10Effect of Chlorine Salt on Durability of Mineral Admixture Concrete under Different Conditions显示文摘Mineral admixture concrete is a renewable material.It requires less cement than ordinary concrete and is thus beneficial for economical use of resources and environmental protection.To examine the impact of chloride salt on the durability of mineral admixture concrete under various conditions,in this study,test blocks are divided into two major groups:in one group,the test block is eroded by chloride salt on the interior and by sulphate/magnesium salts on the exterior,and in the second group,the test block is eroded by external chloride/sulphate/magnesium salts.Clean water is considered the control group.Dry-wet alternation tests are carried out to investigate the mechanical properties,mass,macromorphology,and ion content of the concrete.Furthermore,a series of methods,such as XRD,FT-IR,SEM,and EDS,are adopted to examine the phase composition and micromorphology of the concrete.The results show that,for the concrete subjected to the corrosion of internal chloride salt and external sulphate/magnesium salts(0–20 cycles),its mechanical properties improve slowly at the initial stage,but at the final stage(80–120 cycles),it is subjected to more severe corrosion compared to those only eroded by a single corrosive ion,such as the chloride/sulfate/magnesium salts.For concretes subjected to external corrosion of chloride/sulphate/magnesium salts,the concrete durability enhances with the concentration increase of the chloride salt.Mg^(2+)and SO_(4)^(2-)could jointly result in destructive damage to the admixture concrete,main generating corrosion products of ettringite,gypsum,Mg(OH)2,thaumasite,and M-S-H.Xupeng Chen Zhuowen Sun Jianyong Pang 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,9:0
11Rice OsUBR7 modulates plant height by regulating histone H2B monoubiquitination and cell proliferation显示文摘Plant height is an important agronomic trait for lodging resistance and yield.Here,we report a new plantheight-related gene,OsUBR7 in rice(Oryza sativa L.);knockout of OsUBR7 caused fewer cells in internodes,resulting in a semi-dwarf phenotype.OsUBR7 encodes a putative E3 ligase containing a plant homeodomain finger and a ubiquitin protein ligase E3 component N-recognin 7(UBR7)domain.OsUBR7 interacts with histones and monoubiquitinates H2B(H2Bub1)at lysine148 in coordination with the E2 conjugase OsUBC18.OsUBR7 mediates H2Bub1 at a number of chromatin loci for the normal expression of target genes,including cell-cycle-related and pleiotropic genes,consistent with the observation that cell-cycle progression was suppressed in the osubr7 mutant owing to reductions in H2Bub1 and expression levels at these loci.The genetic divergence of OsUBR7 alleles among japonica and indica cultivars affects their transcriptional activity,and these alleles may have undergone selection during rice domestication.Overall,our results reveal a novel mechanism that mediates H2Bub1 in plants,and UBR7 orthologs could be utilized as an untapped epigenetic resource for crop improvement.Yangyi Zheng Sensen Zhang Yanqiu Luo Fuquan Li Jiantao Tan Bin Wang Zhe Zhao Huifang Lin Tingting Zhang Jianhong Liu Xupeng Liu Jingxin Guo Xianrong Xie Letian Chen Yao-Guang Liu Zhizhan Chu 2022Plant Communications2022,3,6:0

13Clinical significance,molecular characterization,and immune microenvironment analysis of coagulation-related genes in clear cell renal cell carcinoma显示文摘Background:Numerous studies have revealed a tight connection between tumor development and the coagulation system.However,the effects of coagulation on the prognosis and tumor microenvironment(TME)of clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC)remain poorly understood.Methods:We employed the consensus clustering method to characterize distinct molecular subtypes associated with coagulation patterns.Subsequently,we examined variations in the overall survival(OS),genomic profiles,and TME characteristics between these subtypes.To develop a prognostic coagulation-related risk score(CRRS)model,we utilized the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Cox regression and stepwise multivariate Cox regression analyses.We also created a nomogram to aid in the clinical application of the risk score,evaluating the relationships between the CRRS and the immune microenvironment,responsiveness to immunotherapy,and targeted treatment.The clinical significance of PLAUR and its biological function in ccRCC were also further analyzed.Results:There were significant differences in clinical features,prognostic stratification,genomic variation,and TME characteristics between the two coagulation-related subtypes.We established and validated a CRRS using six coagulation-related genes that can be employed as an effective indicator of risk stratification and prognosis estimation for ccRCC patients.Significant variations in survival outcomes were observed between the high-and low-risk groups.The nomogram was proficient in predicting the 1-,3-,and 5-year OS.Additionally,the CRRS emerged as a novel tool for evaluating the clinical effectiveness of immunotherapy and targeted treatments in ccRCC.Moreover,we confirmed upregulated PLAUR expression in ccRCC samples that was significantly correlated with poor patient prognosis.PLAUR knockdown notably inhibited ccRCC cell proliferation and migration.Conclusion:Our data suggested that CRRS may be employed as a reliable predictive biomarker that can provide therapeutic benefits for immunotherapy and targeted therapy in ccRCC.Weihao Chen Xupeng Zhao Yongliang Lu Hanfeng Wang Xiyou Wang Yi Wang Chen Liang Zhuomin Jia Wei Ma 2024Cancer Innovation2024,3,1:0
14Degree of ontogenetic diet shift and trophic niche partitioning of Euphausia superba and Thysanoessa macrura are influenced by food availability显示文摘Euphausia superba and Thysanoessa macrura are dominant krill species in the Southern Ocean and their habitats are often overlapped reportedly.Studies of the feeding strategies of these two krill species will help us better understand the coexistence mechanisms and estimate the roles that krill played in the food web of the Southern Ocean.The trophodynamics of E.superba and T.macrura at different ontogenetic stages(furcilia,juvenile,adult)were studied using fatty acid and stable isotope biomarkers in the samples collected in Amundsen Sea during austral summer of 2017/2018 and 2018/2019.Diatoms like Fragilariopsis spp.was the most abundant phytoplankton species in the summer of 2017/2018,while the abundance of phytoplankton in the summer of 2018/2019 was dominated by Phaeocystis sp.The gradual increase of the carnivorous index 18꞉1n-9/18꞉1n-7 with ontogeny of both species in 2018/2019 indicated more carnivorous feeding of adults compared with juveniles and larvae.Meanwhile,greaterδ15N values of T.macrura than that of E.superba were more significant in the juvenile and adult stages during the summer of 2018/2019.Our results indicate that the trophic niche differentiation between the two krill species appeared in postlarval stage and can be influenced by food availability.Compared with E.superba,T.macrura was more prone to feed omnivorously or carnivorously responding to food availability.Zhipeng PANG Xupeng CHI Zhihui SONG Haibo LI Yunyan CHEN Guang YANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,3:0
15Numerical investigation of film forming characteristics and mass transfer enhancement in horizontal polycondensation kettle显示文摘The process of producing high viscosity polyester by transesterification polycondensation needs to adjust the operating conditions and equipment structure of pre-polycondensation kettle and final polycondensation kettle to realize process intensification.In view of this,the fluid volume function method of computational fluid dynamics numerical simulation was used to investigate the film formation and surface renewal characteristics of horizontal polycondensation kettle under different operating conditions,including viscosity,rotating speed and liquid height.The results show that the viscosity and rotating speed were positively correlated with the film area and surface renewal in the pre-polycondensation stage.However,increasing the viscosity by several orders of magnitude in the final polycondensation kettle,the larger the film area and film thickness,but the overall surface renewal of the disk decreased.Therefore,a hexagonal hole disk is designed.By comparison,it is found that the film is more uniform,the surface update frequency is higher,and the power consumption can be reduced by more than 20%.Xupeng Chen Jintao Wu Jianfei Sun Kunpeng Yu Jianzhong Yin 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,63,11:0
16Lin28a maintains a subset of adult muscle stem cells in an embryonic-like state显示文摘During homeostasis and after injury,adult muscle stem cells(MuSCs)activate to mediate muscle regeneration.However,much remains unclear regarding the heterogeneous capacity of MuSCs for self-renewal and regeneration.Here,we show that Lin28a is expressed in embryonic limb bud muscle progenitors,and that a rare reserve subset of Lin28a^(+)Pax7^(-)skeletal MuSCs can respond to injury at adult stage by replenishing the Pax7^(+)MuSC pool to drive muscle regeneration.Compared with adult Pax7^(+)MuSCs,Lin28a^(+)MuSCs displayed enhanced myogenic potency in vitro and in vivo upon transplantation.The epigenome of adult Lin28a^(+)MuSCs showed resemblance to embryonic muscle progenitors.In addition,RNA-sequencing revealed that Lin28a^(+)MuSCs co-expressed higher levels of certain embryonic limb bud transcription factors,telomerase components and the p53 inhibitor Mdm4,and lower levels of myogenic differentiation markers compared to adult Pax7^(+)MuSCs,resulting in enhanced self-renewal and stress-response signatures.Functionally,conditional ablation and induction of Lin28a^(+)MuSCs in adult mice revealed that these cells are necessary and sufficient for efficient muscle regeneration.Together,our findings connect the embryonic factor Lin28a to adult stem cell self-renewal and juvenile regeneration.Peng Wang Xupeng Liu Ziyue Yao Yu Chen Lanfang Luo Kun Liang Jun-Hao Elwin Tan Min-Wen Jason Chua Yan-Jiang Benjamin Chua Shilin Ma Liping Zhang Wenwu Ma Shuqing Liu Wenhua Cao Luyao Guo Lu Guang Yuefan Wang He Zhao Na Ai Yun Li Chunwei Li Ruiqi Rachel Wang Bin Tean Teh Lan Jiang Kang Yu Ng Shyh-Chang 2023Cell Research2023,33,9:0
17Differential Evolution-Boosted Sine Cosine Golden Eagle Optimizer with Lévy Flight显示文摘Golden eagle optimizer(GEO)is a recently introduced nature-inspired metaheuristic algorithm,which simulates the spiral hunting behavior of golden eagles in nature.Regrettably,the GEO suffers from the challenges of low diversity,slow iteration speed,and stagnation in local optimization when dealing with complicated optimization problems.To ameliorate these deficiencies,an improved hybrid GEO called IGEO,combined with Lévy flight,sine cosine algorithm and differential evolution(DE)strategy,is developed in this paper.The Lévy flight strategy is introduced into the initial stage to increase the diversity of the golden eagle population and make the initial population more abundant;meanwhile,the sine-cosine function can enhance the exploration ability of GEO and decrease the possibility of GEO falling into the local optima.Furthermore,the DE strategy is used in the exploration and exploitation stage to improve accuracy and convergence speed of GEO.Finally,the superiority of the presented IGEO are comprehensively verified by comparing GEO and several state-of-the-art algorithms using(1)the CEC 2017 and CEC 2019 benchmark functions and(2)5 real-world engineering problems respectively.The comparison results demonstrate that the proposed IGEO is a powerful and attractive alternative for solving engineering optimization problems.Gang Hu Liuxin Chen Xupeng Wang Guo Wei 2022Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,6:0
