2Effect of Mach number on transonic flow past a circular cylinder显示文摘The effect of Mach number on transonic flow past a circular cylinder is investigated numerically for the free-stream Mach number M∞ from 0.85 to 0.98 and the Reynolds number 2×105 based on the diameter of the cylinder. The work provides an insight into several salient features, including unsteady and quasi-steady flow state, formation of local supersonic zone, and evolution of turbulent shear layer. Results show that there exist two flow states dependent of a critical Mach number Mcr around 0.9. One is an unsteady flow state characterized by moving shock waves interacting with the turbulent flow in the near region of the cylinder for M∞Mcr, suppressing vortex shedding from the cylin-der. Some flow behaviors in the unsteady and quasi-steady flow states are revealed. From time evolu-tion of flow structures, local supersonic zones are identified in the wake and generated by two typical processes, i.e. reverse flow behind the cylinder and shed vortices in the near wake. The convective Mach number Mc of turbulent shear layers shed from the cylinder is identified nearly as Mc<1 in the unsteady flow regime and Mc>1 in the quasi-steady flow regime, resulting in different evolutions of the shear layers.XU ChangYue CHEN LiWei LU XiYun 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,11:15
3Grinding performance evaluation of porous composite-bonded CBN wheels for Inconel 718显示文摘For high-efficiency grinding of difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium and nickel alloys, a high porosity is expected and also a sufficient mechanical strength to satisfy the function.However, the porosity increase is a disadvantage to the mechanical strength. As a promising pore forming agent, alumina bubbles are firstly induced into the abrasive layer to fabricate porous cubic boron nitride(CBN) wheels. When the wheel porosity reaches 45%, the bending strength is still high up to 50 MPa with modified orderly pore distribution. A porous CBN wheel was fabricated with a total porosity around 30%. The grinding performance of the porous composite-bonded CBN wheel was evaluated in terms of specific force, specific grinding energy, and grinding temperature, which were better than those of the vitrified one under the same grinding conditions. 4An analytical symplectic approach to the vibration analysis of orthotropic graphene sheets显示文摘A nonlocal continuum orthotropic plate model is proposed to study the vibration behavior of single-layer graphene sheets(SLGSs) using an analytical symplectic approach. A Hamiltonian system is established by introducing a total unknown vector consisting of the displacement amplitude, rotation angle, shear force, and bending moment.The high-order governing differential equation of the vibration of SLGSs is transformed into a set of ordinary differential equations in symplectic space. Exact solutions for free vibration are obtianed by the method of separation of variables without any trial shape functions and can be expanded in series of symplectic eigenfunctions. Analytical frequency equations are derived for all six possible boundary conditions. Vibration modes are expressed in terms of the symplectic eigenfunctions. In the numerical examples, comparison is presented to verify the accuracy of the proposed method. Comprehensive numerical examples for graphene sheets with Levy-type boundary conditions are given. 5Large-eddy simulation of the compressible flow past a tabbed cylinder显示文摘The compressible flow past a tabbed cylinder has been studied numerically using large-eddy simulation for a free-stream Mach number M∞=0.75 and a Reynolds number based on the diameter Re=2×105. Because of the passive control of the flow past a tabbed cylinder, the mean drag coefficient of tabbed cylinder is less than that of a corresponding circular cylinder with a drag reduction up to 33%. The fluctuating lift coefficient is greatly suppressed to be nearly zero. Drag reduction due to the shearing process prevails over that due to the compressing process in this flow. Through investigating the mechanisms relevant to passive control of the tab, it is found that suppression of the shear layer instability can lead to a higher-base-pressure distribution, which can reasonably be associated with drag reduction and suppression of the lift fluctuations. 6Applying DNA Barcoding to Identify Actinidia in the Northeast of China显示文摘Identification of kiwifruit germplasm materials is the basis of protecting and utilizing these resources. However,identifying Actinidia arguta varieties based on morphology is difficult,especially for non-specialists. In this study,we collected 180 specimens comprising 60 varieties of three species( A. arguta,A. kolomikta,and A. polygama) from the Northeast of China. The emphasis of our study was on the feasibility of identifying A. arguta varieties. Here,we used common analysis methods( genetic distance,phylogenetic analysis and the DNA barcoding gap) and SNPs analysis to evaluate the discriminatory power of different DNA barcoding markers. The results revealed that common methods were insufficient to identify A. arguta varieties but SNPs analysis based on DNA barcoden was the potential method for identifying A. arguta varieties. 8VqMYB154 promotes polygene expression and enhances resistance to pathogens in Chinese wild grapevine显示文摘Resveratrol plays a crucial phytoalexin role in the grapevine and is beneficial to human health.However,the molecular mechanism of resveratrol accumulation in the enhancement of disease resistance is unclear.Here,we report that the transcription factor VqMYB154 from Vitis quinquangularis accession Danfeng-2 is strongly expressed under artificial inoculation with Uncinula necator and regulates resveratrol accumulation.Unlike its homolog,VqMYB154 has a pathogen-induced promoter and responds to stimulation by U.necator,Pseudomonas syringae,and other treatments.Yeast one-hybrid and GUS activity assays confirmed that VqMYB154 can activate the stilbene synthase genes VqSTS9,VqSTS32,and VqSTS42 by directly binding to their promoters.Overexpression of VqMYB154 in grape leaves resulted in activation of the stilbene pathway,upregulation of STS genes,and accumulation of stilbenoids.In addition,heterologous overexpression of VqMYB154 in Arabidopsis activated resistance-related genes and resulted in greater programmed cell death and accumulation of reactive oxygen species,which led to resistance against P.syringae.These results suggest that the transcription factor VqMYB154 from V.quinquangularis accession Danfeng-2 participates in the regulatory mechanism that improves the biosynthesis and accumulation of stilbenes and enhances resistance to disease in grapevine.Changyue Jiang Dan Wang Jie Zhang Yan Xu Chaohong Zhang Jianxia Zhang Xiping Wang Yuejin Wang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2

10Investigation on Upconversion Luminescence of Tm^(3+)/Yb^(3+)-Codoped Oxychloride Tellurite Glasses显示文摘Tm 3+/Yb 3+-codoped oxychloride tellurite glasses were prepared. Thermal stability, Raman spectra and upconversion luminescence spectra were studied, and upconversion luminescence mechanisms were analyzed. The results show that the intense blue and relatively weak red emissions centered at 476 and 649 nm corresponding to the transitions 1G4→3H6 and 1G4→3H4 of Tm 3+, respectively, were simultaneously observed at room temperature under 980 nm LD excitation. 15Diversity of oligotrich ciliates(Ciliophora, Spirotrichea) in the northern coast of South China Sea as revealed in LSU rDNA sequences显示文摘Although the taxonomy of oligotrich ciliates has been widely investigated,yet the species diversity remains poorly known.We newly designed a pair of oligotrich-specific LSU rDNA primers covering the 600-bp D1/D2 region,and it was effective for detecting oligotrich species.Using the primers,we constructed the cloning libraries to investigate the species diversity of oligotrichs in the northern coastal waters of the South China Sea.In total,165 oligotrich sequences were obtained from five widely separated sampling sites.Sixty operational taxonomic units(OTUs)were obtained at 99%similarity threshold,and low-abundance OTUs with no more than two sequences contributed most of these(about 78%).Our findings are consistent with previous morphological studies,Strombidium was found the most abundant and widely distributed genus in this area.In addition,the BLAST search in the NCBI database resulted in 95%OTUs matching with named oligotrich species in similarity below 99%.Therefore,oligotrich morphospecies diversity has been underestimated as low-abundance species,and the LSU rDNA oligotrich sequence database needs to be better promoted.LU Kaihui LIU Weiwei Alan WARREN XU Yusen ZHU Changyu ZHAO Yan YI Zhenzhen 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,1:1
16Shock-Wave/Rail-Fasteners Interaction for Two Rocket Sleds in the Supersonic Flow Regime显示文摘Rocket sleds belong to a category of large-scale test platforms running on the ground.The applications can be found in many fields,such as aerospace engineering,conventional weapons,and civil high-tech products.In the present work,shock-wave/rail-fasteners interaction is investigated numerically when the rocket sled is in supersonic flow conditions.Two typical rocket sled models are considered,i.e.,an anti-D shaped version of the rocket sled and an axisymmetric slender-body variant.The dynamics for Mach number 2 have been simulated in the framework of a dynamic mesh method.The emerging shock waves can be categorized as head-shock,tailing-shock and reflected-shock.An unsteady large-scale vortex and related shock dynamics have been found for the anti-D shaped rocket sled.However,a quasi-steady flow state exists for the slender-body shaped rocket sled.It indicates that the axisymmetric geometry is more suitable for the effective production of rocket sleds.With the help of power spectral density analysis,we have also determined the characteristic frequencies related to shock-wave/rail-fasteners interaction.Furthermore,a harmonic phenomenon has been revealed,which is intimately related to a shock wave reflection mechanism.Bin Wang Jing Zheng Yuanyuan Yu Runmin Lv Changyue Xu 2020Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2020,16,4:0
17Three-dimensional numerical simulation of a vortex ring impacting a bump显示文摘A vortex ring impinging on a three-dimensional bump is studied using large eddy simulation for a Reynolds number Re = 4 × 104based on the initial translation speed and diameter of the vortex ring. The effects of bump height on the vortical flow phenomena and the underlying physical mechanisms are investigated. Based on the analysis of the evolution of vortical structures, two typical kinds of vortical structures, i.e., the wrapping vortices and the hair-pin vortices,are identified and play an important role in the flow state evolution. The circulation of the primary vortex ring reasonably elucidates some typical phases of flow evolution. 18Synthesis and evaluation of poly(N-vinyl caprolactam)-co-tert-butyl acrylate as kinetic hydrate inhibitor显示文摘Low dosage kinetic hydrate inhibitors(KHIs)are a kind of alternative chemical additives to high dosage thermodynamic inhibitors for preventing gas hydrate formation in oil&gas production wells and transportation pipelines.In this paper,a new KHI,poly(N-vinyl caprolactam)-co-tert-butyl acrylate(PVCapco-TBA),was successfully synthesized with N-vinyl caprolactam(NVCap)and tert-butyl acrylate.The kinetic inhibition performances of PVCap-co-TBA on the formations of both structureⅠmethane hydrate and structureⅡnatural gas hydrate were investigated by measuring the onset times of hydrate formation under different conditions and compared with commercial KHIs such as PVP,PVCap and inhibex 501.The results indicated that PVCap-co-TBA outperformed these widely applied inhibitors for both structureⅠand structureⅡhydrates.At the same dosage of KHI,the maximum tolerable degree of subcooling under which the onset time of hydrate formation exceeded 24 hours for structureⅠhydrate was much lower than that for structureⅡhydrate.The inhibition strength increased with the increasing dosage of PVCap-co-TBA;The maximum tolerable degree of subcooling for the natural gas hydrate is more than10 K when the dosage was higher than 0.5%(mass)while it achieved 12 K when that dosage rose to0.75%(mass).Additionally,we found polypropylene glycol could be used as synergist at the dosage of 1.0%(mass)or so,under which the kinetic inhibition performance of PVCap-co-TBA could be improved significantly.All evaluation results demonstrated that PVCap-co-TBA was a very promising KHI and a competitive alternative to the existing commercial KHIs.Xing Huang Ran Zhu Liwei Cheng Yijian Zhu Peng Xiao Xiaohui Wang Bei Liu Changyu Sun Weixin Pang Qingping Li Guangjin Chen Xinjing Xu Jinfeng Ji 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,10:0
19Deep learning of DEM image texture for landform classification in the Shandong area,China显示文摘Landforms are an important element of natural geographical environment,and textures are the research basis for the spatial differentiation,evolution features,and analysis rules of the landform.Using the regional difference of texture to describe the spatial distribution pattern of macro landform features is helpful to the landform classification and identification.Digital elevation model(DEM)image texture,which gives full expression to texture difference,is key data source to reflect the surface features and landform classification.Following the texture analysis,landform features analysis is assistant to different landforms classification,even in landform boundary.With the increasing accuracy requirement of landform information acquisition in geomorphic thematic mapping,hierarchical landform classification has become the focus and difficulty in research.Recently,the pattern recognition represented by Convolutional Neural Network has made great achievements in landform research,whose multichannel feature fusion structure satisfies the network structure of different landform classification.In this paper,DEM image texture was taken as the data source,and gray level co-occurrence matrix was applied to extract texture measures.Owing to the similarity of similar landform and the difference of different landform in a certain scale,a comprehensive texture factor reflecting landform features was proposed,and the spatial distribution pattern of landform features was systematically analyzed.On this basis,the coupling relationship between texture and landform type was explored.Thus,the deep learning method of Convolutional Neural Network is used to train the texture features,and the second-class landform classification is carried out through softmax.The classification results in small relief and mid-relief low mountains,overall accuracy are 84.35%and 69.95%respectively,while kappa coefficient are 0.72 and 0.40 respectively,were compared to that of traditional unsupervised landform classification results,and the superiority of Convolutional Neural Network classification was verified,it approximately improved 6%in overall accuracy and 0.4 in kappa coefficient.Yuexue XU Hongchun ZHU Changyu HU Haiying LIU Yu CHENG 2022Frontiers of Earth Science2022,16,2:0
