| 1 | Feature Selection Method Based on Class Discriminative Degree for Intelligent Medical Diagnosis显示文摘By using efficient and timely medical diagnostic decision making,clinicians can positively impact the quality and cost of medical care.However,the high similarity of clinical manifestations between diseases and the limitation of clinicians’knowledge both bring much difficulty to decision making in diagnosis.Therefore,building a decision support system that can assist medical staff in diagnosing and treating diseases has lately received growing attentions in the medical domain.In this paper,we employ a multi-label classification framework to classify the Chinese electronic medical records to establish corresponding relation between the medical records and disease categories,and compare this method with the traditional medical expert system to verify the performance.To select the best subset of patient features,we propose a feature selection method based on the composition and distribution of symptoms in electronic medical records and compare it with the traditional feature selection methods such as chi-square test.We evaluate the feature selection methods and diagnostic models from two aspects,false negative rate(FNR)and accuracy.Extensive experiments have conducted on a real-world Chinese electronic medical record database.The evaluation results demonstrate that our proposed feature selection method can improve the accuracy and reduce the FNR compare to the traditional feature selection methods,and the multi-label classification framework have better accuracy and lower FNR than the traditional expert system. | Shengqun Fang Zhiping Cai Wencheng Sun Anfeng Liu Fang Liu Zhiyao Liang Guoyan Wang | 2018 | Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,6: | 5 |
| 2 | Effects of Rice-Fish Co-culture on Oxygen Consumption in Intensive Aquaculture Pond显示文摘Rice-fish co-culture has gained increasing attention to remediate the negative environmental impacts induced by intensive aquaculture. However, the effect of rice-fish co-culture on oxygen depletion has rarely been investigated. We constructed a rice-fish co-culture system in yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) and freshwater shrimp(Macrobrachium nipponense) ponds using a new high-stalk rice variety, and conducted a field experiment to investigate the effect of rice-fish co-culture on water parameters and oxygen consumption. The results showed that rice-fish co-culture reduced the nutrients(total nitrogen, ammonia-N, total phosphorous and potassium) and the dissolved oxygen content in fish and shrimp ponds. However, they showed similar seasonal change of dissolved oxygen in the water of fish and shrimp ponds. Rice-fish co-culture reduced the total amount of oxygen consumption and optimized the oxygen consumption structure in pond. The respiration rates in water and sediment were significantly reduced by 66.1% and 31.7% in the catfish pond, and 64.4% and 38.7% in the shrimp pond, respectively, by additional rice cultivation. Rice-fish co-culture decreased the proportions of respiration in sediment and water, and increased the proportion of fish respiration. | 3 | Single-drive high-speed lumped depletion-type modulators toward 10 fJ/bit energy consumption显示文摘Reduction of modulator energy consumption to 10 fJ∕bit is essential for the sustainable development of communication systems.Lumped modulators might be a viable solution if instructed by a complete theory system.Here,we present a complete analytical electro-optic response theory,energy consumption analysis,and eye diagrams on absolute scales for lumped modulators.Consequently the speed limitation is understood and alleviated by single-drive configuration,and comprehensive knowledge into the energy dependence on structural parameters significantly reduces energy consumption.The results show that silicon modulation energy as low as 80.8 and 21.5 fJ∕bit can be achieved at 28 Gbd under 50 and 10 Ω impedance drivers,respectively.A 50 Gbd modulation is also shown to be possible.The analytical models can be extended to lumped modulators on other material platforms and offer a promising solution to the current challenges of modulation energy reduction. | XINBAI LI FENGHE YANG FANG ZHONG QINGZHONG DENG JURGEN MICHEL ZHIPING ZHOU | 2017 | Photonics Research2017,5,2: | 4 |

| 5 | Trace Nb-doped Na_(0.7)Ni_(0.3)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.6)O_(2) with suppressed voltage decay and enhanced low temperature performance显示文摘The P2-type manganese-based Na_(0.7)MnO_(2) cathode materials attract great interest due to their high theoretical capacity.However,these materials suffer from rapid capacity fading,poor rate performance and severe voltage decay resulting from phase transition and sluggish reaction kinetics.In this work we report a novel Nb-doped Na_(0.7)[Ni_(0.3)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.6)]_(1-x)Nb_(x)O_(2) with significantly suppre ssed voltage decay and enhanced cycling stability.The strong Nb-O bond can efficiently stabilize the TMO fra mework,and the as prepared material demonstrates much lower discharge midpoint voltage decay(0.132 V) than that of pristine one(0.319 V) after 200 cycles.Consequently,a remarkably improved cycling perfo rmance with a capacity retention of 87.9% after 200 cycle at 0.5 C is achieved,showing a 2.4 fold improvement as compared to the control sample Na_(0.7)Ni_(0.3)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.6)O_(2)(~37% rotation).Even at 2 C,a capacity retention of 68.4% is retained after 500 cycles.Remarkably,the as prepared material can be applied at low temperature of-20℃,showing a capacity retention of 81% as compared to that at room temperature. | Ruyun Yue Fang Xia Ruijuan Qi Da Tie Shanshan Shi Zhiping Li Yufeng Zhao Jiujun Zhang | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2: | 2 |

| 13 | Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. | 15 | Variations in High-frequency Oscillations of Tropical Cyclones over the Western North Pacific显示文摘Variations in the high-frequency oscillations of tropical cyclones(TCs) over the western North Pacific(WNP) are studied in numerical model simulations. Power spectrum analysis of maximum wind speeds at 10 m(MWS_(10)) from an ensemble of15 simulated TCs shows that oscillations are significant for all TCs. The magnitudes of oscillations in MWS_(10) are similar in the WNP and South China Sea(SCS); however, the mean of the averaged significant periods in the SCS(1.93 h) is shorter than that in the open water of the WNP(2.83 h). The shorter period in the SCS is examined through an ensemble of simulations,and a case simulation as well as a sensitivity experiment in which the continent is replaced by ocean for Typhoon Hagupit(2008). The analysis of the convergence efficiency within the boundary layer suggests that the shorter periods in the SCS are possibly due to the stronger terrain effect, which intensifies convergence through greater friction.
