| 2 | Prognostic value of systemic immune- inflammation index in acute/subacute patients with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis显示文摘Objective To evaluate the prognosis values of systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)in non-chronic cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods patients with CVST,admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University,were retrospectively identified from January 2013 to December 2018.We selected patients in acute/subacute phase from database.Functional outcomes of patients were evaluated with the modified Rankin Scale(mRS)-mRS 3-6 as poor outcomes and mRS 6 as death.The overall survival time was defined as the date of onset to the date of death or last follow-up date.Survival analysis was described by the Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox regression analysis.Multivariate logistic regression analysis assessed the relationship between SII and poor functional outcome.The area under the Receiver Operating Curve curve(AUC)was estimated to evaluate the ability of SII in prediction.Results A total of 270 patients were included and their duration of follow-up was 22 months(6-66 months),of whom 31 patients had poor outcomes and 24 patients dead.Cox regression analysis showed that SII(HR=1.304,95%CI:1.101 to 1.703,p=0.001)was a predictor of death in non-chronic CVST.Patients with higher SII presented lower survival rates(p=0.003).The AUC of SII was 0.792(95%CI:0.695 to 0.888,p=0.040)with a sensitivity of 69.6%and specificity of 80.1%.Subgroups analysis demonstrated that SII was an important predictor of poor outcomes in male(OR=1.303,95%CI:1.102 to 1.501,p=0.011)and pregnancy/puerperium female(OR=1.407,95%CI:1.204 to 1.703,p=0.034).Conclusions SII was a potential predictor in the poor prognosis of patients with acute/subacute CVST,especially in male and pregnancy/puerperium female. | Shen Li Kai Liu Yuan Gao Lu Zhao Rui Zhang Hui Fang Yongli Tao Hongbing Liu Jiawei Zhao Zongping Xia Yuming Xu Bo Song | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020，5，4： | 3 |
| 3 | Surface modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries to reduce thermal shrinkage without thickness increase显示文摘Surface chemical modification of polyolefin separators for lithium ion batteries is attempted to reduce the thermal shrinkage, which is important for the battery energy density. In this study, we grafted organic/inorganic hybrid crosslinked networks on the separators, simply by grafting polymerization and condensation reaction. The considerable silicon-oxygen crosslinked heat-resistance networks are responsible for the reduced thermal shrinkage. The strong chemical bonds between networks and separators promise enough mechanical support even at high temperature. The shrinkage at 150 C for 30 min in the mechanical direction was 38.6% and 4.6% for the pristine and present graft-modified separators, respectively. Meanwhile, the grafting organic-inorganic hybrid crosslink networks mainly occupied part of void in the internal pores of the separators, so the thicknesses of the graft-modified separators were similar with the pristine one. | 5 | Risk stratification in symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease with conventional vascular risk factors and cerebral haemodynamics显示文摘Background and purpose Symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(sICAS)is associated with a considerable risk of recurrent stroke despite contemporarily optimal medical treatment.Severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS and its haemodynamic significance quantified with computational fluid dynamics(CFD)models were associated with the risk of stroke recurrence.We aimed to develop and compare stroke risk prediction nomograms in sICAS,based on vascular risk factors and these metrics.Methods Patients with 50%-99%sICAS confirmed in CT angiography(CTA)were enrolled.Conventional vascular risk factors were collected.Severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS was dichotomised as moderate(50%-69%)and severe(70%-99%).Translesional pressure ratio(PR)and wall shear stress ratio(WSSR)were quantified via CTA-based CFD modelling;the haemodynamic status of sICAS was classified as normal(normal PR&WSSR),intermediate(otherwise)and abnormal(abnormal PR&WSSR).All patients received guideline-recommended medical treatment.We developed and compared performance of nomograms composed of these variables and independent predictors identified in multivariate logistic regression,in predicting the primary outcome,recurrent ischaemic stroke in the same territory(SIT)within 1 year.Results Among 245 sICAS patients,20(8.2%)had SIT.The D2H2A nomogram,incorporating diabetes,dyslipidaemia,haemodynamic status of sICAS,hypertension and age≥50 years,showed good calibration(P for Hosmer-Lemeshow test=0.560)and discrimination(C-statistic 0.73,95%CI 0.60 to 0.85).It also had better performance in risk reclassification and provided larger net benefits in decision curve analysis,compared with nomograms composed of conventional vascular risk factors only,and plus the severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS.Sensitivity analysis in patients with anterior-circulation sICAS showed similar results.Conclusions The D2H2A nomogram,incorporating conventional vascular risk factors and the haemodynamic significance of sICAS as assessed in CFD models,could be a useful tool to stratify sICAS patients for the risk of recurrent stroke under contemporarily optimal medical treatment. | Xuan Tian Hui Fang Linfang Lan Hing Lung Ip Jill Abrigo Haipeng Liu Lina Zheng Florence S Y Fan Sze Ho Ma Bonaventure Ip Bo Song Yuming Xu Jingwei Li Bing Zhang Yun Xu Yannie O Y Soo Vincent Mok Ka Sing Wong Thomas W Leung Xinyi Leng | 2023 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2023，8，1： | 2 |
| 6 | Asari Radix et Rhizoma consumption lacks relevance for hepatocellular carcinoma in patients:A retrospective cohort study显示文摘Objective:Although some studies have linked Asari Radix et Rhizoma(Asari Radix)administration to hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),few studies have examined the association between the development of HCC and use of Asari Radix among patients in China's Mainland.This study aimed to evaluate the realworld association between Asari Radix and HCC in patients to strengthen the understanding of Asari Radix safety.Methods:A retrospective cohort study among hepatitis B virus(HBV)-monoinfected patients and nonHBV-monoinfected patients were performed.Patients over 18 years of age were eligible for inclusion.Prescription records of inpatients and outpatients were inquired to distinguish Asari Radix users and nonusers.The risk of developing HCC among Asari Radix users and nonusers in the HBV cohort and the non-HBV cohort was analyzed.Results:There were 49500 HBV and 133148 non-HBV patients involved in the two cohorts.Among HBV patients(2901 users;46599 nonusers),the prevalence of HCC in Asari Radix users was lower than that in nonusers(145.70 vs.265.43 per 105).Among non-HBV patients(5042 users;128106 nonusers),the prevalence of HCC in Asari Radix users was lower than that in nonusers(81.62 vs.134.11 per 105).None of the hazard ratios(HRs)of Asari Radix exposure ranging from 1 g to 200 g in the two cohorts showed correlation between Asari Radix exposure and hepatocarcinogenesis.Conclusion:An obvious irrelevancy was found between the consumption of Asari Radix and HCC development both in patients with and in those without HBV infection.Use of Asari Radix under 200 g appears safe in terms of HCC risk in the Chinese population;further prospective studies are needed to confirm our results. | Zhi-e Fang Yuming Guo Zhilei Wang Tingting He Jiabo Wang Zhaofang Bai Xiaohe Xiao | 2022 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2022，14，3： | 2 |

| 13 | Association Between Lipid Profiles and Left Ventricular Hypertrophy:New Evidence from a Retrospective Study显示文摘Objective To explore the association between lipid profiles and left ventricular hypertrophy in a Chinese general population.Methods We conducted a retrospective observational study to investigate the relationship between lipid markers[including triglycerides,total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein(HDL)cholesterol,non-HDL-cholesterol,apolipoprotein A-I,apolipoprotein B,lipoprotein[a],and composite lipid profiles]and left ventricular hypertrophy.A total of 309,400 participants of two populations(one from Beijing and another from nationwide)who underwent physical examinations at different health management centers between 2009 and 2018 in China were included in the cross-sectional study.7,475 participants who had multiple physical examinations and initially did not have left ventricular hypertrophy constituted a longitudinal cohort to analyze the association between lipid markers and the new-onset of left ventricular hypertrophy.Left ventricular hypertrophy was measured by echocardiography and defined as an end-diastolic thickness of the mterventricular septum or left ventricle posterior wall>11 mm.The Logistic regression model was used in the cross-sectional study.Cox model and Cox model with restricted cubic splines were used in the longitudinal cohort.Results In the cross-sectional study for participants in the highest tertile of each lipid marker compared to the respective lowest,triglycerides[odds ratio(OR):1.2S0,95%CI:1.060 to 1.474],HDL-cholesterol(OR:0.780,95%CI:0.662 to 0.918),and lipoprotein(a)(OR:1.311,95%C7:1.115 to 1.541)had an association with left ventricular hypertrophy.In the longitudinal cohort,for participants in the highest tertile of each lipid marker at the baseline compared to the respective lowest,triglycerides[hazard ratio(HR):3.277,95%C/:1.720 to 6.244],HDL-cholesterol(HR:0.516,95%C7:0.283 to 0.940),non-HDL-cholesterol(HR:2.309,95%C/:1.296 to 4.112),apolipoprotein B(HR:2.244,95%CI:1.251 to 4.032)showed an association with new-onset left ventricular hypertrophy.In the Cox model with forward stepwise selection,triglycerides were the only lipid markers entered into the final model.Conclusion Lipids levels,especially triglycerides,are associated with left ventricular hypertrophy.Controlling triglycerides level potentiate to be a strategy in harnessing cardiac remodeling but deserve to be furdier investigated. | Xuewei Huang Keqiong Deng Juanjuan Qin Fang Lei Xingyuan Zhang Wenxin Wang Lijin Lin Yuming Zheng Dongai Yao Huiming Lu Feng Liu Lidong Chen Guilan Zhang Yueping Liu Qiongyu Yang Jingjing Cai Zhigang She Hongliang Li | 2022 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022，37，2： | 1 |
