| 1 | Landscape Network Approach to Assess Ecological Impacts of Road Projects on Biological Conservation显示文摘Awareness of the adverse ecological effects of road and other large construction projects has resulted in a rapidly growing demand to quantitatively predict and evaluate the effects on gene flow among plants and animals in natural habitats.In this study,we evaluated the effects of different road construction scenarios on animal species movement by using the methods of ecological landscape connectivity in the typical regions of Yunnan Province,China.The results showed landscape connectivity levels(Probability of Connectivity(PC))decreased after road construction and species with lower dispersal abilities were more affected to the subsequent habitat fragmentation.First level roads affected landscape connectivity most significantly.At a distance of 100 m,the PC index decreased more than 50%.Further analysis suggested that the use of landscape connectivity to assess landscape processes revealed the adverse effects on the species movement more effectively compared with the traditional landscape pattern analysis.In addition,we conducted a graph theory and a least-cost modeling discussion,it is obvious that they are powerful tools to represent and analyze landscape networks with respect to related species movement.Network analysis offers a quantitative and simple but effective tool for ecological process assessment and biological conservation on large scales. | LIU Shiliang DENG Li CHEN Liding LI Junran DONG Shikui ZHAO Haidi | 2014 | Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,1: | 3 |
| 2 | Molecular phylogeny and species delimitation of Stachyuraceae: Advocating a herbarium specimen-based phylogenomic approach in resolving species boundaries显示文摘Species concept and delimitation are fundamental to taxonomic and evolutionary studies.Both inadequate informative sites in the molecular data and limited taxon sampling have often led to poor phylogenetic resolution and incorrect species delineation.Recently,the whole chloroplast genome sequences from extensive herbarium specimen samples have been shown to be ffective to amend the problem.Stachyuraceae are a small family consisting of only one genus Stachyurus of six to 16 species.However,species delimitation in Stachyurus has been highly controversial because of few and generally unstable morphological characters used for cassfcation.In this study,we sampled 69 individuals of seven species(each with at least three individual)covering the entire taxonomlc dlversity,geographlc range,and morphological varlation of Stachyurus from her barium specimens for genome wide plastid gene sequencing to address species delineation in the genus.We obtained high quality DNAS from specimens using a repently developed DNA reconstruction technique.We first assembled four whole chloroplast genome sequences.Based on the chloroplast genome and one nuclear ribosomal DNA sequence of Stachyunus,we designed primers for multiplex polymerase chain reaction and high throughput sequencing of 44 plastid loci for species of Stachyurus,Data of these chloroplast DNA and nuclear ribosomal DNA internal transcribed spacer sequences were used for phylogenetic analyses.The phylogenetic results showed that the Japanese species Stachyurus praecox Siebold&Zucc.was sister to the rest in China's Mainland,which indicated a typical Sino-Japanese distribution pattern.Based on diagnostic morphological characters,dlstinct distrbutional range,and monophyly of each clade,we redefined seven species for Stachyurus fllowving an integrative specles concept,and revised the taxonomy of the family based on previous reports and specimens,in particular the type specimens.Furthermore,our divergence time estimation results suggested that Stachyuraceae split from its sister group Crossosomataceae from the New World at ca.54.29 Mya,but extant species of Stachyuraceae started their diversifcation only recently at ca.6.85 Mya.Diversification time of Stachyurus in China's Mainland was estimated to be ca.4.45 Mya.This research has provided an example of using the herbarium specimen based phylogenomic approach in resolving species boundaries in a taxonomically dificult genus. | Jun-Xia Su Cong-Cong Dong Yan-Ting Niu Li-Min Lu Chao xu Bing Liu ShiLiang Zhou An-Ming Lu Yu-Ping Zhu Jun Wen Zhi-Duan Chen | 2020 | Journal of Systematics and Evolution2020,58,5: | 2 |
| 3 | Evidence for charge and spin density waves in single crystals of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7) and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)显示文摘Charge and spin orders are intimately related to superconductivity in copper oxide superconductors.Elucidation of the competing orders in various nickel oxide compounds is crucial,given the fact that superconductivity has been discovered in Nd_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)NiO_(2)films.Herein,we report structural,electronic transport,magnetic,and thermodynamic characterizations of single crystals of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6).La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)is metallic with mixed Ni^(2+)and Ni^(3+)valent states.Resistivity measurements yield two transition-like kinks at~110 and 153 K.The kink at 153 K is further revealed from magnetization and specific heat measurements,indicative of the formation of charge and spin density waves.La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)single crystals obtained from the topochemical reduction of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)are insulating and show an anomaly at~176 K on magnetic susceptibility.The transition-like behaviors of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)are analogous to those observed in La_(4)Ni_(3)O_(10) and La_(4)Ni_(3)O_(8),suggesting that charge and spin density waves are a common feature in the ternary La-Ni-O system with mixed-valent states of nickel. | Zengjia Liu Hualei Sun Mengwu Huo Xiaoyan Ma Yi Ji Enkui Yi Lisi Li Hui Liu Jia Yu Ziyou Zhang Zhiqiang Chen Feixiang Liang Hongliang Dong Hanjie Guo Dingyong Zhong Bing Shen Shiliang Li Meng Wang | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,1: | 2 |

| 15 | Effects of flash-boil shucking on biochemical,sensorial and ultrastructural properties of Yesso Scallop(Mizuhopecten yessoensis)adductor muscle during refrigeration显示文摘Scallop adductor muscle has great popularity for raw consumption in Japan,but conventionally shucking live scallops with high vitality by knife requires skill and is time-consuming.Flash-boil shucking is a convenient shucking method in sushi restaurants for live scallops.However,the effects of this treatment on the quality of its main edible part,the adductor muscle,are not clear.This study was conducted to investigate the impact of flash-boil shucking on the quality of raw-edible scallop adductor muscle,focusing on flavor-enhancing components and ultrastructure.Thermal treatment could contribute to the formation of flavor-enhancing nucleotides in the external layer of the adductor muscle.Adenosine monophosphate content increased with the boiling time,which significantly increased to 1.47±0.42μmol/g in the 30 s-boiled group compared with 0.38±0.13μmol/g in the control group(p<0.05).The rapid adenosine monophosphate accumulation after boiling resulted in a faster accumulation of inosine and hypoxanthine during subsequent refrigeration,which could bring bitterness to aquatic products.Flash-boil shucking had no discernible effect on the proportion of free amino acids relevant to the flavor of scallop adductor muscle,despite the possibility of a reduction in total free amino acids.The external layer of the scallop adductor muscle could be hardened after flash-boil shucking.At the ultrastructural level,muscle fibers tend to aggregate transversely and contract longitudinally depending on the heating time.Flash-boil shucking is ideal for consuming the raw-edible scallop adductor muscle promptly.Flash-boil shucking treatment is recommended for households,restaurants,and small factories for treating scallops with high vitality. | Yabin Niu Shiliang Dong Nobuyoshi Wada Huamao Wei Tetsuro Yamashita Koichi Takaki Chunhong Yuan | 2023 | Food Quality and Safety2023,7,3: | 0 |

| 17 | Studies of Selective Arterial Perfusion plus Chemoembolization on Hepatic Metastasis from Rectal Cancer显示文摘OBJECTIVE To develop an effectual method for treating hepatic metas-tasis from rectal cancer. METHODS A randomized control study of celiac artery perfusion plus transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization (TACE) (observation group) and intravenous chemotherapy (control group) for 99 cases with hepatic me-tastasis from rectal cancer was performed. The perfusion was repeated once at 4 weeks after the first treatment of 52 cases in the observation group, and it was subsequently repeated at an interval of 2 or 3 months. Using intrave-nous administration, the perfusion was repeated once every 3 weeks with 47 cases in the control group. RESULTS Three months after treatment, the patients in the observation group who showed a relief or elimination of a former superior abdominal pain amounted to 70.6%, and those with a diminution of their intrahepatic mass reached 55.8%. In the control group, the patients with a relief or disappear-ance of hepatalgia reached 20%, and those with a diminution of their intrahe-patic mass reached 10.6%. The 1, 2 and 3-year survival rates were 80.8%, 46.2% and 25.0% in the cases of the observation group and 61.7%, 19.1% and 4.3% in the control group, respectively.
