1Formation of the Yalong Downstream Terraces in the SE Tibetan Plateau and Its Implication for the Uplift of the Plateau显示文摘The Yalong River is an important river that runs across the abruptly changing terrain of the SE Tibetan Plateau. The terraces and Quaternary sediments in its valleys preserve the information of tectonic uplift,climate changes,and landform evolution since the Middle Pleistocene. Based on geomorphological,sedimentological,and chronological investigations,6–8 terraces are identified in the lower reaches of Yalong catchment and its tributary—the Anning River. The electron spin resonance(ESR) or optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) data on the alluvial sediments in the upper portion of terraces indicate that they formed in 1.10,0.90,0.72,0.06–0.04,0.03–0.02,and 0.01 Ma. Tectonic uplift and the climatic cycle controlled the formation of the Yalong River terraces. The former dominated the dissection depths and incision rates,whereas the latter controlled the transformation between accumulation,which developed during the glacial period,and incision,which developed during the glacial-interglacial transition. The Yalong downstream incised rapidly from 1.10 to 0.72 Ma and rapidly from 0.06 Ma until the present; the terraces developed during these two periods. The incision rates in space during the two periods indicate the uplifting extent of the Jinpingshan area,which decreases toward the east and the south. The results reveal two rapidly uplifting stages in the SE Tibetan Plateau,including an accelerated uplifting since 0.06 Ma. Since the Middle Pleistocene,the tectonic uplift of the SE and NE parts of the Tibetan Plateau is synchronous,according to the same development stages of the river terraces of the Yalong downstream and the Yellow River in the Lanzhou area of the NE Tibetan Plateau. The difference in the horizontal displacement between the Xianshuihe Fault and the Anninghe Fault bend resulted in the rapid uplift of the Jinpingshan area. The incision rate for the spatial distribution of the Yalong downstream is the geomorphological response of crustal shortening and uplift differences in the SE margin block of the Tibetan Plateau. 2Andrographolide and Its Derivative Potassium Dehydrographolide Succinate Suppress PRRSV Replication in Primary and Established Cells via Differential Mechanisms of Action显示文摘Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV) continues to cause significant economic loss worldwide and remains a serious threat to the pork industry. Currently, vaccination strategies provide limited protection against PRRSV infection, and consequently, new antiviral strategies are urgently required. Andrographolide(Andro) and its derivative potassium dehydrographolide succinate(PDS) have been used clinically in China and other Asian countries as therapies for inflammation-related diseases, including bacterial and viral infections, for decades. Here, we demonstrate that Andro and PDS exhibit robust activity against PRRSV replication in Marc-145 cells and primary porcine alveolar macrophages(PAMs). The two compounds exhibited broad-spectrum inhibitory activities in vitro against clinically circulating type 2 PRRSV GD-HD, XH-GD, and NADC30-like HNhx strains in China. The EC_(50)values of Andro against three tested PRRSV strain infections in Marc-145 cells ranged from 11.7 to 15.3 lmol/L, with selectivity indexes ranging from 8.3 to10.8, while the EC_(50)values of PDS ranged from 57.1 to 85.4 lmol/L, with selectivity indexes ranging from 344 to 515.Mechanistically, the anti-PRRSV activity of the two compounds is closely associated with their potent suppression on NFj B activation and enhanced oxidative stress induced by PRRSV infection. Further mechanistic investigations revealed that PDS, but not Andro, is able to directly interact with PRRSV particles. 4Intensification of the East Asian Monsoon in Southern China at about300-400 kaBP Inferred from Eolian Deposits in the Middle-lower Reaches of the Yangtze River显示文摘In the East Asian monsoon region,eolian deposits widely distributed in the middle-lower reaches of the Yantgze River are among the best materials available for studies on Quaternary climate change in the subtropical zone of Southern China.Typical eolian deposits in this region include upper Xiashu Loess(XL) and underlying Vermiculated Red Soil(VRS) layers.In this paper,chronological and paleoclimatic studies are conducted on an eolian deposit sequence near Jiujiang(JJ) city in northern Jiangxi province.A magnetostratigraphic study,combined with optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) dating,is conducted on the JJ section and provides further evidence that eolian deposits in the middle-lower reaches of the Yangtze River have been formed since the late Early Pleistocene,and that the boundary age between the XL and VRS layers is about 300-400 kaBP.In grain-size records of the JJ section,the median grain-size and content of the >30 μm size fraction increase sharply after 300-400 kaBP,representing an East Asian winter monsoon intensification event.Further pollen analysis reveals differing pollen assemblages before and after 300-400 kaBP:there is an evident increase in plants adapted to grow in a warm humid environment after 300-400 kaBP,implying an increase in precipitation caused by intensification of the East Asian summer monsoon.Global ice volume and uplift of the Tibet Plateau(TP) are regarded as crucial factors influencing variations of the East Asian monsoon on a long-term scale.The deep-sea δ^(18)O record,which reflects variations in global ice volume,shows no obvious change after 300-400 kaBP.Moreover,the influence of global ice volume changes on the East Asian summer and winter monsoons is inverse;the global ice volume increase(decrease) implies a strengthened(weakened) winter monsoon and weakened(strengthened) summer monsoon.We therefore interpret the coupled intensifications of the East Asian summer and winter monsoons at about 300-400 kaBP to the uplift of the TP in the Middle Pleistocene.This climate event is also documented in eolian deposits from the southern margin of the Chinese Loess Plateau(CLP) and from the desert-loess transitional belt.However,it is not recorded in the loess-paleosol sequences from the central part of the CLP,thereby indicating differing climate responses to TP uplift in different regions,which requires further study.QI Lin QIAO Yansong LI Yuehui WANG Yan PENG Shasha HE Zexin YANG Shuaibin HAN Chao ZHANG Xujiao 2017Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3:3

6Zero-valent manganese nanoparticles coupled with different strong oxidants for thallium removal from wastewater显示文摘Nano zero-valent manganese(nZVMn,Mn^0)was prepared through a borohydride reduction method and coupled with different oxidants(persulfate(S2O8^2-),hypochlorite(CIO^-),or hydrogen peroxide(H2O2))to remove thallium(TI)from wastewater.The surface of Mn°was readily oxidized to form a core-shell composite(MnOx@Mn°),which consists of Mn°as the inner core and MnOr(MnO,M112O3,and Mn3O4)as the outer layer.When Mn^0 was added alone,effective T1(I)removal was achieved at high pH levels(>12).The Mn-H2O2 system was only effective in T1(I)removal at high pH(>12),while the Mn^0-S2O8^0or Mn0-ClO^-system had excellent T1(I)removal(>96%)over a broad pH range(4-12).The Mn-S2O8 oxidation system provided the best resistance to interference from an external organic matrix.The isotherm of T1(I)removal through the Mn°-S2O8^2-system followed the Freundlich model.The Mn°nanomaterials can activate persulfate to produce sulfate radicals and hydroxyl radicals.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy suggested that oxidation-induced precipitation,surface adsorption,and electrostatic attraction are the main mechanisms for T1(I)removal resulting from the combination of Mn^0 and oxidants.Mn^0coupled with S2O8^2-/ClO^-is a novel and effective technique for T1(I)removal,and its application in other fields is worthy of further investigation.Keke Li Huosheng Li Tangfu Xiao Gaosheng Zhang Aiping Liang Ping Zhang Lianhua Lin Zexin Chen Xinyu Cao Jianyou Long 2020Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,2:1

8GmGPDH12,a mitochondrial FAD-GPDH from soybean, increases salt and osmotic stress resistance by modulating redox state and respiration显示文摘In plants,glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GPDH)catalyzes the interconversion of glycerol-3-phosphate(G3P)and dihydroxyacetone phosphate(DHAP)coupled to the reduction/oxidation of the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)pool,and plays a central role in glycerolipid metabolism and stress response.Previous studies have focused mainly on the NAD+-dependent GPDH isoforms,neglecting the role of flavin adenine dinucleotide(FAD)-dependent GPDHs.We isolated and characterized three mitochondrialtargeted FAD-GPDHs in soybean,of which one isoform(GmGPDH12)showed a significant transcriptional response to NaCl and mannitol treatments,suggesting the existence of a major FAD-GPDH isoform acting in soybean responses to salt and osmotic stress.An enzyme kinetic assay showed that the purified GmGPDH12 protein possessed the capacity to oxidize G3P to DHAP in the presence of FAD.Overexpression and RNA interference of GmGPDH12 in soybean hairy roots resulted in elevated tolerance and sensitivity to salt and osmotic stress,respectively.G3P contents were significantly lower in GmGPDH12-overexpressing hair roots and higher in knockdown hair roots,indicating that GmGPDH12 was essential for G3P catabolism.A significant perturbation in redox status of NADH,ascorbic acid(ASA)and glutathione(GSH)pools was observed in GmGPDH12-knockdown plants under stress conditions.The impaired redox balance was manifested by higher reactive oxygen species generation and consequent cell damage or death;however,overexpressing plants showed the opposite results for these traits.GmGPDH12 overexpression contributed to maintaining constant respiration rates under salt or osmotic stress by regulating mRNA levels of key mitochondrial respiratory enzymes.This study provides new evidence for the roles of mitochondria-localized GmGPDH12 in conferring resistance to salt or osmotic stress by maintaining cellular redox homeostasis,protecting cells and respiration from oxidative injury.Ying Zhao Xin Li Zexin Zhang Wenjing Pan Sinan Li Yun Xing Wanying Xin Zhanguo Zhang Zhenbang Hu Chunyan Liu Xiaoxia Wu Zhaoming Qi Dawei Xin Qingshan Chen 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,1:1

10Dodecyl Mercaptan Functionalized Copper Mesh for Water Repellence and Oil-water Separation显示文摘Reckless discharge of industrial wastewater and domestic sewage as well as frequent leakage of crude oil have caused serious environmental problems and posed severe threat to human survival.Various nature inspired superhy-drophobic surfaces have been successfully applied in oily water remediation.However,further improvements are still urgently needed for practical application in terms of facile synthesis process and long-term durability towards harsh environment.Herein,we propose a simple one-step dodecyl mercaptan functionalization method to fabricate Super-hydrophobic-Superoleophilic Copper Mesh(SSCM).The prepared SSCM possesses excellent water repellence and oil affinity,enabling it to successfully separate various oil-water mixtures with high separation efficiency(e.g.,>99%for hexadecane-water mixture).The SSCM retains high separating ability when hot water and strong corrosive aqueous solutions are used to simulate oil-water mixtures,indicating remarkable chemical durability of the dodecyl mercaptan functionalized copper mesh.Additionally,the efficiency can be well maintained during 50 cycles of separation,and the water repellence is even stable after storage in air for 120 days,demonstrating the reusability and long-term stability of the SSCM.Furthermore,the functionalized mesh also shows good mechanical robustness towards abrasion by sandpaper,and oil-water separation efficiency of>96%can be obtained after 10 cycles of abrasion.The reported one-step dodecyl mercaptan functionalization could be a simple method for increasing the water repellence of copper mesh,and thereby be a great candidate for treating large-scale oily wastewater in harsh environments.Yanling Tian Jiekai Feng Zexin Cai Jiaqi Chao Dawei Zhang Yuxiao Cui Faze Chen 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,4:1

12A high-precision image classification network model based on a voting mechanism显示文摘With the development of satellite remote sensing technology,image classification task,as the basis of remote sensing data interpretation,has received wide attention to improving accuracy and robustness.At the same time,in-depth learning technology has been widely used in remote sensing and has a far-reaching impact.Since the existing image classification methods ignore the feature that the general image semantics are the same as the semantics of a single pixel,this paper presents an algorithm that uses the semantics of an image to achieve high-precision image classification.Based on the idea of partial substitution for global,this algorithm designs a split result voting mechanism and builds a Vgg-Vote network model.This mechanism votes on the semantically segmented result of an image and uses the maximum filtering function to select the category containing the most significant number of pixels as the prediction category of the image.Experiments on UC Merced Land-User complete datasets and five types of incomplete datasets with varying degrees of interference,including noise,data occlusion and loss,show that the Vote mechanism dramatically improves the classification accuracy,robustness and anti-jamming capability of Vgg-Vote.Jianghong Zhao Xin Wang Xintong Dou Yingxue Zhao Zexin Fu Ming Guo Ruiju Zhang 2022International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1:0
13Paleoearthquake Investigation along the Chenghai Fault Zone since~500 ka,Southeast Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Chenghai fault zone is located in the Sichuan–Yunnan rhombus block,which is surrounded by the Honghe River,Xianshuihe–Xiaojiang,and Jinsha River fault zones.As a mid-continental active fault,it is one of the most important seismogenic fractures in the southeast margin of the Tibetan Plateau.Geological seismic study is an important supplement to the historical seismic record;therefore,identification of paleoearthquake events in this region is of great significance to reveal the pattern and mechanism of earthquake development.In this study,detailed investigation has been carried out on the earthquake traces that formed in the Quaternary sediments in the Jinsha River section of the Chenghai fault zone,and samples for dating chronology testing were also collected.Many paleoearthquake traces were discovered in the field,including earthquake fissions,dammed lake sediments and landslides,earthquake-generated rock falls,seismic faults,and sand liquefaction veins.The collected samples were tested using optically stimulated luminescence,electron-spin resonance,and U-series methods.A total of 68 chronological samples were dated,combined with the results of field investigations,and 10 large paleoearthquake events were discovered in this region since 500 ka,which are at approximately 450,400,345,300,250,190,155,105,75,and 25 ka.Ten tectonic activity periods that produced multiple paleoearthquake events were identified since 500 ka.This study identifies paleoearthquake events in longer scales,larger spaces,and more extensive sediments,which provides new perspectives and new ideas for paleoearthquake research.YANG Shuaibin QIAO Yansong WU Zhonghai ZHANG Xujiao QI Lin HE Zexin LIANG Ying 2021Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,4:0
14Restrictions of the Islamic Financial System and Counterpart Financial Support for Xinjiang显示文摘This paper builds a theoretical framework of two-period general equilibrium model to explore whether 1) the restrictions of the Islamic financial system(RIFS) limit economic development in Xinjiang and 2) counterpart financial support for Xinjiang(CFSX) promotes economic development and social stability. First, we introduce above mentioned restrictions caused by Islamic beliefs into a general equilibrium model and modify Islamic agents' budget constraints to define the benchmark equilibrium.Comparing the benchmark equilibrium with the perfect equilibrium, in which these restrictions are removed, we discover the RIFS paradox that RIFS undermine the social welfare and income of Muslims.Second, the financial support is introduced into the pattern of benchmark equilibrium as an exogenous variable to model its impact and hence we define the CFSX equilibrium. 15Laser Ablation and Chemical Oxidation Synergistically Induced Micro/Nano Re-entrant Structures for Super-Oleophobic Surface with Cassie State显示文摘Generally,re-entrant structures are a key part of fabricating superoleophobic surfaces,and this structure appears in almost all kinds of published research articles regarding superoleophobicity.However,the application of related fabrication methods is usually too complex and costly in real practice.In this paper,we present a simple method to generate micro-cauliflower structures,which work as re-entrant structures in microcone arrays,to promote the formation of superoleophobic surfaces.The heating process after alkali-assisted surface oxidation is the main reason for the appearance of a micro-ball structure,and the oxidation time can influence the size of the micro-ball.To the best of our knowledge,the influence of the heating process after alkali-assisted surface oxidation on the birth of the micro-ball structure is seldom researched.A low-surface-energy treatment was also analyzed in influencing the size of the re-entrant structure and its relative wettability.Droplets of 5μl of n-decane show contact angles of 155±1°on the as-prepared superoleophobic surface,and air pockets can be clearly seen underneath,indicating a stable Cassie contacting state and a promising application value in the near future.Jiaqi Chao Faze Chen Lei Xia Zexin Cai Fujun Wang Yanling Tian Dawei Zhang 2023Nanomanufacturing and Metrology2023,6,2:0

19Lateral organic-inorganic hybrid Vis-NIR photodetectors based on GaN nanowires promoting photogenerated carriers transfer显示文摘The narrow bandgap of the low-energy near-infrared(NIR)polymer would lead to overlap between adjacent energy levels,which is a major barrier to the preparation of Vis-NIR polymer bulk hetero-junction(BHJ)photodetectors with small responsivity and photocurrent.In this study,a high-performance lateral inorganic-organic hybrid photodetector was constructed to eliminate this barrier by combining GaN nanowires(GaN-NWs)with PDPP3T:PC61BM-based BHJ.In stage one,high-quality GaN-NWs were synthesized by the catalyst-free CVD method.The mechanism for controlling GaN-NWs morphology by adjusting the NH3 flow rate was revealed.In stage two,the GaN-NWs with large electron mobility were used to accelerate the transfer of photogenerated carriers in the BHJ layer.Finally,compared with the BHJ device,the BHJ/GaN device demonstrated obvious improvements in responsivity and photocurrent at the wavelength between 400 and 1000 nm.The responsivity and photocurrent increased over 20-fold at the NIR band of 800e900 nm.Besides,owing to the energy level gradient effect,the BHJ/GaN device has a response speed of 7.8/<5.0 ms,which increases over three orders of magnitude than that of the GaN-NWs-based device(tr/tf:7.1/10.9 s).Therefore,the novel device structure proposed in this work holds great potential for preparing high-performance Vis-NIR photodetectors.Tao Han Zexin Wu Zhilong Deng Xiaofeng Zhang Sidi Yang Cuicui Chen Jiajia Zhu Shufang Ding Chunzhi Jiang 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,4:0
20Experimental study on the key factors of low-loss threshing of high-moisture maize显示文摘The rates of maize breakage and entrainment loss are high in the harvest of high-moisture maize,which remains an issue with the development of agricultural mechanization.In order to reduce the maize breakage and entrainment loss rates,the correlations among key factors,such as the threshing cylinder speed,concave clearance and feeding rate,and the rates of breakage and entrainment loss during high-moisture maize harvesting were studied in this paper.A single-factor experiment was carried out using a single-longitudinal-axial flow maize harvester,and an orthogonal experiment was carried out using single-and double-longitudinal-axial flow maize harvesters with the Taguchi experimental design method.The single-factor experiment revealed that when the cylinder speed increased,the breakage rate of maize decreased first and then increased,while the entrainment loss rate decreased.The breakage rate of maize decreased as the concave clearance increased,while the entrainment loss rate decreased first and then increased.The optimum value of the concave clearance was positively correlated with the ear diameter of maize;Additionally,the minimum breakage rate of maize occurred when the feeding rate was at the rated value,and the entrainment loss rate increased as the feeding rate increased.The orthogonal experiments revealed that the importance of cylinder speed,feeding rate,concave clearance on the maize breakage and entrainment loss rates were in descending order.The optimum values of parameters for the single-longitudinal-axial flow maize harvester were 370 r/min cylinder speed,40 mm concave clearance and 10 kg/s feeding rate.The optimum values of parameters the double-longitudinal-axial flow maize harvester were 550 r/min cylinder speed,35 mm concave clearance and 10 kg/s feeding rate.The research can provide a reference for parameter configuration and control strategy for the longitudinal-axial flow maize harvester with high-moisture maize.Xiaolong Zhu Ruijuan Chi Yuefeng Du Jiahao Qin Zexin Xiong Weitong Zhang Xiaoyu Li 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,5:0
