1Analysis of Oblique Wave Interaction with a Comb-Type Caisson Breakwater显示文摘This study develops an analytical solution for oblique wave interaction with a comb-type caisson breakwater based on linear potential theory. The fluid domain is divided into inner and outer regions according to the geometrical shape of breakwater. By using periodic boundary condition and separation of variables, series solutions of velocity potentials in inner and outer regions are developed. Unknown expansion coefficients in series solutions are determined by matching velocity and pressure of continuous conditions on the interface between two regions. Then, hydrodynamic quantities involving reflection coefficients and wave forces acting on breakwater are estimated. Analytical solution is validated by a multi-domain boundary element method solution for the present problem. Diffusion reflection due to periodic variations in breakwater shape and corresponding surface elevations around the breakwater are analyzed. Numerical examples are also presented to examine effects of caisson parameters on total wave forces acting on caissons and total wave forces acting on side plates. Compared with a traditional vertical wall breakwater, the wave force acting on a suitably designed comb-type caisson breakwater can be significantly reduced. 2Baseline distribution optimization and missing data completion in wavelet-based CS-Tomo SAR显示文摘In this paper, we propose a coherence of measurement matrix-based baseline distribution optimization criterion, together with an L1 regularization missing data completion method for unobserved baselines(not belonging to the actual baseline distribution), to facilitate wavelet-based compressive sensingtomographic synthetic aperture radar imaging(CS-Tomo SAR) in forested areas. Using M actual baselines,we first estimate the optimal baseline distribution with N baselines(N > M), including N-M unobserved baselines, via the proposed coherence criterion. We then use the geometric relationship between the actual and unobserved baseline distributions to reconstruct the transformation matrix by solving an L1 regularization problem, and calculate the unobserved baseline data using the measurements of actual baselines and the estimated transformation matrix. Finally, we exploit the wavelet-based CS technique to reconstruct the elevation via the completed data of N baselines. Compared to results obtained using only the data of actual baselines, the recovered image based on the dataset obtained by our proposed method shows higher elevation recovery accuracy and better super-resolution ability. 6The Mechanism of Groundwater Salinization and Its Control in the Yaoba Oasis,Inner Mongolia显示文摘The arid area is one of the most concerned areas among the water resources researchers and economists. Northwest China will be an important developing region of China in the 21st century. Yaoba is a well-irrigation oasis within this arid area, which is located in the Alxa area west of the Helan Mountains and next to the Tengger desert in the east. It has contributed greatly to the local stock raising and agriculture since its development in 1970. 7Deformation behavior of Fe-based bulk metallic glass during nanoindentation显示文摘Fe-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) normally exhibit super high strength but significant brittleness at ambient temperature. Therefore,it is difficult to investigate the plastic deformation behavior and mechanism in these alloys through conven-tional tensile and compressive tests due to lack of distinct macroscopic plastic strain. In this work,the deformation behavior of Fe52Cr15Mo9Er3C15B6 BMG was in-vestigated through instrumented nanoindentation and uniaxial compressive tests. The results show that serrated flow,the typical plastic deformation feature of BMGs,could not be found in as-cast and partially crystallized samples during nanoinden-tation. In addition,the deformation behavior and mechanical properties of the alloy are insensitive to the applied loading rate. 9Polyetherimide functionalized carbon dots with enhanced red emission in aqueous solution for bioimaging显示文摘Red emissive carbon dots(CDs)are highly desired for biological applications.However,serious luminescence quenching of red emissive CDs in aqueous solution greatly hinders their application in high performance biological imaging.Herein,we reported a facile strategy to realize enhanced red emission of CDs in aqueous solution by surface modification with polyetherimide(PEI)via microwave heating method.High photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 25%was realized from the PEI functionalized CDs(CDs@PEI)in aqueous solution.The proposed PEI functionalization strategy not only protects the red emission against water molecules quenching,but also reverses the surface charges from negativity to positivity to promote cellular uptake of CDs,leading to clear cell imaging in red fluorescence region.More important,CDs@PEI exhibits much better photostability than commercial red emissive dye(MitoT racker red)in cell fluorescent imaging.Potential application of CDs@PEI on fast staining of cells for clonogenic assay has also been demonstrated.Liming Wang Bingzhe Wang Enshan Liu Yunyang Zhao Bingchen He Chunfei Wang Guichuan Xing Zikang Tang Yinning Zhou Songnan Qu 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8:0
10Hybrid Mapping Method:from Human to Robotic Hands with Dissimilar Kinematics显示文摘Mapping grasps from human to anthropomorphic robotic hands is an open issue in research,because the master hand and the slave hand have dissimilar kinematics.This paper proposes a hybrid mapping method to solve this problem.In the proposed method,fingers in the master and the slave hands are divided into vital and synergic fingers according to their contribution to the grasping task.The tip of the vital finger of the master hand is first mapped to that of the slave hand while ensuring that both are in simultaneous contact with the object to be grasped.Following postural synergy theory,joints of the other synergic fingers of the slave hand are then used to generate an anthropomorphic grasping configuration according to the shape of the object to be grasped.Following this,a human-guided impedance controller is used to reduce the pre-grasping error and realize compliant interaction with the environment.The proposed hybrid mapping method can not only generate the posture of the humanoid envelope but can also carry out impedance-adaptive matching.It was evaluated using simulations and an experiment involving an anthropomorphic robotic slave hand.Bingchen Liu Li Jiang Shaowei Fan 2022Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,4:0
11Stabilizing SEI by cyclic ethers toward enhanced K^(+) storage in graphite显示文摘The poor cycling stability of graphite in traditional ester electrolyte limits its applications as anodes for potassium ion batteries(KIBs).Herein,we demonstrate that the introduction of cyclic ether co-solvents into ester electrolytes can remarkably enhance the cycling stability of graphite anodes.The graphite anode in ester electrolyte with cyclic ether could achieve a reversible capacity of 196.1 m Ah g^(-1) after 100 cycles at 0.3 C(1 C=280 m A g^(-1)),about three times higher than those in ester electrolytes with or without linear ether.Compared with the SEI formed in ester electrolytes,the addition of tetrahydrofuran promotes the generation of K_(2)CO_(3) and ethylene oxide oligomers(PEO),of which the K_(2)CO_(3) is expected to be more conductive and PEO is mechanically robust.The more uniform,conductive and stable solid electrolyte interphases(SEIs)on graphite in electrolytes with cyclic ethers contribute to the enhancement of the electrochemical performances of graphite.This work provides a novel design of commercialized electrolytes to achieve high-performance anodes for KIBs,which potentially accelerates the development of KIBs.Jiesong Zhang Jian-Fang Wu Zixing Wang Ying Mo Wang Zhou Yufan Peng Bingchen He Kuikui Xiao Shi Chen Chaohe Xu Jilei Liu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8:0
12Intrinsic excitonic emission and valley Zeeman splitting in epitaxial MS2(M=Mo and W)monolayers on hexagonal boron nitride显示文摘Two-dimensional (2D)semiconductors,represented by 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs),exhibit rich valley physics due to strong spin-orbit/ spin-valley coupling.The most common way to probe such 2D systems is to utilize optical methods,which can monitor light emissions from various excitonic states and further help in understanding the physics behind such phenomena. Therefore,2D TMDs with good optical quality are in great demand.Here,we report a method to directly grow epitaxial WS2 and MoS2 monolayers on hexagonal boron nitride (hBN)flakeswith a high yield and high optical quality;these monolayers show better intrinsic light emission features than exfoliated monolayers from natural crystals.For the first time,the valley Zeeman splitting of WS2 and MoS2 monolayers on hBN has been visualized and systematically investigated.
