| 1 | Mechanism of zinc damaging to blast furnace tuyere refractory显示文摘The phenomena of tuyere upward-warp have been found at No.6 blast furnace in Kunming Steel Company China after its blow-in,which has made a great impact on the practical production of the furnace.Thus,a number of efforts have been made to elucidate the mechanism of this phenomenon.The results of investigation and tests revealed that the enrichment and expansion of zinc in the tuyere bricks is the main factor leading to the tuyere upward-warp.The eroding behavior of zinc is that the inner structure of the tuyere bricks turns from dense to loose with entering,enriching and expanding of zinc,which forms spot-like→stripe-like→ditch-like→vein-like→tumorlike eroding passage.Additionally,it is found that the sequence of deleterious elements entering the tuyere refractory is K,Na,Zn and Pb,respectively.Finally,the phenomena and process of zinc crystallization and growth in the refractory have been clearly observed and recorded during this investigation. | Xuefeng FANG Mansheng CHU Fengman SHEN Zhuming ZHANG | 2009 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2009,22,6: | 18 |
| 2 | Optical and scintillation properties of Bi_4Si_3O_(12):RE(RE=Eu^(3+), Sm^(3+),Ho^(3+), Tb^(3+))single crystals显示文摘Bi_4 Si_3 O_(12):RE(BSO:RE, RE = Eu^(3+), Sm^(3+), Ho^(3+), Tb^(3+)) crystals were grown by the modified vertical Bridgeman method, and doping effects on scintillation properties were investigated. Under γ-ray irradiation, the light yield of BSO doped with small doses of Eu^(3+) increases slightly, and the energy resolution improves significantly compared to pure BSO, therefore the ability of distinguishing between particles will be improved for BSO crystals with a small amount of Eu^(3+) dopant. The results show that a small amount of Eu^(3+) doping can sensitize the Bi^(3+) ions. The sensitization effect enables the reduction of intrinsic defects, and thus improves the scintillation properties. However, the relative light yield of BSO:Tb(1.0 mol%) crystal is 4.3%, which is smaller than 5.0% of pure BSO. | 4 | Efficient acidic oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalyzed by iridium-based 12L-perovskites comprising trinuclear face-shared IrO6 octahedral strings显示文摘Development of cost-effective and highly active oxygen evolution catalysts operating well in acidic media is a critical challenge in proton exchange membrane water electrolysis.Herein,we present a class of iridium-based 12L-perovskites(Ba4MIr3O12;M=Pr,Bi,Nb)as novel low-iridium electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction under acidic conditions.These 12L-perovskites contain trinuclear face-shared Ir O6octahedral strings—unique subunits that are not found in the previously-reported iridium-based electrocatalysts.The catalytic activities of 12L-perovskites(Ba4MIr3O12)are found to be related to the location of O 2p-band center,which is influenced by the B-site nonprecious element(i.e.,Pr,Bi or Nb).Our experimental results show that Ba4PrIr3O12is the most active electrocatalyst among the materials we synthesize,and contains 55%less iridium than the benchmark catalyst IrO2,while exhibiting higher catalytic activity.In the presence of Ba4PrIr3O12,transient leaching process of Ba and Pr takes place during electrochemical process,contributing to the surface reconstruction of the pristine catalysts.Further experimental results reveal that the formation of under-coordinated Ir Ox-rich surface and easier generation of active intermediate IrVare mainly responsible for the good activity of Ba4PrIr3O12. | Ruiqin Gao Qi Zhang Hui Chen Xuefeng Chu Guo-Dong Li Xiaoxin Zou | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,8: | 2 |
| 5 | Screening and evaluation of antioxidants from lees by micro-injector systems combined with a fluorescent probe,N-borylbenzyloxycarbonyl-3,7-dihydroxyphenoxazine,in living Drosophila显示文摘Over the past few decades, the determination of antioxidant activity by chemical probe has been widely reported, but in vivo evaluation via model organisms of Drosophila melanogaster and rapid discovery system has not been studied adequately. In this study, we determined the antioxidant activity of lees and demonstrated the ability of compounds in lees to scavenge H_2O_2 in vitro and in vivo by different chemical probes. Lees increased the ability of Drosophila against oxidative stress and antioxidant enzyme activity in vivo. Five ingredients of organic acids and flavones in lees extract that rapidly scavenged H_2O_2 were revealed by a post-column-derived HPLC-UV-FLD system based on 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid(PHPAA)chemiluminescence. Additionally, another fluorescent probe,N-borylbenzyloxycarbonyl-3,7-dihydroxyphenoxazine(NBCD), was selected to evaluate the reactive oxygen species(ROS) scavenging capacity of lees in living Drosophila melanogaster using a microfluidic injection test coupled with microscopic imaging analysis, and similar effects were observed in flies when they were treated with tartaric acid and caffeic acid. Further, it was used for degradation of methyl orange(MO) under the illumination of visible-light(simulated).The results show that Pd/TiO2 with 2%(mass fraction) Pd exhibits the noticeable activity in photodegrading of MO.The detailed analysis shows that this enhancement is attributed to the reduction of the rate of electron-hole recombination and surface plasmon resonance of Pd. | 7 | Adjacent acid sites cooperatively catalyze fructose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in a new, facile pathway显示文摘To study the effect of adjacent hydroxyl to the active sites, several acid catalysts, i.e. substituted benzoic acids with adjacent carboxyl are employed in the fructose dehydration to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF).Experimental results reveal that Br?nsted acid sites with adjacent carboxyl present higher catalytic ability than isolated ones. Computational results suggest that the adjacent sites lead to co-interaction on fructose, corresponding more stable transition state and faster HMF formation rate. | 14 | Carboxyl-functionalized Nanocellulose Reinforced Nanocomposite Proton Exchange Membrane显示文摘Nanocellulose(NCC) was prepared through the acid hydrolysis of microcellulose(MCC) and was reacted with maleic anliydride to obtain carboxyl-functionized nanocellulose(MA-NCCs). The presence of .OH and .SO3H on the surface of rod-like MA-NCC was confirmed by Fourier transfonn infrared spectrometry(FTIR). Sulfonated poly(aryl ether ether ketone ketone)(Ph-SPEEKK) was synthesized with bis(4-fluorophenyl-methanone) and 2-phenylhydroquinone as monomer. MA-NCC/Ph-SPEEKK nanocomposite membranes with different MA-NCCs content were prepared, and their properties were characterized. Compared with Ph-SPEEKK, MA-NCC/Ph-SPEEKK nanocomposite membrane showed better mechanical and thermal properties and higher proton conductivity. The proton conductivity of the composite membrane with 4%(mass fraction) MA-NCCs under 80℃ was 0.095 S/cm.
