1Effects of fan speed on spray deposition and drift for targeting air-assisted sprayer in pear orchard显示文摘In order to reduce the application dosage of pesticides,a targeting air-assisted(TAA)sprayer was developed and tested in this study.Fruit trees were assayed by an infrared detection system to determine if the canopy needs to be sprayed.This TAA sprayer was compared with conventional air-assisted(CAA)sprayers,and the impacts of various fan speeds(0,800 r/min,1300 r/min,and 1800 r/min)on spray deposition,coverage,and drift amount were tested.Ponceau 2R was used as tracer to measure spray deposition under each treatment.Droplet coverage and canopy deposition were best when the CAA application fan speed was increased to 1300 r/min,but at higher fan speeds,spray deposition and coverage in canopy did not increase because extra air flow blew droplets from the ground into the air.During TAA spraying,droplet sizes increased at opening and closing moments.Optimal spray effects were achieved when the auxiliary airflow velocity was increased at a fan speed of 1800 r/min.The research provides a useful reference for the design of TAA and parameters optimization method with respect to the relationship between droplets deposition into tree canopy,ground and drift in the air.Qiu Wei Zhao Sanqin Ding Weimin Sun Chengda Lu Jiang Li Yinian Gu Jiabing 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,4:12
2Combined effects of volume ratio and nitrate recycling ratio on nutrient removal,sludge characteristic and microbial evolution for DPR optimization显示文摘The optimization of volume ratio(V_(An)/V_(A)/V_(0))and nitrate recycling ratio(R)in a two-sludge denitrifying phosphorus removal(DPR)process of Anaerobic Anoxic Oxic-Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor(A^(2)/O-MBBR)was investigated.The results showed that prolonged anaerobic retention time(HRT An:1.25→3.75 hr)exerted favorable effect on chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal(57.26%→73.54%),poly-β-hydroxyalkanoates(PHA)synthesis(105.70→138.12 mg COD/L)and PO_(4)^(3-)release(22.3→38.9 mg/L).However,anoxic retention time(HRT A)and R exhibited positive correlation with PHA utilization(43.87%-81.34%)and denitrifying phosphorus removal(DPR)potential(NO_(3)-/PO^(3-)_(4):0.57-1.34 mg/mg),leading to dramatical TN removal variations from 68.86%to 81.28%.Under the V An/V A/V O ratio of 2:6:0,sludge loss deteriorated nutrient removals but the sludge bioactivity quickly recovered when the oxic zone was recovered.The sludge characteristic and microstructure gradually transformed under the dissolved oxygen(DO)control(1.0-1.5→1.5-2.0 mg/L),in terms of sludge volume index(SVI:194→57 m L/g VSS),median-particle-size(D 50:99.6→300.5μm),extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)(105.62→226.18 mg/g VSS)and proteins/polysaccharides(PN/PS)ratio(1.52→3.46).Fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)results showed that phosphorus accumulation organisms(PAOs)(mainly Cluster I of Accumulibacter,contribution ratio:91.79%-94.10%)dominated the superior DPR performance,while glycogen accumulating organisms(GAOs)(mainly Competibacter,contribution ratio:82.61%-86.89%)was responsible for deteriorative TN and PO_(4)^(3-)removals.The optimal HRT A and R assembled around 5-6.5 hr and 300%-400%based on the PHA utilization and DRP performance,and the oxic zones also contributed to PO_(4)^(3-)removal although it showed low dependence on DO concentration and oxic retention time(HRT_(0)).Miao Zhang Jing Gao Yajun Fan Xiaoge Wu Jun Wu Chengda He 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,6:6

4Enhanced CO catalytic oxidation by Sr reconstruction on the surface of LaxSr1-xCoO3-δ显示文摘Surface electronic structure of solid materials plays a critical role in heterogeneous catalysis. However,surface chemical composition of the perovskite oxides is usually dominated by segregated A-site cations and the amount of oxygen vacancies is relatively low, which seriously restricts their catalytic oxidation property. Here, we prepare perovskite La_xSr_(1-x)CoO_(3-δ)(x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.7) with different Sr doping amount and experiment results show that perovskite LSCO with higher content of surface Sr possesses more oxygen vacancies and better catalytic activity. On this basis, we develop a new experimental strategy to create more surface oxygen vacancies to promote their CO catalytic activity. In this method, we use high active hydrogen atoms(BH^(4-)) as reductant to realize surface in-situ chemical composite modification of La_xSr_(1-x)CoO_(3-δ)(x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.7), which causes their surface reconstruction(surface Sr enrichment).The regulation mainly focuses on the atomic layer level without damaging their bulk phase structure.Different from traditional high temperature annealing under reducing atmosphere, this method is high-efficiency, green and controllable. Furthermore, we study the surface reconstruction process and demonstrated that it is atomic layer engineering on the surface of La_xSr_(1-x)CoO_(3-δ)(x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.7) by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS). 5Machine learning-assisted systematical polymerization planning:case studies on reversible-deactivation radical polymerization显示文摘The combined influence of chemical composition,molecular weight(MW)and molecular weight distribution(D)on the functions and performances of polymeric materials necessitates simultaneous satisfaction of multidimensional requirements during polymer synthesis.However,the complexity of polymerization reactions often dissuades chemists when precisely accessing diversified polymer targets.Herein,we developed a machine learning(ML)-assisted systematical polymerization planning(SPP)platform for addressing this challenge.With ML model providing integrated navigation of the reaction space,this approach can conduct multivariate analysis to uncover complex interactions between the polymerization result and conditions,prescribing optimal reaction conditions to achieve discretionary polymer targets concerning three dimensions including chemical composition,MWandD values.Given the increasing importance of polymerization in advanced material engineering,this ML-assisted SPP platform provides a universal strategy to access tailored polymers with on-demand prediction of polymerization parameters.Yu Gu Peirong Lin Chengda Zhou Mao Chen 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,6:2
