3Enhanced activation of peroxydisulfate by strontium modified BiFeO3 perovskite for ciprofloxacin degradation显示文摘A series of Sr-doped BiFeO3 perovskites(Bi1-xSrxFeO3,BSFO)fabricated via sol-gel method was applied as peroxydisulfate(PDS)activator for ciprofloxacin(CIP)degradation.Various technologies were used to characterize the morphology and physicochemical features of prepared BSFO samples and the results indicated that Sr was successfully inserted into the perovskites lattice.The catalytic performance of BiFeO3 was significantly boosted by strontium doping.Specifically,Bi0.9Sr0.1FeO3(0.1 BSFO)exhibited the highest catalytic performance for PDS activation to remove CIP,where 95%of CIP(10 mg/L)could be degraded with the addition of 1 g/L 0.1 BSFO and 1 mmol/L PDS within 60 min.Moreover,0.1 BSFO displayed high reusability and stability with lower metal leaching.Weak acidic condition was preferred to neutral and alkaline conditions in 0.1 BSFO/PDS system.The boosted catalytic performance can be interpreted as the lower oxidation state of Fe and the existence of affluent oxygen vacancies generated by Sr doping,that induced the formation of singlet oxygen(^1O_(2))which was confirmed as the dominant reactive species by radical scavenging studies and electron spin resonance(ESR)tests.The catalytic oxidation mechanism related to major ^1O_(2) and minor free radicals was proposed.Current study opens a new avenue to develop effective A-site modified perovskite and expands their application for PDS activation in wastewater remediation.Caicai Wang Shengwang Gao Jianchao Zhu Xunfeng Xia Mingxin Wang Yanna Xiong 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1:4
4Microstructural evolution and growth kinetics of thermally grown oxides in plasma sprayed thermal barrier coatings显示文摘The formation of thermally grown oxide(TGO) during high temperature is a key factor to the degradation of thermal barrier coatings(TBCs)applied on hot section components. In the present study both the Co Ni Cr Al Y bond coat and Zr O_2-8 wt.% Y_2O_3(8YSZ) ceramic coat of TBCs were prepared by air plasma spraying(APS). The composition and microstructure of TGO in TBCs were investigated using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis. The growth rate of TGO for TBC and pure BC were gained after isothermal oxidation at 1100 °C for various times. The results showed that as-sprayed bond coat consisted of β and γ/γ'phases,β phase reducesd as the oxidation time increased. The TGO comprised α-Al_2O_3 formed in the first 2 h. Co O, Ni O, Cr_2O_3 and spinel oxides appeared after 20 h of oxidation. Contents of Co O and Ni O reduced while that of Cr_2O_3 and spinel oxides increased in the later oxidation stage.The TGO eventually consisted of a sub-Al2O3 layer with columnar microstructure and the upper porous CS clusters. 8A double-layered liquid metal-based electrochemical sensing system on fabric as a wearable detector for glucose in sweat显示文摘Integrated electrochemical sensing plaforms in wearable devices have great prospects in biomedical applications.However,traditional electrochemical platforms are generally fabricated on airtight printed circuit boards,which lack sufficient flexibility,air permeability,and conformability.Liquid metals at room temperature with excellent mobility and electrical conductivity show high promise in flexible electronics.This paper presents a miniaturized liquid metal-based flexible electrochemical detection system on fabric,which is intrinsically flexible,air-permeable,and conformable to the body.Taking advantage of the excellent fluidity and electrical connectivity of liquid metal,a double-layer circuit is fabricated that significantly miniaturizes the size of the whole system.The linear response,time stability,and repeatability of this system are verifed by resistance,stability,image characterization,and potassium ferricyanide tests.Finall,glucose in sweat can be detected at the millimolar level using this sensing system,which demonstrates its great potential for wearable and portable detection in biomedical fields,such as health monitoring and point-of-care testing.Xuanqi Chen Hao Wan Rui Guo Xinpeng Wang Yang Wang Caicai Jiao Kang Sun Liang Hu 2022Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,3:1

10Damage evolution and failure mechanism of thermal barrier coatings under Vickers indentation by using acoustic emission technique显示文摘Acoustic emission(AE) technique was adopted to monitor the damage evolution of air plasma-sprayed(APS) yttria-partially-stabilized zirconia(YSZ) thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) during instrumented indentation testing, and then the failure mechanisms were investigated by cluster analysis and wavelet transform methods.The results of cluster analysis showed that there were three classes associated with distinct failure types for the 8YSZ coatings under Vickers indentation. Based on wavelet transform, these three clusters could be clearly distinguished from their dominant frequency bands, which were concentrated on levels A5(0–156.25 kHz), D5(156.25–312.5 kHz) and D4(312.5–625 kHz), respectively. Thus, the failure mechanism of 8YSZ coatings under Vickers indentation could be clarified by the distribution of different failure types in indentation depth. To sum up, as indentation load increases, the 8YSZ coatings can accommodate the indenter by elastic or little plastic deformation, microcracks propagation and then debonding at the splat boundaries. 15Variations in melt supply along an orthogonal supersegment of the Southwest Indian Ridge(16°–25°E)显示文摘The orthogonal supersegment of the ultraslow-spreading Southwest Indian Ridge at 16°–25°E is characterized by significant along-axis variations of mantle potential temperature.A detailed analysis of multibeam bathymetry,gravity,and magnetic data were performed to investigate its variations in magma supply and crustal accretion process.The results revealed distinct across-axis variations of magma supply.Specifically,the regionally averaged crustal thickness reduced systematically from around 7 Ma to the present,indicating a regionally decreasing magma supply.The crustal structure is asymmetric in regional scale between the conjugate ridge flanks,with the faster-spreading southern flank showing thinner crust and greater degree of tectonic extension.Geodynamic models of mantle melting suggested that the observed variations in axial crustal thickness and major element geochemistry can be adequately explained by an eastward decrease in mantle potential temperature of about40℃ beneath the ridge axis.In this work,a synthesized model was proposed to explain the axial variations of magma supply and ridge segmentation stabilities.The existence of large ridge-axis offsets may play important roles in controlling melt supply.Several large ridge-axis offsets in the eastern section(21°–25°E)caused sustained along-axis focusing of magma supply at the centers of eastern ridge segments,enabling quasi-stable segmentation.In contrast,the western section(16°–21°E),which lacks large ridge-axis offsets,is associated with unstable segmentation patterns.Caicai Zha Jian Lin Zhiyuan Zhou Xubo Zhang Min Xu Fan Zhang 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,5:0
16Neural stem cell-derived exosomes regulate cell proliferation,migration,and cell death of brain microvascular endothelial cells via the miR-9/Hes1 axis under hypoxia显示文摘Background:Our previous study found that mouse embryonic neural stem cell(NSC)-derived exosomes(EXOs)regulated NSC differentiation via the miR-9/Hes1 axis.However,the effects of EXOs on brain microvascular endothelial cell(BMEC)dysfunction via the miR-9/Hes1 axis remain unknown.Therefore,the current study aimed to determine the effects of EXOs on BMEC proliferation,migration,and death via the miR-9/Hes1 axis.Methods:Immunofluorescence,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction,cell counting kit-8 assay,wound healing assay,calcein-acetoxymethyl/propidium iodide staining,and hematoxylin and eosin staining were used to determine the role and mechanism of EXOs on BMECs.Results:EXOs promoted BMEC proliferation and migration and reduced cell death under hypoxic conditions.The overexpression of miR-9 promoted BMEC prolifera-tion and migration and reduced cell death under hypoxic conditions.Moreover,miR-9 downregulation inhibited BMEC proliferation and migration and also promoted cell death.Hes1 silencing ameliorated the effect of amtagomiR-9 on BMEC proliferation and migration and cell death.Hyperemic structures were observed in the regions of the hippocampus and cortex in hypoxia-induced mice.Meanwhile,EXO treatment improved cerebrovascular alterations.Conclusion:NSC-derived EXOs can promote BMEC proliferation and migra-tion and reduce cell death via the miR-9/Hes1 axis under hypoxic conditions.Therefore,EXO therapeutic strategies could be considered for hypoxia-induced vascular injury.Xiaojun Deng Xiaoyi Hu Shang Wang Hui Zhao Yaqin Wei Jiaqi Fu Wenhui Wu Jinming Liu Caicai Zhang Lili Wang Ping Yuan 2024Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2024,7,1:0
