1Identification and screening of nitrogenefficient cotton genotypes under low and normal nitrogen environments at the seedling stage显示文摘Background: Large quantities of nitrogen(N) fertilizer applied to cotton cropping systems support high yields but cause adverse environmental impacts such as N_20 emission and water eutrophication. The development of cotton cultivars with higher N use efficiencies suitable for low-N conditions is therefore important for sustainable production. In this study, we evaluated 100 cotton genotypes in 2016 for N use efficiency and related traits at the seedling stage.Methods: Sand culture experiment was conducted with low N levels(0.01 g·kg^(-1)) or normal N levels(0.1 g·kg^(-1)).We investigated plant height, SPAD value(soil plant analysis development chlorophyll meter), dry weight, N accumulation, N utilization efficiency, and N uptake efficiency. Through descriptive statistics, principal component analysis and heatmap clustering analysis, we confirmed the evaluation index system of N-efficient genotypes and the classification of N-efficient genotypes.Results: Significant differences were observed among N levels and genotypes for all agronomic traits and N levels.Coefficients of variation varied greatly and ranged from 6.7~28.8 and 7.4~20.8 under low-N and normal-N treatment, respectively. All traits showed highly significant positive correlations with each other, except SPAD value.The principal components under both N levels were similar, showing that total dry weight, aboveground dry weight, total N accumulation, and N uptake efficiency were important components. We confirmed these four traits as suitable screening indexes for low N tolerance. Based on the results of heatmap clustering and scatter diagram analysis of N efficiency value, 10 genotypes were found low-N tolerant, in which five varieties were inefficient under both low and normal N conditions, while four varieties were found efficient under low-N conditions but inefficient under normal-N conditions. Only one variety was efficient under both low and normal-N conditions. Meanwhile, 20 genotypes were identified as low-N sensitive ones, in which 19 genotypes were inefficient under low-N conditions but efficient under normal-N conditions, one variety was inefficient under both low and normal-N conditions.Conclusion: We preliminarily identified Kashi as a low-N tolerant and N-efficient cotton genotype, and CCRI 64 as a lowN sensitive and N-inefficient cotton genotype. 2PhaseⅠdose-escalation and expansion study of PARP inhibitor,fluzoparib(SHR3162),in patients with advanced solid tumors显示文摘Objective:Fluzoparib(SHR3162)is a novel,potent poly(ADP-ribose)polymerases(PARP)1,2 inhibitor that showed anti-tumor activity in xenograft models.We conducted a phaseⅠ,first-in-human,dose-escalation and expansion(D-Esc and D-Ex)trial in patients with advanced solid cancer.Methods:This was a 3+3 phaseⅠD-Esc trial with a 3-level D-Ex at 5 hospitals in China.Eligible patients for DEsc had advanced solid tumors refractory to standard therapies,and D-Ex enrolled patients with ovarian cancer(OC).Fluzoparib was administered orally once or twice daily(bid)at 11 dose levels from 10 to 400 mg/d.Endpoints included dose-finding,safety,pharmacokinetics,and antitumor activity.Results:Seventy-nine patients were enrolled from March,2015 to January,2018[OC(47,59.5%);breast cancer(BC)(16,20.3%);colorectal cancer(8,10.1%),other tumors(8,10.1%)];48 patients were treated in the D-Esc arm and 31 in the D-Ex arm.The maximum tolerated dose(MTD)was 150 mg bid,with a half-life of 9.14 h.Grade 3/4 adverse events included anemia(7.6%)and neutropenia(5.1%).The objective response rate(ORR)was 30%(3/10)in patients with platinum-sensitive OC and 7.7%(1/13)in patients with BC.Among patients treated with fluzoparib≥120 mg/d,median progression-free survival(m PFS)was 7.2[95%confidence interval(95%CI),1.8-9.3]months in OC,9.3(95%CI,7.2-9.3)months in platinum-sensitive OC,and 3.5(range,2.0-28.0)months in BC.In patients with germline BC susceptibility gene mutation(g BRCAMut)(11/43 OC;2/16 BC),m PFS was 8.9 months for OC(range,1.0-23.2;95%CI,1.0-16.8)and 14 and 28 months for BC(those two patients both also had somatic BRCAMut).Conclusions:The MTD of fluzoparib was 150 mg bid in advanced solid malignancies.Fluzoparib demonstrated single-agent antitumor activity in BC and OC,particularly in BRCAMut and platinum-sensitive OC.Huiping Li Rongrui Liu Bin Shao Ran Ran Guohong Song Ke Wang Yehui Shi Jihong Liu Wenjing Hu Fu Chen Xiaoran Liu Gairong Zhang Chuanhua Zhao Ru Jia Quanren Wang Hope S.Rugo Yifan Zhang Guangze Li Jianming Xu 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,3:4
3Fast synthesis and improved electrical stability in n-type Ag_(2)Te thermoelectric materials显示文摘Cu-and Ag-based superionic conductors are promising thermoelectric materials due to their good electrical properties and intrinsically low thermal conductivity. However, the poor electrical and thermal stability restrict their application. In this work, n-type pure phase Ag_(2) Te compound is synthesized by simply grinding elemental powders at room temperature and compacted by spark plasma sintering. It is found that, because of the migration of Ag+after the phase transition around 425 K, submicron pores are formed inside the samples during the electrical performance measurement, resulting in poor electrical stability and repeatability of Ag_(2) Te samples. However, Pb-doped Ag_(2-x)Pb_(x)Te(x = 0–0.05) specimens exhibit improved electrical stability by the precipitation of the secondary phase Pb Te in the Ag_(2) Te matrix, which is confirmed via cyclic electrical property measurement and microstructure characterization.A maximum z T = 0.72 is obtained at 570 K for x = 0.03 mainly due to the increased power factor.Huiping Hu Kaiyang Xia Yuechu Wang Chenguang Fu Tiejun Zhu Xinbing Zhao 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,32:1

7Effects of tannic acid on the immunity and intestinal health of broiler chickens with necrotic enteritis infection显示文摘Background In broiler chickens,necrotic enteritis(NE)infection can reduce production performance.Tannic acid has shown great potential as a treatment of NE in broilers.However,the appropriate dosage of tannic acid in NE of broilers and the improvement effect on intestinal health are not very clear.In this study,we aimed to investigate the effects of different doses of tannic acid on the production performance,immunity,and intestinal health of broilers by constructing an NE model with C.perfringens infection and determining the appropriate dosage of tannic acid with regard to NE.Results Challenged birds showed significant reduction in body weight,villus height,and the ratio of villus height to crypt depth(P<0.05)and increase in the feed consumption gain ratio,intestinal lesion score,and crypt depth(P<0.05).The infection significantly reduced the relative Bacteroidota and Ligilactobacillus abundance(P<0.05)and increased the ratio of Firmicutes/Bacteroidota and cecal content of C.perfringens(P<0.05).Challenged birds fed diets supplemented with tannic acid showed significantly increased mRNA expression of nutrient transport carriers and intestinal barrier genes and growth performance and reduced serum zonulin and endotoxin levels(P<0.05).Addi-tion of tannic acid to the diet inhibited the inflammatory response by reducing the number of coccidia oocysts in feces and the content of C.perfringens in the cecum.Specifically,tannic acid reduced the serum levels of C reactive protein,myeloperoxidase,and specific IgY and ileal mucosal secretory immunoglobulin A levels in the ileal mucosa compared with those in the NE-infected birds.NE-infected birds fed diets supplemented with tannic acid also showed significantly increased relative Anaerocolumna,Thermoanaerobacterium,and Thermosinus abundance(P<0.05);their microbial composition and functional predictions were similar to those of the NC group.Conclusions Tannic acid in the diet alleviated NE by enhancing the intestinal barrier and absorption function.The recommended dietary tannic acid additive level is 500–750 mg/kg.Our study findings would be useful in reducing related economic losses in the broiler industry.Huiping Xu Jianyang Fu Yimeng Luo Peng Li Bochen Song Zengpeng Lv Yuming Guo 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,6:1

12Brain-derived neurotrophic factor and Bcl-2 expression in rat brain areas following chronic morphine treatment显示文摘The ventral tegmental area and the locus coeruleus are associated with psychological and physical dependence of opioid addiction. To date, very little is known about brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and Bcl-2 gene and protein changes following morphine addiction. The present study utilized immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization techniques, which revealed that there were increased BDNF levels, but decreased Bcl-2 levels in the prefrontal cortex, locus coeruleus, hippocampus, and the ventral tegmental area during morphine-dependence formation and abstinence. However, the levels of BDNF remained unchanged, and Bcl-2 expression was increased in the nucleus accumbens. 18The dopamine receptor D4 regulates the proliferation of pulmonary arteries smooth muscle in broilers by downregulating AT1R显示文摘The major cause of pulmonary vascular remodeling in broilers is abnormal proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs),and one of the main causes of pulmonary hypertension syndrome(PHS)in broilers is pulmonary artery vascular remodeling.Forty Arbor Acres(AA)broilers were randomly divided into four groups(n=10):a control group(deionized water,Og/L NaCl),a freshwater group(FW,deionized water+1 g/L NaCl),highly salinized freshwater group 1(H-SFW-1,deionized water+2.5 g/L NaCl)and highly salinized freshwater group 2(H-SFW-2,deionized water+5 g/L NaCl).The results of in vivo experiments showed that vascular smooth muscle of the broilers could be significantly proliferated by intake of high-salinity fresh water(H-SFW-1&H-SFW-2),which significantly increased the content of angiotensin II(Ang II)and the expression of angiotensin II type 1(AT1)receptor protein.Meanwhile,it significantly decreased the expression of dopamine receptor D4(DRD4)protein.The results of in vitro experiments showed that exogenous Ang II induced the proliferation of primary VSMCs in broilers,which could be significantly inhibited by DRD4 agonists(D4A,HY-101384A)and enhanced by DRD4 inhibitors(D4I;HY-B0965).In addition,the results of immunoblotting and fluorescence quantitative PCR showed that AT1 receptors could be negatively regulated by DRD4 in VSMCs of broilers,either at the transcriptional or translational level.At the same time,the expression of AT1 receptor could be increased by DRD4 inhibition by D4I and decreased by DRD4 activation by D4A.The negative regulatory effect of DRD4 on AT1 receptor occurred in a dose-dependent manner.These results indicate that long-term intake of highly salinized fresh water can cause PHS in broilers,accompanied by varying degrees of proliferation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle.This mechanism may involve response of its receptor being induced by increased Ang II,while DRD4 can negatively regulate it.Xiaoqi Yang Yang Fu Lianfeng Wu Antong Li Luyao Ji Hao Li Yuxuan Peng Jiabin Zhang Donghai Zhou Huiping Zhou 2021Animal Diseases2021,1,2:0
19Biosurfactant-producing Ability of Highly Efficient Petroleum-degrading Bacterium BS-8显示文摘After incubation for 6- 30 h,with the rapid increase of bacterial cell number,surface tension of bacterium BS-8 was reduced sharply from 63. 2 m N / m to 39. 4 m N / m. The production of biosurfactants by BS-8 was growth-dependent. Using glucose as the carbon source,bacterium BS-8 was incubated. Based on centrifugation,precipitation and chromogenic reaction of the culture solution,results indicated that the biosurfactants belonged to lipopeptides. The yield of biosurfactants isolated and purified from the culture solution was 0. 58 g / L,and the critical micelle concentration( CMC) was 90 mg / L.
