3Time correction of the ocean bottom seismometers deployed at the southwest Indian ridge using ambient noise cross-correlation显示文摘Seismic monitoring using ocean bottom seismometers(OBS) is an efficient method for investigating earthquakes in mid-ocean ridge far away from land. Clock synchronization among the OBSs is difficult without direct communication because electromagnetic signals cannot propagate efficiently in water. Time correction can be estimated through global positioning system(GPS) synchronization if clock drift is linear before and after the deployment. However, some OBSs in the experiments at the southwest Indian ridge(SWIR) on the Chinese DY125-34 cruise had not been re-synchronized from GPS after recovery. So we attempted to estimate clock drift between each station pairs using time symmetry analysis(TSA) based on ambient noise cross-correlation. We tested the feasibility of the TSA method by analyzing daily noise cross-correlation functions(NCFs) that extract from the data of another OBS experiment on the Chinese DY125-40 cruise with known clock drift and the same deployment site. The results suggest that the NCFs' travel time of surface wave between any two stations are symmetrical and have an opposite growing direction with the date. The influence of different band-pass filters,different components and different normalized methods was discussed. The TSA method appeared to be optimal for the hydrophone data within the period band of 2–5 s in dozens of km-scale interstation distances. A significant clock drift of ~2 s was estimated between OBSs sets through linear regression during a 108-d deployment on the Chinese cruise DY125-34. 4Balance Control of a Biped Robot on a Rotating Platform Based on Efficient Reinforcement Learning显示文摘In this work,we combined the model based reinforcement learning(MBRL)and model free reinforcement learning(MFRL)to stabilize a biped robot(NAO robot)on a rotating platform,where the angular velocity of the platform is unknown for the proposed learning algorithm and treated as the external disturbance.Nonparametric Gaussian processes normally require a large number of training data points to deal with the discontinuity of the estimated model.Although some improved method such as probabilistic inference for learning control(PILCO)does not require an explicit global model as the actions are obtained by directly searching the policy space,the overfitting and lack of model complexity may still result in a large deviation between the prediction and the real system.Besides,none of these approaches consider the data error and measurement noise during the training process and test process,respectively.We propose a hierarchical Gaussian processes(GP)models,containing two layers of independent GPs,where the physically continuous probability transition model of the robot is obtained.Due to the physically continuous estimation,the algorithm overcomes the overfitting problem with a guaranteed model complexity,and the number of training data is also reduced.The policy for any given initial state is generated automatically by minimizing the expected cost according to the predefined cost function and the obtained probability distribution of the state.Furthermore,a novel Q(λ)based MFRL method scheme is employed to improve the policy.Simulation results show that the proposed RL algorithm is able to balance NAO robot on a rotating platform,and it is capable of adapting to the platform with varying angular velocity.Ao Xi Thushal Wijekoon Mudiyanselage Dacheng Tao Chao Chen 2019IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2019,6,4:5
5Tourism sectorization opportunity spectrum model and space partition of tourism urbanization area:a case of the Mayangxi ecotourism area,Fujian province,China显示文摘Nowadays, tourism has become an increasingly significant driving force of modern urbanization in China. However, it has caused varieties of problems, such as resource unreasonable utilization, society unfair play, and environment pollution, etc. Thus, the establishment of an efficient and sustainable space partition model for tourism urbanization, from the geographical perspective, is highly necessary and urgent. Herein, a new evaluation model of tourist town space, referred to as Tourism Sectorization Opportunity Spectrum(TSOS), is established on the relationships between productionliving-ecology spaces. TSOS is a kind of quantitative evaluation model involving such factors as urban living area, ecological conservation area and the tourism industry. Furthermore, the analysis of quantitative production-living-ecology spatial overlap has been utilized for space division in a tourism urbanization area. This paper, using both the TSOS model and GIS technology, analyzes the spatial restructure of the Mayangxi ecotourism area. Theresult demonstrates that tourism industrial space takes the Shanchong Village as a core which shows a pattern of local regional agglomeration and a fuzzy edge extending along the entire Mayangxi River. The urban living area should be consolidated in the Shili village with the supporting facilities and living space for tourism. In addition, Tianzhu Mountain forest park should be the key environmental protection area. The case study on the Mayangxi ecotourism area verifies that the TSOS model has strong operability. 6Energy-efficient recovery of tetrahydrofuran and ethyl acetate by triple-column extractive distillation:entrainer design and process optimization显示文摘An energy-efficient triple-column extractive distillation process is developed for recovering tetrahydrofuran and ethyl acetate from industrial effluent.The process development follows a rigorous hierarchical design procedure that involves entrainer design,thermodynamic analysis,process design and optimization,and heat integration.The computer-aided molecular design method is firstly used to find promising entrainer candidates and the best one is determined via rigorous thermodynamic analysis.Subsequently,the direct and indirect triple-column extractive distillation processes are proposed in the conceptual design step.These two extractive distillation processes are then optimized by employing an improved genetic algorithm.Finally,heat integration is performed to further reduce the process energy consumption.The results indicate that the indirect extractive distillation process with heat integration shows the highest performance in terms of the process economics.Ao Yang Yang Su Tao Shi Jingzheng Ren Weifeng Shen Teng Zhou 2022Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,2:3
7A specific aggregation-induced emission-conjugated polymer enables visual monitoring of osteogenic differentiation显示文摘Osteogenic differentiation is the basis of bone growth and repair related to many diseases,in which evaluating the degree and ability of osteogenic transformation is quite important and highly desirable.However,fixing or stopping the growth of cells is required for conventional methods to monitor osteogenic differentiation,which cannot realize the full investigation of the dynamic process.Herein,a new anion conjugated polymer featuring aggregation-induced emission(AIE)characteristics is developed with excellent solubility for in-situ monitoring the process of osteogenic differentiation.This novel polymer can bind with osteogenic differentiated cells,and the intracellular fluorescence increases gradually with the enhancement of osteogenic differentiation.Moreover,it possesses good biosafety with negligible effect on cell activity and osteogenic differentiation,which cannot be realized by the typical method of Alizarin Red S staining.Further study shows that the polymer crosses the cell membrane through endocytosis and enriches in lysosomes,whereas no obvious fluorescence is detected with other cells,including non-differentiated osteoblast cells,under the same conditions,demonstrating the high selectivity.This is the first fluorescent probe with excellent specificity to realize real-time observation of the process of osteogenic differentiation.Therefore,PTB-EDTA shows great promise in the study of osteogenic differentiation and related applications.Zhenyu Zheng Taotao Zhou Rong Hu Minjun Huang Xiang Ao Jun Chu Tao Jiang Anjun Qin Zhongmin Zhang 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:3
8Genome-wide analysis of the B3 transcription factors reveals that RcABI3/VP1 subfamily plays important roles in seed development and oil storage in castor bean(Ricinus communis)显示文摘The B3 transcription factors(TFs)in plants play vital roles in numerous biological processes.Although B3 genes have been broadly identified in many plants,little is known about their potential functions in mediating seed development and material accumulation.Castor bean(Ricinus communis)is a non-edible oilseed crop considered an ideal model system for seed biology research.Here,we identified a total of 61 B3 genes in the castor bean genome,which can be classified into five subfamilies,including ABI3/VP1,HSI,ARF,RAV and REM.The expression profiles revealed that RcABI3/VP1 subfamily genes are significantly up-regulated in the middle and later stages of seed development,indicating that these genes may be associated with the accumulation of storage oils.Furthermore,through yeast one-hybrid and tobacco transient expression assays,we detected that ABI3/VP1 subfamily member RcLEC2 directly regulates the transcription of RcOleosin2,which encodes an oil-body structural protein.This finding suggests that RcLEC2,as a seed-specific TF,may be involved in the regulation of storage materials accumulation.This study provides novel insights into the potential roles and molecular basis of B3 family proteins in seed development and material accumulation.Wen-Bo Wang Tao Ao Yan-Yu Zhang Di Wu Wei Xu Bing Han Ai-Zhong Liu 2022Plant Diversity2022,44,2:2
9A hydrothermal investigation system for the Qianlong-Ⅱ autonomous underwater vehicle显示文摘Qianlong-Ⅱ is a fully autonomous underwater vehicle designed for the investigation of submarine resources,particularly polymetallic sulfides. It was used to successfully explore hydrothermal fields on the Southwest Indian Ridge. Here, we summarized the exploration of hydrothermal systems using Qianlong-Ⅱ, including detailed descriptions of its implementation along with the systems used for data management and fast mapping. We also introduced a method to remove platform magnetic interference using magnetic data while Qianlong-Ⅱ is spinning. Based on hydrothermal anomalies collected by Qianlong-Ⅱ, we developed a rapid method for locating hydrothermal vents. 12Photocatalytic properties of P25-doped TiO_2 composite film synthesized via sol–gel method on cement substrate显示文摘TiO_2 films have received increasing attention for the removal of organic pollutants via photocatalysis. To develop a simple and effective method for improving the photodegradation efficiency of pollutants in surface water, we herein examined the preparation of a P25-TiO_2 composite film on a cement substrate via a sol–gel method. In this case, Rhodamine B(Rh B)was employed as the target organic pollutant. The self-generated TiO_2 film and the P25-TiO_2 composite film were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), N_2 adsorption/desorption measurements, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS). The photodegradation efficiencies of the two films were studied by Rh B removal in water under UV(ultraviolet) irradiation. Over 4 day exposure, the P25-TiO_2 composite film exhibited higher photocatalytic performance than the self-generated TiO_2 film. The photodegradation rate indicated that the efficiency of the P25-TiO_2 composite film was enhanced by the addition of the rutile phase Degussa P25 powder. As such, cooperation between the anatase TiO_2 and rutile P25 nanoparticles was beneficial for separation of the photo-induced electrons and holes. In addition, the influence of P25 doping on the P25-TiO_2 composite films was evaluated. We found that up to a certain saturation point, increased doping enhanced the photodegradation ability of the composite film. 14Zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopic characteristics of the Dehe biotite monzonitic gneiss pluton in the North Qinling orogen and their geological significance显示文摘The Dehe granitic pluton intruded the Xiahe Group which is in the core complex of the North Qinling Orogenic Belt(NQOB).It shows gneissic bedding and possesses typical S-type granite minerals such as muscovite and garnet.LA-ICP-MS U-Pb isotopic dating of the Dehe granite yielded a weighted average age of 925±23 Ma which represents the emplacement age of the pluton.Most of the εHf(t) values are negative,and the two-stage model ages are consistent with the age of the Qinling Group.The isotope data show that the Dehe granite was formed in the following geological setting:in the syn-collision setting of the NQOB in the Neoproterozoic,crustal thickening induced partial melting of materials derived from the Qinling complex,and then the maga upwelled and intruded into the Xiahe Group.The formation of the Dehe S-type granite implied the occurrence of a convergent event in the QOB during the Neoproterozoic.Wang, Fei Zhu, Laimin Li, Jiming Lee, Ben Gong, Hujun Yang, Tao Wang, Wei Xu, Ao 2011Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2011,30,2:1
15Synthesis and electrochemical properties of LiNi_(0.8)Al_(0.2-x)Ti_xO_2 cathode materials by an ultrasonic-assisted co-precipitation method显示文摘A new co-precipitation route was proposed to synthesize LiNi0.8Al0.2-xTixO2 (x=0.0-0.20) cathode materials for lithium ion batteries, with Ni(NO3)2, Al(NO3)3, LiOH.H2O, and TiO2 as the starting materials. Ultrasonic vibration was used during preparing the precursors, and the precursors were protected by absolute ethanol before calcination in the air. The influences of doped-Ti content, calcination temperature and time, additional Li content, and ultrasonic vibration on the structure and properties of LiNi0.8Al0.2-xTixO2 were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and charge-discharge tests, respectively. The results show that the optimal molar fraction of Ti, calcination temperature and time, and additional molar fraction of Li for LiNi0.8Al0.2-xTixO2 cathode materials are 0.1, 700°C, 20 h, and 0.05, respectively. 16Association of Comorbid Asthma and the Efficacy of Bioabsorbable Steroid-eluting Sinus Stents Implanted After Endoscopic Sinus Surgery in Patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps显示文摘Objective To identify factors affecting the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents implanted after endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS)in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP).Methods We performed a post-hoc analysis of a randomized self-controlled clinical trial on post-operative implantation of bioabsorbable steroid-eluting stents in patients with CRSwNP.Univariate logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify which of the following factors affect the response to post-operative stent implantation:sex,serum eosinophil levels,history of prior surgery,endoscopic scores,and comorbid conditions(asthma and allergic rhinitis).The primary outcome was the rate of post-operative intervention on day 30,and the secondary outcome was the rate of polypoid tissue formation(grades 2–3)on days 14,30,and 90.Results A total of 151 patients with CRSwNP were included in the post-hoc analysis.Asthma was identified as the only risk factor for a poor response to steroid-eluting sinus stents on post-operative day 30,with an odds ratio of 23.71(95%CI,2.81,200.16;P=0.004)for the need for post-operative intervention and 19(95%CI,2.20,164.16;P=0.003)for moderate-to-severe polypoid tissue formation.In addition,the asthmatic group showed higher rates of post-operative intervention and polypoid tissue formation than the non-asthmatic group on post-operative day 30.Blood eosinophil levels were not identified as a risk factor for poor outcomes after stent implantation.Conclusion Comorbid asthma,but not blood eosinophil level,impairs the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents in the short term after ESS in patients with CRSwNP.Ao HUANG Tao LI Min-shan LI Zhen-xiao HUANG De-hui WANG Lei CHENG Bing ZHOU Heng WANG Zheng LIU 2023Current Medical Science2023,43,5:1

20DOA estimation of incoherently distributed sources using importance sampling maximum likelihood显示文摘In this paper, an importance sampling maximum likelihood(ISML) estimator for direction-of-arrival(DOA) of incoherently distributed(ID) sources is proposed. Starting from the maximum likelihood estimation description of the uniform linear array(ULA), a decoupled concentrated likelihood function(CLF) is presented. A new objective function based on CLF which can obtain a closed-form solution of global maximum is constructed according to Pincus theorem. To obtain the optimal value of the objective function which is a complex high-dimensional integral,we propose an importance sampling approach based on Monte Carlo random calculation. Next, an importance function is derived, which can simplify the problem of generating random vector from a high-dimensional probability density function(PDF) to generate random variable from a one-dimensional PDF. Compared with the existing maximum likelihood(ML) algorithms for DOA estimation of ID sources, the proposed algorithm does not require initial estimates, and its performance is closer to CramerRao lower bound(CRLB).
