| 1 | A Remote Sensing-based Analysis on the Impact of Wenchuan Earthquake on the Core Value of World Nature Heritage Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuary显示文摘In this study,we used remotely sensed data,GIS modeling,and statistical methods to evaluate the damage caused by the Wenchuan Earthquake (May 12,2008) to the giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) habitat in the World Nature Heritage Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuary (WHSGPS) in China.A landscape ecological analysis found increases of landscape heterogeneity,complexity,and fragmentation in the giant panda habitat after the earthquake.A terrain analysis found that slope and elevation are directly associated with the distribution of the damaged areas.As slope and elevation increase,the size of the damaged area keeps increase until to a peak,and then starts to drop.The total area of the damaged vegetation in our study area is 114.26 km 2,accounting for 3.78% of the study area;30.46% of that 114.26 km 2 is located in the Core Zone of WHSGPS.There are 18.57km 2 of the damaged vegetation located in the identified suitable giant panda habitat,accounting for 1.75% of the total area of suitable giant panda habitats in the study area.Based on these findings,we conclude that the Wenchuan Earthquake does not have significant impact on the WHSGPS as a whole. | YU Hu ZHAO Yongtao MA Yuewei SUN Yulian ZHANG Hu YANG Shihong LUO Yong | 2011 | Journal of Mountain Science2011,8,3: | 8 |

In this paper, we describe our approach to the extension of the OWL-S ontology framework for dynamic web service composition. We raise the level of abstraction and propose an abstract service layer so that web services can be com- posed at the abstract service level instead of the concrete level. | 4 | Modeling complex crack problems using the three-node triangular element fitted to numerical manifold method with continuous nodal stress显示文摘A three-node triangular element fitted to numerical manifold method with continuous nodal stress, called Trig_3-CNS(NMM)element, was recently proposed for linear elastic continuous problems and linear elastic simple crack problems. The Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element can be considered as a development of both the Trig_3-CNS element and the numerical manifold method(NMM).Inheriting all the advantages of Trig_3-CNS element, calculations using Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element can obtain higher accuracy than Trig_3 element without extra degrees of freedom(DOFs) and yield continuous nodal stress without stress smoothing. Inheriting all the advantages of NMM, Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element can conveniently treat crack problems without deploying conforming mathematical mesh. In this paper,complex problems such as a crucifix crack and a star-shaped crack with many branches are studied to exhibit the advantageous features of the Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element. | 5 | Nonlinear dynamic behavior of a flexible asymmetric aero-engine rotor system in maneuvering flight显示文摘Aero-engine rotor systems installed in aircraft are considered to have a base motion.In this paper,a flexible asymmetric rotor system is modeled considering the nonlinear supports of ball bearings and Squeeze Film Dampers(SFDs),and the dynamic characteristics of the rotor system under maneuvering flight are systematically studied.Effects of the translational accelerative motions,the angular motions and the pitching flight with combined translational and angular motions on nonlinear dynamic behavior of the rotor system are investigated.The results show that,due to the nonlinear coupled effects among the rotor,ball bearings and SFDs,within the first bending resonance region,responses of the rotor show obvious nonlinear characteristics such as bistable phenomenon,amplitude jumping phenomenon and non-synchronous vibration.Translational acceleration motion of the aircraft leads to axis offset of the rotor system and thus results in the reduction and the final disappearance of the bistable rotating speed region.The pitching angular motion mainly affects rotational vibration of the rotor system,and thus further induces their transverse vibrations.For the pitching flight with combined translational and angular motions,a critical flight parameter is found to correspond to the conversion of two steady responses of the rotor system,in which one response displays small amplitude and synchronous vibration,and the other shows large amplitude and non-synchronous vibration. | Tian GAO Shuqian CAO Yongtao SUN | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,10: | 5 |

| 7 | Lipidomics reveals carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1C protects cancer cells from lipotoxicity and senescence显示文摘Lipotoxicity, caused by intracellular lipid accumulation, accelerates the degenerative process of cellular senescence, which has implications in cancer development and therapy. Previously, carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1C(CPT1C), a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes carnitinylation of fatty acids, was found to be a critical regulator of cancer cell senescence. However, whether loss of CPT1C could induce senescence as a result of lipotoxicity remains unknown. An LC/MS-based lipidomic analysis of PANC-1,MDA-MB-231, HCT-116 and A549 cancer cells was conducted after siRNA depletion of CPT1C. Cellular lipotoxicity was further confirmed by lipotoxicity assays. Significant changes were found in the lipidome of CPT1C-depleted cells, including major alterations in fatty acid, diacylglycerol, triacylglycerol, oxidative lipids, cardiolipin, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine/phosphatidylethanolamine ratio and sphingomyelin. This was coincident with changes in expressions of mRNAs involved in lipogenesis.Histological and biochemical analyses revealed higher lipid accumulation and increased malondialdehyde and reactive oxygen species, signatures of lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress. Reduction of ATP synthesis, loss of mitochondrial transmembrane potential and down-regulation of expression of mitochondriogenesis gene m RNAs indicated mitochondrial dysfunction induced by lipotoxicity, which could further result in cellular senescence. | 8 | Hot Deformation Behavior of Low Carbon Steel during Compression at Elevated Temperature显示文摘Hot compression tests of low carbon steel were carried out on Gleeble-3500 system in the temperature range from 750 to 900 ℃ and in the strain rate range from 0.001 to 1.0 s-1, and the associated microstructural evolution was studied by observations with a metallographic microscope. The results show that the stress-strain curves exhibit a peak stress at critical strain, after which the fl ow stresses decrease monotonically until reaching high strains, showing a dynamic fl ow softening. The peak stress level decreases with increasing deformation temperature and decreasing strain rate, which can be represented by the Zener-Hollomon parameter Z in the hyperbolic sine equation. The fl ow stress increases with increasing strain rate and decreasing deforming temperature. The fl ow stress can be described by constitutive equation in hyperbolic sine function and can also be described by a Zener–Hollomon parameter Z. With increasing deformation temperature and decreasing strain rate, the grain size as well as the volume fraction of the recrystallized grains increase. | 14 | A high order numerical manifold method and its application to linear elastic continuous and fracture problems显示文摘The numerical manifold method(NMM) is a partition of unity(PU) based method. For the purpose of obtaining better accuracy with the same mesh, high order global approximation can be adopted by increasing the order of local approximations(LAs). This,however, will cause the 'linear dependence'(LD) issue, where the global matrix is rank deficient even after sufficient constraints are enforced. In this paper, through quadrilateral mesh to form the mathematical cover, a high order numerical manifold method called Quad4-COLS(NMM) is developed, where the constrained and orthonormalized least-squares method(CO-LS) is used to construct the LAs. The developed Quad4-COLS(NMM) does not need extra nodes or DOFs to construct high order global approximations, while is free from the LD issue. | 15 | Analysis of χ Phase Precipitation in Aged 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel显示文摘Analysis of χ phase precipitation in 2205 duplex stainless steel aged at 700 and 750 ℃ has been investigated systematically. The experimental results showed that χ phase forms prior to the precipitation of σ phase and disappears once σ phase starts to precipitate. This phenomenon indicates that σ phase nucleated and consumed the χ phase. The σ phase nucleated mainly at ferrite/austenite interface and grew inwards into the ferrite phase. The morphology of σ phase reveals a coral-like structure at the temperature of 700 ℃ for 120 min followed by quenching in water. The decomposition of ferrite occurs via the following eutectoid reaction: F→σ+γ2.
