1Spatial distribution of water-active soil layer along the south-north transect in the Loess Plateau of China显示文摘Soil water is an important composition of water recycle in the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum.However, intense water exchange between soil-plant and soil-atmosphere interfaces only occurs in a certain layer of the soil profile. For deep insight into water active layer(WAL, defined as the soil layer with a coefficient of variation in soil water content >10% in a given time domain) in the Loess Plateau of China,we measured soil water content(SWC) in the 0.0–5.0 m soil profile from 86 sampling sites along an approximately 860-km long south-north transect during the period 2013–2016. Moreover, a dataset contained four climatic factors(mean annual precipitation, mean annual evaporation, annual mean temperature and mean annual dryness index) and five local factors(altitude, slope gradient, land use, clay content and soil organic carbon) of each sampling site was obtained. In this study, three WAL indices(WALT(the thickness of WAL), WAL-CV(the mean coefficient of variation in SWC within WAL) and WALSWC(the mean SWC within WAL)) were used to evaluate the characteristics of WAL. The results showed that with increasing latitude, WAL-T and WAL-CV increased firstly and then decreased. WAL-SWC showed an opposite distribution pattern along the south-north transect compared with WAL-T and WAL-CV.Average WAL-T of the transect was 2.0 m, suggesting intense soil water exchange in the 0.0–2.0 m soil layer in the study area. Soil water exchange was deeper and more intense in the middle region than in the southern and northern regions, with the values of WAL-CV and WAL-T being 27.3% and 4.3 m in the middle region,respectively. Both climatic(10.1%) and local(4.9%) factors influenced the indices of WAL, with climatic factors having a more dominant effect. Compared with multiple linear regressions, pedotransfer functions(PTFs) from arti?cial neural network can better estimate the WAL indices. PTFs developed by artificial neural network respectively explained 86%, 81% and 64% of the total variations in WAL-T, WAL-SWC and WAL-CV. 3Effects of growth temperature on μc-Si:H films prepared by plasma assistant magnetron sputtering显示文摘Hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon thin films (μc-Si:H) were deposited by plasma assistant magnetron sputtering in Ar-H 2 gas mixture. The effects of growth temperature from 150 to 450 C on properties of deposited Si films were investigated at two different hydrogen diluted gases with [H 2 ]/([Ar]+[H 2 ]) of 10% and 50% at 3 Pa. The crystallinity of Si films examined by Raman scattering exhibited higher degrada- tion by lowering growth temperature from 250 to 150 C in low hydrogen diluted gas of 10% than that in high hydrogen diluted gas of 50%. The IR absorption band around 845 and 890 cm 1 as well as calculated concentration of bonded hydrogen showed more obvious decrease of samples deposited in low hydrogen diluted gas of 10% than that in high hydrogen diluted gas of 50%. 4Intrinsic Peroxidase-like Activity of Porous CuO Micro-/nanostructures with Clean Surface显示文摘Porous CuO micro-/nanostructures with clean surface,prepared through Cu_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3) precursor followed by calcination in air,were proven to be an effective peroxidase mimic.They can quickly catalyze oxidation of the peroxidase substrate 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)in the presence of H_(2)O_(2),producing a blue color.The obtained porous CuO micro-/nanostructure have potential application in wastewater treatment.The apparent steady-state kinetic parameter was studied with TMB as the substrate.In addition,the potential application of the porous CuO in wastewater treatment was demonstrated with phenol-containing water as an example.Such investigation not only confirms the intrinsic peroxidase-like activity of micro-/nanostructured CuO,but also suggests its potential application in wastewater treatment.Yuanjun Liu Guoxing Zhu Chunlin Bao Aihua Yuan Xiaoping Shen 2014Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,2:2
5What is the mass of loess in the Loess Plateau of China?显示文摘The Loess Plateau of China(LP) has the largest and thickest loess deposits in the world. Quantifying the amount of loess in the LP is crucial for investigating the accumulation and erosion of loess, and determining the regional soil and water resource capacity. We used loess thickness data, a pedotransfer function for bulk density(BD), and the clay content data observed in 242 sites across the LP to derive the BD of loess and then estimate the loess mass and its distribution across the LP. The results indicated that the average BD of loess between the surface and bedrock is 1.58 g cm^(-3), varying from 1.18 to 1.87 g cm^(-3).The total loess mass is approximately 5.45 ? 10^(13) t, and the average loess mass over an area of 1 m^2 is 169 t, ranging from 1.36 to 585 t. The greatest mass of loess is in the south-central of the LP while the lowest mass of loess is in the northwest and river valley areas. 11The genomic and bulked segregant analysis of Curcuma alismatifolia revealed its diverse bract pigmentation显示文摘Compared with most flowers where the showy part comprises specialized leaves(petals)directly subtending the reproductive structures,most Zingiberaceae species produce showy“flowers”through modifications of leaves(bracts)subtending the true flowers throughout an inflorescence.Curcuma alismatifolia,belonging to the Zingiberaceae family,a plant species originating from Southeast Asia,has become increasingly popular in the flower market worldwide because of its varied and esthetically pleasing bracts produced in different cultivars.Here,we present the chromosome-scale genome assembly of C.alismatifolia“Chiang Mai Pink”and explore the underlying mechanisms of bract pigmentation.Comparative genomic analysis revealed C.alismatifolia contains a residual signal of whole-genome duplication.Duplicated genes,including pigment-related genes,exhibit functional and structural differentiation resulting in diverse bract colors among C.alismatifolia cultivars.In addition,we identified the key genes that produce different colored bracts in C.alismatifolia,such as F3′5'H,DFR,ANS and several transcription factors for anthocyanin synthesis,as well as chlH and CAO in the chlorophyll synthesis pathway by conducting transcriptomic analysis,bulked segregant analysis using both DNA and RNA data,and population genomic analysis.This work provides data for understanding the mechanism of bract pigmentation and will accelerate breeding in developing novel cultivars with richly colored bracts in C.alismatifolia and related species.It is also important to understand the variation in the evolution of the Zingiberaceae family.Xuezhu Liao Yuanjun Ye Xiaoni Zhang Dan Peng Mengmeng Hou Gaofei Fu Jianjun Tan Jianli Zhao Rihong Jiang Yechun Xu Jinmei Liu Jinliang Yang Wusheng Liu Luke RTembrock Genfa Zhu Zhiqiang Wu 2022aBIOTECH2022,3,3:1

15Effects of ion bombardment on microcrystalline silicon growth by inductively coupled plasma assistant magnetron sputtering显示文摘Hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon(c-Si:H) thin films were deposited by inductively coupled plasma assistant magnetron sputtering(ICP-MS) in an Ar-H 2 gas mixture.The role of ion bombardment in the growth of c-Si:H films was studied with increasing negative bias voltages on the substrate holder from 0 to 100 V.Raman scattering,X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) were performed to investigate the microstructure changes of deposited Si films.Raman scattering showed that the high energy ion bombardment resulted in crystalline degradation of Si films.The XRD results showed the decrease and even elimination of preferential growth orientation of crystalline Si films with ion bombardment energy increase.The SiH bonding configuration changes and the increase of bonded hydrogen concentration were determined with the analysis of FTIR spectra.Furthermore,the dramatic evolution of cross-sectional morphology of Si thin films was detected by TEM observation.HE YangYang SU YuanJun ZHU Ming CAO BaoSheng DONG Bin 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,11:0
16Porous Fe-Mn-O nanocomposites:Synthesis and supercapacitor electrode application显示文摘Transition metal oxide micro-/nanostructures demonstrate high potential applications in energy storage devices. Here, we report a facile synthesis of highly homogeneous oxide composites with porous structure via a coordination polymer precursor, which was prepared with the assistance of tartaric acid.The typical product, Fe-Mn-O composite was demonstrated here. The obtained Fe-Mn-O product was systemically characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, elemental mapping analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was demonstrated that the Fe-Mn-O nanocomposite shows interconnected porous structure, in which iron,manganese, and oxygen are uniformly distributed. In addition, the Fe-Mn-O nanocomposite was then fabricated as capacitor electrodes. Operating in an aqueous neutral solution, the Fe-Mn-O composite electrodes showed an wide working potential window from 0.2 to 1.0 V(vs. SCE), and a specific capacitance of 86.7 Fg^(-1)or 0.4 Fcm^(-2)at a constant current density of 1 Ag^(-1)with good cycle life. 17Double interface regulation: Toward highly stable lithium metal anode with high utilization显示文摘The undesirable Li dendrite growth and other knock-on issues have signifi-cantly plagued the application of Li metal anodes(LMAs).Herein,we report that the synergistic regulation of double interfaces adjacent to the metallic Li anode can effectively prevent the dendritic Li growth,significantly improving the cycling performance of LMAs under harsh conditions including high cur-rent density and high depth of discharge.Thorough comparison of electrolytes demonstrated that 1 M lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide(LiFSI)in 1,2-dimethoxyethane(DME)can yield a robust and lithiophobic LiF-rich upper interface(solid electrolyte interphase).Besides,the Sb-based buffer layer forms a lithiophilic lower interface on current collector.The synergy of the upper and lower interfacial engineering plays an important role for outstanding cyclability of LMAs.Consequently,the plating/stripping of Li can be stably repeated for 835 and 329 cycles with an average Coulombic efficiency(CE)above 99%at 1 and 3 mA h cm?2,respectively.Surprisingly,the Li||Li symmetric cell can even withstand the baptism of current density up to 20 mA cm?2.The excellent performance validates that the facile synergistic regulating of interfaces adjacent to the metallic Li anode provides an effective pathway to stabilize LMAs.Guanyao Wang Ming Zhu Ying Zhang Chan Song Xiaolong Zhu Zhongyi Huang Yuanjun Zhang Fangfang Yu Gang Xu Minghong Wu Hua-Kun Liu Shi-Xue Dou Chao Wu 2022InfoMat2022,4,7:0
