| 1 | Fault diagnosis of an intelligent hydraulic pump based on a nonlinear unknown input observer显示文摘Hydraulic piston pumps are commonly used in aircraft. In order to improve the viability of aircraft and energy efficiency, intelligent variable pressure pump systems have been used in aircraft hydraulic systems more and more widely. Efficient fault diagnosis plays an important role in improving the reliability and performance of hydraulic systems. In this paper, a fault diagnosis method of an intelligent hydraulic pump system(IHPS) based on a nonlinear unknown input observer(NUIO) is proposed. Different from factors of a full-order Luenberger-type unknown input observer, nonlinear factors of the IHPS are considered in the NUIO. Firstly, a new type of intelligent pump is presented, the mathematical model of which is established to describe the IHPS. Taking into account the real-time requirements of the IHPS and the special structure of the pump, the mechanism of the intelligent pump and failure modes are analyzed and two typical failure modes are obtained. Furthermore, a NUIO of the IHPS is performed based on the output pressure and swashplate angle signals. With the residual error signals produced by the NUIO, online intelligent pump failure occurring in real-time can be detected. Lastly, through analysis and simulation, it is confirmed that this diagnostic method could accurately diagnose and isolate those typical failure modes of the nonlinear IHPS. | 2 | Genomic insights into the fast growth of paulownias and the formation of Paulownia witches' broom显示文摘Paulownias are among the fastest growing trees in the world,but they often suffer tremendous loss of wood production due to infection by Paulownia witches'broom(PaWB)phytoplasmas.In this study,we have sequenced and assembled a high-quality nuclear genome of Paulownia fortunei,a commonly cultivated paulownia species.The assembled genome of P.fortunei is 511.6 Mb in size,with 93.2%of its sequences anchored to 20 pseudo-chromosomes,and it contains 31985 protein-coding genes.Phylogenomic analyses show that the family Paulowniaceae is sister to a clade composed of Phrymaceae and Orobanchaceae.Higher photosynthetic efficiency is achieved by integrating C3 photosynthesis and the crassulacean acid metabolism pathway,which may contribute to the extremely fast growth habit of paulownia trees.Comparative transcriptome analyses reveal modules related to cambial growth and development,photosynthesis,and defense responses.Additional genome sequencing of PaWB phytoplasma,combined with functional analyses,indicates that the effector PaWB-SAP54 interacts directly with Paulownia PfSPLa,which in turn causes the degradation of PfSPLa by the ubiquitin-mediated pathway and leads to the formation of witches'broom.Taken together,these results provide significant insights into the biology of paulownias and the regulatory mechanism for the formation of PaWB. | Yabing Cao Guiling Sun Xiaoqiao Zhai Pingluo Xu Liming Ma Minjie Deng Zhenli Zhao Haibo Yang Yanpeng Dong Zhonghai Shang Yujie Lv Lijun Yan Haifang Liu Xibing Cao Bingbing Li Zhe Wang Xiaogai Zhao Haiyan Yu Fan Wang Wen Ma Jinling Huang Guoqiang Fan | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,10: | 7 |
| 3 | An adaptive-order particle filter for remaining useful life prediction of aviation piston pumps显示文摘An accurate estimation of the remaining useful life(RUL) not only contributes to an effective application of an aviation piston pump, but also meets the necessity of condition based maintenance(CBM). For the current RUL evaluation methods, a model-based method is inappropriate for the degradation process of an aviation piston pump due to difficulties of modeling, while a data-based method rarely presents high-accuracy prediction in a long period of time. In this work,an adaptive-order particle filter(AOPF) prognostic process is proposed aiming at improving long-term prediction accuracy of RUL by combining both kinds of methods. A dynamic model is initialized by a data-driven or empirical method. When a new observation comes, the prior state distribution is approximated by a current model. The order of the current model is updated adaptively by fusing the information of the observation. Monte Carlo simulation is employed for estimating the posterior probability density function of future states of the pump's degradation.With updating the order number adaptively, the method presents a higher precision in contrast with those of traditional methods. | 4 | Detection of cognitive impairment in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome using mismatch negativity显示文摘In this experiment,97 patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome were divided into three groups(mild,moderate,severe) according to minimum oxygen saturation,and 35 healthy subjects were examined as controls.Cognitive function was determined using the mismatch negativity paradigm and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.The results revealed that as the disease worsened,the mismatch negativity latency was gradually extended,and the amplitude gradually declined in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome.Importantly,mismatch negativity latency in severe patients with a persistent time of minimum oxygen saturation < 60 seconds was significantly shorter than that with a persistent time of minimum oxygen saturation > 60 seconds.Correlation analysis revealed a negative correlation between minimum oxygen saturation latency and Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores.These findings indicate that intermittent night-time hypoxemia affects mismatch negativity waveforms and Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores.As indicators for detecting the cognitive functional status of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome patients,the sensitivity of mismatch negativity is 82.93%,the specificity is 73.33%,the accuracy rate is 81.52%,the positive predictive value is 85.00%,the negative predictive value is 70.21%,the positive likelihood ratio is 3,and the negative likelihood ratio is 0.23.These results indicate that mismatch negativity can be used as an effective tool for diagnosis of cognitive dysfunction in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome patients. | Xiaohui Wen Ningyu Wang Jinfeng Liu Zhanfeng Yan Zhonghai Xin | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,20: | 6 |
| 5 | Dynamics of unstable continental subduction:Insights from numerical modeling显示文摘Numerical experiments are used in this study to systematically investigate the effects of convergence rate,crustal rheological strength,and lithospheric thermal structure on the dynamics of continental collision.The study focuses on the types,conditions and processes of unstable continental subduction.Modelling results suggest that the development of unstable continental subduction can be promoted by conditions that tend to decrease rheological strength of the lithosphere,such as low crustal rheological strength,'hot'thermal structure of the lithosphere,or low convergence rate.Unstable subduction mode can be further categorized into three types:(1)multi-stage slab breakoff,(2)continuously'flowing'of fluid-like slab into the upper mantle,and(3)large-scale detachment of the thickened orogenic root.These three types of unstable continental subduction are respectively associated with(1)a low convergence rate,(2)'hot'thermal structure of the lithosphere with a high convergence rate,and(3)moderate-high crustal rheological strength with a low convergence rate.It is also revealed that the evolution of crustal melting is dominated by the deformation pattern of continental collision,which is mainly controlled by crustal rheological strength.The modelling results have important implications for understanding of continental subduction mode selection under specific geodynamic conditions. | HUANGFU PengPeng WANG YueJun FAN WeiMing LI ZhongHai ZHOU YongZhi | 2017 | Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,2: | 3 |
| 6 | Late Cenozoic Sedimentary Evolution of Pagri-Duoqing Co graben, Southern End of Yadong-Gulu Rift, Southern Tibet显示文摘The north trending rifts in southern Tibet represent the E-W extension of the plateau and confirming the initial rifting age is key to the study of mechanics of these rifts. Pagri-Duoqing Co graben is located at southern end of Yadong-Gulu rift, where the late Cenozoic sediments is predominately composed of fluvio-lacustrine and moraine. Based on the sedimentary composition and structures, the fluviolacustrine could be divided into three facies, namely, lacustrine, lacustrine fan delta and alluvial fan. The presence of paleo-currents and conglomerate components and the provenance of the strata around the graben indicate that it was Tethys Himalaya and High Himalaya. Electron spin resonance(ESR) dating and paleo-magnetic dating suggest that the age of the strata ranges from ca. 1.2 Ma to ca. 8 Ma. Optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) dating showed that moraine in the graben mainly developed from around181-109 ka(late Middle Pleistocene). Combining previous data about the Late Cenozoic strata in other basins, it is suggested that 8-15 Ma may be the initial rifting time. Together with sediment distribution and drainage system, the sedimentary evolution of Pagri could be divided into four stages. The graben rifted at around 15-8 Ma due to the eastern graben-boundary fault resulting in the appearance of a paleolake.Following by a geologically quiet period about 8-2.5 Ma, the paleolake expanded from east to west at around 8-6 Ma reaching its maximum at ca. 6 Ma. Then, the graben was broken at about 2.5 Ma. At last,the development of the glacier separated the graben into two parts that were Pagri and Duoqing Co since the later stages of the Middle Pleistocene. | 7 | Verticillium dahliae Secretory Effector PevD1 Induces Leaf Senescence by Promoting ORE1-Mediated Ethylene Biosynthesis显示文摘Leaf senescence,the final stage of leaf development,is influenced by numerous internal and environmental signals.So far,how biotic stresses such as pathogen infection regulate leaf senescence is unclear.Here,we found that the premature leaf senescence caused by a soil-borne vascular fungus Verticillium dahliae in Arabidopsis was impaired by the mutation of a protein elicitor from V.dahliae 1(PevD1).Constitutive or inducible overexpression of PevD1 accelerated Arabidopsis leaf senescence.A senescence-associated NAC transcription factor,ORE1,was targeted by PevD1.PevD1 interacted with and stabilized ORE1 protein by disrupting its interaction with the RING-type ubiquitin E3 ligase NLA.Mutation of ORE1 suppressed the premature senescence caused by overexpressing PevD1.Overexpression of ORE1 or PevD1 led to enhanced ethylene production,and ORE1 mediated PevD1-induced ethylene biosynthesis by directly binding to the ACS6 promoter.Loss-of-function of ACSs suppressed V.dahliae-induced leaf senescence in ORE1-overexpressing plants.Interestingly,PevD1 also interacted with Gossypium hirsutum ORE1(GhORE1),and virus-induced gene silencing of GhORE1 delayed V.dahliae-triggered leaf senescence in cotton,indicative of the existence of a conserved mechanism in plants.Altogether,our study demonstrates that V.dahliae induces leaf senescence by secreting the effector PevD1 to regulate the ORE1-ACS6 cascade,providing new insight into biotic stress-induced senescence in plants. | Yi Zhang Yuhan Gao Hou-Ling Wang Chengcheng Kan Ze Li Xiufen Yang Weilun Yin Xinli Xia Hong Gil Nam Zhonghai Li Hongwei Guo | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,11: | 2 |

| 10 | Molecularly tagged genes and quantitative trait loci in cucumber with recommendations for QTL nomenclature显示文摘Cucumber,Cucumis sativus L.(2n=2x=14),is an important vegetable crop worldwide.It was the first specialty crop with a publicly available draft genome.Its relatively small,diploid genome,short life cycle,and selfcompatible mating system offers advantages for genetic studies.In recent years,significant progress has been made in molecular mapping,and identification of genes and QTL responsible for key phenotypic traits,but a systematic review of the work is lacking.Here,we conducted an extensive literature review on mutants,genes and QTL that have been molecularly mapped or characterized in cucumber.We documented 81 simply inherited trait genes or major-effect QTL that have been cloned or fine mapped.For each gene,detailed information was compiled including chromosome locations,allelic variants and associated polymorphisms,predicted functions,and diagnostic markers that could be used for marker-assisted selection in cucumber breeding.We also documented 322 QTL for 42 quantitative traits,including 109 for disease resistances against seven pathogens.By alignment of these QTL on the latest version of cucumber draft genomes,consensus QTL across multiple studies were inferred,which provided insights into heritable correlations among different traits.Through collaborative efforts among public and private cucumber researchers,we identified 130 quantitative traits and developed a set of recommendations for QTL nomenclature in cucumber.This is the first attempt to systematically summarize,analyze and inventory cucumber mutants,cloned or mapped genes and QTL,which should be a useful resource for the cucurbit research community. | Yuhui Wang Kailiang Bo Xingfang Gu Junsong Pan Yuhong Li Jinfeng Chen Changlong Wen Zhonghai Ren Huazhong Ren Xuehao Chen Rebecca Grumet Yiqun Weng | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2 |

| 17 | A GaN/InGaN/AlGaN MQW RTD for versatile MVL applications with improved logic stability显示文摘To improve the logic stability of conventional multi-valued logic(MVL) circuits designed with a GaNbased resonate tunneling diode(RTD), we proposed a GaN/InGaN/AlGaN multi-quantum well(MQW) RTD. The proposed RTD was simulated through solving the coupled Schrodinger and Poisson equations in the numerical non-equilibrium Green's function(NEGF) method on the TCAD platform. The proposed RTD was grown layer by layer in epitaxial technologies. Simulated results indicate that its current-voltage characteristic appears to have a wider total negative differential resistance region than those of conventional ones and an obvious hysteresis loop at room temperature. To increase the Al composite of AIGaN barrier layers properly results in increasing of both the total negative differential resistance region width and the hysteresis loop width, which is helpful to improve the logic stability of MVL circuits.
