| 1 | Effect of Bufei granule on stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a randomized, double blinded, placebo-controlled, and multicenter clinical study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the therapeutic effect Bufei granule, which is a traditional Chinese drug that can enhance the immune function of the lung, on patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).METHODS: This is a randomized, double blinded,placebo-controlled, and multicenter clinical study.Three medical centers in Tianjin, China, participated in the trial. A total of 140 patients with stable COPD were enrolled and randomized into two groups, with 70 patients in each. The treatment group was treated with Bufei granule, while the control group received Bufei placebo. The pharmacological treatment lasted for 12 weeks from the date of enrollment. Then, the indexes of patients were observed. Data were analyzed to study the effect of Bufei granule, with the frequency of acute exacerbation as the primary outcome. Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes,Modified British Medical Research Council dyspnea scale score, St.George's respiratory questionnaire scores, pulmonary function, and serum inflammatory marker levels [including interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-8, tumor necrosis factor-α, and transformation growth factor-β1]were the secondary outcomes.RESULTS: During the 12-week treatment, treatment and control groups had no adverse reactions.The analysis of the indexes obtained from all patients showed that the therapeutic effect in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group because most of the similar probabilities of primary and secondary outcomes were less than 0.05,except for the level of IL-6.CONCLUSION: Bufei granule can treat patients with stable COPD by lowering the frequency of acute exacerbation, improving the quality of life,and alleviating the severity of inflammation. | Sijia Guo Zengtao Sun Enshun Liu Jihong Feng Min Fu Yuechuan Li Qi Wu | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,4: | 19 |
| 2 | FY-3 satellite Ultraviolet Total Ozone Unit显示文摘FY-3 satellites are Chinese second-generation polar orbit meteorological satellite series. Ultraviolet Total Ozone Unit (TOU) is one of the main payloads on FY-3 satellite and the first instrument for daily global coverage of total ozone monitoring in China. The main purpose of TOU is to measure the Earth backscatter ultraviolet radiation for retrieving daily global map of atmospheric ozone. TOU will provide the important parameters for environmental monitoring, climate forecasting and global climate changing research. At present, the in-orbit testing of TOU has accomplished and won a consummation, and it will be delivered to National Satellite Meteorological Center for the operational phase of the project. In this paper we introduce the instrument of TOU and its measuring principle, in general. We also analyze the recent working status of the instrument, including the sensitivity, measuring precision of solar irradiance, diffuser degradation and wavelength drift. The inversion results show that TOU can provide good global ozone maps, and a comparison with the OMI total ozone product shows that their RMS deviation is about 5%. | 3 | Progress in quantitative analysis of plant hormones显示文摘Plant hormones are small molecular natural products that regulate all plant developmental processes at low concentrations. Quantitative analysis of plant hormones is increasingly important for in-depth study of their biosynthesis,transport,metabolism and molecular regulatory mechanisms. Although plant hormone analysis remains a bottleneck in plant scientific research owing to the trace concentrations and complex components in plant crude extracts,much progress has been achieved in the development of extraction,purification and detection techniques in recent years. Solid phase extraction and chromatography/mass spectrometry have been applied widely for purification and quantitative analysis of plant hormones owing to their high selectivity and sensitivity. Purification methods such as liquid partition and immunoaffinity chromatography,and detection methods including immunoassay and electrochemical analysis,are employed. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are discussed. | 5 | PhaseⅠdose-escalation and expansion study of PARP inhibitor,fluzoparib(SHR3162),in patients with advanced solid tumors显示文摘Objective:Fluzoparib(SHR3162)is a novel,potent poly(ADP-ribose)polymerases(PARP)1,2 inhibitor that showed anti-tumor activity in xenograft models.We conducted a phaseⅠ,first-in-human,dose-escalation and expansion(D-Esc and D-Ex)trial in patients with advanced solid cancer.Methods:This was a 3+3 phaseⅠD-Esc trial with a 3-level D-Ex at 5 hospitals in China.Eligible patients for DEsc had advanced solid tumors refractory to standard therapies,and D-Ex enrolled patients with ovarian cancer(OC).Fluzoparib was administered orally once or twice daily(bid)at 11 dose levels from 10 to 400 mg/d.Endpoints included dose-finding,safety,pharmacokinetics,and antitumor activity.Results:Seventy-nine patients were enrolled from March,2015 to January,2018[OC(47,59.5%);breast cancer(BC)(16,20.3%);colorectal cancer(8,10.1%),other tumors(8,10.1%)];48 patients were treated in the D-Esc arm and 31 in the D-Ex arm.The maximum tolerated dose(MTD)was 150 mg bid,with a half-life of 9.14 h.Grade 3/4 adverse events included anemia(7.6%)and neutropenia(5.1%).The objective response rate(ORR)was 30%(3/10)in patients with platinum-sensitive OC and 7.7%(1/13)in patients with BC.Among patients treated with fluzoparib≥120 mg/d,median progression-free survival(m PFS)was 7.2[95%confidence interval(95%CI),1.8-9.3]months in OC,9.3(95%CI,7.2-9.3)months in platinum-sensitive OC,and 3.5(range,2.0-28.0)months in BC.In patients with germline BC susceptibility gene mutation(g BRCAMut)(11/43 OC;2/16 BC),m PFS was 8.9 months for OC(range,1.0-23.2;95%CI,1.0-16.8)and 14 and 28 months for BC(those two patients both also had somatic BRCAMut).Conclusions:The MTD of fluzoparib was 150 mg bid in advanced solid malignancies.Fluzoparib demonstrated single-agent antitumor activity in BC and OC,particularly in BRCAMut and platinum-sensitive OC. | Huiping Li Rongrui Liu Bin Shao Ran Ran Guohong Song Ke Wang Yehui Shi Jihong Liu Wenjing Hu Fu Chen Xiaoran Liu Gairong Zhang Chuanhua Zhao Ru Jia Quanren Wang Hope S.Rugo Yifan Zhang Guangze Li Jianming Xu | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,3: | 4 |

For the treatment of the industrial wastewater with high salinity and pH value, the combination of electrodialysis (ED) and reverse osmosis (RO) is utilized, while for the treatment of the low salinity wastewater with low pH value, RO is directly used. The research results show that the above mentioned methods are effective. | 9 | 溃疡性结肠炎内镜严重度指数(UCEIS)预测溃疡性结肠炎患者行储袋成形术的截点值:多中心长期随访研究结果显示文摘背景:全结直肠切除回肠储袋肛管吻合(IPAA)是溃疡性结肠炎(UC)患者的首选外科治疗术式。溃疡性结肠炎内镜严重度指数(UCEIS)用以预测UC患者的IPAA手术需求,目前尚缺乏数据。本研究旨在建立明确UCEIS预测UC患者IPAA手术需求的截点值。方法:对1986年6月至2020年3月间两个中心收治的UC患者进行回顾性分析。基于入院后首次结肠镜检查结果进行UCEIS评分。采用受试者操作特征曲线分析确定UCEIS评分预测IPAA需求的截点值。结果:293例UC患者纳入研究,中位UCEIS为4分。13年随访期间,80例(28.3%)患者接受外科治疗,其中75例(93.8%)行IPAA手术,5例(6.2%)行次全结肠切除加永久性造口。采用6分作为截点值,UCEIS对IPAA手术需求的预测价值最高,曲线下面积为0.769(P<0.001),灵敏度和特异度分别为72.0%和81.8%。UCEIS≥6是需要行IPAA手术(P<0.001)和恶性转化(P=0.010)的独立预测因素。UCEIS≥6的患者无IPAA生存时间显著短缩(P<0.001)。结论:UCEIS≥6或可作为IPAA手术决策的依据,推荐对这些UC患者行手术治疗以减少恶性转化的发生率。 | Weimin Xu Weijun Ou Jihong Fu Yubei Gu Long Cui Jie Zhong Peng Du | 2021 | Gastroenterology Report2021,9,5: | 1 |

| 12 | Phase I trial of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells for treatment of severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia显示文摘Severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD)is a chronic lung disorder that primarily affects premature babies with extremely low birth weight and involves in multiple organ system;no effective pharmacotherapy for this disease exists,and mortality remains high.Based on the evidence from previous preclinical studies and phase I clinical trials,this study aims to test the safety of intravenous application of a single dose of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(hUC-MSCs)in patients with severe BPD.The Mesenchymal Stem cells for Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia Treatment(MSBDT)trial is a single center,open-label,dose-escalation phase I clinical trial.Severe BPD patients were enrolled in Children Hospital of Chongqing Medical University,Chongqing,China.The first six patients were treated with low-dose hUC-MSCs(1×10^(6) cells/kg)and the next seven patients were treated with high-dose hUC-MSCs(5×10^(6) cells/kg).This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov,number NCT03558334.No prespecified infusion-associated adverse events,immediate complication,respiratory or cardiovascular compromise were observed during infusion and 24 h after infusion.No significant changes in safety laboratory values were observed.One death event occurred in the low-dose group on study day 10,and one death event occurred in the high-dose group on study day 24,while,after review in detail,the two cases are not believed to be infusion-associated events.In conclusion,intravenous application of a single dose of hUC-MSCs was tolerated in thirteen patients with severe BPD. | Yunqiu Xia Tingyuan Lang Yuqin Niu Xian Wu Ou Zhou Jihong Dai Lei Bao Ke Yang Lin Zou Zhou Fu Gang Geng | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,2: | 1 |
