| 1 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 2 | High risk populations and HIV-1 infection in China显示文摘China is currently experiencing one of the most rapidly expanding HIV epidemics in the world. Although the overall prevalence rate is still low, with a population of 1.3 billion, high-risk factors which have contributed to the HIV/AIDS epidemics worldwide continue to prevail in China, including a high rate of injecting drug use and needle sharing, commercial sex with low rates of condom use, and concurrent sex with both commercial sex workers and noncom- mercial casual or steady sex partners. In addition, there are increasing “double risk” populations overlapping drug users and sex workers, as well as increasing rates of STDs and HIV among high-risk populations. Sexual transmission, therefore, may serve as a bridge connecting high-risk populations with general populations. | 3 | Features of colorectal cancer in China stratified by anatomic sites:A hospital-based study conducted in university-affiliated hospitals from 2014 to 2018显示文摘Objective:The clinical and biological characteristics of colorectal cancer have been found to differ depending on the anatomic site of the cancer.However,for Chinese patients,there is limited information on the proportion of cases at each site and the related features.In this study,we explored the location,distribution and other features of colorectal cancers at each anatomic site in Chinese patients.Methods:We conducted a hospital-based study using hospitalization summary reports from 10 Peking University-affiliated hospitals from 2014 to 2018;the reports covered a total of 2,097,347 hospitalizations.Incident cases were chosen as the study population,and their epidemiological features were further analyzed.Results:A total of 20,739 colorectal cancer patients were identified.Rectum was the most common location(48.3%)of the cancer,whereas the proportions of patients with distal and proximal colon cancer were 24.5%and18.6%,respectively.Patients with rectal cancer were predominantly male and were the youngest for all anatomical sites(each P<0.001).The highest proportion of emergency admissions,the longest hospital stays and the highest hospitalization costs were found in patients with proximal colon cancer(each P<0.001).The proximal colon cancer subgroup included the highest proportions of patients with medical histories of cholecystectomy,cholecystolithiasis and/or gallbladder polyps and appendectomy(P=0.009,P<0.001 and P<0.001,respectively).The distal colon cancer subgroup included the highest proportions of patients with medical histories of diabetes and hypertension(P<0.001,respectively).Conclusions:The patterns of colorectal cancer observed in this study differ from those reported for Western patients and show a significantly higher proportion of patients with rectal cancer.Different epidemiological features were also found based on anatomic sites.Further studies based on tumor location should be conducted to facilitate more accurate screening and treatment. | Ruize Qu Yanpeng Ma Liyuan Tao Xiaoyuan Bao Xin Zhou Bingyan Wang Fei Li Siyi Lu Lin Tuo Siyan Zhan Zhipeng Zhang Wei Fu | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,4: | 10 |
| 4 | INFLUENCE OF STRUCTURE ON HYDRAULIC CHARACTERISTICS OF T SHAPE FISHWAY显示文摘While dams cut off the migratory route of fish, and affect their growth and breeding, fishways are built to restore the connectivity of rivers and facilitate the life cycle of these migratory fish. This paper proposes a new kind of fishway called the 'T shape fishway', and studies it by using both numerical simulations and physical experimental methods with the aim to design a fishway in China for migratory fish with swimming and jumping capability much poorer, such as schizothorax davidi and schizothorax prenanti, as compared with migratory fish in other places of the world, like trout and salmon. It is indicated that the range of velocity in each regular pool of the T shape fishway is from 0.42 m/s to 1.22 m/s when the flow discharge Q is 350 L/s, and there are no large vortex zones found there. | 8 | Effects of Defocus Distance on Three-Beam Laser Internal Coaxial Wire Cladding显示文摘Three-beam laser internal coaxial wire feeding cladding is regarded as a promising additive manufacturing technique because it is highly efficient and controllable.In this study,the effects of the defocus distance on cladding using a three-beam laser with internal wire feeding are experimentally and numerically studied.A process map indicating the surface characteristics at different defocus distances with various parameter combinations was developed.The transmission characteristics including laser intensity,beam size,and laser spot distance of the three-beam laser at different defocus distances were analyzed using TracePro software.Based on the TracePro results as heat source,a three-dimensional transient finite element(FE)thermal model was formulated to predict the thermal field,temperature history and molten pool shape at different defocus distances.A molten pool with a flat bottom and low melting depth is generated when the defocus distance is−2.5 mm,whereas when this distance is−1.5 mm,a pool with a valley-shaped bond and high melting depth is formed.The simulated results of the temperature cycle and clad geometry are both validated and found to well agree with experimental measurements.The influence of the defocus distance on the microstructure and microhardness are discussed based on the temperature history and cooling rate.With the increase in the absolute defocus distance,the height and dilution of the clad decreased,whereas the width increased.In addition,the effects of defocus distance with various parameter combinations on clad geometry were explored using the formulated FE model. | Shaoshan Ji Fan Liu Tuo Shi Geyan Fu Shihong Shi | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,4: | 2 |
| 9 | Neurofibromatosis type 1-associated multiple rectal neuroendocrine tumors: A case report and review of the literature显示文摘Neurofibromatosis type 1(NF-1) is commonly associated with benign or malignant tumors in both the central and peripheral nervous systems. However, rare cases of NF-1-associated multiplerectal neuroendocrine tumors have been reported. This report describes a case of a 39 year old female with NF-1 and intermittent hematochezia as a primary symptom. Physical examination showed multiple subcutaneous nodules and café au lait spots with obvious scoliosis of the back. Imaging examinations and colonoscopy found malformation of the left external iliac vein and multiple gray-yellow nodules with varying sizes and shapes in the rectal submucosal layer. Histological and immunohistochemical results suggested multiple rectal neuroendocrine tumors, a rare disease with few appreciable symptoms and a particularly poor prognosis. The patient with NF-1 presented here had not only multiple rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms but also vascular malformations, scoliosis and other multiple system lesions. | 15 | Climatic niche evolution in Smilacaceae(Liliales)drives patterns of species diversification and richness between the Old and New World显示文摘Geographical variation in species richness in plant groups is determined by the interplay between historical,evolutionary,and ecological processes.However,the processes underlying the striking disparity in species richness between Asia and the Americas remain poorly understood.Here,we synthesize global phylogenetic and macroecological data on the diversification of Smilacaceae,deciphering potential drivers underlying the species diversity pattern biased toward Asia.We compiled global distributions of all Smilacaceae species,and reconstructed the biogeographic history and niche evolution using a new time-calibrated phylogeny(eight genes,135 species).Integrating these data sets,we estimated evolutionary histories and diversification rates for each region,and tested correlations among species diversification,niche evolution,and niche divergence.Smilacaceae probably originated during the Late Cretaceous/Early Palaeocene and began to diversify in middle to low latitudes in Central America and Eurasia during the Late Eocene.Both the Old and New World clades exhibited a steady,albeit slight,increase of species diversification from the Late Eocene to Early Miocene.However,the Old World clade experienced an abrupt increase in net diversification during the Late Miocene.Our findings also revealed that species diversification rates were positively correlated with ecological niche evolution and niche divergence.Niche shifts and climatic niche evolution since the Middle Miocene played crucial roles in species diversification dynamics within Smilacaceae.The high plant richness in Asia may be explained by greater diversification in this region,potentially promoted by heterogeneous environments. | Zhe-Chen Qi Pan Li Jun-Jie Wu Alexander Gamisch Tuo Yang Yun-Peng Zhao Wu-Qing Xu Shi-Chao Chen Kenneth M.Cameron Ying-Xiong Qiu Cheng-Xin Fu | 2023 | Journal of Systematics and Evolution2023,61,5: | 0 |
| 16 | Features of gastric cancer by anatomic subsite in northern China: A multi-center Health Science Report database study显示文摘BACKGROUND The features of gastric cancer based on the anatomic site remain unknown in northern China patients.AIM To analyze gastric cancer features and associated trends based on the anatomical site in northern China patients.METHODS This cross-sectional study used incident gastric cancer case data from 10 Peking University-affiliated hospitals(2014 to 2018).The clinical and prevailing local features were analyzed.RESULTS A total of 10709 patients were enrolled,including antral(42.97%),cardia(34.30%),and stomach body(18.41%)gastric cancer cases.Cancer in the cardia had the highest male:female ratio,proportion of elderly patients,and patients with complications,including hypertension,diabetes,cerebrovascular,and coronary diseases(P<0.001).gastric cancer involving the antrum showed the lowest proportion of patients from rural areas and accounted for the highest hospitalization rate and cost(each P<0.001).The proportion of patients with cancer involving the cardia increased with an increase in the number of gastroesophageal reflux disease cases during the same period(P<0.001).Multivariate analysis revealed that tumor location in the cardia increased the risk of inhospital mortality(P=0.046).Anatomical subsite was not linked to postoperative complications.CONCLUSION The features of gastric cancer based on the anatomical site differ between northern China and other regions,both globally and within the country.Social factors may account for these differences and should affect policy-making and clinical practice. | Rui-Ze Qu Yan-Peng Ma Xiao-Yuan Bao Li-Yuan Tao Xin Zhou Si-Yi Lu Yi Zhang Bing-Yan Wang Fei Li Lin Tuo Zhi-Peng Zhang Wei Fu | 2022 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2022,14,11: | 0 |

| 18 | TSE-Tran:Prediction method of telecommunication-network fraud crime based on time series representation and transformer显示文摘Telecom network fraud has become the most common and concerning type of crime and is an important public security incident that threatens urban resilience.Therefore,preventing a continuous rise in telecommunications and network fraud will help establish a resilient urban governance system.Undertaking the spatiotemporal forecasting of telecommunications-network fraud trends is of significant importance for aiding public security agencies in proactive crime prevention and implementing targeted anti-fraud campaigns.This study presents a telecommunication network fraudulent crime prediction method called TSE-Tran,which integrates temporal representation and transformer architecture.The time-series data of telecommunication-network fraud occurrences were input into the TimesNet module,which maps the sequence data to a more precise feature representation tensor that accounts for both intra-and inter-cycle features.Subsequently,the data are fed into the transformer-encoder module for further encoding,capturing long-range dependencies in the time-series data.Finally,occurrences of future telecommunication network frauds are predicted by a fully connected layer.The results of the study demonstrate that the proposed TSE-Tran method outperforms benchmark methods in terms of prediction accuracy.The results of this study are expected to aid in the prevention and control of telecommunications and network frauds effectively strengthen the resilience of urban development and the ability to respond to public security incidents. | Tuo Shi Jie Fu Xiaofeng Hu | 2023 | Journal of Safety Science and Resilience2023,4,4: | 0 |

| 20 | Effects of methionine enkephalin on immune enhancement by reducing myeloid derived suppressor cells and reprogramming liver metabolism in colon cancer mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate enhanced immune function of methionine encephalin(MENK)and its anti-tumor mechanism in CT26 colon cancer mouse model.METHODS 3×10~6CT26 cells were implanted subcutaneously in BALB/c mice.Four days after,MENK was peritoneally administrated at the concentration of 20 mg·kg^(-1) for 14 d.The percentage of MDSCs in bone marrow,spleen,blood,tumor and liver were detected by flow cytometry.Non-esterified fatty acid(NEFA),triglycerides(TG)and total cholesterol(T-CHO)in liver homogenate were tested by a NEFA test kit,a TG test kit and a T-CHO test kit respectively.qRT-PCR and Western blot were used to measure m RNA and protein levels of inflammation-,glycometabolsim-and lipometabolsim-associated indexes in liver.RESULTS MENK decreased percentages of MDSCs in bone marrow,spleen,blood and tumor in colon cancer mice.MENK-treated mice displayed elevated ratio of CD4^+T and CD8^+T cells in spleen as well as increased T and B lymphocytes proliferation.Meanwhile,MENK also ameliorated liver damage reflected by lower levels of GPT and GOT in serum and reduced risks of cancer-associated index including inflammation,high lipid and high glucose.Furthermore,MENK lowered down the levels of NEFA,TG and T-CHO in liver homogenate.MENK treatment decreased expression of p-STAT3,increased expression of p-AKT,IRS1 and Glut4 at protein level as well as reduced lipogenesis-associated genes and elevated glycolysis-associated genes in liver of tumor bearing mice.Also,abated expression of genes associated with MDSCs generation(M-CSF,GM-CSF,IL-6,IL^(-1)β)and migration(S100A9,KC)was observed within shrunken subcutaneous tumor by MENK intervention.CONCLUSION MENK has the ability to strength immune function against colon cancer by reducing MDSCs and improving liver metabolism. | Ming XIANG Ya-li TUO Qi CHENG Qian-qian XU Hui CAO Rong FU | 2017 | 中国药理学与毒理学杂志2017,31,10: | 0 |
