| 2 | The electromagnetic wave experiment for CSES mission: Search coil magnetometer显示文摘The seismic activities on the Earth can produce a disturbance of the electromagnetic field and particles in the ionosphere. The search coil magnetometer(SCM) mounted on China Seismo-Electromagnetic satellite(CSES) is designed to measure the magnetic field fluctuation of low frequency electromagnetic waves in the frequency range of 10 Hz–20 k Hz. The SCM comprises a three-axis search coil sensor mounted on a 4.5 m boom and an electronic box inside satellite module. The sampling rate of the SCM is 51.2 k Hz and the time resolution of the power spectrum density(PSD) is 2 s. The frequency resolution is 12.5 Hz.There are three operation modes: survey, detailed survey and calibration. In the survey mode, the SCM can provide a PSD in the whole frequency range of 10 Hz–20 k Hz and wave forms in the low frequency range below 2 k Hz while in the detailed survey mode the SCM can provide both PSD and wave forms in the whole frequency range of 10 Hz–20 k Hz. The sensitivity of the SCM instrument is 5.0×10^(-4) n T Hz^(-1/2) at 10 Hz, 5.0×10^(–5) n T Hz^(-1/2) at 200 Hz, 3.4×10^(-5) n T Hz^(-1/2) at 2 k Hz and 1.1×10^(-4) n T Hz^(-1/2) at 20 k Hz. The telemetry rate is ~0.85 Mbps in the survey mode and ~3.0 Mbps in the detailed survey mode. The phase difference between three axes can be made generally with a precision of less than 1.0°. The dynamic range of the SCM instrument is over 100 d B. The orthogonality of three mechanical axes of search coil senor is better than 0.13°. | 3 | Current Status and Future Challenges of Weather Radar Polarimetry: Bridging the Gap between Radar Meteorology/Hydrology/Engineering and Numerical Weather Prediction显示文摘After decades of research and development, the WSR-88 D(NEXRAD) network in the United States was upgraded with dual-polarization capability, providing polarimetric radar data(PRD) that have the potential to improve weather observations,quantification, forecasting, and warnings. The weather radar networks in China and other countries are also being upgraded with dual-polarization capability. Now, with radar polarimetry technology having matured, and PRD available both nationally and globally, it is important to understand the current status and future challenges and opportunities. The potential impact of PRD has been limited by their oftentimes subjective and empirical use. More importantly, the community has not begun to regularly derive from PRD the state parameters, such as water mixing ratios and number concentrations, used in numerical weather prediction(NWP) models.In this review, we summarize the current status of weather radar polarimetry, discuss the issues and limitations of PRD usage, and explore potential approaches to more efficiently use PRD for quantitative precipitation estimation and forecasting based on statistical retrieval with physical constraints where prior information is used and observation error is included. This approach aligns the observation-based retrievals favored by the radar meteorology community with the model-based analysis of the NWP community. | 4 | FY-4A LMI Observed Lightning Activity in Super Typhoon Mangkhut(2018)in Comparison with WWLLN Data显示文摘Using lightning observations from the Fengyun-4A Lightning Mapping Imager(FY-4A LMI),best-track data from the Shanghai Typhoon Institute,bright temperature(TBB)data from Himawari-8 satellite,and composite reflectivity(CR)data from the South China radar network,we investigate the spatiotemporal distribution of lightning activity and convective evolution during the landfall of Super Typhoon Mangkhut,the strongest landing typhoon in China in2018.Three stages of active total lightning are observed,and differences of lightning characteristics between the inner core and the outer rainbands are present.The onset of inner-core lightning outbreak is about 4 h ahead of the maximum intensity of the storm,providing indicative information on the change of typhoon intensity.Lightning rates in the outer rainbands increase rapidly 12 h before the landfall,and lightning activity is mainly confined in the outer rainbands after the landfall.A good correlation in hourly variation is shown between lightning rates from the LMI and TBBs from the satellite.The averaged TBB within the inner core reaches its minimum(–80℃)when the innercore lightning outbreak occurs,indicating the occurrence and enhancement of deep convection there.Lightning locations observed by the LMI has a good spatial correspondence with regions of low TBBs and high CRs,revealing the monitoring capability of the LMI to lightning activity and deep convection in landing typhoons.Comparisons between the World Wide Lightning Location Network(WWLLN)and the LMI reveal that the spatial distribution,temporal evolution,and radial pattern of lightning activity in Mangkhut observed by the two systems are consistent.Furthermore,due to the detection capability of total lightning,the LMI has advantages in revealing the higher ratio of intra-cloud lightning within the inner core in typhoon.The continuous and real-time observation ofFY-4ALMI provides an unprecedented platform for monitoring total lightning and deep convection in landing typhoons in China,which will promote the generation of new research and applications in the future. | Wenjuan ZHANG Wen HUI Weitao LYU Dongjie CAO Pengfei LI Dong ZHENG Xiang FANG Yijun ZHANG | 2020 | Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,2: | 7 |
| 5 | The histone H3 lysine-27 demethylase Jmjd3 plays a critical role in specific regulation of Th17 cell differentiation显示文摘Interleukin(IL)17-producing T helper(Th17)cells play critical roles in the clearance of extracellular bacteria and fungi as well as the pathogenesis of various autoimmune diseases,such as multiple sclerosis,psoriasis,and ulcerative colitis.Although a global transcriptional regulatory network of Th17 cell differentiation has been mapped recently,the participation of epigenetic modifications in the differentiation process has yet to be elucidated.We demonstrated here that histone H3 lysine-27(H3K27)demethylation,predominantly mediated by the H3K27 demethylase Jmjd3,crucially regulated Th17 cell differentiation.Activation of naı¨ve CD41 T cells immediately induced high expression of Jmjd3.Genetic depletion of Jmjd3 in CD41 T cells specifically impaired Th17 cell differentiation both in vitro and in vivo.Ectopic expression of Jmjd3 largely rescued the impaired differentiation of Th17 cells in vitro in Jmjd3-deficientCD41 T cells.Importantly,Jmjd3-deficient mice were resistant to the induction of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE).Furthermore,inhibition of the H3K27 demethylase activity with the specific inhibitor GSK-J4 dramatically suppressed Th17 cell differentiation in vitro.At the molecular level,Jmjd3 directly bound to and reduced the level of H3K27 trimethylation(me3)at the genomic sites ofRorc,which encodes the masterTh17 transcription factorRorgt,and Th17 cytokine genes such as Il17,Il17f,and Il22.Therefore,our studies established acritical role of Jmjd3-mediatedH3K27demethylation inTh17 cell differentiation andsuggest that Jmjd3 can be a novel therapeutic target for suppressing autoimmune responses. | Zhi Liu Wei Cao Longxia Xu Xi Chen Yu Zhan Qian Yang Sanhong Liu Pengfei Chen Yuhang Jiang Xiaohua Sun Yu Tao Yiming Hu Cuifeng Li Qi Wang Ying Wang Charlie Degui Chen Yufang Shi Xiaoren Zhang | 2015 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2015,7,6: | 6 |

| 7 | Wearable CNT/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/PDMS composite strain sensor with enhanced stability for real-time human healthcare monitoring显示文摘Strain sensors with good stability are vital to the development of wearable healthcare monitoring systems.However,the design of strain sensor with both duration stability and environmental stability is still a challenge.In this work,we propose an ultra-stable and washable strain sensor by embedding a coupled composite film of carbon nanotube(CNT)and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene into polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)matrix.The composite strain sensor with embedded microstructure and uneven surface makes it conformal to skin,while the CNT/MXene sensing layer exhibits a resistance sensitive to strain.This sensor shows reliable responses at different frequencies and with long-term cycling durability(over 1,000 cycles).Meanwhile,the CNT/MXene/PDMS composite strain sensor provides the advantages of superior anti-interference to temperature change and water washing.The results demonstrate less than 10%resistance changes as the temperature rises from-20 to 80℃or after sonication in water for 120 min,respectively.The composite sensor is applied to monitor human joint motions,such as bending of finger,wrist and elbow.Moreover,the simultaneous monitoring of the electrocardiogram(ECG)signal and joint movement while riding a sports bicycle is demonstrated,enabling the great potential of the as-fabricated sensor in real-time human healthcare monitoring. | Xiaowen Xu Yucheng Chen Pei He Song Wang Kai Ling Longhui Liu Pengfei Lei Xianjun Huang Hu Zhao Jianyun Cao Junliang Yang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,8: | 5 |

| 13 | Single-/fused-band dual-mode mid-infrared imaging with colloidal quantum-dot triple-junctions显示文摘Image data acquired with fused multispectral information can be used for effective identification and navigation owing to additional information beyond human vision,including thermal distribution,night vision,and molecular composition.However,the construction of photodetectors with such capabilities is hindered by the structural complexity arising from the integration of multiple semiconductor junctions with distinct energy gaps and lattice constants.In this work,we develop a colloidal quantum-dot dual-mode detector capable of detecting,separating,and fusing photons from various wavelength ranges.Using three vertically stacked colloidal quantum-dot homojunctions with alternating polarity,single-band short-wave infrared imaging and fused-band imaging(short-wave and mid-wave infrared)can be achieved with the same detector by controlling bias polarity and magnitude.The dual-mode detectors show detectivity up to 8×10^(10)Jones at the fused-band mode and 3.1×10^(11)Jones at the single-band mode,respectively.Without image post-processing algorithms,the dual-mode detectors could provide both night vision and thermal information-enhanced night vision imaging capability.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first colloidal quantum-dot detector that can achieve such functionality.The operation mode can be changed at a high frequency up to 1.7 MHz,making it possible to achieve simultaneously dual-mode imaging and remote temperature sensing. | SHUO ZHANG GE MU JIE CAO YUNING LUO QUN HAO MENGLU CHEN YIMEI TAN PENGFEI ZHAO XIN TANG | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,8: | 3 |
| 14 | Hybrid assessment of pre-blasting weakening to horizontal section top coal caving (HSTCC) in steep and thick seams显示文摘Horizontal section top-coal(HSTCC)caving offers a powerful method to efficiently excavate rude coal in steep and thick seams,and pre-blasting weakening has a profound effect on pursuing great production,high efficiency and good benefit under particular conditions like a small-scale working face with large-scale sectional caving height.+564-level HSTCC working face in B3–6coal seams of Jiangou Colliery in Urumqi was taken as study case for in situ industrial experiment.Total thickness of seams in the study case is about 50.0 m and average angel here is over 83°.In the industrial experiments,at first we adopted continuous charge machine and emulsion matrix explosive to substitute for traditional blasting schemes for specific geological settings in the study case.Hybrid analyses and assessments with blasting crack propagation analysis,abutment pressure monitoring prediction and economical benefit assessment were attributed to be able to attest pre-blasting weakening effects practically.Meanwhile crack propagation analysis after pre-blasting weakening showed that in all triple monitoring bore holes rock masses of top-coal would be fallen into three stages from the bottom up:fracture zone,plastic zone and elastic zone generally,and fracture toughness respectively in correspondent zones was calculated by the analytical formula:0.5616–0.8806,0.6403–0.9541 and0.7535–1.1900 MPa m1/2after pre-blasting weakening.Pressure monitoring prediction and economical benefit assessment also indicated that it was necessary to introduce the pre-blasting weakening with predominant blasting scheme from both views.For excavation in extremely steep and thick coal seams,relevant results would be a useful tool to study the mechanism of pre-blasting weakening both qualitatively and quantitatively. | Lai Xingping Shan Pengfei Cao Jiantao Sun Huan Suo Zhengyong Cui Feng | 2014 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,1: | 3 |

| 19 | Constructing public health evidence knowledge graph for decision-making support from COVID-19 literature of modelling study显示文摘The needs of mitigating COVID-19 epidemic prompt policymakers to make public health-related decision under the guidelines of science.Tremendous unstructured COVID-19 publications make it challenging for policymakers to obtain relevant evidence.Knowledge graphs(KGs)can formalize unstructured knowledge into structured form and have been used in supporting decision-making recently.Here,we introduce a novel framework that can ex-tract the COVID-19 public health evidence knowledge graph(CPHE-KG)from papers relating to a modelling study.We screen out a corpus of 3096 COVID-19 modelling study papers by performing a literature assessment process.We define a novel annotation schema to construct the COVID-19 modelling study-related IE dataset(CPHIE).We also propose a novel multi-tasks document-level information extraction model SS-DYGIE++based on the dataset.Leveraging the model on the new corpus,we construct CPHE-KG containing 60,967 entities and 51,140 rela-tions.Finally,we seek to apply our KG to support evidence querying and evidence mapping visualization.Our SS-DYGIE++(SpanBERT)model has achieved a F1 score of 0.77 and 0.55 respectively in document-level entity recognition and coreference resolution tasks.It has also shown high performance in the relation identification task.With evidence querying,our KG can present the dynamic transmissions of COVID-19 pandemic in different countries and regions.The evidence mapping of our KG can show the impacts of variable non-pharmacological interventions to COVID-19 pandemic.Analysis demonstrates the quality of our KG and shows that it has the potential to support COVID-19 policy making in public health. | Yunrong Yang Zhidong Cao Pengfei Zhao Dajun Daniel Zeng Qingpeng Zhang Yin Luo | 2021 | Journal of Safety Science and Resilience2021,2,3: | 2 |
| 20 | Comparison of gut microbiota in autism spectrum disorders and neurotypical boys in China:A case-control study显示文摘Background:Autism spectrum disorders(ASDs)are a set of complex neurobiological disorders.Growing evidence has shown that the microbiota that resides in the gut can modulate brain development via the gut–brain axis.However,direct clinical evidence of the role of the microbiota–gut–brain axis in ASD is relatively limited.Methods:A case-control study of 71 boys with ASD and 18 neurotypical controls was conducted at China-Japan Friendship Hospital.Demographic information and fecal samples were collected,and the gut microbiome was evaluated and compared by 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing and metagenomic sequencing.Results:A higher abundance of operational taxonomic units(OTUs)based on fecal bacterial profiling was observed in the ASD group.Significantly different microbiome profiles were observed between the two groups.At the genus level,we observed a decrease in the relative abundance of Escherichia,Shigella,Veillonella,Akkermansia,Provindencia,Dialister,Bifidobacterium,Streptococcus,Ruminococcaceae UCG_002,Megasphaera,Eubacterium_coprostanol,Citrobacter,Ruminiclostridium_5,and Ruminiclostridium_6 in the ASD cohort,while Eisenbergiella,Klebsiella,Faecalibacterium,and Blautia were significantly increased.Ten bacterial strains were selected for clinical discrimination between those with ASD and the neurotypical controls.The highest AUC value of the model was 0.947.Conclusion:Significant differences were observed in the composition of the gut microbiome between boys with ASD and neurotypical controls.These findings contribute to the knowledge of the alteration of the gut microbiome in ASD patients,which opens the possibility for early identification of this disease. | Fang Ye Xinying Gao Zhiyi Wang Shuman Cao Guangcai Liang Danni He Zhitang Lv Liming Wang Pengfei Xu Qi Zhang | 2021 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2021,6,2: | 2 |
