| 3 | All in one theranostic nanoplatform enables efficient anti-tumor peptide I delivery for triple-modal imaging guided cancer therapy显示文摘Developing a reliable system to efficiently and safely deliver peptide drugs into tumor tissues still remains a great challenge since the instability of peptide drugs and low ability to traverse the cell membrane. Herein, we constructed a multifunctional nanoplatform based on porous europium/gadolinium (Eu/Gd)-doped NaLa(MoO4)2 nanoparticles (NLM NPs) to deliver antitumor peptide of B-cell lymphoma/leukemia-2-like protein 11 (BIM) for cancer therapy. The porous NLM NPs exhibited inherent photoluminescent, magnetic and X-ray absorbable properties, which enable them for triple-modal bioimaging, including fluorescence, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT). This triple-modal bioimaging can contribute to monitoring NLM NPs biodistribution and guiding therapy in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, the NLM NPs showed negligible cytotoxicity in vitro and tissue toxicity in vivo. Importantly, NLM NPs could load the antitumor peptide of BIM and efficiently improve the resistance of peptide drugs to proteolysis. The BIM peptide was efficiently delivered into the tumor cells by NLM NPs, which can inhibit the growth and promote the apoptosis of cancer cells in vitro, significantly inhibit the tumor growth in vivo. Notably, NLM-BIM theranostic nanoplatform exhibits low systemic toxicity and fewer side effects in vivo. | 7 | Covalent stabilization of DNA nanostructures on cell membranes for efficient surface receptor-mediated labeling and function regulations显示文摘One major challenge of using DNA nanostructures for cellular and in vivo applications is their insufficiently structural integrity that stems from the non-covalent base pairing and stacking in complex cellular and physiological environment. The establishment of covalent bonds in DNA nanostructures can link individual strands more stably and therefore should improve the performance of DNA nanostructures in different scenarios where structural integrity is required. Here, we developed a convenient and effective method for constructing covalently stabilized DNA nanostructures by chemically inserting photo-crosslinker(^(CNV)K) in DNA sequences. These covalently linked DNA nanostructures were found to be more resistant to external interference, such as low cation concentrations and unspecific displacement on cell membranes. | 8 | Spatial Inhomogeneity of Atmospheric CO_(2) Concentration and Its Uncertainty in CMIP6 Earth System Models显示文摘This paper provides a systematic evaluation of the ability of 12 Earth System Models(ESMs)participating in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)to simulate the spatial inhomogeneity of the atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2))concentration.The multi-model ensemble mean(MME)can reasonably simulate the increasing trend of CO_(2) concentration from 1850 to 2014,compared with the observation data from the Scripps CO_(2) Program and CMIP6 prescribed data,and improves upon the CMIP5 MME CO_(2) concentration(which is overestimated after 1950).The growth rate of CO_(2) concentration in the northern hemisphere(NH)is higher than that in the southern hemisphere(SH),with the highest growth rate in the mid-latitudes of the NH.The MME can also reasonably simulate the seasonal amplitude of CO_(2) concentration,which is larger in the NH than in the SH and grows in amplitude after the 1950s(especially in the NH).Although the results of the MME are reasonable,there is a large spread among ESMs,and the difference between the ESMs increases with time.The MME results show that regions with relatively large CO_(2) concentrations(such as northern Russia,eastern China,Southeast Asia,the eastern United States,northern South America,and southern Africa)have greater seasonal variability and also exhibit a larger inter-model spread.Compared with CMIP5,the CMIP6 MME simulates an average spatial distribution of CO_(2) concentration that is much closer to the site observations,but the CMIP6-inter-model spread is larger.The inter-model differences of the annual means and seasonal cycles of atmospheric CO_(2) concentration are both attributed to the differences in natural sources and sinks of CO_(2) between the simulations. | Chengjun XIE Tongwen WU Jie ZHANG Kalli FURTADO Yumeng ZHOU Yanwu ZHANG Fanghua WU Weihua JIE He ZHAO Mengzhe ZHENG | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,11: | 0 |
| 9 | Variation of Dust in Northern China and Its Reproduction in BCC-ESM1 since 1980显示文摘In this paper,we explore the possible causes and mechanisms for the variation of dust in northern China from 1980to 2014 using the Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications version 2(MERRA-2)data,observational data,and BCC-ESM1(Beijing Climate Center Earth System Model version 1)simulation data.Two important dust centers are identified in China:one in the Taklamakan Desert in southern Xinjiang Region and the other in the Badain Jaran Desert in western Inner Mongolia Plateau.Both centers display distinct seasonal variations,with high dust concentration in spring and summer and low in autumn and winter.BCC-ESM1 is able to generally capture the main spatial and temporal characteristics of dust in northern China.Both the MERRA-2 reanalysis data and BCCESM1 simulation data show a decreasing trend in spring dust,which is evident during 1980–2000 and 2001–2014.The analysis based on daily mean dust loads and wind fields from MERRA-2 and BCC-ESM1 indicates that dusty weather in North China may be mainly caused by transport of the dust,especially that from the central and western Inner Mongolia Plateau during the prior 0–2 days,through the westerly winds from the upstream“dust core”region(38°–45°N,90°–105°E).This is one of the important paths for dust to move into North China.The weakened westerly wind in the lower troposphere in this“dust core”region may be responsible for the reduction of spring dust in North China. | Yumeng ZHOU Tongwen WU Jie ZHANG Yong ZHANG Yanwu ZHANG He ZHAO Weihua JIE Yang ZHOU Kalli FURTADO | 2023 | Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,5: | 0 |
| 10 | Electrochemical properties of LaFeO3-rGO composite显示文摘LaFeO_3-xwt% r GO composite(x = 8, 10, 12) was synthesized by ultraphonic stirring and lyophilization method.SEM, TEM and XRD results show that the perovskite-type LaFeO_3 was dispersed by rGO to form special porous structure due to the gauze-shaped wrinkles and folds structure of rGO. It was found that the special porous structure can effectively increase the specific surface area and suppress particle aggregation of LaFeO_3, thus improving the electrical conductivity and appreciably enhancing the electrochemical properties of LaFeO_3. | 11 | Degradation of metoprolol by UV/sulfite as an advanced oxidation or reduction process:The significant role of oxygen显示文摘The degradation of metoprolol(MTP)by the UV/sulfite with oxygen as an advanced reduction process(ARP)and that without oxygen as an advanced oxidation process(AOP)was comparatively studied herein.The degradation of MTP by both processes followed the first-order rate law with comparable reaction rate constants of 1.50×10^(-3)sec^(−1)and 1.20×10^(-3)sec^(−1),respectively.Scavenging experiments demonstrated that both e^(−)_(aq)and H·played a crucial role in MTP degradation by the UV/sulfite as an ARP,while SO_(4)^(·−)was the dominant oxidant in the UV/sulfite AOP.The degradation kinetics of MTP by the UV/sulfite as an ARP and AOP shared a similar pH dependence with a minimum rate obtained around pH 8.The results could be well explained by the pH impacts on the MTP speciation and sulfite species.Totally six transformation products(TPs)were identified from MTP degradation by the UV/sulfite ARP,and two additional ones were detected in the UV/sulfite AOP.The benzene ring and ether groups of MTP were proposed as the major reactive sites for both processes based on molecular orbital calculations by density functional theory(DFT).The similar degradation products of MTP by the UV/sulfite process as an ARP and AOP indicated that e^(−)_(aq)/H·and SO_(4)^(·−)might share similar reaction mechanisms,primarily including hydroxylation,dealkylation,and H abstraction.The toxicity of MTP solution treated by the UV/sulfite AOP was calculated to be higher than that in the ARP by the Ecological Struc-ture Activity Relationships(ECOSAR)software,due to the accumulation of TPs with higher toxicity. | Ying Cao Juan Li Yanxin Zhao Yumeng Zhao Wei Qiu Suyan Pang Jin Jiang | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,6: | 0 |

| 14 | An ethylene-induced NAC transcription factor acts as a multiple abiotic stress responsor in conifer显示文摘The proper response to various abiotic stresses is essential for plants’survival to overcome their sessile nature,especially for perennial trees with very long-life cycles.However,in conifers,the molecular mechanisms that coordinate multiple abiotic stress responses remain elusive.Here,the transcriptome response to various abiotic stresses like salt,cold,drought,heat shock and osmotic were systematically detected in Pinus tabuliformis(P.tabuliformis)seedlings.We found that four transcription factors were commonly induced by all tested stress treatments,while PtNAC3 and PtZFP30 were highly up-regulated and co-expressed.Unexpectedly,the exogenous hormone treatment assays and the content of the endogenous hormone indicates that the upregulation of PtNAC3 and PtZFP30 are mediated by ethylene.Time-course assay showed that the treatment by ethylene immediate precursor,1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid(ACC),activated the expression of PtNAC3 and PtZFP30 within 8 hours.We further confirm that the PtNAC3 can directly bind to the PtZFP30 promoter region and form a cascade.Overexpression of PtNAC3 enhanced unified abiotic stress tolerance without growth penalty in transgenic Arabidopsis and promoted reproductive success under abiotic stress by shortening the lifespan,suggesting it has great potential as a biological tool applied to plant breeding for abiotic stress tolerance.This study provides novel insights into the hub nodes of the abiotic stresses response network as well as the environmental adaptation mechanism in conifers,and provides a potential biofortification tool to enhance plant unified abiotic stress tolerance. | Fangxu Han Peiyi Wang Xi Chen Huanhuan Zhao Qianya Zhu Yitong Song Yumeng Nie Yue Li Meina Guo Shihui Niu | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,8: | 0 |

| 16 | Revealing the solid electrolyte interface on calcium metal anodes显示文摘Owing to its low potential, crustal abundances and environmental friendliness, calcium metal anode(CMA) is emerging as a powerful contender in post-lithium era. However, the passivation of CMA fatally hinders its development. Recently, several feasible electrolytes have been developed. Nevertheless, as a pivotal part, the solid electrolyte interface(SEI) formed on CMA has not been paid enough attention to. In this review, based on the passivation mechanism of CMA, the favorable composition of SEI is emphasized with the corresponding electrolytes. It is considered that boron-containing and organic–inorganic hybrid SEI might be preferred. By comparing electrolytes and SEI on CMA with lithium and magnesium metal anodes, the root causes of CMA passivation are further elaborated, enlightening rational design rules of suitable SEI. Furthermore, some noteworthy details when assembling secondary calcium metal batteries(CMBs) are put forward. | 18 | Spatial-temporal differentiation and influencing factors of rural settlements in mountainous areas: an example of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Southwestern China显示文摘Rural settlement is the basic spatial unit for compact communities in rural area. Scientific exploration of spatial-temporal differentiation and its influencing factors is the premise of spatial layout rationalization. Based on land use data of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture(hereinafter referred to as Liangshan Prefecture) in Sichuan Province, China from 1980 to 2020, compactness index, fractal dimension, imbalance index, location entropy and the optimal parameters-based geographical detector(OPGD) model are used to analyze the spatial-temporal evolution of the morphological characteristics of rural settlements, and to explore the influence of natural geographical factors, socioeconomic factors, and policy factors on the spatial differentiation of rural settlements. The results show that:(1) From 1980 to 2020, the rural settlements area in Liangshan Prefecture increased by 15.96 km^(2). In space, the rural settlements are generally distributed in a local aggregation, dense in the middle and sparse around the periphery. In 2015, the spatial density and expansion index of rural settlements reached the peak.(2) From 1980 to 2020, the compactness index decreased from 0.7636 to 0.7496, the fractal dimension increased from 1.0283 to 1.0314, and the fragmentation index decreased from 0.1183 to 0.1047. The spatial morphological structure of rural settlements tended to be loose, the shape contour tended to be complex, the degree of fragmentation decreased, and the spatial distribution was significantly imbalanced.(3) The results of OPGD detection in 2015 show that the influence of each factor is slope(0.2371) > traffic accessibility(0.2098) > population(0.1403) > regional GDP(0.1325) > elevation(0.0987) > poverty alleviation(0). The results of OPGD detection in 2020 show that the influence of each factor is slope(0.2339) > traffic accessibility(0.2198) > population(0.1432) > regional GDP(0.1219) > poverty alleviation(0.0992) > elevation(0.093). Natural geographical factors(slope and elevation) are the basic factors affecting the spatial distribution of rural settlements, and rural settlements are widely distributed in the river valley plain and the second half mountain area. Socioeconomic factors(traffic accessibility, population, and regional GDP) have a greater impact on the spatial distribution of rural settlements, which is an important factor affecting the spatial distribution of rural settlements. Policy factors such as poverty alleviation relocation have an indispensable impact on the spatial distribution of rural settlements. | 19 | Early Stages of CeO_(2) Thin-film Nucleation and Growth with Photo Irradiation显示文摘In this paper,the early stages of nucleation and photoirradiation growth of CeO_(2) thin films have been studied.Cyclic voltammetry,chronoamperometry and scanning electron microscopy were used to analyze the nucleation process of CeO_(2) thin films deposited on the anode with photo irradiation.Experimental results show that the anodic deposition process with photo illumination is controlled by diffusion.Compared with the dark state,photo illumination mainly contributed to increase the current density of the three-dimensional nucleation process,because photo illumination is helpful to create active sites and accelerate the nucleation progress on the surface that a thin ceria film has been formed.Two-dimensional nucleation process mainly exists within the initial 2 s,and then only three-dimensional instantaneous nucleation process continues,which may be the main reason why the thickness of the CeO_(2) film can continue to grow with photo illumination but not in the dark state.Increasing the deposition overpotential can promote two-dimensional nucleation and growth rate,whilst when the potential exceeds 0.65 V,three-dimensional current density decreases.The limiting factor at that time may be the diffusion rate of cerium ions in the solution towards the electrode substrate. | JIN Tongzheng JIANG Xinyi YANG Yumeng ZHU Benfeng LIU Jiao JIANG Li WEI Guoying ZHANG Zhao | 2021 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3: | 0 |
| 20 | Micropore engineering on hollow nanospheres for ultra-stable sodium-selenium batteries显示文摘Attracted by high energy density and considerable conductivity of selenium(Se),Na-Se batteries have been deemed promising energy-storage systems.But,it still suffers from sluggish kinetic behaviors and similar“shuttling effect”to S-electrodes.Herein,utilizing uniform hollow carbon spheres as precursors,Se-material is effectively loaded through vapor-infiltration method.Owing to the distribution of optimized pores,the content of microspores could be up to~60%(<2 nm),serving important roles for the physical confinement effect.Meanwhile,the rich oxygen-containing groups and N-elements could be noted,inducing the evolution of electron-moving behaviors.More significantly,assisted by the interfacial C-Se bonds and tiny Se distributions,Se electrodes are activated during cycling.Used as cathodes for Na-Se systems,the as-resulted samples display a capacity of 593.9 mA h g^(-1)after 100 cycles at the current density of 0.1 C.Even after 6000 cycles,the capacity could be still kept at about 225 mA h g^(-1)at 5.0 C.Supported by the detailed kinetic analysis,the designed microspores size induces the increasing redox reaction of nano Se,whilst the surface traits further render the enhancement of pseudo-capacitive contributions.Moreover,after cycling,the product Sex(x<4)in pores serves as the primary active material.Given this,the work is anticipated to provide an effective strategy for advanced electrodes for Na-Se systems. | Gongke Wang Yumeng Chen Yu Han Lixue Yang Wenqing Zhao Changrui Chen Zihao Zeng Shuya Lei Shaohui Yuan Peng Ge | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,5: | 0 |
