| 1 | Interfacial Microstructure and Properties of a Vacuum Hot Roll-bonded Titanium-Stainless Steel Clad Plate with a Niobium Interlayer显示文摘Vacuum hot roll bonding(VHRB)was used to bond pure titanium(Ti)plate to a 304 stainless steel(SS)plate with a niobium(Nb)interlayer,with the aim of producing a high-quality Ti-SS clad plate.The roll-bonding process was performed at diferent temperatures in the range of 850–1000 C,followed by characterization of microstructure and mechanical properties.The study demonstrates that the interfaces are free from cracks and discontinuities,and interdifusion between the stainless steel and the titanium is efectively prevented by inserting a layer of pure Nb foil.No intermetallic reaction layer occurred at the Nb-Ti interface at any of the investigated temperatures.An intermetallic FeNb phase was formed at the Nb-SS interface when bonding was performed at 950 C and above.The presence of the FeNb layer was confirmed by x-ray difraction.The maximum shear strength of^396 MPa was obtained when bonding is carried out at 900 C.However,the formation of the FeNb layer at roll bonding temperature greater than 900 C led to decrease in shear strength.Ductile fracture occurred through the Ti-Nb interface for roll-bonded temperatures of up to 900 C.On the other hand,at temperature of 950 C and above,failure occurred through the Nb-SS interface,with brittle fracture characteristics. | Zongan LUO Guanglei WANG Guangming XIE Lipeng WANG Kun ZHAO | 2013 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2013,26,6: | 18 |
| 2 | Differential study of DCE-MRI parameters in spinal metastatic tumors, brucellar spondylitis and spinal tuberculosis显示文摘Objective: In the present study, spinal metastatic tumors, brucellar spondylitis and spinal tuberculosis were quantitatively analyzed using dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI) to assess the value of DCE-MRI in the differential diagnosis of these diseases.Methods: Patients with brucellar spondylitis, spinal tuberculosis or a spinal metastatic tumor(30 cases of each)received conventional MRI and DCE-MRI examination. The volume transfer constant(K^(trans)), rate constant(K_(ep)),extravascular extracellular volume fraction(V_e) and plasma volume fraction(V_p) of the diseased vertebral bodies were measured on the perfusion parameter map, and the differences in these parameters between the patients were compared.Results: For pathological vertebrae in cases of spinal metastatic tumor, brucellar spondylitis and spinal tuberculosis, respectively, the K^(trans) values(median ± quartile pitch) were 0.989±0.014, 0.720±0.011 and0.317±0.005 min^(–1); the K_(ep) values were 2.898±0.055, 1.327±0.017 and 0.748±0.006 min^(–1); the V_e values were 0.339±0.008, 0.542±0.013 and 0.428±0.018; the V_p values were 0.048±0.008, 0.035±0.004 and 0.028±0.009; the corresponding H values were 50.25(for K_(trans)), 52.47(for K_(ep)), 48.33(for V_e) and 46.56(for V_p), and all differences were statistically significant(two-sided P<0.05).Conclusions: The quantitative analysis of DCE-MRI has a certain value in the differential diagnosis of spinal metastatic tumor, brucellar spondylitis and spinal tuberculosis. | Pengfei Qiao Pengfei Zhao Yang Gao Yuzhen Bai Guangming Niu | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,4: | 16 |
| 3 | Metamorphic Characteristics and Tectonic Implications of the Kadui Blueschist in the Central Yarlung Zangbo Suture Zone,Southern Tibet显示文摘The Kadui blueschist is located in the central section of Yarlung Zangbo suture zone(YZSZ), southern Tibet, and has been subjected to the subduction of the Neo-Tethyan Ocean below the Asian Plate and provides important clues for better understanding the evolution of the India-Asia convergence zone. In this paper, the systematical petrographic and mineral chemical studies were carried out on the Kadui blueschist, which reveal a mineral assemblage of sodic amphibole, chlorite, epidote, albite and quartz with accessory minerals of titanite, calcite and zircon. Electron microprobe analyses demonstrate that amphibole shows zoned from actinolite core to ferrowinchite/riebeckite rim composition indicating that the sodic amphibole has formed during a prograde metamorphic event. The protolith of the blueschist is an intermediate-basic pyroclastic rock. The calculated pseudosection indicates a clockwise P-T path and constrains peak metamorphic conditions of about 5.9 kbar at 345 ℃. This condition is transitional between pumpellyite-actinolite, greenschist and blueschist facies with a burial depth of 20–22 km and a thermal gradient of 15–16 ℃/km. This thermal gradient belongs to high pressure intermediate P/T facies series and is possibly related to a warm subduction setting of young oceanic slabs. | 4 | An Optimization Algorithm for Service Composition Based on an Improved FOA显示文摘Large-scale service composition has become an important research topic in Service-Oriented Computing(SOC). Quality of Service(Qo S) has been mostly applied to represent nonfunctional properties of web services and to differentiate those with the same functionality. Many studies for measuring service composition in terms of Qo S have been completed. Among current popular optimization methods for service composition, the exhaustion method has some disadvantages such as requiring a large number of calculations and poor scalability. Similarly,the traditional evolutionary computation method has defects such as exhibiting slow convergence speed and falling easily into the local optimum. In order to solve these problems, an improved optimization algorithm, WS FOA(Web Service composition based on Fruit Fly Optimization Algorithm) for service composition, was proposed, on the basis of the modeling of service composition and the FOA. | 6 | A New Critical Nitrogen Dilution Curve for Rice Nitrogen Status Diagnosis in Northeast China显示文摘In-season diagnosis of crop nitrogen(N) status is crucial for precision N management. Critical N(N_c) dilution curve and N nutrition index(NNI) have been proposed as effective methods to diagnose N status of different crops. The N_c dilution curves have been developed for indica rice in the tropical and temperate zones and japonica rice in the subtropical-temperate zone, but they have not been evaluated for short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the previously developed N_c dilution curves for rice in Northeast China and to develop a more suitable N_c dilution curve in this region. A total of17 N rate experiments were conducted in Sanjiang Plain, Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China from 2008 to 2013. The results indicated that none of the two previously developed N_c dilution curves was suitable to diagnose N status of the short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. A new N_c dilution curve was developed and can be described by the equation N_c = 27.7 W^(-0.34) if W ≥ 1 Mg dry matter(DM) ha^(-1) or N_c = 27.7 g kg^(-1) DM if W < 1 Mg DM ha^(-1), where W is the aboveground biomass. This new curve was lower than the previous curves. It was validated using a separate dataset, and it could discriminate non-N-limiting and N-limiting nutritional conditions. | 8 | Wireless whispering-gallery-mode sensor for thermal sensing and aerial mapping显示文摘The Internet of Things(IoT)1,2 employs a large number of spatially distributed wireless sensors to monitor physical environments,e.g.,temperature,humidity,and air pressure,and has many applications,including environmental monitoring3,health care monitoring4,smart cities5,and precision agriculture.A wireless sensor can collect,analyze,and transmit measurements of its environment1,2.Currently,wireless sensors used in the IoT are predominately based on electronic devices that may suffer from electromagnetic interference in many circumstances.Being immune to the electromagnetic interference,optical sensors provide a significant advantage in harsh environments6.Furthermore,by introducing optical resonance to enhance light–matter interactions,optical sensors based on resonators exhibit small footprints,extreme sensitivity,and versatile functionalities7,8,which can significantly enhance the capability and flexibility of wireless sensors.Here we provide the first demonstration of a wireless photonic sensor node based on a whisperinggallery-mode(WGM)optical resonator,in which light propagates along the circular rim of such a structure like a sphere,a disk,or a toroid by continuous total internal reflection.The sensor node is controlled via a customized iOS app.Its performance was studied in two practical scenarios:(1)real-time measurement of the air temperature over 12 h and(2)aerial mapping of the temperature distribution using a sensor node mounted on an unmanned drone.Our work demonstrates the capability of WGM optical sensors in practical applications and may pave the way for the large-scale deployment of WGM sensors in the IoT. | Xiangyi Xu Weijian Chen Guangming Zhao Yihang Li Chenyang Lu Lan Yang | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 8 |
| 9 | Key technologies and engineering practices for soft-rock protective seam mining显示文摘Severe gas disasters in deep mining areas are increasing,and traditional protective coal seam mining is facing significant challenges.This paper proposes an innovative technology using soft rock as the protective seam in the absence of an appropriate coal seam.Based on the geological engineering conditions of the new horizontal first mining area of Luling Coal Mine in Huaibei,China,the impacts of different mining parameters of the soft-rock protective seam on the pressure-relief effect of the protected coal seam were analyzed through numerical simulation.The unit stress of the protected coal seam,which was less than half of the primary rock stress,was used as the mining stress pressure-relief index.The optimized interlayer space was found to be 59 m for the first soft-rock working face,with a 2 m mining thickness and 105 m face length.The physicochemical characteristics of the orebody were analyzed,and a device selection framework for the soft-rock protective seam was developed.Optimal equipment for the working face was selected,including the fully-mechanized hydraulic support and coal cutter.A production technology that combined fully-mechanized and blasting-assisted soft-rock mining was developed.Engineering practices demonstrated that normal circulation operation can be achieved on the working face of the soft-rock protective seam,with an average advancement rate of 1.64 m/d.The maximum residual gas pressure and content,which were measured at the cut hole position of the protected coal seams(Nos.8 and 9),decreased to 0.35 MPa and 4.87 m^3/t,respectively.The results suggested that soft-rock protective seam mining can produce a significant gas-control effect. | Xiang Cheng Guangming Zhao Yingming Li Xiangrui Meng Qingyi Tu | 2020 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6: | 7 |

The microtoroid resonator supports both single mode and multimode Raman lasing with low power thresholds. Observations of Fano and EIT-like phenomena in a packaged microresonator will enable high resolution sensors and can be used in networks where slow-light effect is needed. | 12 | Rapid degradation of dyes in water by magnetic Fe^0/Fe_3O_4/graphene composites显示文摘Magnetic Fe^0/Fe_3O_4/graphene has been successfully synthesized by a one-step reduction method and investigated in rapid degradation of dyes in this work. The material was characterized by N_2 sorption–desorption, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), vibrating-sample magnetometer(VSM) measurements and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The results indicated that Fe^0/Fe_3O_4/graphene had a layered structure with Fe crystals highly dispersed in the interlayers of graphene, which could enhance the mass transfer process between Fe^0/Fe_3O_4/graphene and pollutants. Fe^0/Fe_3O_4/graphene exhibited ferromagnetism and could be easily separated and re-dispersed for reuse in water. Typical dyes, such as Methyl Orange, Methylene Blue and Crystal Violet, could be decolorized by Fe^0/Fe_3O_4/graphene rapidly. After 20 min, the decolorization efficiencies of methyl orange, methylene blue and crystal violet were 94.78%, 91.60% and 89.07%, respectively. The reaction mechanism of Fe^0/Fe_3O_4/graphene with dyes mainly included adsorption and enhanced reduction by the composite. | 14 | The foxtail millet Si69 gene is a Wali7 (wheat aluminum-induced protein 7) homologue and may function in aluminum tolerance显示文摘We isolated a clone, named Si69, from a foxtail millet immature seed cDNA library. The protein encoded by Si69 contains a conserved Wali7 (wheat aluminum induced protein 7) domain and shares high-level homology with aluminum-induced proteins from other species including rice and Arabidopsis. The Si69 gene presents as a single locus in foxtail millet genome and is globally expressed in all tissues examined. Its expression is up-regulated by aluminum. The sequence feature and expression pattern suggest that the Si69 gene is involved in aluminum tolerance or detoxification. To confirm its biological functions, Si69 controlled by the CaMV35S promoter was introduced into Arabidopsis. Transgenic plants did not show any visible morphological changes compared to wild-type plants under normal growth conditions. However, when treated with 20 or 50 μmol/L Aluminum (Al), the root apices of wild-type plants were heavily stained by hematoxylin, whereas those of Si69 transgenic plants were not stained when treated with 20 μmol/L Al and slightly stained when treated with 50 μmol/L Al. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results further demonstrated that the damage of the root apices was se- verer in wild-type plants than in transgenic plants. Inhibition of root growth and accumulation of malondialdehyde (MDA), an indicator of lipid peroxidation, were lower in transgenic plants than in wild-type plants. | 16 | Osteogenic and antibacterial dual functions of a novel levofloxacin loaded mesoporous silica microspheres/nano-hydroxyapatite/ polyurethane composite scaffold显示文摘Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU has been proved to be a novel scaffold material to treat bone defect caused by chronic osteomyelitis.We have previously identified that this material can effectively treat chronic osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus in vivo.However,the potential mechanisms of antibacterial and osteogenic induction properties remain unclear.Thus,for osteogenesis property,immunohistochemistry,PCR,and Western blot were performed to detect the expression of osteogenic markers.Furthermore,flow cytometry and TUNEL were applied to analyze MC3T3-E1 proliferation and apoptosis.For antibacterial property,the material was co-cultivated with bacteria,bacterial colony forming units was counted and the release time of the effective levofloxacin was assayed by agar disc-diffusion test.Moreover,scanning electron microscope was applied to observe adhesion of bacteria.In terms of osteogenic induction,we found BMSCs adherently grew more prominently on Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU.Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU also enhanced the expression of osteogenic markers including OCN and COL1a1,as well as effectively promoted the transition from G1 phase to G2 phase.Furthermore,Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU could reduce apoptosis of MC3T3-E1.Besides,both Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU and n-HA/PU materials could inhibit bacterial colonies,while Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU possessed a stronger antibacterial activities,and lower bacterial adhesion than n-HA/PU.These results illustrated that Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU composite scaffold possess favorable compatibility in vitro,which induce osteogenic differentiation of MSCs,promote proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1,and inhibit apoptosis.Moreover,clear in vitro antibacterial effect of Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU was also observed.In summary,this study replenishes the potential of Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU composite scaffold possess dual functions of anti-infection and enhanced osteogenesis for future clinical application. | Zhiping Kuang Guangming Dai Ruijie Wan Dongli Zhang Chen Zhao Cheng Chen Jidong Li Hongchen Gu Wei Huang | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,2: | 4 |
| 17 | Time-frequency analysis of wheel-rail shock in the presence of wheel flat显示文摘Against the deficiencies of traditional time domain and frequency domain analysis in detecting wheel-rail(W-R) system hidden risks which wheel flats generate,the time-frequency characteristics of W-R shock caused by wheel flat are analyzed and the vehicle-rail dynamic model with wheel flat is investigated.The 10 degrees of freedom(DOF) vehicle model is built up.90-DOF rail model is constructed.The wheel flat excitation model is built up.The vehicle-track coupling dynamic model including wheel flat excitation is set up through nonlinear Hertzian contact theory.The vertical accelerations of axle box are calculated at different speeds and flat sizes based on the vehicle-track coupling dynamic model with wheel flat.Frequency slice wavelet transform(FSWT) is employed to analyze timefrequency characteristics of axle box accelerations to detect the W-R noncontact risks,which the traditional time domain or frequency domain method does not analyze.The results show that the small flat size and high running speed lead to high frequency W-R impact.Large flat size and high running speed result in momentary loss of W-R contact,and there exist security risks between wheel and rail.The conclusion that the phase of axle box accelerations is same to W-R forces lays a theoretical foundation of monitoring W-R contact safety from axle box acceleration instead of traditional W-R force detection. | Jianming Ding Jianhui Lin Guangming Wang Jie Zhao | 2014 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2014,1,6: | 4 |
| 18 | An animal model of cerebral palsy induced by prenatal exposure to lipopolysaccharide and hypoxia显示文摘BACKGROUND:Neonatal cerebral palsy is mainly caused by prenatal factors.At present, an animal model of prenatal infection and early postnatal hypoxia does not exist.OBJECTIVE:To observe morphology and motor performance following prenatal infection and hypoxic insult-induced brain damage of neonatal rats to verify the feasibility to establish a model of cerebral palsy.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING:A randomized, controlled, animal experiment was performed at the Laboratories of Xinjiang Center for Disease Control and Prevention from September 2007 to June 2008.MATERIALS:The hypoxic incubator was purchased from Shanghai Pediatric Medical Institute, China.Lipopolysaccharide (LPS, Escherichia coli, O55:B5) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St.Louis, MO, USA).METHODS:A total of 27 Wistar rats, aged 7 days, were randomly assigned to sham-surgery group (n=15) with no carotid artery incision or hypoxia treatment, hypoxia/ischemia (H/I) group (n=12) undergoing ligature of the right common carotid artery followed by exposure to hypoxia at postnatal day 7 (P7), and LPS/H group (n=19), in which pregnant rats were exposed in utero to LPS followed by prenatal hypoxia at embryonic day 16.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Behavior, compound muscle action potential, and pathological changes were observed in 28-day-old rats.RESULTS:The footprint repeat space showed that left limb footprint repeatability in the H/I and LPS/H groups was lower than in the sham-surgery group (P<0.05).The space between the footprints was larger and unstable.Hind limb quadricep compound muscle action potential in the H/I and LPS/H groups showed lower wave amplitude compared with the sham-surgery group (P<0.05).Hematoxylin and eosin staining showed irregular cells around the ventricle, as well as periventricular leukomalacia.CONCLUSION:An animal model of cerebral palsy was established, which simulated the human condition most likely associated with occurrence of this disease.This model could be used for experimental studies related to cerebral palsy. | Gang Chen Yanrong HU Wei Liu Jiang Li Linbao Wen Jianxin Li Lihui Zhao Xiaopeng Yang Yi Zhu Zhenzhu Sun Guangming Chi | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,14: | 4 |

| 20 | A damage-based constitutive model for rock under impacting load显示文摘Using the Splitting Hopkinson Pressure Bar(SHPB) experimental system, investigations were made into the dynamic mechanical performances of underground soft rocks. The experiments proved that the measured stress–strain curves display the characteristics of plastic deformation. By making use of a revised overstress constitutive formula for the stress model and by taking into account that the strain rate and strain are a function of 1 E(t)/E0, a revised overstress constitutive formula for the stress model was simplified by applying dimensional analysis and consequently, a simplified overstress formula was obtained for the stress model. Then, by taking into consideration the effects of damage under a dynamic load on the dynamic loading strength of the rock, the continuous damage theory and the statistical strength theory were introduced into the development of the simplified overstress constitutive formula for the stress model. Hence, a damage-based constitutive formula for an overstress model, which can be appropriately applied to the analysis of full dynamic stress–strain curves, was developed.
