| 3 | Report on Childhood Obesity in China (5) Body Weight, Body Dissatisfaction, and Depression Symptoms of Chinese Children Aged 9-10 Years显示文摘Objective To investigate the relationship between body weight, body dissatisfaction and depression symptoms among Chinese children. Methods The fasting body weight and height of the third and fourth grade students (n=3886, aged 9 or 10 years) from 20 schools in Beijing, China, were measured, and the students were asked to choose the figures of body image and to complete the self-reported children’s depression inventory (CDI) questionnaire. Results The CDI Cronbach’s alpha was 0.81. The total CDI score was 9.60±7.50, 13.2% of children (boys 16.7% vs girls 9.5%) were at risk of developing depression symptoms. Overweight girls, but not boys, had significantly higher total CDI score than their normal weight counteparts. Both obese girls and boys showed a higher negative self-esteem score. More than one fifth underweight girls still wanted to be thinner while more than one third obese boys still wanted to be heavier. Children who wanted to be thinner showed slightly higher scores of ineffectiveness and negative self-esteem. After introducing the body dissatisfaction into the model, overweight was still associated with total CDI score among girls and obesity was still associated with negative self-esteem among both boys and girls. Conclusion Overweight girls show a significantly higher depression symptom score than their normal weight counterparts, which maybe partially explained by body dissatisfaction. Obese boys and girls are both more likely to suffer from low self-esteem, which is partially explained by body dissatisfaction. | YAN-PING LI GUAN-SHENG MA EVERT G. | 4 | Late Cretaceous biota and the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg)Boundary in Jiayin of Heilongjiang,China显示文摘An international cooperative study of the Late Cretaceous biota and non-marine strata including the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg) boundary in Jiayin near the Heilongjiang River,China during 2002-2010,is summarized in this paper. The strata includes the Upper Cretaceous Yong'ancun-,Taipinglinchang-,Yuliang-zi-,and Furao formations,and the Paleocence Wuyun Formation consisting of Baoshantou Member and a Coalbearing Member. Seven palynological assemblages from Santonian to Paleocene are recognized,which is used for definition of the K--Pg boundary. Through the palynological analysis of three drilled boreholes (XHY-2005,2006,2008) in Xiaoheyan of western Jiayin,the K--Pg boundary is defined within 20. 00-20. 05 m in the borehole XHY-2006 (as a standard boundary) which is just between the top of Furao Formation (late Maasterichtian) and the base of Baishantou Member (early Danian) . These new research results are supported by paleo- magnetic,geochemical and other analyses,also. On the other hand,the presence of eight taxa of Maasterichtian dinosaurs (mostly hadrosaurids) have been recognized by the authors; and two mega-plant assemblages from the Yong'ancun Fm (Santonian) to Taipinglinchang Fm (Campanian) are confirmed. These research a-chievements indicate that the Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene in Jiayin can be well correlated to the strata in the neighboring Zeya-Bureja basin,Russia. The K--Pg boundary definited in Jiayin is the first well documented non-marine K--Pg boundary in China. | 5 | REHEATING TEMPERATURE CONTRAST AND MICROSTRUCTURES OF 7075 Al ALLOY CAST BY LIQUIDUS SEMI-CONTINUOUS CASTING显示文摘In this study, reheating of liquidus semi-continuous east billets of 7075 Al alloy wascarried out in a resistance furnace, and the temperature contrast of the outer andthe center of the reheated billets was investigated, then the reheating microstructureswere investigated. Results show that: the difference of temperature between the outerand center is small and the difference of their microstructures are also small. Dur-ing reheating at 576° C the spheroidization of grains is significant after 5rain and norosettes are visible after 20min by optical microscopy. | 6 | Dextral-Slip Thrust Faulting and Seismic Events of the Ms 8.0 Wenchuan Earthquake,Longmenshan Mountains,Eastern Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Dextral-slip thrust movement of the Songpan-Garzê terrain over the Sichuan block caused the M_s 8.0 Wenchuan earthquake of May 12,2008 and offset the Central Longmenshan Fault(CLF) along a distance of~250 km.Displacement along the CLF changes from Yingxiu to Qingchuan.The total oblique slip of up to 7.6 m in Yingxiu near the epicenter of the earthquake,decreases northeastward to 5.3 m,6.6 m,4.4 m,2.5 m and 1.1 m in Hongkou,Beichuan,Pingtong,Nanba and Qingchuan,respectively.This offset apparently occurred during a sequence of four reported seismic events,EQ1-EQ4,which were identified by seismic inversion of the source mechanism.These events occurred in rapid succession as the fault break propagated northeastward during the earthquake. Variations in the plunge of slickensides along the CLF appear to match these events.The Mw 7.5 EQ1 event occurred during the first 0-10 s along the Yingxiu-Hongkou section of the CLF and is characterized by 1.7 m vertical slip and vertical slickensides.The Mw 8.0 EQ2 event,which occurred during the next 10-42 s along the Yingxiu-Yanziyan section of the CLF,is marked by major dextralslip with minor thrust and slickensides plunging 25°-35°southwestward.The Mw 7.5 EQ3 event occurred during the following 42-60 s and resulted in dextral-slip and slickensides plunging 10°southwestward in Beichuan and plunging 73°southwestward in Hongkou.The Mw 7.7 EQ4 event, which occurred during the final 60-95 s along the Beichuan-Qingchuan section of the CLF,is characterized by nearly equal values of dextral and vertical slips with slickensides plunging 45°-50°southwestward.These seismic events match and evidently controlled the concentrations of landslide dams caused by the Wenchuan earthquake in Longmenshan Mountains. | WU Zhenhan DONG Shuwen Patrick J. | 13 | Entanglement measures of a new type pseudo-pure state in accelerated frames显示文摘In this work we analyze the characteristics of quantum entangleinent of the Dirac field in noninertial reference frames in the context of a new type pseudo-pure state, which is composed of the Bell states. This will help us to understand the relationship between the relativity and quantum information theory. Some states will be changed from entangled states into separable ones around the critical value F = 1/4, but there is no such a critical value for the variable y related to acceleration a. We find that the negativity Nas (ρ^TA AB 1) increases with F but decreases with the variable y、while the variation of the negativity Nb1b11(ρ^TB1 B1B11)is opposite to that of the negativity N AB1(ρ^TA AB1). We also study the von Neumann entropies S(ρAB1) and S(ρB1B11)、We find that the S(ρAB1) increases with variable y but S(ρB1B11) is independent of it. However, both S(ρAB1) and S(ρB1B11) first decreases with F and then increases with it. The concurrences C(ρAB1) and C(ρB1B11) are also discussed. Our simulation indicates that there can be negative cross-bridges resisting contraction within the sarcomere and higher ATP concentration would decrease the resistance force from negative cross-bridges by promoting their timely detachment. It is revealed that the motor force is well regulated only when ATP concentration is above a certain level. | 17 | Serological Investigation of Laboratory-Confirmed and Suspected Ebola Virus Disease Patients During the Late Phase of the Ebola Outbreak in Sierra Leone显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the serological characteristics of Ebola virus(EBOV) infection during the late phase of the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. In total, 877 blood samples from 694 suspected Ebola virus disease(EVD) cases assessed from March to December 2015, were analyzed via real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) for viral RNA and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and Luminex to detect antibodies against EBOV. Viral load and EBOV-specific IgM/IgG titers displayed a declining trend during March to December 2015. Viral RNA load decreased rapidly at earlier stages after disease onset, while EBOV-specific IgM and IgG still persisted in 58.1%(18/31) and 93.5%(29/31) of the confirmed EVD patients and in 3.8%(25/663) and 17.8%(118/663) of the RNA-negative suspected patients in the later phase, respectively.
