Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced, based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second. Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet, occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map. This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands, which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however, the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years. From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes, which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase, because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces, and artificial wetlands increased. | NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22: | 51
Simulation of rainfall-underground outflow responses of a karstic watershed in Southwest China with an artificial neural network显示文摘Karstic aquifers in Southwest China are largely located in mountainous areas and groundwater level observation data are usually absent. Therefore, numerical groundwater models are inappropriate for simulation of groundwater flow and rainfall-underground outflow responses. In this study, an artificial neural network (ANN) model was developed to simulate underground stream discharge. The ANN model was applied to the Houzhai subterranean drainage in Guizhou Province of Southwest China, which is representative of karstic geomorphology in the humid areas of China. Correlation analysis between daily rainfall and the outflow series was used to determine the model inputs and time lags. The ANN model was trained using an error backpropagation algorithm and validated at three hydrological stations with different karstic features. Study results show that the ANN model performs well in the modeling of highly non-linear karstic aquifers. | Chen Xi Chen Cai Hao Qingqing Zhang Zhicai Shi Peng | 2008 | Water Science and Engineering2008,1,2: | 3
Synthesis and characterization of novel red-emitting copolymers containing fluorene, diketopyrrolopyrrole, and phenothiazine units显示文摘A novel three-component copolymer (PFDP),derived from 9,9-dihexylfluorene,diketopyrrolopyrrole(DPP),and 10-octylphenothiazine,was synthesized through palladium-catalyzed Suzuki polycondensation in good yields. PFDP possessed moderate molecular weight and polydispersity,well-defined structure, and excellent thermal properties with an onset decomposition temperature at 357℃. PFDP in thin film exhibited red photoluminescence from DPP chromophore exclusively, with a peak at 602 nm. Electron-rich phenothiazine units sighificantly improved the injection and transport of holes by incorporating into polymer backbone. Light-emitting device was fabricated in the ITO/PEDOT:PSS/PVK/ polymer/Ba/Al configuration using PFDP as the emitting layer. The device based on PFDP showed red emission [CIE coordinate value (0.62,0.38)] that was close to the standard red (0.66,0.34). The results on electroluminescent performance revealed that PFDP may be a promising candidate for the red emitter with a maximum brightness of 259 cd/m2 and a maximum external quantum efficiency of 0.25%. | QIAO Zhi CAO DeRong LIU QiLin WENG JieNa HE ZhiCai HAN ShaoHu PENG JunBiao | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,12: | 1

Coseismic fault model of the 2017 M_(W)6.5 Jiuzhaigou earthquake and implications for the regional fault slip pattern显示文摘On August 8,2017,an M_(W)6.5 earthquake occurred in Jiuzhaigou County,Sichuan Province,China,on the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. This study investigates the coseismic deformation field and fault model with ascending and descending Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar(SAR)images, aftershock distribution, and elastic half-space dislocation model. The regional fault slip pattern is then quantita-tively examined using the boundary element method. The results show that the ascending and descending interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR)coseismic deformation fields display an overall NNW-SSE trend, with more significant deformation on the southwest side of the fault. The coseismic fault geometry is divided into NW and SE sub-faults with strikes of 162.1°and 149.3°,respectively.The coseismic fault slip is dominated by a left-lateral strike-slip movement with an average rake of-2.31°,mainly occurring at a depth of 0-13.04 km with a shape of an approximately inverted triangle. The fault slip features two peak slip zones, with a maximum of 1.39 m.The total seismic moment is 6.34×10^(18) N·m(M_(W)6.47).The boundary element calculation quantitatively indicates that the regional fault slip pattern may be mainly attributable to the changing strike and dip.The strike changes from NNWeSSE to nearly NS direction, and the dip gradually decreases from the Jiuzhaigou earthquake fault in the north to the Huya fault in the south. With these characteristics, the Huya and the Jiuzhaigou earthquake faults form the eastern boundary of the Minshan uplift zone and accommodate the accumulated deformation. | Yang Liu Yangmao Wen Zhicai Li Ying Peng Caijun Xu | 2022 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2022,13,2: | 1
The Firstly Discovered Cosmic Spherules in Carbonaceous Siltstone from the Taizi Formation of the Mesoproterozoic Shennongjia Group,Central China显示文摘Objective Spherical micro-particles are often preserved in Precambrian sedimentary rocks.Finnish and Chinese scholars have previously discovered carbonaceous, siliceous or ferruginous spherules of out-space origin in the 1.6 Ga and 1.4 Ga sequence, respectively. The presence of spherules can record possible cosmic impact events. Also, cosmic spherules provide important information on the evolution of planets from outer space. This work firstly discovered cosmic spherules in thin layer of carbonaceous siltstone from the Taizi Fm.(1.2-1.3 Ga)of the Shennongjia group in the Shennongjia area。 | KUANG Hongwei SONG Tianrui LIU Yongqing PENG Nan ZHU Zhicai FAN Zhengxiu WANG Yuchong XIA Xiaoxu SONG Huanxin TANG Yong | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3: | 1
Three-dimensional-printed titanium prostheses with bone trabeculae enable mechanical-biological reconstruction after resection of bone tumours显示文摘Reconstruction after resection has always been an urgent problem in the treatment of bone tumours. There are many methods that can be used to reconstruct bone defects;however, there are also many complications, and it is difficult to develop a safe and effective reconstruction plan for the treatment of bone tumours. With the rapid development of digital orthopaedics,three-dimensional printing technology can solve this problem. The three-dimensional printing of personalised prostheses has many advantages. It can be used to print complex structures that are difficult to fabricate using traditional processes and overcome the problems of stress shielding and low biological activity of conventional prostheses. In this study,12 patients with bone tumours were selected as research subjects, and based on individualised reverse-engineering design technology,a three-dimensional model of each prosthesis was designed and installed using medical image data.Ti6Al4V was used as the raw material to prepare the prostheses, which were used to repair bone defects after surgical resection. The operation time was 266.43±21.08 minutes(range 180-390 minutes),and intraoperative blood loss was 857.26±84.28 mL(range 800-2500 mL).One patient had delayed wound healing after surgery, but all patients survived without local tumour recurrence, and no tumour metastasis was found. No aseptic loosening or structural fracture of the prosthesis, and no non-mechanical prosthesis failure caused by infection, tumour recurrence,or progression was observed. The Musculo-Skeletal Tumour Society(MSTS)score of limb function was 22.53±2.09(range 16-26),and ten of the 12 patients scored≥20 and were able to function normally. The results showed that three-dimensional printed prostheses with an individualised design can achieve satisfactory short-term clinical efficacy in the reconstruction of large bone defects after bone tumour resection. | Feifei Pu Wei Wu Doudou Jing Yihan Yu Yizhong Peng Jianxiang Liu Qiang Wu Baichuan Wang Zhicai Zhang Zengwu Shao | 2022 | Biomaterials Translational2022,3,2: | 0
Effects of Chinese Herbal Compound on the Blood Physiological Indices and Cytokines of Myelosuppressive Mice显示文摘[Objective] The research aimed to study the effects of Chinese herbal compound on the blood physiological indices and cytokines of myelosuppressive mice. [Method] Myelosuppressive mice model was established by intraperitoneal injection of 80 mg / kg cyclophosphamide. Chinese herbal compound was composed of Houttuynia cordata,Taraxacum mongolicum,Citrus reticulata peel,Atractylodes chinensis,Paeonia sterniana,Atractylodes macrocephala and Angelica sinensis. The effects of Chinese herbal compound and Astragalus polysaccharide at different doses on the blood physiological indices and hematopoietic growth factors of myelosuppressive mice were discussed. [Result] Myelosuppressive mice model was successfully established. The total white blood cell count, total neutrophile granulocyte count, total lymphocyte count, total platelet count and the contents of serum interleukin-6 and erythropoietin in myelosuppressive mice were significantly decreased. The total erythrocyte count, the contents of hemoglobin and interleukin-3 were decreased, without significant difference. The blood physiological indices and the contents of interleukin-3 and erythropoietin in myelosuppressive mice could be improved by intragastric administration of Astragalus polysaccharide and Chinese herbal compound at different doses for 3 days or 7 days. The effect of 20 g / kg Chinese herbal compound was the best after administration for 3 days, and the effect of 10 g / kg Chinese herbal compound was the best after administration for 7 days. The total white blood cell count, total neutrophile granulocyte count, percentage of neutrophile granulocyte, total lymphocyte count, total count of middle cells, percentage of middle cells, total platelet count, contents of interleukin-3 and erythropoietin in myelosuppressive mice could be extremely significantly improved by intragastric administration of 10 g / kg Chinese herbal compound for 7 days( P <0. 01),and the reduction of red blood cell count, hematocrit, the contents of hemoglobin and interleukin-6 induced by cyclophosphamide could be inhibited( P <0. 01). [Conclusion] Chinese herbal compound could improve the hematopoietic function of myelosuppressive mice induced by cyclophosphamide and its effect was better than Astragalus polysaccharide. 20 g / kg Chinese herbal compound reacted fast and the reaction of 10 g / kg Chinese herbal compound was slow, but its efficacy was lasting. | Mu Xiaodong Zuo Zhicai Gan Meng Cui Hengmin Peng Xi Wang Ya Deng Junliang Xu Zhiwen | 2014 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2014,6,3: | 0
An analysis of the transcriptional landscape in hypoxia-treated primary nucleus pulposus cells显示文摘Intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD)is the main cause of lower back pain.Lower back pain places a huge burden on society, and all current treatments for IDD cannot restore the original function of the intervertebral disc.Proposing new treatments for IDD requires clarifying the mechanisms of IDD.Physiological hypoxia is an important feature of the nucleus pulposus because of its special anatomical structure.Using RNA sequencing(RNA-seq),we obtained the whole transcriptome of nucleus pulposus cells(NPCs)under hypoxia and hypoxia-inducible factor(HIF1A)deletion.Results demonstrated possible effects of oxygen concentration and HIF1A on NPCs.In addition, our results showed that hypoxia can affect lipid metabolism in NPCs. | Zhicai Peng Zhuo Wang Shuaichi Guo Bing Tan Ruichao Cao Shengqiang Cheng Jun Chen Chunwang Xie Dehong Mao Zhenming Hu | 2024 | Genes & Diseases2024,11,2: | 0
The generation and use of animal models of osteosarcoma in cancer research显示文摘Osteosarcoma is the most common malignant bone tumor affecting children and adolescents.Currently, the most common treatment is surgery combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Although the survival rate of patients with osteosarcoma has improved in recent years,it remains poor when the tumor(s)progress and distant metastases develop. Therefore, better animal models that more accurately replicate the natural progression of the disease are needed to develop improved prognostic and diagnostic markers,as well as targeted therapies for both primary and metastatic osteosarcoma. The present review described animal models currently being used in research investigating osteosarcoma, and their characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. These models may help elucidate the pathogenic mechanism(s)of osteosarcoma and provide evidence to support and develop clinical treatment strategies. | Feifei Pu Haoyu Guo Deyao Shi Fengxia Chen Yizhong Peng Xin Huang Jianxiang Liu Zhicai Zhang Zengwu Shao | 2024 | Genes & Diseases2024,11,2: | 0
