Noise Reduction for Images with Non-uniform Noise Using Adaptive Block Matching 3D Filtering显示文摘Noise reduction is a very important topic in image processing. We propose a new method to deal with the case where the noisy image has different noise levels in different regions. The main idea is to segment automatically the noisy image into several sub-images so that each sub-image has approximately the same noise level. We perform Block matching 3D filtering(BM3D) to these subimages in order to obtain denoised sub-images. We then merge sub-images together and enhance the discontinuous regions between the sub-images by performing BM3D again on small image patches. Our experimental results show the effectiveness of this proposed method in terms of Peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR) when compared with the bivariate wavelet shrinkage and the standard BM3D method. In addition to Gaussian white noise, our method performs better than the bivariate wavelet shrinkage and the standard BM3D method even for signal dependent noise. | CHEN Guangyi LUO Guangchun TIAN Ling CHEN Aiguo | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2017,26,6: | 4

Comparison of diagnostic accuracy between ^(18)F-FDG PET and PET/CT for pulmonary neoplasm显示文摘Aimed at comparing diagnostic accuracy of 18F-FDG PET with PET/CT for pulmonary neoplasm, a study based on multi-center clinical trial of the diagnoses, in randomized and semi-blind ways, was executed from January 2006 to June 2007. It included 55 patients, i.e. 16 with histopathologically proved lung tumors, 16 with tuberculosis and 23 with benign lesions (inflammation, pseudotumor, granuloma, fibrosis and others). The histopathologic and clinic results were served as reference standard. Statistical significances in pulmonary nodule diagnosis between 18F-FDG PET and PET/CT were determined with 95% confidence interval obtained by ROC analysis. The 18F-FDG PET detected lung neoplasm with a sensitivity of 87.5% (14/16), a specificity of 59.0% (23/39), an accuracy of 67.3% (37/55) and a positive-likelihood ratio of 2.13. The 18F-FDG PET/CT detected lung neoplasm with a sensitivity of 93.8% (15/16), a specificity of 61.5% (24/39), an accuracy of 70.9% (39/55) and a positive-likelihood ratio of 2.43. The area under curves (AUC) of 18F-FDG PET and PET/CT were 0.803±0.068 and 0.799±0.063, respectively. It can be concluded that the diagnostic accuracy for malignant pulmonary nodules between 18F-FDG PET and PET/CT was not statistically different. | CHEN Yangchun CHEN Ping TIAN Jiahe CAI Xin YE Guangchun DENG Huaifu YANG Xiaofeng | 2009 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2009,20,1: | 2

Positive allosteric regulation of PAC1-R up-regulates PAC1-R and its specific ligand PACAP显示文摘PAC1-R is a recognized preferential receptor for the neuropeptide of pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide(PACAP),which mediates neuroprotective and nerve regenerative activities of PACAP.In this study,we found that in both PAC1R-CHO cells with high expression of PAC1R-eGFP and retinal ganglion cells(RGC-5)with the natural expression of PAC1-R,oligo-peptide PACAP(28-38)and the positively charged arginine-rich penetrating peptide TAT,as positive allosteric modulators of PAC1-R,significantly trigger the nuclear translocation of PAC1-R.The chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP)-PCR results show that the nuclear translocated PAC1-R binds with the promoter regions of PAC1-R and its specific ligand PACAP.The up-regulated promoter activities of PAC1-R and PACAP induced by PACAP(28-38)or TAT are positively correlative with the increase of the expression levels of PAC1-R and PACAP.Moreover, the nuclear translocation of PAC1-R induced by PACAP(28-38)or TAT is significantly inhibited by the mutation of PAC1-R on Cys25 and the palmitoylation inhibitor 2-bromopalmitate.Meanwhile,the increase in both PAC1-R and PACAP levels and the neuroprotective activities of PACAP(28-38)and TAT in MPPinduced cell model of Parkinson’s disease are synchronously inhibited by 2-bromopalmitate,which are positively correlated with the nuclear translocation of PAC1-R induced by PACAP(28-38)or TAT.Bioinformatics analysis and motif enrichment analysis following ChIP-sequencing show that the transcription factors including SP1,Zic2,GATA1,REST and YY1 may be recruited by nuclear PAC1-R and involved in regulating the promoter activities of PAC1-R and PACAP.ChIP-sequencing and related bioinformatics analysis show that the downstream target genes regulated by the nuclear PAC1-R are mostly involved in the process of cellular stress and related to neuroprotection, neuronal genesis and development. | Guangchun Fan Zhengxin Tao Shang Chen Huahua Zhang Rongjie Yu | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,5: | 1

HCOS:A Unified Model and Architecture for Cloud Operating System显示文摘Currently, Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS) and Platform as a Service(PaaS) platforms play a role as a cloud operating system(COS).They are separated from each other in resource management, which may cause inconsistent resource status and result in the decrease of performance. Moreover, heterogeneous resources are not managed well in existing cloud computing platforms. Referring to the theory of operating system, we propose a unified architecture model of cloud operating system, which has six layers corresponding to the layered architecture of legacy operating system. Based on this architecture, a new cloud operating system called Hua-Cloud Computing System(HCOS) is realized. In HCOS, the hybrid resources are managed in a unified way. This method improves the unified scheduling capability of heterogeneous resources and eliminates the problem of resource status inconsistency. The main characteristics of HCOS are introduced and two typical applications are illustrated in this paper. | CHEN Aiguo WU Huaigu TIAN Ling LUO Guangchun | 2017 | ZTE Communications2017,15,4: | 0
Cytoplasmic YAP1-mediated ESCRT-III assembly promotes autophagic cell death and is ubiquitinated by NEDD4L in breast cancer显示文摘Background:Nuclear Yes1-associated transcriptional regulator(YAP1)promotes tumor progression. However, the function of cytoplasmic YAP1 in breast cancer cells and its impact on the survival of breast cancer patients remain unclear. Our research aimed to explore the biological function of cytoplasmic YAP1 in breast cancer cells and the possibility of cytoplasmic YAP1 as a predictive marker of breast cancer survival. Methods:We constructed cell mutant models, including NLS-YAP15SA(nuclear localized),YAP1S94A(incapable of binding to the TEA domain transcription factor family)and YAP1S127D(cytoplasmic localized),and used Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)assays,5-ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine(EdU)incorporation assays, and Western blotting(WB)analysis to detect cell proliferation and apoptosis. The specific mechanism of cytoplasmic YAP1-mediated endosomal sorting complexes required for transport III(ESCRT-III)assembly was studied by co-immunoprecipitation,immunofluorescence staining, and WB analysis.Epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)was used to simulate YAP1 retention in the cytoplasm in in vitro and in vivo experiments to study the function of cytoplasmic YAP1.YAP1 binding to NEDD4-like E3 ubiquitin protein ligase(NEDD4L)was identified using mass spectrometry and was verified in vitro.Breast tissue microarrays were used to analyze the relationship between cytoplasmic YAP1 expression and the survival of breast cancer patients.Results:YAP1 was mainly expressed in the cytoplasm in breast cancer cells.Cytoplasmic YAP1 promoted autophagic death of breast cancer cells.Cytoplasmic YAP1 bound to the ESCRT-III complex subunits charged multivesicular body protein 2B(CHMP2B)and vacuolar protein sorting 4 homolog B(VPS4B),promoting assembly of CHMP2B-VPS4B and activating autophagosome formation.EGCG retained YAP1 in the cytoplasm, promoting the assembly of CHMP2B-VPS4B to promote autophagic death of breast cancer cells.YAP1 bound to NEDD4L,and NEDD4L mediated ubiquitination and degradation of YAP1.Breast tissue microarrays revealed that high levels of cytoplasmic YAP1 were beneficial to the survival of breast cancer patients. Conclusions:Cytoplasmic YAP1 mediated autophagic death of breast cancer cells by promoting assembly of the ESCRT-III complex;furthermore,we established a new breast cancer survival prediction model based on cytoplasmic YAP1 expression. | Yan Guo Yuqing Cui Yangyang Li Xiaoying Jin Dandan Wang Mengxia Lei Fengzhi Chen Yali Liu Jinwen Xu Guanyu Yao Guangchun Zeng Xuesong Chen | 2023 | Cancer Communications2023,43,5: | 0
Cross-Dimension Attentive Feature Fusion Network for Unsupervised Time-Series Anomaly Detection显示文摘Time series anomaly detection is crucial in various industrial applications to identify unusual behaviors within the time series data.Due to the challenges associated with annotating anomaly events, time series reconstruction has become a prevalent approach for unsupervised anomaly detection. However, effectively learning representations and achieving accurate detection results remain challenging due to the intricate temporal patterns and dependencies in real-world time series. In this paper,we propose a cross-dimension attentive feature fusion network for time series anomaly detection, referred to as CAFFN.Specifically,a series and feature mixing block is introduced to learn representations in 1D space.Additionally,a fast Fourier transform is employed to convert the time series into 2D space, providing the capability for 2D feature extraction. Finally,a cross-dimension attentive feature fusion mechanism is designed that adaptively integrates features across different dimensions for anomaly detection.Experimental results on real-world time series datasets demonstrate that CAFFN performs better than other competing methods in time series anomaly detection. | Rui Wang Yao Zhou Guangchun Luo Peng Chen Dezhong Peng | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,139,6: | 0
Global population estimate and conservation gap analysis for the Nordmann's Greenshank(Tringa guttifer)显示文摘Nordmann's Greenshank(Tringa guttifer)is a globally endangered species that has received little research attention. It is threatened by rapid habitat loss,an incomplete network of protected sites, and lack of long-term data on population dynamics.Citizen science data can be combined with survey data to support population estimation and conservation gap analysis. From 2020 to 2021,Nordmann's Greenshank was surveyed in Tiaozini,Xiaoyangkou, and Dongling on the southern coast of Jiangsu Province,China, and the global population of the species was re-evaluated using the data obtained. We integrated citizen science data from eBird and the China Bird Report from 2000 to 2020 with the survey results to identify important habitats harboring over 1%of its total population, and compared this data with existing protected areas to identify gaps in its global conservation. Our survey found that Tiaozini supported at least 1194 individuals.Consequently, its global population was reestimated to be 1500-2000.Moreover,45 important habitats were identified based on citizen data and survey results.Although 44.4%and 50.0%of the priority sites in the world and China, respectively, are located outside protected areas, the Conservation Effectiveness Index(C)is 68.4%and 71.1%,respectively,showing that the current coverage of protected areas for this part of its range is reasonable. This study presents the most complete and recent population data to date.Tiaozini is the most important migration stopover site for Nordmann's Greenshanks. The species is under threat in terms of breeding, wintering, and stopover sites. Therefore,we suggest improving monitoring, establishing new protected sites to complete the habitat protection network, and improving the effectiveness of existing habitat protection strategies, including further developing high tide roosting sites. | Ranxing Cao Waner Liang Jia Guo Hongyan Yang Lili Sun Qing Chen Tao Yu Sicheng Ren Cai Lu Guangchun Lei Yifei Jia | 2023 | Avian Research2023,14,2: | 0
Difference in metapopulation structure and dynamics of two species of coexistent melitaeine butterflies显示文摘According to investigation on two species of melitaeine butterflies in Yanjiaping Village, Chicheng County, Hebei Province, China, between 1998—2002, to-gether with the use of 1︰10000 contour map of the local area, some conclusions are shown by the SPSS and GIS analysis of data obained from GPS: (1) The two species of melitaeine butterflies have different metapopulation struc-tures. M. phoebe is a source-sink metapopulation, while E. aurinia is a classical metapopulation, supporting the analytic result from our former genetic research. (2) The two species of melitaeine butterflies exhibit different trends of popula-tion dynamics. M. phoebe source-sink metapopulation is very unsteady, and is always small, thus has a tendency to go ex-tinct gradually. But E. aurinia classical metapopulation is stable, and has maintained a larger population size. There-fore, it stands a better chance of long-term survival. (3) The two species of melitaeine butterflies are significantly related in both patch occupancy and local population size. (4) The effect of isolation is significant on the metapopulations of these two species of melitaeine butterflies, consistent with the classical theories, whereas the effect of patch area is not sig-nificant on the metapopulations of these two species of meli-taeine butterflies, which is inconsistent with the classical theories. Therefore, other factors, such as habitat quality, should be considered for their influences on metapopula-tions. | WANG Yifei CHEN Jiejun WANG Rongjiang LEI Guangchun XU Rumei | 2003 | Chinese Science Bulletin2003,48,12: | 0
A novel small positive allosteric modulator of neuropeptide receptor PAC1-R exerts neuroprotective effects in MPTP mouse Parkinson's disease model显示文摘As a neuropeptide pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide(PACAP)-preferring receptor,PAC1-R mediates effective neuroprotective activity.Based on the finding that the antibiotic doxycycline(DOX)with clinical neuroprotective activity functions as a positive allosteric modulator(PAM)of neuropeptide PACAP receptor 1(PAC1-R),we use virtual and laboratory screening to search for novel small molecule PAMs of PAC1-R.Virtual screening is carried out using a small-molecule library TargetMol.After two-level precision screening with Glide, the top five compounds with the best predicted affinities for PAC1-R are selected and named small positive allosteric modulator 1-5(SPAM1-5).Our results show that only 4-[4-(4-Oxo-3,4-2-yl)butanamido]methyl)benzoic acid(SPAM1)has stronger neuroprotective activity than DOX in the MPP+PD cell model and MPTP PD mouse model.SPAM1 has a higher affinity for PAC1-R than DOX,but has no antibiotic activity. Moreover, both SPAM1 and DOX block the decrease of PAC1-R level in mouse brain tissues induced by MPTP.The successful screening of SPAM1 offers a novel drug for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease targeting the PAC1-R. | Guangchun Fan Shang Chen Zhengxin Tao Huahua Zhang Rongjie Yu | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9: | 0
Contact Stress Reliability Analysis Model for Cylindrical Gear with Circular Arc Tooth Trace Based on an Improved Metamodel显示文摘Although there is currently no unified standard theoretical formula for calculating the contact stress of cylindrical gears with a circular arc tooth trace(referred to as CATT gear),a mathematical model for determining the contact stress of CATT gear is essential for studying how parameters affect its contact stress and building the contact stress limit state equation for contact stress reliability analysis. In this study,a mathematical relationship between design parameters and contact stress is formulated using the KrigingMetamodel. To enhance the model’s accuracy,we propose a new hybrid algorithm that merges the genetic algorithm with the Quantum Particle Swarm optimization algorithm, leveraging the strengths of each.Additionally, the“parental inheritance+self-learning”optimization model is used to fine-tune the KrigingMetamodel’s parameters.Following this, amathematicalmodel for calculating the contact stress of Variable Hyperbolic Circular-Arc-Tooth-Trace(VH-CATT)gears using the optimized Kriging model was developed. We then examined how different gear parameters affect the VH-CATT gears’contact stress. Our simulation results show:(1)Improvements in R2,RMSE,and RMAE.R2 rose from0.9852 to 0.9974(a 1.22%increase),nearing 1,suggesting the optimized Kriging Metamodel’s global error is minimized.Meanwhile,RMSE dropped from3.9210 to 1.6492,a decline of 57.94%.The global error of the GA-IQPSO-Kriging algorithm was also reduced, with RMAE decreasing by 58.69%from 0.1823 to 0.0753,showing the algorithm’s enhanced precision. In a comparison of ten experimental groups selected randomly, the GA-IQPSO-Kriging and FEM-based contact analysis methods were used to measure contact stress. Results revealed a maximum error of 12.11667 MPA,which represents 2.85%of the real value.(2)Several factors, including the pressure angle, tooth width, modulus, and tooth line radius, are inversely related to contact stress. The descending order of their impact on the contact stress is:tooth line radius>modulus>pressure angle>tooth width.(3)Complex interactions are noted among various parameters.Specifically, when the tooth line radius interacts with parameters such as pressure angle, tooth width, and modulus, the resulting stress contour is nonlinear, showcasing amultifaceted contour plane. However, when tooth width, modulus, and pressure angle interact, the stress contour is nearly linear, and the contour plane is simpler, indicating a weaker coupling among these factors. | Qi Zhang Zhixin Chen Yang Wu Guoqi Xiang Guang Wen Xuegang Zhang Yongchun Xie Guangchun Yang | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,140,7: | 0
