| 1 | RAB31 marks and controls an ESCRT-independent exosome pathway显示文摘Exosomes are generated within the multivesicular endosomes(MVEs)as intraluminal vesicles(ILVs)and secreted during the fusion of MVEs with the cell membrane.The mechanisms of exosome biogenesis remain poorly explored.Here we identify that RAB31 marks and controls an ESCRT-independent exosome pathway.Active RAB31,phosphorylated by epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR),engages flotillin proteins in lipid raft microdomains to drive EGFR entry into MVEs to form ILVs,which is independent of the ESCRT(endosomal sorting complex required for transport)machinery.Active RAB31 interacts with the SPFH domain and drives ILV formation via the Flotillin domain of flotillin proteins.Meanwhile,RAB31 recruits GTPase-activating protein TBC1D2B to inactivate RAB7,thereby preventing the fusion of MVEs with lysosomes and enabling the secretion of ILVs as exosomes.These findings establish that RAB31 has dual functions in the biogenesis of exosomes:driving ILVs formation and suppressing MVEs degradation,providing an exquisite framework to better understand exosome biogenesis. | Denghui Wei Weixiang Zhan Ying Gao Liyan Huang Run Gong Wen Wang Ruhua Zhang Yuanzhong Wu Song Gao Tiebang Kang | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,2: | 12 |

| 4 | Deriving Temporal and Vertical Distributions of Methane in Xianghe Using Ground-based Fourier Transform Infrared and Gas-analyzer Measurements显示文摘Methane(CH4)is one of the most important greenhouse gases in the atmosphere,making it worthwhile to study its temporal and vertical distributions in source areas,e.g.,North China.For this purpose,a ground-based high-resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR),the Bruker IFS 125 HR,along with an in-situ instrument,the Picarro G2301,were deployed in Xianghe County(39.8°N,117.0°E),Hebei Province,China.Data have been recorded since June2018.For the FTIR measurements,we used two observation modes to retrieve the mole fraction of CH4:the Total Carbon Column Observing Network(TCCON)method(retrieval algorithm:GGG2014),and the Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change(NDACC)method(retrieval algorithm:SFIT4).Combining FTIR with in-situ measurements,we found the temporal and vertical distributions of atmospheric CH4 within three vertical layers(near the ground,in the troposphere,and in the stratosphere),and throughout the whole atmosphere.Regarding the diurnal variation of CH4 near the ground,the concentration at night was higher than during the daytime.Regarding the seasonal variation,CH4 was low in spring and high in summer,for all three vertical layers.In addition,there was a peak of CH4 in winter near the ground,both in the troposphere and the whole atmosphere.We found that variation of CH4 in the tropospheric column was close to that of the in-situ measurements near the ground.Furthermore,the variations of CH4 in the stratospheric column could be influenced by vertical motions,since it was higher in summer and lower in winter. | Denghui JI Minqiang ZHOU Pucai WANG Yang YANG Ting WANG Xiaoyu SUN Christian HERMANS Bo YAO Gengchen WANG | 2020 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,6: | 2 |

| 6 | Pigeon Robot for Navigation Guided by Remote Control:System Construction and Functional Verification显示文摘Animal robots have outstanding advantages over traditional robots in their own energy supplies,orientation,and natural concealment,delivering significant value in the theories and applications of neural science,national security,and other fields.Presently,many animal robots have been fabricated,but researches about the applications of avian robots are still lacking.In this study,we constructed a Pigeon Robot System(PRS),optimized the electric stimulation parameters,assessed the electric stimulus of navigation,and evaluated the navigation efficiency in the field.Biphasic pulse constant current pattern was adapted,and the optimal stimulus parameters of 4 nuclei tested were of amplitude 0.3 mA,5 pulse trains,frequency 25 Hz,5 pulses,and a 25%duty cycle.Effective ratio of left and right steering behavior response to electric stimulus dorsointermedius ventralis anterior nuclei was 67%and 83%,respectively(mean value 75%).Electrical stimulation efficiency was 0.34-0.68 and path efficiency was 0.72-0.85 among pigeon robot individuals in the open field.Neither electrical stimulation efficiency nor path efficiency differed significantly(P>0.05),suggesting that the navigational PRS performance was not biased in either direction.PRS can achieve continuous navigation along simple pathways and provide the necessary application infrastructure and technical reference for the development of animal robot navigation technology. | Zhengyue Zhou Denghui Liu Hong Sun Wenbo Xu Xinmao Tian Xiaoyuan Li Han Cheng Zhenlong Wang | 2021 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,1: | 1 |

Their working voltage and specific capacity are mainly determined by their cathode materials. Vanadium oxides are promising cathode materials for aqueous ZIBs owing to their low cost, abundant resources, and multivalence. However, vanadium oxide cathodes still suffer from unsatisfactory capacity, poor stability, and low electrical conductivity. In this work, cascading V_(2)O_(3)/nitrogen doped carbon (V_(2)O_(3)/NC) hybrid nanosheets are prepared for high-performance aqueous ZIBs by pyrolyzing pentyl viologen dibromide (PV) intercalated V_(2)O5 nanosheets. The unique structure features of V_(2)O_(3)/NC nanosheets, including thin sheet-like morphology, small crystalline V_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles, and conductive NC layers, endow V_(2)O_(3)/NC with superior performance compared to most of the reported vanadium oxide cathode materials for aqueous ZIBs. | 17 | Experimental studies of ash film fractions based on measurement of cenospheres geometry in pulverized coal combustion显示文摘In pulverized coal particle combustion, part of the ash forms the ash film and exerts an inhibitory influence on combustion by impeding the diffusion of oxygen to the encapsulated char core, while part of the ash diffuses toward the char core. Despite the considerable ash effects on combustion, the fraction of ash film still remains unclear. However, the research of the properties of cenospheres can be an appropriate choice for the fraction determination, being aware that the formation of cenospheres is based on the model of coal particles with the visco-plastic ash film and a solid core. The fraction of ash film X is the ratio of the measuring mass of ash film and the total ash in coal particle. In this paper, the Huangling bituminous coal with different sizes was burnt in a drop-tube furnace at 1273, 1473, and 1673 K with air as oxidizer. A scanning electron microscope (SEM) and cross-section analysis have been used to study the geometry of the collected cenospheres and the effects of combustion parameters on the fraction of ash film. The results show that the ash film fraction increases with increasing temperature and carbon conversion ratio but decreases with larger sizes of coal particles. The high fraction of ash film provides a reasonable explanation for the extinction event at the late burnout stage. | 18 | Integrated guidance and control design method based on finite-time state observer显示文摘A composited integrated guidance and control(IGC) algorithm is presented to tackle the problem of the IGC design in the dive phase for the bank-to-turn(BTT) vehicle with the inaccuracy information of the line-of-sight(LOS) rate. For the sake of theoretical derivation, an IGC model in the pitch plane is established. The high-order finite-time state observer(FTSO), with the LOS angle as the single input, is employed to reconstruct the states of the system online. Besides, a composited IGC algorithm is presented via the fusion of back-stepping and dynamic inverse. Compared with the traditional IGC algorithm, the proposed composited IGC method can attenuate effectively the design conservation of the flight control system, while the LOS rate is mixed with noise. | 20 | Detection and characteristics analysis of the western subarctic front using the high-resolution SST product显示文摘Oceanic front plays a significant role in the ocean vertical mixing and the regulation of air-sea interaction,among others.The western branch of the subarctic front(WSAF)located in the Northwest Pacific has attained lots of attention given its strong intensity and widespread influence on this region.In this study,we take advantage of the merged sea surface temperature(SST)at a high spatial resolution of 0.05°to investigate the characteristics of WSAF.The front detection algorithm that combines the Sobel operator and histogram analysis is adopted.It is advantageous in both preserving the front intensity represented by the SST gradient as well as reducing the detection noise level.We systematically applied this algorithm to the daily SST products for front detection,based on which the WSAF characteristics including its intensity,occurrence of frequency,latitudinal position and coverage area are then extracted.WSAF is mostly located within a small latitude range between 40°N and 41°N with a clear seasonal trend in its intensity that peaks in the winter and troughs in the summer.The seasonal variation of WSAF intensity is almost consistent throughout the temporal period of interest from 2010 to 2018.Similar seasonality is observed for its occurrence of frequency with the winter-summer contrast reaching up to5%.The findings presented here shall help better interpret the WSAF characteristics in the long-term run as well as their impact on the regional weather and climate patterns at high spatial resolution. | Changyuan Chen Chen Wang Huimin Li Denghui Hu Gang Li Xin Chen Yijun He | 2023 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,6: | 0 |
