| 2 | Application of Numerical Simulation for Analysis of Sinking Characteristics of Purse Seine显示文摘This study applies the mass-spring system to model the dynamic behavior of a submerged net panel similar to the shooting process in actual purse seine fishing operation. Modeling indicates that there is insufficient stretching with the net panel under the floatline in the prophase of the shooting process. Sinkers at different locations along the leadline descend successively after submergence, and the sinking speed decreases gradually with elapsed time until attainment of a stable state. Designs with different current speeds and sinker weights are executed to determine the dimensional shape and sinking characteristics of the net. The net rigged with greater sinker weight gains significantly greater sinking depth without water flow. Compared with the vertical spread of the net wall in static water, the middle part of the netting presents a larger displacement along the direction of current under flow condition. It follows that considerable deformation of the netting occurs with higher current speed as the sinkers affected by hydrodynamic force drift in the direction of current. The numerical model is verified by a comparison between simulated results and sea measurements. The calculated values generally coincide with the observed ones, with the former being slightly higher than the latter. | 3 | Preliminary Analysis of Diesel-Degrading Bacteria Immobilized on Organic Carriers in Seawater显示文摘Oil pollution in marine environment is becoming increasingly serious. Oil bioremediation by immobilization technology has been widely studied. However, the effect of bacteria immobilization was limited because of lack of nutrients. In this paper, the organic materials(corn straw, corn cob and corn leaf) were used as carriers. The diesel removal rate achieved by the immobilized bacteria was studied, and the effects of nutrients(e.g. nitrogen and phosphorus) released from organic carriers to the immobilized bacteria were analyzed. Test results indicated that a certain amount of nutrients was released from organic carriers. Additionally, the diesel removal rates achieved by different immobilized bacteria were all higher than those achieved by free bacteria. And, the diesel removal rates achieved by bacteria decreased in the following order: bacteria immobilized on corn straw(79%), bacteria immobilized on corn leaf(70%) and bacteria immobilized on corn cob(43%). These findings indicated two aspects, viz.: the carriers porous structure and the nutrients, which were favorable to biodegradation. Finally, the changes in nitrogen and phosphorus contents that were released from different carriers during biodegradation were studied. The results showed that the rate of diesel biodegradation was fast in the initial phase because of the sufficient nutrients released from carriers. | 5 | Variation characteristics of atmospheric methane and carbon dioxide in summertime at a coastal site in the South China Sea显示文摘Methane(CH_(4))and carbon dioxide(CO_(2))are the two most important greenhouse gases(GHGs).To examine the variation characteristics of CH_(4)and CO_(2)in the coastal South China Sea,atmospheric CH_(4)and CO_(2)measurements were performed in Bohe(BH),Guangdong,China,in summer 2021.By using an adaptive data analysis method,the diurnal patterns of CH_(4)and CO_(2)were clearly extracted and analysed in relation to the sea breeze(SB)and land breeze(LB),respectively.The average concentrations of CH_(4)and CO_(2)were 1876.91±31.13 ppb and 407.99±4.24 ppm during SB,and 1988.12±109.92 ppb and 421.54±14.89 ppm during LB,respectively.The values of CH_(4)and CO_(2)during SB basically coincided with the values and trends of marine background sites,showing that the BH station could serve as an ideal site for background GHG monitoring and dynamic analysis.The extracted diurnal variations in CH_(4)and CO_(2)showed sunrise high and sunset low patterns(with peaks at 5:00–7:00)during LB but mid-morning high and evening low patterns(with peaks at 9:00)during SB.The diurnal amplitude changes in both CH_(4)and CO_(2)during LB were almost two to three times those during SB.Wind direction significantly modulated the diurnal variations in CH_(4)and CO_(2).The results in this study provide a new way to examine the variations in GHGs on different timescales and can also help us gain a better understanding of GHG sources and distributions in the South China Sea. | Yangyan Cheng Ye Shan Yuhuan Xue Yujiao Zhu Xinfeng Wang Likun Xue Yanguang Liu Fangli Qiao Min Zhang | 2022 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,11: | 1 |

| 8 | Translocation of IGF-1R in endoplasmic reticulum enhances SERCA2 activity to trigger Ca_(ER)^(2+)perturbation in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘The well-known insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF1)/IGF-1 receptor(IGF-1R)signaling pathway is overexpressed in many tumors,and is thus an attractive target for cancer treatment.However,results have often been disappointing due to crosstalk with other signals.Here,we report that IGF-1R signaling stimulates the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)cells through the translocation of IGF-1R into the ER to enhance sarco-endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 2(SERCA2)activity.In response to ligand binding,IGF-1Rβis translocated into the ER byβ-arrestin2(β-arr2).Mass spectrometry analysis identified SERCA2 as a target of ER IGF-1Rβ.SERCA2 activity is heavily dependent on the increase in ER IGF-1Rβlevels.ER IGF-1Rβphosphorylates SERCA2 on Tyr^(990)to enhance its activity.Mutation of SERCA2-Tyr^(990)disrupted the interaction of ER IGF-1Rβwith SERCA2,and therefore ER IGF-1Rβfailed to promote SERCA2 activity.The enhancement of SERCA2 activity triggered Ca_(ER)^(2+)perturbation,leading to an increase in autophagy.Thapsigargin blocked the interaction between SERCA2and ER IGF-1Rβand therefore SERCA2 activity,resulting in inhibition of HCC growth.In conclusion,the translocation of IGF-1R into the ER triggers Ca_(ER)^(2+)perturbation by enhancing SERCA2 activity through phosphorylating Tyr^(990)in HCC. | Yanan Li Keqin Li Ting Pan Qiaobo Xie Yuyao Cheng Xinfeng Wu Rui Xu Xiaohui Liu Li Liu Jiangming Gao Wenmin Yuan Xianjun Qu Shuxiang Cui | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,9: | 0 |
