| 2 | Exploring the Transcriptome Landscape of Pomegranate Fruit Peel for Natural Product Biosynthetic Gene and SSR Marker Discovery显示文摘Pomegranate fruit peel is rich in bioactive plant natural products,such as hydrolyzable tannins and anthocyanins.Despite their documented roles in human nutrition and fruit quality,genes involved in natural product biosynthesis have not been cloned from pomegranate and very little sequence information is available on pomegranate in the public domain.Shotgun transcriptome sequencing of pomegranate fruit peel cDNA was performed using RNA-Seq on the Illumina Genome Analyzer platform.Over 100 million raw sequence reads were obtained and assembled into 9,839 transcriptome assemblies (TAs) (>200 bp).Candidate genes for hydrolyzable tannin,anthocyanin,flavonoid,terpenoid and fatty acid biosynthesis and/or regulation were identified.Three lipid transfer proteins were obtained that may contribute to the previously reported IgE reactivity of pomegranate fruit extracts.In addition,115 SSR markers were identified from the pomegranate fruit peel transcriptome and primers were designed for 77 SSR markers.The pomegranate fruit peel transcriptome set provides a valuable platform for natural product biosynthetic gene and SSR marker discovery in pomegranate.This work also demonstrates that next-generation transcriptome sequencing is an economical and effective approach for investigating natural product biosynthesis,identifying genes controlling important agronomic traits,and discovering molecular markers in non-model specialty crop species. | Nadia Nicole Ono Monica Therese Britton Joseph Nathaniel Fass Charles Meyer Nicolet Dawei Lin Li Tian | 2011 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2011,53,10: | 12 |

| 4 | Chemical formation and source apportionment of PM_(2.5) at an urban site at the southern foot of the Taihang mountains显示文摘The region along the Taihang Mountains in the North China Plain(NCP) is characterized by serious fine particle pollution. To clarify the formation mechanism and controlling factors, an observational study was conducted to investigate the physical and chemical properties of the fine particulate matter in Jiaozuo city, China. Mass concentrations of the water-soluble ions(WSIs) in PM_(2.5) and gaseous pollutant precursors were measured on an hourly basis from December 1, 2017, to February 27, 2018. The positive matrix factorization(PMF) method and the FLEXible PARTicle(FLEXPART) model were employed to identify the sources of PM_(2.5). The results showed that the average mass concentration of PM_(2.5) was 111 μg/m^(3) during the observation period. Among the major WSIs, sulfate, nitrate, and ammonium(SNA) constituted 62% of the total PM_(2.5) mass, and NO_(3)^(-) ranked the highest with an average contribution of 24.6%. NH_(4)^(+) was abundant in most cases in Jiaozuo. According to chemical balance analysis, SO_(2)-4, NO_(3)^(-), and Cl^(-) might be present in the form of(NH_4)_(2)SO_4, NH_4NO_3, NH_4Cl, and KCl. The liquid-phase oxidation of SO_(2) and NO_(2) was severe during the haze period. The relative humidity and pH were the key factors influencing SO_(4)^(2-) formation. We found that NO_(3)^(-) mainly stemmed from homogeneous gas-phase reactions in the daytime and originated from the hydrolysis of N_(2)O_5 in the nighttime, which was inconsistent with previous studies. | 7 | Magnetically levitated/piezoelectric/triboelectric hybrid generator as a power supply for the temperature sensor显示文摘The combination of new intelligent materials and structure technology is becoming an effective way in energy havesting and self-powered sensing. In this work, we demonstrate a magnetically levitated/piezoelectric/triboelectric hybrid generator, which does not use complex structure and has high steady output performance. It includes three parts: magnetically levitated generator(MLG), piezoelectric generator(PNG), triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG). The peak power of each is 135 μW, 22 mW and3.6 mW, which are obtained at 1 MΩ, 10 kΩ and 1 kΩ, respectively. The hybrid generator can completely light up light-emitting diodes(LEDs) under the vibration frequency of 20 Hz and the vibration amplitude of 10 mm. It also can charge a 470 μF capacitor.On this basis, we have integrated the hybrid generaor as a power supply into a self-powered tempreature sensing system. | 8 | Design of an Automatic Autonomous Mini Prone-cone Microsatellite Docking Mechanism显示文摘The capability of docking, refueling, repairing, and updating microsatellites using automatic autonomous vehicles will be of significance critical value for design and operation of several space systems in the near feature. Automatic docking capability was successfully tested by many institutions such as National Space Development Agency in Japan, European Space Agency, National Aeronautics and Space Administration in USA, etc. However, there is still much more space for improvement of degree of automation during the process of docking with large deviations of the initial attitude. A novel automatic autonomous probe-cone docking mechanism used for microsatellite docking is proposed. This docking mechanism is designed according to the design indices such as miniaturization, degree of automation and automatic capture capability within large deviation of the initial attitude. On the basis of the virtual work principle, the dynamics modeling of the docking process is presented. The position of the contact point is then analyzed. Comprehensive system level simulation is conducted in the 13 kinds of typical operating conditions with the initial deviations. Capture performance is analyzed. The simulation results show that the docking mechanism can be smoothly captured within 2 s in all cases of large attitude deviation between the active and passive spacecrafts. A virtual prototype model of the docking mechanism is established through ADAMS for further verifying the correctness of the buffer parameter model and the autonomous docking capability. A laboratory platform is designed for on-the-ground experimental validation of the property of mini probe-cone docking mechanism. Repeated docking tests prove the proposed design of the mini probe-cone docking mechanism system for its high reliability, and automatic capture capability within large attitude range. After solubilizing in 8 mol/L urea, the expression product was purified by cation ion exchange chromatography. The purified product was refolded by dilution and the recovery was about 15%. | 10 | Design and Dynamic Modeling of a 2-DOF Decoupled Flexure-Based Mechanism显示文摘Flexure mechanisms with decoupled characteristics have been widely utilized in precision positioning applications.However,these mechanisms suffer from either slow response or low load capability.Furthermore,asymmetric design always leads to thermal error.In order to solve these issues,a novel 2-DOF decoupled mechanism is developed by monolithically manufacturing sets of statically indeterminate symmetric(SIS) flexure structures in parallel.Symmetric design helps to eliminate the thermal error and Finite Element Analysis(FEA) results show that the maximum coupling ratio between X and Y axes is below 0.25% when a maximum pretension force of 200 N is applied.By ignoring the mass effect,all the SIS flexure structures are simplified to 'spring-damper' components,from which the static and dynamics model are derived.The relation between the first resonant frequency of the mechanism and the load is investigated by incorporating the load mass into the proposed dynamics model.Analytical results show that even with a load of 0.5 kg,the first resonant frequency is still higher than 300 Hz,indicating a high load capability.The mechanism's static and dynamic performances are experimentally examined.The linear stiffnesses of the mechanism at the working platform and at the driving point are measured to be 3.563 0 N·μm-1 and 3.362 1 N·μm-1,respectively.The corresponding estimation values from analytical models are 3.405 7 N·μm-1 and 3.381 7 N·μm-1,which correspond to estimation errors of-4.41% and 0.6%,respectively.With an additional load of 0.16 kg,the measured and estimated first resonant frequencies are 362 Hz and 365 Hz,respectively.The estimation error is only 0.55%.The analytical and experimental results show that the developed mechanism has good performances in both decoupling ability and load capability;its static and dynamic performance can be precisely estimated from corresponding analytical models.The proposed mechanism has wide potentials in precision positioning applications. | QIN Yanding TIAN Yanling ZHANG Dawei | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,4: | 3 |

| 17 | Nest-site Use by the Chinese Alligator (Alligator sinensis) in the Gaojingmiao Breeding Farm,Anhui,China显示文摘Nest-site and nesting material used by the Chinese alligator(Alligator sinensis) was studied at the Gaojingmiao Breeding Farm, Langxi County,Anhui, China from May to September 2009. In this study, artificial nesting materials were placed in 43 potential nesting sites before the nesting season, 11 of which were used. Additionally, eight nests were built at natural sites without artificial nesting materials provided. Seven environmental variables were measured at each nest site: distance from water, height from water surface, sunlight duration, nearest bank slope, nest site slope, vegetation coverage and concealment. Statistical analyses indicated that concealment was significantly different between used and unused nest sites, with concealment being significantly correlated to the use of materialsplaced sites. In comparing the nests at artificial vs. natural sites, only the nearest bank slope differed significantly.
