Stenting for symptomatic intracranial arterial stenosis in China:1-year outcome of a multicentre registry study显示文摘background and purpose A multicentre prospective registry study of individually tailored stenting for a patient with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(ICAS)combined with poor collaterals in China showed that the short-term safety and efficacy of stenting was acceptable. However,it remained uncertain whether the low event rate could be of a long term.We reported the 1-year outcome of this registry study to evaluate the long-term efficacy of individually tailored stenting for patients with severe symptomatic ICAS combined with poor collaterals. Methods Patients with symptomatic ICAS caused by 70%-99% stenosis located at the intracranial internal carotid, middle cerebral, intracranial vertebral or basilar arteries combined with poor collaterals were enrolled.Balloon-mounted stent or balloon plus self-expanding stent were selected based on the ease of vascular access and lesion morphology determined by the operators. The primary outcome was the rate of 30-day stroke, transient ischaemic attack and death, and 12-month ischaemic stroke within the same vascular territory, haemorrhagic stroke and vascular death after stenting.results From September 2013 to January 2015,300 patients(ages 58.3±9.78 years)were recruited.Among them,159 patients were treated with balloon-mounted stent and 141 with balloon plus self-expanding stent.During the 1-year follow-up,25 patients had a primary end point event. The probability of primary outcome at 1 year was 8.1%(95% CI 5.3% to 11.7%).In 76 patients with digital subtraction angiography follow-up,27.6%(21/76)had re-stenosis≥50% and 18.4%(14/76)had re-stenosis≥70%.No baseline characteristic was associated with the primary outcome. Conclusion The event rate remains low over 1 year of individually tailored stenting for patients with severe symptomatic ICAS combined with poor collaterals.Further randomised trial of comparing individually tailored stenting with best medical therapy is needed. | Ning Ma Yong Zhang Jie Shuai Changchun Jiang Qiyi Zhu Kangning Chen Li Liu Baomin Li Xiangqun Shi Lianbo Gao Yajie Liu Feng Wang Yongli Li Tieyan Liu Hongbo Zheng Dapeng Mo Feng Gao Yilong Wang Yongjun Wang Lei Feng Zhongrong Miao | 2018 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,3: | 29

KIF2C:a novel link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary liver malignancy and is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.HCC is refractory to many standard cancer treatments and the prognosis is often poor, highlighting a pressing need to identify biomarkers of aggressiveness and potential targets for future treatments.Kinesin family member 2C(KIF2C)is reported to be highly expressed in several human tumors.Nevertheless, the molecular mechanisms underlying the role of KIF2C in tumor development and progression have not been investigated. In this study,we found that KIF2C expression was significantly upregulated in HCC,and that KIF2C up-regulation was associated with a poor prognosis.Utilizing both gain and loss of function assays,we showed that KIF2C promoted HCC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically,we identified TBC1D7 as a binding partner of KIF2C,and this interaction disrupts the formation of the TSC complex, resulting in the enhancement of mammalian target of rapamycin complexl(mTORCI)signal transduction.Additionally,we found that KIF2C is a direct target of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, and acts as a key factor in mediating the crosstalk between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling. Thus, the results of our study establish a link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling, which highlights the potential of KIF2C as a therapeutic target for the treatment of HCC. | Shi Wei Miaomiao Dai Chi Zhang Kai Teng Fengwei Wang Hongbo Li Weipeng Sun Zihao Feng Tiebang Kang Xinyuan Guan Ruihua Xu Muyan Cai Dan Xie | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,10: | 8
A novel particle filter approach for indoor positioning by fusing WiFi and inertial sensors显示文摘WiFi fingerprinting is the method of recording WiFi signal strength from access points(AP) along with the positions at which they were recorded, and later matching those to new measurements for indoor positioning. Inertial positioning utilizes the accelerometer and gyroscopes for pedestrian positioning. However, both methods have their limitations, such as the WiFi fluctuations and the accumulative error of inertial sensors. Usually, the filtering method is used for integrating the two approaches to achieve better location accuracy. In the real environments, especially in the indoor field, the APs could be sparse and short range. To overcome the limitations, a novel particle filter approach based on Rao Blackwellized particle filter(RBPF) is presented in this paper. The indoor environment is divided into several local maps, which are assumed to be independent of each other. The local areas are estimated by the local particle filter, whereas the global areas are combined by the global particle filter. The algorithm has been investigated by real field trials using a WiFi tablet on hand with an inertial sensor on foot. It could be concluded that the proposed method reduces the complexity of the positioning algorithm obviously, as well as offers a significant improvement in position accuracy compared to other conventional algorithms, allowing indoor positioning error below 1.2 m. | Zhu Nan Zhao Hongbo Feng Wenquan Wang Zulin | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,6: | 8
Integration of GPS and low cost INS for pedestrian navigation aided by building layout显示文摘In outdoor environments,GPS is often used for pedestrian navigation by utilizing its signals for position computation, but in indoor or semi-obstructed environments,GPS signals are often unavailable. Therefore, pedestrian navigation for these environments should be realized by the integration of GPS and inertial navigation system(INS).However, the lowcost INS could induce errors that may result in a large position drift. The problem can be minimized by mounting the sensors on the pedestrian's foot, using zero velocity update(ZUPT) method with the standard navigation algorithm to restrict the error growth. However, heading drift still remains despite using ZUPT measurements since the heading error is unobservable. Also, foot mounted INS suffers from the initialization ambiguity of position and heading from GPS.In this paper,a novel algorithm is developed to mitigate the heading drift problem when using ZUPT.The method uses building layout to aid the heading measurement in Kalman flter, and it could also be combined for the initialization. The algorithm has been investigated with real feld trials using the low cost Microstrain3DM-GX3-25 inertial sensor,a Leica GS10 GPS receiver and a uBlox EVK-6T GPS receiver. It could be concluded that the proposed method offers a signifcant improvement in position accuracy for the long period, allowing pedestrian navigation for nearly40 min with mean position error less than 2.8 m.This method also has a considerable effect on the accuracy of the initialization. | Feng Wenquan Zhao Hongbo Zhao Qi Li Jingwen | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,5: | 8
Numerical simulation study on the influence of the ground stress field on the stability of roadways显示文摘We adopt the concept of generalized plane strain to model a roadway in a stress field. This can avoid limitations caused by simplifying the stress analysis as plane strain.FLAC3D was used to investigate the maximum tensile stress and displacement of a roadway in a known stress field for angles,α,between the roadway axial direction and the maximum principal stress of 0°,30°,45°,60° and 90°.This theory was applied to the analysis of an engineering case. The results indicate that stress and displacement of the surrounding rock increase as the angle,α,increases. This provides some significant guidance for a reasonable layout of roadways in a known stress field. | ZHANG Hualei | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,5: | 7
Oxyvanite V3O5:A new intercalation-type anode for lithium-ion battery显示文摘In the present study,V3O5 microcrystals that synthesized via vacuum calcination are employed as anodes for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)for the first time.Despite the widely observed sluggish reaction kinetics and poor cycling stability in most microsized transition metal oxides, the V3O5 microcrystals exhibit excellent rate capability(specific capacities of 144 and 125 mAh g^−1 are achieved at extremely high current densities of 20 and 50 A g^−1,respectively)and long-term cycling performance(specific capacity of 117 mAh g^−1 is sustained over 2000 cycles at 50 A g^−1).It is ascribed to the three-dimensional open-framework structure of the V3O5 microcrystals as a major factor in dictating the fast reaction kinetics(lithium diffusion coefficient:~10−9 cm^2 s^−1).In addition, significant insight into the reaction mechanism of the V3O5 microcrystals in concomitant its phase evolution are obtained from ex-situ XRD study, revealing that the V3O5 microcrystals undergo intercalation reaction with insignificant structural change in response to lithiation/delithiation. | Dong Chen Huiteng Tan Xianhong Rui Qi Zhang Yuezhan Feng Hongbo Geng Chengchao Li Shaoming Huang Yan Yu | 2019 | InfoMat2019,1,2: | 6
Investigation of the influence of intermediate principal stress on the dynamic responses of rocks subjected to true triaxial stress state显示文摘Precisely understanding the dynamic mechanical properties and failure modes of rocks subjected to true triaxial stress state(σ1>σ2>σ3,whereσ1,σ2,andσ3 are the major principal stress, intermediate principal stress, and minor principal stress, respectively)is essential to the safety of underground engineering. However,in the laboratory,it is difficult to maintain the constant true triaxial stress state of rocks during the dynamic testing process.Herein,a numerical servo triaxial Hopkinson bar(NSTHB)was developed to study the dynamic responses of rocks confronted with a true triaxial stress state,in which lateral stresses can maintain constant. The results indicate that the dynamic strength and elastic modulus of rocks increase with the rise of intermediate principal stressσ2,while the dynamic elastic modulus is independent of the dynamic strain rate.Simulated acoustic emission distributions indicate that the intermediate principal stressσ2 dramatically affects dynamic failure modes of triaxial confined rocks.Asσ2 increases, the failure pattern switches from a single diagonal shear zone into two parallel shear zones with a small slant. Moreover,a recent triaxial Hopkinson bar experimental system using three bar pairs is also numerically established, and the measuring discrepancies are identified between the two numerical bar systems. The proposed NSTHB system provides a controllable tool for studying the dynamic triaxial behavior of rocks. | Wei You Feng Dai Yi Liu Hongbo Du Ruochen Jiang | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,5: | 6

Zircon U-Pb Ages and Hf Isotopes of Neoproterozoic Meta-Igneous Rocks in the Liansandao Area,Northern Sulu Orogen,Eastern China, and the Tectonic Implications显示文摘The Sulu Orogen preserves the Neoproterozoic tectonic-magmatic events, corresponding to the breaking up of the Rodinia supercontinent. The ages and petrogenesis of meta-igneous rocks in the Liansandao area in the northern Sulu Orogen are not well-constrained.This study reports zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopes of these rocks from the Liansandao area.Three meta-igneous rock samples give similar weighted mean 206 Pb/238 U ages of 744±11,767±12,and 762±15 Ma,respectively, indicating the Neoproterozoic crystallization ages. These rocks formed coevally with the Wulian and Yangkou intrusions that located along the Yantai-Qingdao-Wulian fault zone. The Neoproterozoic ages indicate that the meta-igneous rocks from the Liansandao area have affinity to the Yangtze Block. The three samples haveεHf(t)values of-7.2–-10.5,-6.0–-17.5,and-6.8–-12.0,respectively.These negativeεHf(t)values indicate a primarily crustal source. However, the widely variousεHf(t)values that are higher than the continental crust, suggesting magma mixing between mantle-derived materials and the continental crust or source heterogeneity.Combined with the Hf model ages and geochemical characteristics, the monzodiorite(sample LSD-2)is most likely to be mantle-derived magma then interacted with ancient continental crust, and the granitic protolith(samples LSD-1 and LSD-3)in the Liansandao area might derive from the re-melting of a Paleoproterozoic continental crust at^750 Ma,resulting from the upwelling and underplating of mantle-derived magma formed in an extensional setting due to the break-up of the Rodinia supercontinent. | Zhaojun Song Huimin Liu Fanxue Meng Xingyu Yuan Qiao Feng Dingwu Zhou Juan Ramon Vidal Romani Hongbo Yan | 2019 | Journal of Earth Science2019,30,6: | 4
Provenance Study of Fe–Ti Oxide Minerals in the Quaternary Sediments in Yichang Area and Its Implication of Formation Time of the Yangtze Three Gorges, China显示文摘The Three Gorges are considered to be critical to understand the formation of Yangtze River. Recent research results suggest that the Yangtze Three Gorges was created during the Quaternary but the exact time is debatable. Fe–Ti oxide minerals are seldom used to study sediment provenance, expecially using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS). In this study, the provenance of Quaternary sediments in Yichang area, which is located to the east of the Yangtze Three Gorges, was investigated by using SEM and EDS to research Fe–Ti oxides. The Panzhihua vanadium titanomagnetite and Emeishan basalt outcrop are located to the west of the Three Gorges. Further, the materials from them are observed in the Quaternary sediments of Yichang area. Fe–Ti oxide minerals from the Huangling granite are observed in the Yunchi and Shanxiyao Formations, which were formed before 0.75 Ma B.P., whereas Fe–Ti oxide minerals from the Huangling granite, Panzhihua vanadium titanomagnetite, and Emeishan basalt are observed in the riverbed and fifth-terrace sediments of the Yangtze River, which were formed after 0.73 Ma B.P.. Thus, we can infer that the Three Gorges formed after the deposition of the Shanxi Formation and before the fifth-terrace; i.e., 0.75–0.73 Ma B.P.. | XIANG Fang DU Wen HUANG Henxu KANG Dongya ZHU Hongbo FENG Qin | 2018 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2018,92,4: | 4

Fiber-shaped organic electrochemical transistors for biochemical detections with high sensitivity and stability显示文摘Precise and continuous monitoring of biochemicals by biosensors assists to understand physiological functions for various diagnostics and therapeutic applications. For implanted biosensors, small size and flexibility are essential for minimizing tissue damage and achieving accurate detection. However, the active surface area of sensor decreases as the sensor becomes smaller, which will increase the impedance and decrease the signal to noise ratio, resulting in a poor detection limit.Taking advantages of local amplification effect, organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs)constitute promising candidates for high-sensitive monitoring. However, their detections in deep tissues are rarely reported.Herein,we report a family of implantable,fiber-shaped all-in-one OECTs based on carbon nanotube fibers for versatile biochemical detection including H2O2,glucose,dopamine and glutamate. These fiber-shaped OECTs demonstrated high sensitivity, dynamical stability in physiological environment and antiinterference capability. After implantation in mouse brain,7-day dopamine monitoring in vivo was realized for the first time. These fiber-shaped OECTs could be great additions to the'life science'tool box and represent promising avenue for biomedical monitoring. | Xiaoying Wu Jianyou Feng Jue Deng Zhichang Cui Liyuan Wang Songlin Xie Chuanrui Chen Chengqiang Tang Zhengqi Han Hongbo Yu Xuemei Sun Huisheng Peng | 2020 | Science China Chemistry2020,63,9: | 3
Single-cell transcriptomic landscape of human blood cells显示文摘High throughput single-cell RNA-seq has been successfully implemented to dissect the cellular and molecular features underlying hematopoiesis. However,an elaborate and comprehensive transcriptome reference of the whole blood system is lacking. Here,we profiled the transcriptomes of 7551 human blood cells representing 32 immunophenotypic cell types, including hematopoietic stem cells, progenitors and mature blood cells derived from 21 healthy donors. With high sequencing depth and coverage,we constructed a single-cell transcriptional atlas of blood cells(ABC) on the basis of both protein-coding genes and long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs),and showed a high consistence between them.Notably, putative lncRNAs and transcription factors regulating hematopoietic cell differentiation were identified. While common transcription factor regulatory networks were activated in neutrophils and monocytes, lymphoid cells dramatically changed their regulatory networks during differentiation.Furthermore,we showed a subset of nucleated erythrocytes actively expressing immune signals, suggesting the existence of erythroid precursors with immune functions. Finally,a web portal offering transcriptome browsing and blood cell type prediction has been established. Thus, our work provides a transcriptional map of human blood cells at single-cell resolution, thereby offering a comprehensive reference for the exploration of physiological and pathological hematopoiesis. | Xiaowei Xie Mengyao Liu Yawen Zhang Bingrui Wang Caiying Zhu Chenchen Wang Qing Li Yingying Huo Jiaojiao Guo Changlu Xu Linping Hu Aiming Pang Shihui Ma Una Wang Wenbin Cao Shulian Chen Qiuling Li Sudong Zhang Xueying Zhao Wen Zhou Hongbo Luo Guoguang Zheng Erlie Jiang Sizhou Feng Lixiang Chen Lihong Shi Hui Cheng Sha Hao Ping Zhu Tao Cheng | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,3: | 3

High-dimensional immune profiling by mass cytometry revealed immunosuppression and dysfunction of immunity in COVID-19 patients显示文摘The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by the new virus SARS-CoV-2 has been announced as a public health emergency of international concern.1–3 The clinical features of patients with COVID-19 range from common fever and cough to other rare symptoms, such as diarrhea and nausea. This disease can progress quickly, and 2–3%of patients die within a short time, which is generally due to multiple organ failure.4–7 Clinically,COVID-19 patients are classified into mild, moderate, severe, and critical cases.5–7 The immune response against SARS-CoV-2 is probably linked to the severity of disease.Recently,Zheng et al.8 showed that elevated levels of T-cell exhaustion and reduced functional diversity of T cells in peripheral blood may predict severe progression in COVID-19 patients;however,a more comprehensive understanding of the pathology of SARS-CoV-2 infection remains to be delineated. Here,we profiled immune cellular components using mass cytometry(CyTOF)to analyze the peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)from patients with differences in disease progression by comparing with the PBMCs from healthy donors(HDs). | Wenjing Wang Bin Su Lijun Pang Luxin Qiao Yingmei Feng Yabo Ouyang Xianghua Guo Hongbo Shi Feili Wei Xiaogang Su Jiming Yin Ronghua Jin Dexi Chen | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6: | 2
Biomarkers of aging显示文摘Aging biomarkers are a combination of biological parameters to(i)assess age-related changes,(ii)track the physiological aging process, and(iii)predict the transition into a pathological status.Although a broad spectrum of aging biomarkers has been developed, their potential uses and limitations remain poorly characterized. An immediate goal of biomarkers is to help us answer the following three fundamental questions in aging research:How old are we?Why do we get old?And how can we age slower? This review aims to address this need. Here,we summarize our current knowledge of biomarkers developed for cellular, organ, and organismal levels of aging, comprising six pillars:physiological characteristics, medical imaging, histological features, cellular alterations, molecular changes, and secretory factors. To fulfill all these requisites,we propose that aging biomarkers should qualify for being specific, systemic, and clinically relevant. | Aging Biomarker Consortium Hainan Bao Jiani Cao Mengting Chen Min Chen Wei Chen Xiao Chen Yanhao Chen Yu Chen Yutian Chen Zhiyang Chen Jagadish K Chhetri Yingjie Ding Junlin Feng Jun Guo Mengmeng Guo Chuting He Yujuan Jia Haiping Jiang Ying Jing Dingfeng Li Jiaming Li Jingyi Li Qinhao Liang Rui Liang Feng Liu Xiaoqian Liu Zuojun Liu Oscar Junhong Luo Jianwei Lv Jingyi Ma Kehang Mao Jiawei Nie Xinhua Qiao Xinpei Sun Xiaoqiang Tang Jianfang Wang Qiaoran Wang Siyuan Wang Xuan Wang Yaning Wang Yuhan Wang Rimo Wu Kai Xia Fu-Hui Xiao Lingyan Xu Yingying Xu Haoteng Yan Liang Yang Ruici Yang Yuanxin Yang Yilin Ying Le Zhang Weiwei Zhang Wenwan Zhang Xing Zhang Zhuo Zhang Min Zhou Rui Zhou Qingchen Zhu Zhengmao Zhu Feng Cao Zhongwei Cao Piu Chan Chang Chen Guobing Chen Hou-Zao Chen Jun Chen Weimin Ci Bi-Sen Ding Qiurong Ding Feng Gao Jing-Dong JHan Kai Huang Zhenyu Ju Qing-Peng Kong Ji Li Jian Li Xin Li Baohua Liu Feng Liu Lin Liu Qiang Liu Qiang Liu Xingguo Liu Yong Liu Xianghang Luo Shuai Ma Xinran Ma Zhiyong Mao Jing Nie Yaojin Peng Jing Qu Jie Ren Ruibao Ren Moshi Song Zhou Songyang Yi Eve Sun Yu Sun Mei Tian Shusen Wang Si Wang Xia Wang Xiaoning Wang Yan-Jiang Wang Yunfang Wang Catherine CL Wong Andy Peng Xiang Yichuan Xiao Zhengwei Xie Daichao Xu Jing Ye Rui Yue Cuntai Zhang Hongbo Zhang Liang Zhang Weiqi Zhang Yong Zhang Yun-Wu Zhang Zhuohua Zhang Tongbiao Zhao Yuzheng Zhao Dahai Zhu Weiguo Zou Gang Pei Guang-Hui Liu | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5: | 2
High Rate and Long Lifespan Sodium‑Organic Batteries Using Pseudocapacitive Porphyrin Complexes‑Based Cathode显示文摘Sodium-organic batteries utilizing natural abundance of sodium element and renewable active materials gain great attentions for grid-scale applications. However, the development is still limited by lack of suitable organic cathode materials with high electronic conductivity that can be operated stably in liquid electrolyte.Herein,we present 5,15-bis(ethynyl)-10,20-diphenylporphyrin(DEPP)and[5,15-bis(ethynyl)-10,20-diphenylporphinato]copper(II)(CuDEPP)as new cathodes for extremely stable sodium-organic batteries. The copper(II)ion partially contributes the charge storage and significantly stabilizes the structure of porphyrin complex for electrochemical energy storage. In situ electrochemical stabilization of organic cathode with a lower charging current density was identified which enables both improved high energy density and power density. An excellent longterm cycling stability up to 600 cycles and an extremely high power density of 28 kW kg−1 were achieved for porphyrin-based cathode. This observation would open new pathway for developing highly stable sodium-organic cathode for electrochemical energy storage. | Xi Chen Xin Feng Bo Ren Liangzhu Jiang Hongbo Shu Xiukang Yang Zhi Chen Xiujuan Sun Enhui Liu Ping Gao | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,5: | 1
Trends of Mortality in End-Stage Liver Disease—China,2008–2020显示文摘Introduction:Liver cancer and cirrhosis represent the most prevalent forms of end-stage liver diseases(ESLDs).Notably,in China, deaths attributed to ESLDs contribute significantly to the global mortality rate of these disorders.Enhanced comprehension of the mortality profile associated with ESLDs in China could provide crucial insights into intervention prioritization, which could in turn help reduce the overall global burden of these diseases. Methods:Data were obtained from China’s Disease Surveillance Points system. The presentation includes both crude and age-standardized mortality rates, stratified by sex, residential location, and region.Using Joinpoint Regression, trends in annual mortality rates were estimated from the period of 2008 to 2020 and expressed as the average annual percentage change(AAPC).Results:In 2020,the gross mortality rate of ESLD stood at 30.08 cases per 100,000 individuals.A higher age-standardized ESLD mortality rate was observed in males and rural populations in comparison to their female and urban counterparts, respectively.Noticeably, the highest mortality rates associated with liver cancer and cirrhosis were reported in South and Southwest China, respectively.A positive correlation was noticed between age-specific ESLD mortality rates and advancing age.Interestingly,an annual decrease in the ESLD mortality rate was observed from 2008 to 2020.In urban contexts, the AAPC of cirrhosis was noted to be higher than that of liver cancer. Conclusions:The mortality rate associated with ESLDs in China decreased between 2008 and 2020.Nevertheless,the death burden attributable to ESLD continues to be alarmingly high.Future initiatives should prioritize the reduction of ESLD mortality in particular populations:males, elderly individuals, and those residing in rural regions of South and Southwest China. The emphasis of future interventions should beplaced on antiviral therapy for adults diagnosed with viral hepatitis, and on the prevention of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection across all demographics. | Xiaoxiao Wang Huixin Liu Jinlei Qi Fangfang Zeng Lijun Wang Peng Yin Feng Liu Hongbo Li Yunning Liu Jiangmei Liu Lai Wei Xiaofeng Liang Yu Wang Huiying Rao Maigeng Zhou | 2023 | China CDC weekly2023,5,30: | 1
