| 2 | Multi-functional bismuth-doped bioglasses: combining bioactivity and photothermal response for bone tumor treatment and tissue repair显示文摘Treatment of large bone defects derived from bone tumor surgery is typically performed in multiple separate operations,such as hyperthermia to extinguish residual malignant cells or implanting bioactive materials to initiate apatite remineralization for tissue repair;it is very challenging to combine these functions into a material.Herein,we report the first photothermal(PT)effect in bismuth(Bi)-doped glasses.On the basis of this discovery,we have developed a new type of Bi-doped bioactive glass that integrates both functions,thus reducing the number of treatment cycles.We demonstrate that Bi-doped bioglasses(BGs)provide high PT efficiency,potentially facilitating photoinduced hyperthermia and bioactivity to allow bone tissue remineralization.The PT effect of Bi-doped BGs can be effectively controlled by managing radiative and non-radiative processes of the active Bi species by quenching photoluminescence(PL)or depolymerizing glass networks.In vitro studies demonstrate that such glasses are biocompatible to tumor and normal cells and that they can promote osteogenic cell proliferation,differentiation,and mineralization.Upon illumination with near-infrared(NIR)light,the bioglass(BG)can efficiently kill bone tumor cells,as demonstrated via in vitro and in vivo experiments.This indicates excellent potential for the integration of multiple functions within the new materials,which will aid in the development and application of novel biomaterials. | Liping Wang Nicholas J.Long Lihua Li Yao Lu Mei Li Jiangkun Cao Yu Zhang Qinyuan Zhang Shanhui Xu Zhongmin Yang Chuanbin Mao Mingying Peng | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 6 |

| 5 | Chemical and boron isotopic compositions of tourmaline in the Longtoushan hydrothermal gold deposit, Guangxi, China:implications for gold mineralization显示文摘The Longtoushan hydrothermal gold deposit is located in the southwestern region of the Dayaoshan Uplift.Tourmaline is widespread in the Longtoushan gold deposit and is mainly distributed in the rhyolite porphyry and associated cryptoexplosive breccia. The spatial distribution of tourmaline enrichment is similar to that of the gold orebody. Feldspar has been largely replaced by tourmaline in the rhyolite porphyry and cryptoexplosive breccia.Electron microprobe analysis revealed that tourmalines in the Longtoushan deposit belong mainly to the alkali group and partly to the X-vacant group; they mostly fell in the schorl-dravite series field. Two distinct sets of dominant substitutions were observed: MgFe_(-1) and Al□(NaR2+)-1,where R = Fe, Mg. In addition, minor substitutions include(CaMg)(NaAl)_(-1) and FeAl_(-1). The calculated d11 B value for the mineralizing fluids ranged from-12.8 to-9.7%,which is typical of S-type granites, and boron-enriched fluids predominantly derived from rhyolitic melt. Part of the tourmaline from the rhyolite porphyry crystallized during the magmatic-hydrothermal stage, whereas most tourmalines from the deposit formed in the post-magmatic hydrothermal stage. | 7 | Coastal Erosion Along the West Coast of the Taiwan Strait and It’s Influencing Factors显示文摘Based on the field surveys and repeated cross-profile observations combined with the comparison of many years’ topog-raphic maps,this study shows the spatial variability and varying patterns of coastal erosion along the west coast of the Taiwan Strait.Regional differentiation in the Meso-Cenozoic coastal tectonics determined the irregular coastline and geological background for large-scale coastal erosion distribution.The intensity of coastal erosion on the west side of the Taiwan Strait is mild in the northern region,severe in the central region and modest in the southern region.The beaches along the coast are mainly backed by dunes,sea-walls or cliffs.The dunes and beaches show periodic erosion and recovery along the coast adjacent to river mouths,while persistent retreat of frontal dunes and beaches tends to occur in other areas.The beach erosion occurs mainly in front of seawalls.Due to the low strength of the unconsolidated sediment the soft cliffs suffer the severest coastline recession.Sea level rise and river sediment discharge reduction are main causes of coastal erosion.Storm surge is common in the studied area and plays an important role in the progress of coastal erosion.Human activities including coastal constructions and sand mining also tend to interfere strongly with the balance of sediment budget in some coastal cells. | LIU Jianhui CAI Feng QI Hongshuai LEI Gang CAO Lihua | 2011 | Journal of Ocean University of China2011,10,1: | 4 |
| 8 | Geochronology and Geochemistry of the Granites from the Longtoushan Hydrothermal Gold Deposit in the Dayaoshan Area,Guangxi:Implication for Petrogenesis and Mineralization显示文摘The gold mineralization in the Longtoushan hydrothermal gold deposit is concentrated within the contact zone of the granitic complex. Whole rock geochemistry and in-situ U-Pb and Hf isotopic data were used to constrain the genesis and age of the granites and related Cu-Au mineralization in the Longtoushan Deposit. The granites mainly consist of the granite porphyry, rhyolite porphyry, porphyritic granite and quartz porphyry. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating of zircons from the granite porphyry, rhyolite porphyry and quartz porphyry indicates that they intruded from ca. 94 to 97 Ma. These intrusions exhibit similar trace element characteristics, i.e., right-dipping REE patterns, depletion of Ba, Sr, P and Ti, and enrichment of Th, U, Nd, Zr and Hf. The εHf(t) values of zircons from the granite porphyry, rhyolite porphyry and quartz porphyry range from-26.81 to-8.19,-8.12 to-5.33, and-8.99 to-5.83, respectively, suggesting that they were mainly derived from the partial melting of the Proterozoic crust. The Cu-Au mineralization is mainly related to the rhyolite porphyry and porphyritic granite, respectively. | 9 | Calculation of Maximum Allowable Free Span Length and Safety Assessment of the DF1-1 Submarine Pipeline显示文摘The DF1-1 submarine pipeline was investigated using a dual-frequency side-scan sonar and a swath sounder system.More than a hundred scour pits under the pipeline were found,most of which have caused the span of the pipeline to increase and threatened its safety.The maximum allowable free span length (MAFSL) of the pipeline was determined through the limitations regarding maximum allowable stress under static or quasi-static loads and the onset of Vortex Induced Vibrations (VIV) under different hydrodynamic actions.The results show that the MAFSL under static conditions is 56 m.However,the MAFSLs are 30 m and 20 m under ordinary weather conditions and hurricane-induced currents for the 100-year return period,respectively,to avoid VIV as calculated by using the highest safety class factor.It is suggested that spanning pipelines longer than 20 m should be supported.Additionally,eight successive spans which may also threaten the pipeline were proposed.The most hazardous scour pits are along the pipeline section from KP42 to KP51. | XU Jishang LI Guangxue Juan J. | 10 | Conjugate adjoining problem in braid groups and new design of braid-based signatures显示文摘The development of quantum computation casts serious threats to the securities of most existing public-key cryptosystems. Braid-based cryptography is one of the alternatives that have potential advantages in resisting quantum attacks. In this paper, the state of the art of braid cryptography is surveyed, and then a new cryptographic problem-conjugate adjoining problem related to braid groups is proposed. Based on this problem, we design a new braid-based signature scheme. This scheme is efficient and provably secure in the random oracle model. Further, we present the comparison between braid-based signatures and RSA-based ones. The signing process of the braid-based schemes is more efficient than that of RSA-based ones, while the verifying process of the braid-based ones is observably slow. Hence, braid-based signatures are suitable for scenarios where the signing process has to be as quick as possible but delays are permitted in the verifying process, for example, in off-line e-cash systems. The key sizes in braid-based schemes are considerably large-about 2K bits in the case of secret keys and 12K bits in the case of public keys. However, braid operations are much simpler and more efficient than modular exponential operations. Therefore, braid-based schemes can be embedded into devices with low computational ability and large memory space. | 11 | Optimum Tilt Angle of Flow Guide in Steam Turbine Exhaust Hood Considering the Effect of Last Stage Flow Field显示文摘Heat transfer and vacuum in condenser are influenced by the aerodynamic performance of steam turbine exhaust hood. The current research on exhaust hood is mainly focused on analyzing flow loss and optimal design of its structure without consideration of the wet steam condensing flow and the exhaust hood coupled with the front and rear parts. To better understand the aerodynamic performance influenced by the tilt angle of flow guide inside a diffuser, taking a 600 MW steam turbine as an example, a numerical simulator CFX is adopted to solve compressible three-dimensional(3D) Reynolds time-averaged N-S equations and standard k-e turbulence model.And the exhaust hood flow field influenced by different tilt angles of flow guide is investigated with consideration of the wet steam condensing flow and the exhaust hood coupled with the last stage blades and the condenser throat.The result shows that the total pressure loss coefficient and the static pressure recovery coefficient of exhaust hood change regularly and monotonously with the gradual increase of tilt angle of flow guide. When the tilt angle of flow guide is within the range of 30° to 40°, the static pressure recovery coefficient is in the range of 15.27% to 17.03% and the total pressure loss coefficient drops to approximately 51%, the aerodynamic performance of exhaust hood is significantly improved. And the effectiveenthalpy drop in steam turbine increases by 0.228% to 0.274%. | 13 | Graphene-wrapped multiloculated nickel ferrite:A highly efficient electromagnetic attenuation material for microwave absorbing and green shielding显示文摘Dedicating to the exploration of efficient electromagnetic(EM)absorption and electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials is the main strategy to solve the EM radiation issues.The development of multifunction EM attenuation materials that are compatible together EM absorption and EMI shielding properties is deserved our exploration and study.Here,the graphenewrapped multiloculated NiFe_(2)O_(4) composites are reported as multifunction EM absorbing and EMI shielding materials.The conductive networks configurated by the overlapping flexible graphene promote the riched polarization genes,as well as electron transmission paths,and thus optimize the dielectric constant of the composites.Meanwhile,the introduction of magnetic NiFe_(2)O_(4) further establishes the magnetic-dielectric synergy effect.The abundant non-homogeneous interfaces not only generate effective interfacial polarization,also the deliberate multiloculated structure of NiFe_(2)O_(4) strengthens multi-scattering and multi-reflection sites to expand the transmission path of EM waves.As it turns out,the best impedance matching is matched at a lower filled concentration to achieve the strongest reflection loss value of−48.1 dB.Simultaneously,green EMI shielding based on a predominantly EM absorption and dissipation is achieved by an enlargement of the filled concentration,which is helpful to reduce the secondary EM wave reflection pollution to the environment.In addition,the electrocatalytic properties are further examined.The graphene-wrapped multiloculated NiFe_(2)O_(4) shows the well electrocatalytic activity as electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),which is mainly attributed to the interconnected structures formed by graphene and NiFe_(2)O_(4) connection.The structural advantages of multiloculated NiFe_(2)O_(4) expose more active sites,which plays an important role in optimizing catalytic reactions.This work provides an excellent jumping-off point for the development of multifunction EM absorbing materials,eco-friendliness EMI shielding materials and electrocatalysts. | Yuchang Wang Lihua Yao Qi Zheng Mao-Sheng Cao | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,7: | 3 |

Based on the incorporate a sparsity-inducing prior over multiple latent factors and appropriate hyper-priors over all hyper-parameters, a Bayesian-based hierarchical probabilistic CP factorization model could be formed. By this way, the rank of the incomplete tensor can be determined automatically. In this paper, we explored the tensor completion method in processing incomplete multidimensional electroencephalogram(EEG) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) clinical data. | 16 | Distribution characteristics of soil organic carbon and nitrogen in farmland and adjacent natural grassland in Tibet显示文摘Land-use significantly affects soil organic carbon(SOC)and nitrogen cycling,eventually leading to global climate change.The cold and arid climate conditions in Tibet are not conducive to transformation of SOC and nitrogen.Hence,research on SOC and nitrogen distribution under different land-use patterns in Tibet is an important basis to assess the soil carbon and nitrogen potential in the land ecosystem of this area.This study aims to explain the effects of two land-use patterns,namely,farmland and grassland,on SOC and nitrogen contents in the cold regions of Tibet.This study also seeks to provide a scientific basis for the agricultural and grass production system.To achieve these goals,the changing features of total nitrogen(TN),mineralized nitrogen(nitrate nitrogen(NN)and ammonium nitrogen(AN)),and SOC were analyzed in different soil depths(0-5,5-10,10-20,20-30,30-40,and 40-50 cm)in farmland and adjacent natural grassland.The differences in carbon and nitrogen contents between the farmland and grassland of the main agricultural area of Tibet were determined through combined field survey and lab analysis.Results showed that the contents of SOC,TN and mineralized nitrogen in the grassland and farmland decreased with increasing soil depth mainly in the surface with depth of 0-20 cm.The effects of the different land-use patterns on the contents of SOC and TN were primarily evident in the 0-10 cm surface layer.The contents of SOC and TN in the farmland were significantly lower than those in the grassland,with mean reduction by 28.36%for SOC and 20.76%for TN.When the soil layer is deeper than 10 cm,the contents of SOC and TN in the farmland were greater than those in the grassland.This finding indicated that the transformation from grassland to farmland in Tibet mainly influenced the SOC and TN in the 0-10 cm surface layer.Moreover,the results showed that the increment of carbon in the deep soil layers of the farmland partially offsets the SOC loss from the surface because of cultivation.The ratio of mineralized nitrogen to TN in the farmland was significantly higher than that in the grassland(p<0.001).Mineralized nitrogen in the farmland mainly existed in the form of NN,with a mean content of 2.7%in the 0-50 cm surface layer.By contrast,the difference in the ratio of AN to TN between the grassland and farmland was not significant.The results revealed that the land-use pattern in extremely cold agricultural areas mainly affects the contents of SOC and nitrogen in the 0-10 cm surface layer,and agricultural management is beneficial in increasing the SOC content in the deeper layers. | Liu Heman Cao Lihua Xu Changchang Yang Hong Li Baoguo | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,1: | 2 |
| 17 | Regulating bifunctional flower-like NiFe_(2)O_(4)/graphene for green EMI shielding and lithium ion storage显示文摘Environment and energy are the eternal hot topics in the world,multiloculated microscale materials have attracted great attention in the field of electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding and lithium ions storage.Herein,a novel flower-like NiFe_(2)O_(4)/graphene composite with adjustable structure was fabricated as EMI shielding material and anode material of lithium-ion batteries.NiFe_(2)O_(4)/graphene composite is a potential green EMI shielding material.The EMI shielding effectiveness(SE)increases with the increase of graphene content in NiFe_(2)O_(4)/graphene composite,and the total EMI SE of NiFe_(2)O_(4)/graphene with 73.6 wt.%graphene increases from 26.5 to 40.6 d B with the increase of frequency in 2–18 GHz.Furthermore,it exhibits long-life and large capacity lithium storage performance at high current density.The capacity reaches 732.79 m Ah g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 0.1 A g^(-1),recovering to more than 139%from the minimum capacity value.After 300 cycles at 0.5 A g^(-1),the capacity increases to 688.5 mAh g^(-1).The initial capacities at 2 and 5 A g^(-1)are 704.9 and 717.8 mAh g^(-1),and remain 297.9 and 203.2 m Ah g^(-1)after 1000 cycles.The distinguished EMI shielding performance and electrochemical performance are mainly ascribed to the structure regulation of NiFe_(2)O_(4)/graphene composite,as well as the synergistic effect of graphene and NiFe_(2)O_(4).This research opens up infinite opportunities for the application of multifunctional and interdisciplinary materials. | Lihua Yao Wenqiang Cao Jianguo Zhao Qi Zheng Yuchang Wang Shang Jiang Qiliang Pan Jie Song Youqi Zhu Maosheng Cao | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,32: | 2 |
| 18 | A Retrospective Study of Treatment Efficacy of 65 Children with Ametroic Amblyopia显示文摘Purpose: To investigate relationship between treatment efficacy and the severity of ametropic amblyopia, the type of anisometropia and patient age. Methods:A total of 65 children with ametropic amblyopia undergoing clinical treatment in the ophthalmology department of Shaoguan Hygienic Hospital of Women and Children between June 2005 and November 2011 were enrolled in this study. The treatment efficacy for those subjects with different severities of ametropic amblyopia, types of anisometropia and ages was recorded. Results: The near-recovery/recovery rate, improvement rate and ineffectiveness rate were 70.8%, 16.9% and 12.3%, respectively. The recovery rates in mild-, moderate- and severe amblyopia groups were 97.1%, 61.1% and 8.3% respectively (P<0.05)..The recovery rate for patients with hyperopic-, astigmatic- and myopic anisometropia were 75.8%, 78.3% and 33.3% respectively. The recovery rates did not differ between hyperopic- and astigmatic- anisometropia children(P>0.05), whereas a statistically significant difference was noted between myopic children compared with their hyperopic and myopic-anisometropia counterparts (all P<0.05). The recovery rate for patients aged 3 to 6 years was 86.8% and 48.1% for those aged between 7 and 10 years (P<0.05). Conclusion: The treatment efficacy in ametropic amblyopia is associated with the severity of amblyopia, type of anisometropia and patient's age. Older patients with more severe amblyopia had poorer treatment efficacy. | 19 | Effect of Rotor-stator Axial Gap on the Tip Seal Leakage Flow of a Steam Turbine显示文摘The tip leakage flow in different axial gaps is numerically investigated based on the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations and k-ω SST turbulent model using commercial CFD software ANSYS Fluent.The characteristics of vortexes in the flow field of tip seal and the distribution law of rotor tip leakage loss are analyzed under the change of axial gap.The results show that the flow field in the blade tip seal undergoes complex changes with the increase of axial gap.There are two opposite vortices in the seal cavity with small axial gap,namely,the large vortex in the cavity and the small vortex near the wall of the shroud.The small vortex gradually disappears with the increase of the axial gap.When the axial gap is increased to a certain value,the reverse large vortex is formed in the cavity behind the low teeth of seal,and the leakage rate increases significantly;the steam flow angle and the mixing loss also show different changes.Based on the traditional calculation formula of tip leakage rate,a more accurate calculation formula of tip leakage rate is constructed by introducing equivalent labyrinth seal teeth to consider the variation of axial gap. | LI Pan CAO Lihua | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,3: | 2 |
