| 1 | An antioxidant system through conjugating superoxide dismutase onto metal-organic framework for cardiac repair显示文摘Acute myocardial infarction(AMI)remains a dominant origin of morbidity,mortality and disability worldwide.Increases in reactive oxygen species(ROS)are key contributor to excessive cardiac injury after AMI.Here we developed an immobilized enzyme with Superoxide Dismutase(SOD)activity cross-link with Zr-based metal-organic framework(ZrMOF)(SOD-ZrMOF)for mitigate ROS-caused injury.In vitro and in vivo evidence indicates that SOD-ZrMOF exhibits excellent biocompatibility.By efficiently scavenging ROS and suppressing oxidative stress,SOD-ZrMOF can protect the function of mitochondria,reduce cell death and alleviate inflammation.More excitingly,long-term study using an animal model of AMI demonstrated that SOD-ZrMOF can reduce the infarct area,protect cardiac function,promote angiogenesis and inhibit pathological myocardial remodeling.Therefore,SOD-ZrMOF holds great potential as an efficacious and safe nanomaterial treatment for AMI. | Jiacheng Guo Zhenzhen Yang Yongzheng Lu Chunyan Du Chang Cao Bo Wang Xiaoting Yue Zenglei Zhang Yanyan Xu Zhen Qin Tingting Huang Wei Wang Wei Jiang Jinying Zhang Junnan Tang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,4: | 4 |
| 2 | Fabrication and characteristic detection of graphene nanoelectrodes显示文摘Graphene has the advantages of high electrical conductivity,high heat conductivity,and low noise,which makes it a potential option for integrated circuits interconnection and nanoelectrodes.In this paper,we present a novel fabrication method for graphene nanoeletrodes with nanogap.First,graphene grown by chemical vapor deposition(CVD)is assembled to a chip with microelectrodes.Second,an atomic force microscopy(AFM)based mechanical cutting method is developed to cut the graphene into nanoribbons and nanoeletrodes with nanogap.Then the electronic property of a single nanodot is characterized using the garphene nanoelectrodes,demonstrating the effectiveness of the graphene nanoelectrodes.The fabricated graphene nanoeletrode pairs can be used as probes to detect single molecule in micro-environment,and show an attractive prospect for future molecular electronics applications. | XIE ShuangXi LIU ZengLei JIAO NianDong TUNG Steve LIU LianQing | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,10: | 4 |
| 3 | Polymorphisms of potential drug resistant molecular markers in Plasmodium vivax from China-Myanmar border during 2008-2017显示文摘Background:Plasmodium vivax remains the predominant species at the China–Myanmar border,imposing a major challenge to the recent gains in regional malaria elimination.To closely supervise the emerging of drug resistance in this area,we surveyed the variations in genes potentially correlated with drug resistance in P.vivax parasite and the possible drug selection with time.Methods:A total of 235 P.vivax samples were collected from patients sufering uncomplicated malaria at Yingjiang,Tengchong,and Longling counties,and Nabang port in China,Yunnan province,and Laiza sub-township in Myanmar,from 2008 to 2017.Five potential drug resistance genes were amplifed utilizing nested-PCR and analyzed,including pvdhfr,pvdhps,pvmdr1,pvcrt-o,and pvk12.The Pearson’s Chi-squared test or Fisher’s exact test were applied to determine the statistical frequency diferences of mutations between categorical data.Results:The pvdhfr F57I/L,S58R,T61M and S117T/N presented in 40.6%,56.7%,40.1%,and 56.0% of the sequenced P.vivax isolates,and these mutations signifcantly decreased with years.The haplotype formed by these quadruple mutations predominated in Yingjiang,Tengchong,Longling and Nabang.While a mutation H99S/R(56.6%)dominated in Laiza and increased with time.In pvdhps,the A383G prevailed in 69.2% of the samples,which remained the most prevalent haplotype.However,a signifcant decrease of its occurrence was also noticed over the time.The S382A/C and A553G existed in 8.4% and 30.8% of the isolates,respectively.In pvmdr1,the mutation Y976F occurred at a low frequency in 5/232(2.2%),while T958M was fxed and F1076L was approaching fxed(72.4%).The K10 insertion was detected at an occurrence of 33.2% in pvcrt-o,whereas there was no signifcant diference among the sites or over the time.No mutation was identifed in pvk12.Conclusions:Mutations related with resistance to antifolate drugs are prevalent in this area,while their frequencies decrease signifcantly with time,suggestive of increased susceptibility of P.vivax parasite to antifolate drugs.Resistance to chloroquine(CQ)is possibly emerging.However,since the molecular mechanisms underneath CQ resistance is yet to be better understood,close supervision of clinical drug efciency and continuous function investigation is urgently needed to alarm drug resistance. | Zhensheng Wang Chunyan Wei Yunchun Pan Zhihua Wang Xin Ji Qianqian Chen Lianhui Zhang Zenglei Wang Heng Wang | 2022 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,2: | 2 |

| 6 | Review of China's policy and management system for the paid use of sea area Feng显示文摘As a carrier to develop various marine resources, sea area is regulated as a kind of important resources through legislation by many coastal countries with a management system for the paid use of sea area. Since the early 1990s, China has begun to implement the paid use and formed an institutional system comprised of three levels after developing it for more than two decades. From 2002 to 2015, the Chinese Government transferred the use right of sea area of 33,910 km2 by paid use and levied a total of 75.89 billion CNY (11.328 billion US dollars) of sea area use payment. Apart from this, the Government has gained rich experience in operating and managing the compensable use of sea area. After retrospectively analyzing the development history of paid use of China’s sea area, the research presents an institutional structure and the implementation of the management system for the paid use of sea area and the main problems therein. On this basis, management policies and feasible policy suggestions are proposed. | 8 | Phosphorylation of PB2 at serine 181 restricts viral replication and virulence of the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza virus in mice显示文摘Influenza A virus(IAV)continues to pose a pandemic threat to public health,resulting a high mortality rate annually and during pandemic years.Posttranslational modification of viral protein plays a substantial role in regulating IAV infection.Here,based on immunoprecipitation(IP)-based mass spectrometry(MS)and purified virus-coupled MS,a total of 89 phosphorylation sites distributed among 10 encoded viral proteins of IAV were identified,including 60 novel phosphorylation sites.Additionally,for the first time,we provide evidence that PB2 can also be acetylated at site K187.Notably,the PB2 S181 phosphorylation site was consistently identified in both IP-based MS and purified virus-based MS.Both S181 and K187 are exposed on the surface of the PB2 protein and are highly conserved in various IAV strains,suggesting their fundamental importance in the IAV life cycle.Bioinformatic analysis results demonstrated that S181E/A and K187Q/R mimic mutations do not significantly alter the PB2 protein structure.While continuous phosphorylation mimicked by the PB2 S181E mutation substantially decreases viral fitness in mice,PB2 K187Q mimetic acetylation slightly enhances viral virulence in mice.Mechanistically,PB2 S181E substantially impairs viral polymerase activity and viral replication,remarkably dampens protein stability and nuclear accumulation of PB2,and significantly weakens IAV-induced inflammatory responses.Therefore,our study further enriches the database of phosphorylation and acetylation sites of influenza viral proteins,laying a foundation for subsequent mechanistic studies.Meanwhile,the unraveled antiviral effect of PB2 S181E mimetic phosphorylation may provide a new target for the subsequent study of antiviral drugs. | Jiao Hu Zixiong Zeng Xia Chen Manyu Zhang Zenglei Hu Min Gu Xiaoquan Wang Ruyi Gao Shunlin Hu Yu Chen Xiaowen Liu Daxin Peng Xiufan Liu | 2024 | Virologica Sinica2024,39,1: | 0 |
