atherothrombotic stroke, all of whom were patients receiving treatment at the Department of Neurology, Aerospace Central Hos-pital (Aerospace Clinical Medical College Affiliated to Peking University) in China, from March 2006 to July 2009. In addition, 131 controls without the history of cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease or atherothrombosis were also enrolled in the study. Results show that the Helicobacter pylori-IgG positive rate was greater in the atherothrombotic stroke patients than in the controls, but the difference was not statistically significant (67.8% vs. 61.8%, OR = 1.301, 95%CI: 0.769–2.203, P = 0.327). After correction for potential risk factors for Helicobacter pylori infection and known risk factors for ischemic stroke, no significant difference was detected between them (OR = 1.278, 95%CI: 0.667–2.449, P = 0.459). These results indicate that there is no specific correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and atherothrombotic stroke. 16α2,3-Sialylation with Fucosylation Associated with More Severe Anti-MDA5 Positive Dermatomyositis Induced by Rapidly Progressive Interstitial Lung Disease显示文摘Dermatomyositis(DM)is a heterogeneous autoimmune disease associated with numerous myositis specific antibodies(MSAs)in which DM with anti-melanoma differentiation-associated gene 5-positive(MDA5+DM)is a unique subtype of DM with higher risk of developing varying degrees of Interstitial lung disease(ILD).Glycosylation is a complex posttranslational modification of proteins associated with many autoimmune diseases.However,the association of total plasma N-glycome(TPNG)and DM,especially MDA5+DM,is still unknown.TPNG of 94 DM patients and 168 controls were analyzed by mass spectrometry with in-house reliable quantitative method called Bionic Glycome method.Logistic regression with age and sex adjusted was used to reveal the aberrant glycosylation of DM and the association of TPNG and MDA5+DM with or without rapidly progressive ILD(RPILD).The elastic net model was used to evaluate performance of glycans in distinguishing RPLID from non-RPILD,and survival analysis was analyzed with N-glycoslyation score by Kaplan-Meier survival analysis.It was found that the plasma protein N-glycome in DM showed higher fucosylation and bisection,lower sialylation(α2,3-notα2,6-linked)and galactosylation than controls.In MDA5+DM,more severe disease condition was associated with decreased sialylation(specificallyα2,3-sialylation with fucosylation)while accompanying elevated H6N5S3 and H5N4FSx,decreased galactosylation and increased fucosylation and the complexity of N-glycans.Moreover,glycosylation traits have better discrimination ability to distinguish RPILD from non-RPILD with AUC 0.922 than clinical features and is MDA5-independent.Survival advantage accrued to MDA5+DM with lower N-glycosylation score(p=3e-04).Our study reveals the aberrant glycosylation of DM for the first time and indicated that glycosylation is associated with disease severity caused by ILD in MDA5+DM,which might be considered as the potential biomarker for early diagnosis of RPILD and survival evaluation of MDA5+DM.Rongrong Zhang Li Guo Jichen Sha Shuwai Chang Jiangfeng Zhao Kaiwen Wang Jiucun Wang Jianxin Gu Jing Liu Shifang Ren 2023Phenomics2023,3,5:0
