| 2 | Estimation of the three-dimensional in situ stress field around a large deep underground cavern group near a valley显示文摘Understanding three-dimensional(3D)in situ stress field is of key importance for estimating the stability of large deep underground cavern groups near valleys.However,the complete 3D in situ stress fields around large deep underground cavern groups are difficult to determine based on in situ stress data from a limited number of measuring points due to the insufficient representativeness and unreliability of such measurements.In this study,an integrated approach for estimating the 3D in situ stress field around a large deep underground cavern group near a valley is developed based on incomplete in situ stress measurements and the stress-induced failures of tunnels excavated prior to the step excavation of the cavern group.This integrated approach is implemented via four interrelated and progressive basic steps,i.e.inference of the regional tectonic stress field direction,analyses of in situ stress characteristics and measurement reliability,regression-based in situ stress field analysis and reliability assessment,and modified in situ stress field analysis and reliability verification.The orientations and magnitudes of the 3D in situ stress field can be analyzed and obtained at a strategic level following these four basic steps.First,the tectonic stress field direction around the cavern group is deduced in accordance with the regional tectonic framework and verified using a regional crustal deformation velocity map.Second,the reliability of the in situ stress measurements is verified based on the locations and depths of stressinduced brittle failures in small tunnels(such as exploratory tunnels and pilot tunnels)within the excavation range of the cavern group.Third,considering the influences of the valley topography and major geological structures,the 3D in situ stress field is regressed using numerical simulation and multiple linear regression techniques based on the in situ stress measurements.Finally,the regressed in situ stress field is further modified and reverified based on the stress-induced brittle failures of small tunnels and the initial excavation of the cavern group.A case study of the Shuangjiangkou underground cavern group demonstrates that the proposed approach is reliable for estimating the 3D in situ stress fields of large deep underground cavern groups near valleys,thus contributing to the optimization of practical excavation and design of mitigating the instability of the surrounding rock masses during step excavations. | Dingping Xu Xiang Huang Quan Jiang Shaojun Li Hong Zheng Shili Qiu Huaisheng Xu Yonghong Li Zhiguo Li Xingdong Ma | 2021 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,3: | 6 |
| 3 | Production of aneuhaploid and euhaploid sporocytes by meiotic restitution in fertile hybrids between durum wheat Langdon chromosome substitution lines and Aegilops tauschii显示文摘Fertile F1 hybrids were obtained between durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) Langdon (LDN) and its 10 disomic substitution (LDN DS) lines with Aegilops tauschii accession AS60 without embryo rescue. Selfed seedset rates for hybrids of LDN with AS60 were 36.87% and 49.45% in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Similar or higher selfed seedset rates were observed in the hybrids of 1D (1A), 1D (1B), 3D (3A), 4D (4B), 7D (7A), and 2D (2B) with AS60, while lower in hybrids of 3D (3B) + 3BL, 5D (5A) + 5AL, 5D (5B) + 5B and 6D (6B) + 6BS with AS60 compared with the hybrids of LDN with AS60. Observation of male gametogenesis showed that meiotic restitution, both first-division restitution (FDR) and single-division meiosis (SDM) resulted in the formation of functional unreduced gametes, which in turn produced seeds. Both euhaploid and aneuhaploid gametes were produced in F1 hybrids. This suggested a strategy to simultane-ously transfer and locate major genes from the ancestral species T. turgidum or Ae. tauschii. | 5 | Rate compatible reconciliation for continuous-variable quantum key distribution using Raptor-like LDPC codes显示文摘In the practical continuous-variable quantum key distribution(CV-QKD)system,the postprocessing process,particularly the error correction part,significantly impacts the system performance.Multi-edge type low-density parity-check(MET-LDPC)codes are suitable for CV-QKD systems because of their Shannon-limit-approaching performance at a low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).However,the process of designing a low-rate MET-LDPC code with good performance is extremely complicated.Thus,we introduce Raptor-like LDPC(RL-LDPC)codes into the CV-QKD system,exhibiting both the rate compatible property of the Raptor code and capacity-approaching performance of MET-LDPC codes.Moreover,this technique can significantly reduce the cost of constructing a new matrix.We design the RL-LDPC matrix with a code rate of 0.02 and easily and effectively adjust this rate from 0.016 to 0.034.Simulation results show that we can achieve more than 98%reconciliation efficiency in a range of code rate variation using only one RL-LDPC code that can support high-speed decoding with an SNR less than-16.45 d B.This code allows the system to maintain a high key extraction rate under various SNRs,paving the way for practical applications of CV-QKD systems with different transmission distances. | Chao Zhou Xiang Yu Wang ZhiGuo Zhang Song Yu ZiYang Chen Hong Guo | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,6: | 2 |

| 7 | Hierarchical macro-microporous WPU-ECM scaffolds combined with Microfracture Promote in Situ Articular Cartilage Regeneration in Rabbits显示文摘Tissue engineering provides a promising avenue for treating cartilage defects.However,great challenges remain in the development of structurally and functionally optimized scaffolds for cartilage repair and regeneration.In this study,decellularized cartilage extracellular matrix(ECM)and waterborne polyurethane(WPU)were employed to construct WPU and WPU-ECM scaffolds by water-based 3D printing using low-temperature deposition manufacturing(LDM)system,which combines rapid deposition manufacturing with phase separation techniques.The scaffolds successfully achieved hierarchical macro-microporous structures.After adding ECM,WPU scaffolds were markedly optimized in terms of porosity,hydrophilia and bioactive components.Moreover,the optimized WPU-ECM scaffolds were found to be more suitable for cell distribution,adhesion,and proliferation than the WPU scaffolds.Most importantly,the WPU-ECM scaffold could facilitate the production of glycosaminoglycan(GAG)and collagen and the upregulation of cartilage-specific genes.These results indicated that the WPU-ECM scaffold with hierarchical macro-microporous structures could recreate a favorable microenvironment for cell adhesion,proliferation,differentiation,and ECM production.In vivo studies further revealed that the hierarchical macro-microporous WPU-ECM scaffold combined with the microfracture procedure successfully regenerated hyaline cartilage in a rabbit model.Six months after implantation,the repaired cartilage showed a similar histological structure and mechanical performance to that of normal cartilage.In conclusion,the hierarchical macro-microporous WPU-ECM scaffold may be a promising candidate for cartilage tissue engineering applications in the future. | Mingxue Chen YangYang Li Shuyun Liu Zhaoxuan Feng Hao Wang Dejin Yang Weimin Guo Zhiguo Yuan Shuang Gao Yu Zhang Kangkang Zha Bo Huang Fu Wei Xinyu Sang Qinyu Tian Xuan Yang Xiang sui Yixin Zhou Yufeng Zheng Quanyi Guo | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,7: | 1 |

| 11 | Public health implications of Yersinia enterocolitica investigation:an ecological modeling and molecular epidemiology study显示文摘Background Yersinia enterocolitica has been sporadically recovered from animals,foods,and human clinical samples in various regions of Ningxia,China.However,the ecological and molecular characteristics of Y.enterocolitica,as well as public health concerns about infection in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,remain unclear.This study aims to analyze the ecological and molecular epidemiological characteristics of Y.enterocolitis in order to inform the public health intervention strategies for the contains of related diseases.Methods A total of 270 samples were collected for isolation[animals(n=208),food(n=49),and patients(n=13)],then suspect colonies were isolated and identified by the API20E biochemical identification system,serological tests,biotyping tests,and 16S rRNA-PCR.Then,we used an ecological epidemiological approach combined with machine learning algorithms(general linear model,random forest model,and eXtreme Gradient Boosting)to explore the associations between ecological factors and the pathogenicity of Y.enterocolitis.Furthermore,average nucleotide identity(ANI)estimation,single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP),and core gene multilocus sequence typing(cgMLST)were applied to characterize the molecular profile of isolates based on whole genome sequencing.The statistical test used single-factor analysis,Chi-square tests,t-tests/ANOVA-tests,Wilcoxon rank-sum tests,and Kruskal–Wallis tests.Results A total of 270 isolates of Yersinia were identified from poultry and livestock(n=191),food(n=49),diarrhoea patients(n=13),rats(n=15),and hamsters(n=2).The detection rates of samples from different hosts were statistically different(χ^(2)=22.636,P<0.001).According to the relatedness clustering results,270 isolates were divided into 12 species,and Y.enterocolitica(n=187)is a predominated species.Pathogenic isolates made up 52.4%(98/187),while non-pathogenic isolates made up 47.6%(89/187).Temperature and precipitation were strongly associated with the pathogenicity of the isolates(P<0.001).The random forest(RF)prediction model showed the best performance.The prediction result shows a high risk of pathogenicity Y.enterocolitica was located in the northern,northwestern,and southern of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.The Y.enterocolitica isolates were classified into 54 sequence types(STs)and 125 cgMLST types(CTs),with 4/O:3 being the dominant bioserotype in Ningxia.The dominant STs and dominant CTs of pathogenic isolates in Ningxia were ST429 and HC100_2571,respectively.Conclusions The data indicated geographical variations in the distribution of STs and CTs of Y.enterocolitica isolates in Ningxia.Our work offered the first evidence that the pathogenicity of isolates was directly related to fluctuations in temperature and precipitation of the environment.CgMLST typing strategies showed that the isolates were transmitted to the population via pigs and food.Therefore,strengthening health surveillance on pig farms in high-risk areas and focusing on testing food of pig origin are optional strategies to prevent disease outbreaks. | Yuan Yue Jinxin Zheng Mei Sheng Xiang Liu Qiong Hao Shunxian Zhang Shuai Xu Zhiguo Liu Xuexin Hou Huaiqi Jing Yang Liu Xuezhang Zhou Zhenjun Li | 2023 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2023,12,2: | 1 |

In the application of the wireless sensor, we should always hold the principle of energy-first, therefore the LEACH which is a hierarchical routing protocol can save energy has played a crucial role, but the optimal number of the cluster head and uniform distribution can’t be archived because of the change of the location of the cluster head nodes. In addition, when the cluster head far away from center sink node communicate with center sink node, the cluster head will exhaust energy quickly to die, that may affect lifecycle of whole of monitoring network and lead to worse expansibility. | 19 | Achievable secrecy rate of bit-interleaved coded modulation schemes显示文摘We study the impact of various modulation mapping strategies and signal constellation shapes on the secrecy rates achievable with bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) schemes. Transmission over an ergodic Rayleigh fading channel is assumed throughout this work. Various constellations and mapping techniques are considered in this work to maximize the capacity difference between the main channel and the eavesdropper channel, rather than to optimize the capacity of both channels. We show that in terms of achievable secrecy rate, Gray and Quasi-Gray mappings only perform well at low SNR but outperformed by other mapping techniques when SNR increases. The proper design of signal mapping can significantly enhance the achievable secrecy rate in BICM schemes. | 20 | Combination therapy with saxagliptin and vitamin D for the preservation ofβ-cell function in adult-onset type 1 diabetes:a multi-center,randomized,controlled trial显示文摘Disease modifying therapies aiming to preserveβ-cell function in patients with adult-onset autoimmune type 1 diabetes are lacking.Here,we conducted a multi-centre,randomized,controlled trial to assess theβ-cell preservation effects of saxagliptin alone and saxagliptin combined with vitamin D as adjunctive therapies in adult-onset autoimmune type 1 diabetes.In this 3-arm trial,301 participants were randomly assigned to a 24-month course of the conventional therapy(metformin with or without insulin)or adjunctive saxagliptin or adjunctive saxagliptin plus vitamin D to the conventional therapy.The primary endpoint was the change from baseline to 24 months in the fasting C-peptide.The secondary endpoints included the area under the concentration-time curve(AUC)for C-peptide level in a 2-h mixed-meal tolerance test,glycemic control,total daily insulin use and safety,respectively.The primary endpoint was not achieved in saxagliptin plus vitamin D group(P=0.18)and saxagliptin group(P=0.26).However,compared with the conventional therapy,2-h C-peptide AUC from 24 months to baseline decreased less with saxagliptin plus vitamin D(-276 pmol/L vs.-419 pmol/L;P=0.01),and not to the same degree with saxagliptin alone(-314 pmol/L;P=0.14).Notably,for participants with higher glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody(GADA)levels,the decline ofβ-cell function was much lower in saxagliptin plus vitamin D group than in the conventional therapy group(P=0.001).Insulin dose was significantly reduced in both active treatment groups than in the conventional therapy group despite all groups having similar glycemic control.In conclusion,the combination of saxagliptin and vitamin D preserves pancreaticβ-cell function in adult-onset autoimmune type 1 diabetes,an effect especially efficacious in individuals with higher GADA levels.Our results provide evidence for a novel adjunct to insulin and metformin as potential initial treatment for adult-onset type 1 diabetes.(ClinicalTrials.gov identifier:NCT02407899). | Xiang Yan Xia Li Bingwen Liu Jiaqi Huang Yufei Xiang Yuhang Hu Xiaohan Tang Ziwei Zhang Gan Huang Zhiguo Xie Houde Zhou Zhenqi Liu Xiangbing Wang Richard David Leslie Zhiguang Zhou | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,5: | 0 |
