1Occurrence of perfluoroalkyl substances in matched human serum,urine,hair and nail显示文摘The purpose of this study was to determine perfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs) in human serum, urine, hair and nail from general populations, and to investigate the possibility for human urine, hair and nail used as the biomonitoring sample for PFASs exposure. We detected the concentrations of PFHx A, PFOA, PFNA, PFDA, PFUn DA, PFDo A, PFHx S and PFOS in 39 matched human serum, urine, hair and nail samples from Shenzhen in China. The detection frequency and the median level of PFOS were all higher than that of the other PFASs in four matrices. The median concentration of PFOS in serum, urine, hair, and nail were 9.24 ng/mL, 13.96 ng/L, 0.58 ng/g and 0.63 ng/g, respectively. 3Association of serum levels of perfluoroalkyl substances with gestational diabetes mellitus and postpartum blood glucose显示文摘This study was conducted to examine the association of perfluoroalkyl substance(PFAS)exposure with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) risk and postpartum fasting blood glucose.We used a 1:2 matched case–control study with 84 GDM subjects and 168 healthy pregnant women from Beijing, China. The maternal blood was collected at 1–2 days before delivery, and eight linear isomers and fourteen branched isomers were determined in maternal serum.Logistic regression analyses were performed to evaluate the associations after adjusting for potential confounders. The median of the sum of levels of total PFASs was 4.24 ng/m L with a interquartile range(IQR) of 2.82–6.54 ng/m L. Although maternal PFAS exposure was not associated with risk of GDM, significant positive associations were observed between evaluated exposure to specific PFAS congeners and increasing blood glucose. The odds ratio(ORs) of the highest category of postpartum fasting blood glucose for perfluoro-1-metylheptylsulfonat(1 m-PFOS), perfluoro-3/4-metylheptylsulfonat(3 m+4 m-PFOS), perfluoro-5-metylheptylsulfonat(5 m-PFOS), and perfluorohexane sulfonate(PFHx S) were 2.03(95% CI: 1.09–3.77), 1.93(95% CI:1.04–3.58), 2.48(95% CI: 1.33–4.65), and 2.26(95% CI: 1.21–4.21), respectively, suggesting negative effects of maternal exposure to specific PFAS compounds on glucose metabolism.Yuxin Wang Lei Zhang Yue Teng Jiayu Zhang Lin Yang Jingguang Li Jianqiang Lai Yunfeng Zhao Yongning Wu 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,7:8
4Phase demodulation method based on a dual-identical-chirped-pulse and weak fiber Bragg gratings for quasi-distributed acoustic sensing显示文摘A phase demodulation method for quasi-distributed acoustic sensing(DAS)systems based on a dual-identicalchirped-pulse and weak fiber Bragg gratings(WFBGs)is proposed.Compared to the use of Rayleigh backscattering light in optical fibers,the implementation of WFBGs can contribute to obtaining an optical signal with a higher signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).The dual-identical-chirped-pulse is generated by a time-delay fiber,and the sinusoidal carrier is generated by the interference between the two chirped pulses reflected by adjacent WFBGs.The phase of the sinusoidal carrier represents the dynamic strain change posed on the sensing fiber.Discrete Fourier transform is used to directly retrieve the phase information.The performance of the phase demodulation from interference signals under different sinusoidal carrier frequencies and SNRs is numerically investigated.The piezoelectric transducer is employed to emulate the sound in the experiment to verify the effectiveness of our method.It is shown that the dynamic strain can be well reconstructed at the end of a 101.64 km fiber when the signal SNR is down to 3.234 d B.Our proposed method enables the application of the long-distance sensing in quasi-DAS systems.Guanhua Liang Junfeng Jiang Kun Liu Shuang Wang Tianhua Xu Wenjie Chen Zhe Ma Zhenyang Ding Xuezhi Zhang Yongning Zhang Tiegen Liu 2020Photonics Research2020,8,7:6

6Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant. 7Regulation of microbiota–GLP1 axis by sennoside A in diet-induced obese mice显示文摘Sennoside A(SA) is a bioactive component of Chinese herbal medicines with an activity of irritant laxative, which is often used in the treatment of constipation and obesity. However, its activity remains unknown in the regulation of insulin sensitivity. In this study, the impact of SA on insulin sensitivity was tested in high fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice through dietary supplementation. At a dosage of 30 mg/kg/day, SA improved insulin sensitivity in the mice after 8-week treatment as indicated by HOMA-IR(homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance) and glucose tolerance test(GTT). SA restored plasma level of glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP1) by 90% and mRNA expression of Glp1 by 80% in the large intestine of HFD mice. In the mechanism, SA restored the gut microbiota profile, short chain fatty acids(SCFAs), and mucosal structure in the colon. A mitochondrial stress was observed in the enterocytes of HFD mice with ATP elevation, structural damage, and complex dysfunction. The mitochondrial response was induced in enterocytes by the dietary fat as the same responses were induced by palmitic acid in the cell culture. The mitochondrial response was inhibited in HFD mice by SA treatment. 8Characteristics of blood glucose excursions in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with three different Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the characteristics of blood glucose excursions of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with three different Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndromes.METHODS:One hundred and nine patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were recruited from the Department of Endocrinology and the Department of TCM of the Sixth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University.Subjects were divided into three groups according to TCM syndrome:intrinsic Damp(n- 42),Yin deficiency and internal Heat(n = 25),and Qi and Yin deficiency(n- 42).Subcutaneous interstitial glucose was monitored with a continuous glucose monitoring system for 3consecutive days to investigate the glycemic profile in each group.Plasma C-peptide levels were measured,and an arginine test was taken in 10 patients randomly selected from each group.Glucose data and glycemic variability were analyzed to investigate the differences among the groups.The change in C-peptide levels and the results from arginine trial were used to evaluate β cell function.RESULTS:Indicators reflecting blood glucose level were the highest in subjects with Yin deficiency and internal Heat syndrome,and parameters reflecting glycemic variability were the lowest in those with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome.The change in C-peptide levels showed that subjects with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome had the best βcell function among the three groups;this was confirmed by the arginine trial.CONCLUSION:Patients with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome had a more stable blood glucose profile,as glycemic variability was higher in those with intrinsic Damp syndrome and those with Yin deficiency and internal Heat syndrome.Zhang Hongyan Zhou Jian Zhang Lei Ma Jianhui Sun Yongning Zhao Yuwu 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5:4
9A Power Reduction Method for Pilot Channel of LEO Satellite Based on Dynamic Compensation显示文摘Since the lower power requirement of code division multiple access(CDMA) than that of other multiple access, the CDMA technology is suitable to be used in low earth orbit(LEO) satellite communication system whose space power is limited due to the small size of satellite. The pilot channel of CDMA technology is very important for earth mobile station(EMS) in LEO system to recover carrier and code, but the power requirement of pilot channel is very higher than that of other channels. In this paper, a power reduction method for pilot channel is proposed. By the new method, the power of pilot channel transmitted from LEO satellite is reduced to a lower level. For improving the signal to noise ratio(SNR) of pilot channel with lower power, coherent integration is employed in EMS at the pre-processing stage. Considering the high dynamic situation of LEO satellite, the long period of time for integration will deteriorate the receiving performance of EMS, therefore, a dynamic compensation module is added to carrier tracking loop against the high dynamic. Meanwhile, the transfer function of the new tracking loop and the condition for steadystate zero error are deduced. 10Study on pulsed laser ablation and deposition of ZnO thin films by L-MBE显示文摘ZnO,as a wide-band gap semiconductor,has recently become a new research fo-cus in the field of ultraviolet optoelectronic semiconductors. Laser molecular beam epitaxy(L-MBE) is quite useful for the unit cell layer-by-layer epitaxial growth of zinc oxide thin films from the sintered ceramic target. The ZnO ceramic target with high purity was ablated by KrF laser pulses in an ultra high vacuum to deposit ZnO thin film during the process of L-MBE. It is found that the deposition rate of ZnO thin film by L-MBE is much lower than that by conventional pulsed laser deposition(PLD) . Based on the experimental phenomena in the ZnO thin film growth process and the thermal-controlling mechanism of the nanosecond(ns) pulsed laser abla-tion of ZnO ceramic target,the suggested effective ablating time during the pulse duration can explain the very low deposition rate of the ZnO film by L-MBE. The unique dynamic mechanism for growing ZnO thin film is analyzed. 14Nyström-based spectral clustering using airborne LiDAR point cloud data for individual tree segmentation显示文摘The spectral clustering method has notable advantages in segmentation.But the high computational complexity and time consuming limit its application in large-scale and dense airborne Light Detection and Ranging(LiDAR)point cloud data.We proposed the Nyström-based spectral clustering(NSC)algorithm to decrease the computational burden.This novel NSC method showed accurate and rapid in individual tree segmentation using point cloud data.The K-nearest neighbour-based sampling(KNNS)was proposed for the Nyström approximation of voxels to improve the efficiency.The NSC algorithm showed good performance for 32 plots in China and Europe.The overall matching rate and extraction rate of proposed algorithm reached 69%and 103%.For all trees located by Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)calibrated tape-measures,the tree height regression of the matching results showed an value of 0.88 and a relative root mean square error(RMSE)of 5.97%.For all trees located by GNSS calibrated total-station measures,the values were 0.89 and 4.49%.The method also showed good performance in a benchmark dataset with an improvement of 7%for the average matching rate.The results demonstrate that the proposed NSC algorithm provides an accurate individual tree segmentation and parameter estimation using airborne LiDAR point cloud data.Yong Pang Weiwei Wang Liming Du Zhongjun Zhang Xiaojun Liang Yongning Li Zuyuan Wang 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,10:2
15Structure and electrochemical properties of low-cobalt La_(1-x)Li_xNi_(3.2)Co_(0.3)Al_(0.3) (0≤x≤0.2) hydrogen storage electrode alloys显示文摘The structure and electrochemical properties of a new low cobalt hydrogen storage electrode alloys La1-xLixNi3.2Co0.3Al0.3 (0≤x≤0.2) were investigated with a different additions of Li in replacement of La. With the increase of Li contents the maximum discharge capacity increases from 240 mAh·g-1(x=0) to 328.4 mAh·g-1(x=0.1) and the cycle stability is improved correspondingly. The capacity decay can remain 28.6% (x=0.2) after 230 charge/discharge cycles. The high rate discharge(HRD) ability of the alloys(x≤0.1) is improved and the best HRD is 34.1%(x=0.1) under the discharge current density 1200 mA·g-1. It is found that the prepared alloys are basically composed of LaNi5 as matrix phase and LaNi3 as second phase(x≤0.1). But the abundance of LaNi3 phase dramatically decreases with increasing x. 20Study on the Carry Capacity of Edible Jellyfish Fishery in Liaodong Bay显示文摘Jellyfish fishing is a special type of fishery that mainly exists in some countries of East and Southeast Asia. China has the largest jellyfish fishery yield in the world with an annual harvest of around 300 thousand tons. Liaodong Bay is the most important jellyfish fishery ground in China. However, due to the high benefits of jellyfish fishery, which leads to illegal and out-of-season jellyfish fishing occurring each year in Liaodong Bay. Illegal jellyfish fishery in Liaodong Bay is a typical example of the tragedy of the commons. The key problem is that fishermen seek to an illegally initiate jellyfish fishing as early as possible. In this paper, basing on the data of edible jellyfish's biology and ecology, we mainly analyzed the history of jellyfish fishery in China, especially in Liaodong bay, and then we calculated the carry capacity of edible jellyfish in Liaodong Bay which is about 300 thousand tons one year. This number is equal to the recent annual yield of edible jellyfish in China. Furthermore, basing on the carry capacity and reasonable quotas price analysis, we set up a Jellyfish fishing quotas and deficit quotas buyback system which could be a suitable and effective solution for jellyfish fishery management and development in Liaodong Bay at the underlying roots. Although China is the first country with edible jellyfish aquaculture, the annual yield of jellyfish aquaculture is only one fifth of jellyfish fishing.
