2SIMULATION ON HEATING PROCESS IN ULTRASONIC WELDING OF PLASTICS显示文摘The energy conversion during ultrasonic plastic welding is analyzed on the basis of the theory of vis- coelastic mechanics,.The temperature field and the temperature change of the ABS specimen with ener- gy director during ultrasonic welding is simulated with finite element method(FEM). In the simu- lation process,the melting of the energy energy is also considered. 3New Jurassic Pseudopolycentropodids from China (Insecta: Mecoptera)显示文摘In this paper two new species of fossil Pseudopolycentropus Handlirsch, 1906 are described: Pseudopolycentropus janeannae sp. nov. and P. novokshonovi, sp. nov. All of them were recovered from the Middle Jurassic non-marine sedimentary strata of northeastern China. 5Late Cretaceous biota and the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg)Boundary in Jiayin of Heilongjiang,China显示文摘An international cooperative study of the Late Cretaceous biota and non-marine strata including the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg) boundary in Jiayin near the Heilongjiang River,China during 2002-2010,is summarized in this paper. The strata includes the Upper Cretaceous Yong'ancun-,Taipinglinchang-,Yuliang-zi-,and Furao formations,and the Paleocence Wuyun Formation consisting of Baoshantou Member and a Coalbearing Member. Seven palynological assemblages from Santonian to Paleocene are recognized,which is used for definition of the K--Pg boundary. Through the palynological analysis of three drilled boreholes (XHY-2005,2006,2008) in Xiaoheyan of western Jiayin,the K--Pg boundary is defined within 20. 00-20. 05 m in the borehole XHY-2006 (as a standard boundary) which is just between the top of Furao Formation (late Maasterichtian) and the base of Baishantou Member (early Danian) . These new research results are supported by paleo- magnetic,geochemical and other analyses,also. On the other hand,the presence of eight taxa of Maasterichtian dinosaurs (mostly hadrosaurids) have been recognized by the authors; and two mega-plant assemblages from the Yong'ancun Fm (Santonian) to Taipinglinchang Fm (Campanian) are confirmed. These research a-chievements indicate that the Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene in Jiayin can be well correlated to the strata in the neighboring Zeya-Bureja basin,Russia. The K--Pg boundary definited in Jiayin is the first well documented non-marine K--Pg boundary in China. 6Simultaneous removal of chromium and arsenate from contaminated groundwater by ferrous sulfate:Batch uptake behavior显示文摘Chromium and/or arsenate removal by Fe(II) as a function of pH,Fe(II) dosage and initial Cr(VI)/As(V) ratio were examined in batch tests.The presence of arsenate reduced the removal efficiency of chromium by Fe(II),while the presence of chromate significantly increased the removal efficiency of arsenate by Fe(II) at pH 6-8.In the absence of arsenate,chromium removal by Fe(II) increased to a maximum with increasing pH from 4 to 7 and then decreased with a further increase in pH.The increment in Fe(II) dosage resulted in an improvement in chromium removal and the improvement was more remarkable under alkaline conditions than that under acidic conditions.Chromium removal by Fe(II) was reduced to a larger extent under neutral and alkaline conditions than that under acidic conditions due to the presence of 10 μmol/L arsenate.The presence of 20 μmol/L arsenate slightly improved chromium removal by Fe(II) at pH 3.9-5.8,but had detrimental effects at pH 6.7-9.8.Arsenate removal was improved significantly at pH 4-9 due to the presence of 10 μmol/L chromate at Fe(II) dosages of 20-60 μmol/L.Elevating the chromate concentration from 10 to 20 μmol/L resulted in a further improvement in arsenate removal at pH 4.0-4.6 when Fe(II) was dosed at 30-60 μmol/L.Xiaohong Guan Haoran Dong Jun Ma Irene M. 8MORPHOLOGY AND ELEMENTAL COMPOSITION OF DUSTFALL PARTICLES INSIDE EMPEROR QIN'S TERRA-COTTA WARRIORS AND HORSES MUSEUM显示文摘Indoor dustfall samples were collected in Pit 1 and Pit 2 of Emperor Qin’s Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China. The morphological and elemental analysis for long-term (>10 years) and short-term (~0.5 year) dustfall particles and lacquer pieces on the faces of partly assembled warriors were performed with scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (SEM/EDX). The results showed that the ma-jority of dustfall samples appeared to be composed of mineral dust particles, fly ash, and biological particles with different elemental compositions. Most of the mineral particles had irregular shapes with smooth edges. Small floccules of calcium sulfate were more frequently observed in long-term dustfall samples than in short-term samples, implying a progressive chemical reaction between continuous dustfall particles and atmospheric sulfur dioxide. Crystals of calcium sulfate were also found near pits on both inner and outer surfaces of lacquer pieces, revealing an acid chemical reaction between sulfur dioxide and lacquer material as the cause of the formation of erosion pits and cracks on surface of lacquer pieces.Tafeng Hu Xuxiang Li Jungang Dong Bo Rong Zhenxing Shen Junji Cao Shun-Cheng Lee Judith C. 11Effects of adenosine triphosphate concentration on motor force regulation during skeletal muscle contraction显示文摘We employ a mechanical model of sarcomere to quantitatively investigate how adenosine triphosphate(ATP)concentration affects motor force regulation during skeletal muscle contraction. Our simulation indicates that there can be negative cross-bridges resisting contraction within the sarcomere and higher ATP concentration would decrease the resistance force from negative cross-bridges by promoting their timely detachment. It is revealed that the motor force is well regulated only when ATP concentration is above a certain level. It are was known that it is not possible to the the rail of railroad directly to the cross- ing of railway track made from a steel containing about 14% of manganese (wt. ) because of so many differences between the two kinds of steels such as composition, microstructure,mechanical properties and weldability.A method was used to solve the problem by presetting an intermediate layer on each side of the joint and other special procedures were used.The result of test indicated that a good weld joint was obtained.M.
