3Inhibitory effects of novel green inhibitors on gas hydrate formation显示文摘Natural gas hydrates easily form in pipelines,causing potential safety issues during oil and gas production and transportation.Injecting gas hydrate inhibitors is one of the most effective methods for preventing gas hydrate formation or aggregation.However,some thermodynamic hydrate inhibitors are toxic and harmful to the environment,whereas degradation of kinetic inhibitors is difficult.Therefore,environmentally friendly and easily biodegradable novel green inhibitors have been proposed and investigated.This paper provides a short but systematic review of the inhibitory performance of amino acids,antifreeze proteins,and ionic liquids.For different hydrate formation systems,the influences of the inhibitor type,structure,and concentration on the inhibitory effects are summarized.The mechanism of green inhibitors as kinetic inhibitors is also discussed.The progress described here will facilitate further developments of such green inhibitors for gas hydrate formation.Cuiping Tang Deqing Liang 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,9:5
4Calcium silicate accelerates cutaneous wound healing with enhanced re-epithelialization through EGF/EGFR/ERK-mediated promotion of epidermal stem cell functions显示文摘Background:Human epidermal stem cells(hESCs)play an important role in re-epithelialization and thereby in facilitating wound healing,while an effective way to activate hESCs remains to be explored.Calcium silicate(CS)is a form of bioceramic that can alter cell behavior and promote tissue regeneration.Here,we have observed the effect of CS on hESCs and investigated its possible mechanism.Methods:Using a mouse full-thickness skin excision model,we explored the therapeutic effect of CS on wound healing and re-epithelialization.In vitro,hESCs were cultured with diluted CS ion extracts(CSIEs),and the proliferation,migration ability and stemness of hESCs were evaluated.The effects of CS on the epidermal growth factor(EGF),epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)and extracellular signal-related kinase(ERK)signaling pathway were also explored.Results:In vivo,CS accelerated wound healing and re-epithelialization.Immunohistochemistry demonstrated that CS upregulated cytokeratin 19 and integrinβ1 expression,indicating that CS improved hESCs stemness.In vitro studies confirmed that CS improved the biological function of hESCs.And the possible mechanism could be due to the activation of the EGF/EGFR/ERK signaling pathway.Conclusion:CS can promote re-epithelialization and improve the biological functions of hESCs via activating the EGF/EGFR/ERK signaling pathway.Bingmin Li Haowen Tang Xiaowei Bian Kui Ma Jiang Chang Xiaobing Fu Cuiping Zhang 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3

6Biocompatible, small-sized and well-dispersed gold nanoparticles regulated by silk fibroin fiber from Bombyx mori cocoons显示文摘Biocompatible, small-sized but well-dispersed gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) remain a major challenge for their synthesis. Here a convenient solution impregnation technique is developed to prepare such Au NPs under the regulation of degummed silk fibroin fibers (SFFs) extracted from Bombyx mori cocoons. SFFs play multiple roles in the formation of Au NPs such as reactive substrate to capture AuCl4^- ions by the chelation of -C = 0, reducing agent for Au(0) by the reduction of -OH , and modifiers to render biocompatible Au NPs by some functional groups and biomolecules. The as-prepared Au NPs with a size of 7-10 nm are embedded in the solid SFF substrate, and can disperse well in the liquid system by the disintegration of SFFs into silk fibroin (SF) in a certain CaCl2 solution. 9Clinical observation of Qushi Xiezhuo formula in reducing monosodium urate crystal deposition in patients with axial spondyloarthritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate effect of Qushi Xiezhuo formula (QSXZF) on axial spondyloarthritis (AxSpA) with a high incidence of monosodium serum urate (MSU) crystal deposition.METHODS: In this prospective cohort study, 62 Ax- SpA patients diagnosed with MSU crystal deposition from October 2012 to July 2015 were recruited for follow-up observation for 1 year after discharge from the hospital. Patients were divided into a case group with QSXZF treatment and a control group without any interventions. X-ray and dual-energy computed tomography were used to assess structural damage in the pelvis and sacroiliac joint and the volume of the MSU crystals. The Wilcoxon rank-sum test and Fisher's exact test were used to compare the proportion and distribution between the groups. RESULTS: A decrease in C-reactive protein (CRP) level, relief from back pain, and an increase in MSU crystal depositions were found in control patients. Compared with the control group, QSXZF reduced CRP levels and back pain to a greater extent, as well as reduced erythrocyte sedimentation rate levels, serum uric acid levels, Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score, morning stiffness and MSU crystal deposition. CONCLUSION: QSXZF can lower progress of radiogrphaic grade at sacroiliac joint in AxSpA/AS patients with MSU crystal deposition by decreasing the inflammation response and reducing the serum uric acid and volume of MSU crystal deposition in sacroiliac joint. 10Recent progress on the hydrogen storage properties of ZrCo-based alloys applied in International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER)显示文摘Under the development of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER) system aimed at realizing the controllable fusion reaction to solve the energy crisis fundamentally, there is an urgent need to find an appropriate material for tritium handling. ZrCo alloy is considered to be a promising candidate for the storage and delivery of hydrogen isotopes due to the favorable characteristics such as low plateau pressure for absorption, high dissociation pressure at moderate temperature and better ability of trapping ~3He. However, the hydrogen induced disproportionation and the slower recovery/deliverty rate of ZrCo-based alloys have limited their further application in ITER system. This review summarizes the efforts towards enhancing the hydrogen storage properties of ZrCo-based alloys including element substitution, surface modification, disproportionation mechanism investigation and the isotope effect study. Element substitution and surface modification play positive role to improve the anti-disproportionation ability and kinetic property of the alloys. However, the ZrCo-based alloys require to be further modified by more attempts such as new composition, novelty modification method or catalyst addition in order to better satisfy the application demands for tritium handling. 13Rationalizing the isolation distance needed for field trials involving genetically modified rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) in China显示文摘The isolation distance required for field trials of genetically modified (GM) rapeseed varies widely worldwide, with a 50-400 m distance in most nations contrasting with a minimum 1000-m isolation distance in China. The goal of this study was to evaluate the relevance of current regulations in China regarding the isolation distance needed for GM rapeseed trials. A pollen flow experiment was conducted based on the design of concentric circles, with the GM plants in a 20-m diameter circle at the centre, surrounded by non-GM plants to a distance 60 m from the perimeter of the circle containing GM plants. The rate of pollen flow was the highest at the isolation distance of 0.5 m, where it ranged from 2.3091% to 2.6711%. The general pattern of the pollen flow rate (y) with distance (x) was well described by the equation y = 1.3936x-0.9136 (R 2 = 0.9950). The long-distance pollen flow tested at the isolation distance of 800 m was 0.0018%, which agrees with the theoretical prediction. 14Effect of IL-10 gene transmission on the PTg-stimulated splenocytes proliferation and Th1 cytokines production from experimental autoimminue thyroiditis rats显示文摘Objective: To investigate the effects of gene therapy with IL-10 on PTg-induced proliferation of splenocytes and Th1 cytokine production from PTg-stimulated splenocytes. Methods: EAT rats were divided into four groups:group A (PBS+PLL) , group B(pORF+PLL), group C (pORFmIL10+PLL), and group D (pORFmIL10+ MEM). The substances mixed with lipofectamine were injected into the thyroid tissues of rats on the 18th dday after immunization. The rats were sacrificed at the 8th week. In vitro proliferative responses to ConA and different concentration of PTg were measured by culturing 4×105 splenocytes pulsed with 18.5KBq of,?3H,Y thymidine for the final 12h and then harvested for liquid scintillation counting. In vitro splenocytes were cultured with PTg(25 mg/L). Th1 cytokine IFN-r,TNF-αand IL-2 were detected by ELISA. Results: The proliferative response to PTg was suppressed in group C, compared with that of group A and B(P < 0.05). The levels of IFN-r,TNF-αand IL-2 in the supernatant of PTg-stimulated splenocytes were 3548.25 ± 779.47 pg/ml, 27.66±10.50 pg/ml and 3617.73± 609.15 pg/ml, respectively, which were much lower in group C than those in group A and B(P < 0.01, P < 0.05,P < 0.001, respectively). 15Design of High-Efficiency broadband power amplifier using low-pass bias network显示文摘A novel design of high-efficiency broadband power amplifier(BPA) with the low-pass bias networkto enhance the efficiency and output power is presented in this paper. Compared with other bias networks, the proposed low-pass bias network shows a smaller baseband impedance, which can reduce the electrical memory effect. While it provides a larger radio frequency(RF) impedance, which can prevent the leakage of the output power from bias network. A BPA with the proposed bias network is designed using commercial Ga N device Cree40025 F. The designed BPA shows a fractional bandwidth of 40%, from 1.8 GHz to 2.7 GHz. 16Effects of Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 on PDX-1, PAX-6 and NKx2.2 Gene Expressions in Isolated Pancreatic Islets显示文摘Objective: To observe the effect of glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP-1) on the gene expressions of transcription factors (PDX-1, PAX-6 and NKx2.2) in freshly isolated rat pancreatic islets and investigate the associated physiological and therapeutic implication of GLP-1. Methods: The isolated rat islets were incubated with 10 nmol/L GLP-1 for 1, 3 and 5 days, respectively. Total cellular RNA was extracted and the expressions of PDX-1, PAX-6 and NKx2.2 gene were detected by semi-quantity RT-PCR. Results: Compared with the control group, the PDX-1, PAX-6 and NKx2.2 gene expressions were significantly increased after co-cultured with GLP-1 for 1 day (P < 0.05). The effect was shown in a time-dependent manner. All three gene expressions reached the peak on the 5th day. 19RNA-seq profiling the transcriptome of secondary seed dormancy in canola(Brassica napus L.)显示文摘Secondary seed dormancy(SSD)is responsible for volunteer plants in canola fields,which causes a series of problems in canola production and serves as an important trait for the environmental safety assessment of transgenic canola.A canola cultivar with strong SSD was used to establish insight into seed transcriptomes in its secondarily dormant seeds and control seeds without dormancy by RNA-seq analysis,aiming to determine the molecular ecological characterizations of SSD.A dataset(more than 4 Gb)of valid sequences was obtained from each sample,which was combined to carry out the de novo assembling.The assembled sequences consisted of 314,261fragments with length[100 bp,including 29,740 long transcripts of length C 500 bp.Functional annotation indicated that 1,641 long transcripts could be categorized into 24 cluster of orthologous groups of proteins(COGs)and 16,515 transcripts were linked to 2,648 gene ontology(GO)terms.There were 452 long transcripts with significantly different expression identified by a threshold of[2-fold expression change(P\0.001)between samples,among which 343 transcripts were unambiguously homologous to Arabidopsis genes.The plant hormones abscisic acid and gibberellins were known as the pivotal regulators of seed dormancy and germination.Although genes responsible for either biosynthesis or signaling of each hormone could be widely verified from the SSD transcriptome,theirs expression evidences failed to correlate with the induction of SSD.Based on the enriched terms of gene ontology and KEGG orthology,as well as the expression models of candidate genes of SSD,we proposed that fatty acid metabolism might implicate in SSD in canola.The information reported here may play a significant role in further understanding of environmental safety assessment of SSD in transgenic canola.Fuxia Liu Xiangqiang Zhao Lihua Zhang Tang Tang Changming Lu Guiming Chen Xinlong Wang Cuiping Bu Xiangxiang Zhao 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,32:0
20Xuebijing alleviates LPS-induced acute lung injury by downregulating pro-inflammatory cytokine production and inhibiting gasdermin-E-mediated pyroptosis of alveolar epithelial cells显示文摘Acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome(ALI/ARDS)is characterized by diffuse alveolar injury primarily caused by an excessive inflammatory response.Regrettably,the lack of effective pharmacotherapy currently available contributes to the high mortality rate in patients with this condition.Xuebijing(XBJ),a traditional Chinese medicine recognized for its potent anti-inflammatory properties,exhibits promise as a potential therapeutic agent for ALI/ARDS.This study aimed to explore the preventive effects of XBJ on ALI and its underlying mechanism.To this end,we established an LPS-induced ALI model and treated ALI mice with XBJ.Our results demonstrated that pre-treatment with XBJ significantly alleviated lung inflammation and increased the survival rate of ALI mice by 37.5%.Moreover,XBJ substantially suppressed the production of TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1βin the lung tissue.Subsequently,we performed a network pharmacology analysis and identified identified 109 potential target genes of XBJ that were mainly involved in multiple signaling pathways related to programmed cell death and anti-inflammatory responses.Furthermore,we found that XBJ exerted its inhibitory effect on gasdermin-E-mediated pyroptosis of lung cells by suppressing TNF-αproduction.Therefore,this study not only establishes the preventive efficacy of XBJ in ALI but also reveals its role in protecting alveolar epithelial cells against gasdermin-E-mediated pyroptosis by reducing TNF-αrelease.ZHANG Cuiping CHEN Xiaoyan WEI Tianchang SONG Juan TANG Xinjun BI Jing CHEN Cuicui ZHOU Jian SU Xiao SONG Yuanlin 2023Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,8:0
