| 1 | Vertical distribution of aerosol optical properties based on aircraft measurements over the Loess Plateau in China显示文摘Vertical distributions of aerosol optical properties based on aircraft measurements over the Loess Plateau were measured for the first time during a summertime aircraft campaign, 2013 in Shanxi, China. Data from four flights were analyzed. The vertical distributions of aerosol optical properties including aerosol scattering coefficients(σsc), absorption coefficients(σab),Angstr?m exponent(α), single scattering albedo(ω), backscattering ratio(βsc), aerosol mass scattering proficiency(Q sc) and aerosol surface scattering proficiency(Q sc′) were obtained. The mean statistical values of σsc were 77.45 Mm-1(at 450 nm), 50.72 Mm-1(at 550 nm), and32.02 Mm-1(at 700 nm). The mean value of σab was 7.62 Mm-1(at 550 nm). The mean values ofα, βsc and ω were 1.93, 0.15, and 0.91, respectively. Aerosol concentration decreased with altitude. Most effective diameters(ED) of aerosols were less than 0.8 μm. The vertical profiles of σsc,, α, βsc, Q sc and Q sc′ showed that the aerosol scattering properties at lower levels contributed the most to the total aerosol radiative forcing. Both α and βsc had relatively large values, suggesting that most aerosols in the observational region were small particles. The mean values of σsc, α, βsc, Q sc, Q sc′, σab and ω at different height ranges showed that most of the parameters decreased with altitude. | 2 | Two regimes of Atlantic multidecadal oscillation: cross-basin dependent or Atlantic-intrinsic显示文摘The Atlantic Multidedal Oscillation(AMO) is a prominent mode of sea surface temperature variability in the Atlantic and incurs significant global influence. Most coupled models failed to reproduce the observed 50–80-year AMO, but were overwhelmed by a 10–30-year AMO. Here we show that the 50–80-year AMO and 10–30-year AMO represent two different AMO regimes. The key differences are:(1) the 50–80-year AMO involves transport of warm and saline Atlantic water into the Greenland-Iceland-Norwegian(GIN)Seas prior to reaching its maximum positive phase, while such a transport is weak for the 10–30-year AMO;(2) the zonality of atmospheric variability associated with the 50–80 year AMO favors the transport of warm and saline water into the GIN Seas;(3) the disappearance of Pacific variability weakens the zonality of atmospheric variability and the transport of warm and saline water into the GIN Seas, leading to the weakening of the 50–80-year AMO. In contrast, the 10–30-year AMO does not show dependence on the variability in Pacific and in the GIN Seas and may be an Atlantic-intrinsic mode. | 5 | Nanoparticle‑Loaded Polarized‑Macrophages for Enhanced Tumor Targeting and Cell‑Chemotherapy显示文摘Cell therapy is a promising strategy for cancer therapy.However,its therapeutic efficiency remains limited due to the complex and immunosuppressive nature of tumor microenvironments.In this study,the“cell-chemotherapy”strategy was presented to enhance antitumor efficacy.M1-type macrophages,which are therapeutic immune cells with both of immunotherapeutic ability and targeting ability,carried sorafenib(SF)-loaded lipid nanoparticles(M1/SLNPs)were developed.M1-type macrophages were used both as therapeutic tool to provide immunotherapy and as delivery vessel to target deliver SF to tumor tissues for chemotherapy simultaneously.M1-type macrophages were obtained by polarizing macrophages using lipopolysaccharide,and M1/SLNPs were obtained by incubating M1-type macrophages with SLNP.Tumor accumulation of M1/SLNP was increased compared with SLNP(p<0.01),which proved M1/SLNP could enhance tumor targeting of SF.An increased ratio of M1-type macrophages to M2-type macrophages,and the CD3^+CD4^+T cells and CD3^+CD8^+T cell quantities in tumor tissues after treatment with M1/SLNP indicated M1/SLNP could relieve the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironments.The tumor volumes in the M1/SLNP group were significantly smaller than those in the SLNP group(p<0.01),indicating M1/SLNP exhibited enhanced antitumor efficacy.Consequently,M1/SLNP showed great potential as a novel cellchemotherapeutic strategy combining both cell therapy and targeting chemotherapy. | Teng Hou Tianqi Wang Weiwei Mu Rui Yang Shuang Liang Zipeng Zhang Shunli Fu Tong Gao Yongjun Liu Na Zhang | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,1: | 1 |

| 8 | The Brassicaceae-specific secreted peptides,STMPs,function in plant growth and pathogen defense显示文摘Low molecular weight secreted peptides have recently been shown to affect multiple aspects of plant growth,development,and defense responses.Here,we performed stepwise BLAST filtering to identify unannotated peptides from the Arabidopsis thaliana protein database and uncovered a novel secreted peptide family,secreted transmembrane peptides(STMPs).These low molecular weight peptides,which consist of an N-terminal signal peptide and a transmembrane domain,were primarily localized to extracellular compartments but were also detected in the endomembrane system of the secretory pathway,including the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi.Comprehensive bioinformatics analysis identified 10 STMP family members that are specific to the Brassicaceae family.Brassicaceae plants showed dramatically inhibited root growth uponexposure to chemically synthesized STMP1 and STMP2.Arabidopsis overexpressing STMP1,2,4,6,or 10 exhibited severely arrested growth,suggesting that STMPs are involved in regulating plant growth and development.In addition,in vitro bioassays demonstrated that STMP1,STMP2,and STMP10 have antibacterial effects against Pseudomonas syringae pv.tomato DC3000,Ralstonia solanacearum,Bacillus subtilis,and Agrobacterium tumefaciens,demonstrating that STMPs are antimicrobial peptides.These findings suggest that STMP family members play important roles in various developmental events and pathogen defense responses in Brassicaceae plants. | Zipeng Yu Yang Xu Lifei Zhu Lei Zhang Lin Liu Di Zhang Dandan Li Changai Wu Jinguang Huang Guodong Yang Kang Yan Shizhong Zhang Chengchao Zheng | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,4: | 1 |
| 9 | Amphiphilic small molecular mates match hydrophobic drugs to form nanoassemblies based on drug-mate strategy显示文摘Nanomedicine has made great progress in the targeted therapy of cancer. Here, we established a novel drug-mate strategy by studying the formulation of nanodrugs at the molecular level. In the drug-mate combination, the drug is a hydrophobic drug that is poorly soluble in water, and the mate is an amphiphilic small molecule (SMA) that has both hydrophilic and lipophilic properties. We proposed that the hydrophobic drug could co-assemble with a suitable SMA on a nanoscale without additive agents. The proof-ofconcept methodology and results were presented to support our hypothesis. We selected five hydrophobic drugs and more than ten amphiphilic small molecules to construct a library. Through molecular dynamic simulation and quantum chemistry computation,we speculated that the formation of nanoassemblies was related to the binding energy of the drug-mate, and the drug-mate interaction must overcome drug-drug interaction.Furthermore, the obtained SF/VECOONa nanoassemblieswas selected as a model, which had an ultra-high drug loading content (46%), improved pharmacokinetics, increased bioavailability, and enhanced therapeutic efficacy. | 18 | Digestive tract reconstruction in pancreaticoduodenectomy in University Hospitals of China: a national questionnaire survey显示文摘Background Pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD)has been widely applied in general hospitals in China;however,there is still a lack of unified standards for each surgical technique and procedure.This survey is intended to investigate the current status of digestive tract reconstruction after PD in university hospitals in China.Method A cross-sectional survey was conducted among the members of the Young Elite Pancreatic Surgery Club of China by using the Questionnaire for Digestive Tract Reconstruction after Pancreaticoduodenectomy.The questionnaire was disseminated and collected by point-to-point communication via WeChat public platforms.Results A total of 73 valid questionnaires were returned from 65 university hospitals in 28 provincial divisions of China's Mainland.The respondents who performed PD surgery with an annual volume of over 100 cases accounted for 63%.Generally,laparoscopic PD was performed less often than open PD.Child and Whipple reconstructions accounted for 70%and 26%,respectively.The sequence of pancreatoenteric,biliary-enteric,and gastrointestinal reconstruction accounted for 84%of cases.In pancreatoenteric anastomosis,double-layer anastomosis is the most commonly employed type,accounting for approximately 67%,while single-layer anastomosis accounts for 30%.Of the double-layer anastomoses,duct-to-mucosa/dunking(94%/4%)PJ was performed with duct-mucosa using the Blumgart method(39%)and Cattel-Warren(29%),with continuous/interrupted sutures in the inner layer(69%/31%)and continuous/interrupted sutures in the outer layer(53%/23%).In single-layer anastomosis,continuous/interrupted sutures accounted for 41%/45%.In hepatojejunostomy,single-layer/double-layer suture accounted for 79%/4%,and continuous/interrupted suture accounted for 75%/9%.Forty-six percent of the responding units had not applied double-layer biliary-intestinal anastomosis in the last 3 years,75%of the responding surgeons chose the anastomosis method according to bile duct diameter,with absorbable/non-absorbable suture accounting for 86%/12%.PD/pylorus-preserving PD accounted for 79%/11%of GJ cases,the distance between GJ and HJ<30 cm,30-50 cm and>50 cm were 11%,75%,and 14%,respectively.Antecolic/retrocolic GJ accounted for 71%/23%of cases.Twenty-two percent of GJ cases employed Braun anastomosis,while 55%and 19%of GJ cases used linear cutting staplers/tube-type staplers,respectively;60%/14%were reinforced/not reinforced via manual suturing after stapler anastomosis.Manual anastomosis in GJ surgery employed absorbable/non-absorbable sutures(91%/9%).Significant differences in reconstruction techniques were detected between different volumes of PD procedures(<100/year and>100/year),regions with different economic development levels,and between north and south China.Conclusion Digestive tract reconstruction following PD exists heterogeneity in Chinese university hospitals.Corresponding prospective clinical studies are needed to determine the consensus on pancreatic surgery that meets the clinical reality in China. | Jishu Wei Qiang Xu Yuhua Zhang Jiabin Jin Xiaodong Tian Qiaofei Liu Zipeng Lu Zheng Wang Shanmiao Gou Song Gao Xianlin Han Yefei Rong Niandong Ji Ye Lin Guolin Li Shi Chen Feng Cao Hua Chen Wenming Wu Yupei Zhao the Young Elite Pancreatic Surgery Club of China | 2022 | Journal of Pancreatology2022,5,3: | 0 |
| 19 | Energy Optimization in Multi-UAV-Assisted Edge Data Collection System显示文摘In the IoT(Internet of Things)system,the introduction of UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)as a new data collection platform can solve the problem that IoT devices are unable to transmit data over long distances due to the limitation of their battery energy.However,the unreasonable distribution of UAVs will still lead to the problem of the high total energy consumption of the system.In this work,to deal with the problem,a deployment model of a mobile edge computing(MEC)system based on multi-UAV is proposed.The goal of the model is to minimize the energy consumption of the system in the process of data transmission by optimizing the deployment of UAVs.The DEVIPSK(differential evolution algorithm with variable population size based on a mutation strategy pool initialized by K-Means)is proposed to solve the model.In DEVIPSK,the population is initialized by K-Means to obtain better initial positions of UAVs.Besides,considering the limitation of the fixed mutation strategy in the traditional evolutionary algorithm,a mutation strategy pool is used to update the positions of UAVs.The experimental results show the superiority of the DEVIPSK and provide guidance for the deployment of UAVs in the field of edge data collection in the IoT system. | Bin Xu Lu Zhang Zipeng Xu Yichuan Liu Jinming Chai Sichong Qin Yanfei Sun | 2021 | Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,11: | 0 |
| 20 | A feedback regulation between ARF7-mediated auxin signaling and auxin homeostasis involving MES17 affects plant gravitropism显示文摘Gravitropism is an essential adaptive response of land plants.Asymmetric auxin gradients across plant organs,interpreted by multiple auxin signaling components including AUXIN RESPONSE FACTOR7(ARF7),trigger differential growth and bending response.However,how this fundamental process is strictly maintained in nature remains unclear.Here,we report that gravity stimulates the transcription of METHYL ESTERASE17(MES17)along the lower side of the hypocotyl via ARF7-dependent auxin signaling.The asymmetric distribution of MES17,a methyltransferase that converts auxin from its inactive form methyl indole-3-acetic acid ester(MeI AA)to its biologically active form free-IAA,enhanced the gradient of active auxin across the hypocotyl,which in turn reversely amplified the asymmetric auxin responses and differential growth that shape gravitropic bending.Taken together,our findings reveal the novel role of MES17-mediated auxin homeostasis in gravitropic responses and identify an ARF7-triggered feedback mechanism that reinforces the asymmetric distribution of active auxin and strictly controls gravitropism in plants. | Feng Zhang Cuiling Li Xingzhen Qu Jiajia Liu Zipeng Yu Junxia Wang Jiayong Zhu Yongqiang Yu Zhaojun Ding | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,7: | 0 |
