| 1 | Concentrations,profiles and gas-particle partitioning of PCDD/Fs,PCBs and PBDEs in the ambient air of an E-waste dismantling area,southeast China显示文摘Polychlorinated diebenzo-p-dioxins(PCDDs),polychlorinated diebenzofurans(PCDFs),polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) were monitored in the ambient air of Taizhou,an E-waste dismantling area of southeast China to evaluate their concentrations,profiles and gas-particle partitioning.The ΣPCDD/Fs concentrations ranged from 2.91 to 50.6 pg/m3,with an average of 14.3 pg/m3.The I-TEQs for PCDD/Fs were in the range of 0.20-3.45 pg/m3,with an average of 1.10 pg/m3.The ΣPCBs concentrations and TEQs ranged from 4.23 to 11.35 ng/m3,0.050 to 0.859 pg(TEQ)/m3,respectively.The concentrations of ΣPBDEs ranged from 92 to 3086 pg/m3,with an average of 894 pg/m3.The pollution levels of PCDD/Fs,PCBs and PBDEs were higher than other urban sites,which may be associated with the E-waste dismantling activities.The PCDD/Fs were found exclusively in the particle phase whereas PCBs distributed dominantly in the gas phase.The gas-partilce partitioning was also assessed by correlating the gas-particle partition coefficient(Kp) with the subcooled liquid vapor pressure(PL0).The measured particulate sorptions of PCDD/Fs,PCBs and PBDEs were compared with the predictions from Junge-Pankow model and Koa absorption model.The Junge-Pankow model well estimated the particulate fractions of PCBs.However,it underestimated the sorptions of PCDD/Fs and overestimated the fractions of PBDEs.The predicted particulate fractions of PCDD/Fs and PCBs from Koa model fitted well with the measured data. | LI YingMing JIANG GuiBin WANG YaWei WANG Pu ZHANG QingHua | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,4: | 26 |
| 2 | Spatial concentration,congener profiles and inhalation risk assessment of PCDD/Fs and PCBs in the atmosphere of Tianjin,China显示文摘Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs) and polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) were monitored in a seasonal passive sampling scheme during June 2008 and January 2009 to investigate the spatial concentration,congener profiles and evaluate the potential inhalation risk in different functional areas in Tianjin,China.The spatial air concentrations and I-TEQs ranged 1.08×102-8.19×10 3 fg m-3(average 2.63×103 fg m-3) and 4.08-325 fg I-TEQ m-3(average 91.4 fg I-TEQ m-3) respectively for PCDD/Fs.The concentration and I-TEQs of PCBs were 3.08×104-3.01×105 fg m-3(average 1.39×105 fg m-3) and 1.72-49.6 fg I-TEQ m-3(average 18.5 fg I-TEQ m-3).It is obvious that PCB concentrations were several hundred times higher than the PCDD/Fs.However,the ambient air PCDD/Fs contributed a major part to the total toxicity equivalents,varying from 72.7% to 89.0%(average 81.8%).The atmospheric PCDD/F levels were observed to be higher in winter for most of sampling sites in the downtown.Besides,inhalation risk assessment showed that local residents might suffer more risk near the point sources than those in living area,industrial zones and background area in Tianjin City.However,the total daily dioxin intake was approximately several to hundreds of times lower than the WHO criteria,showing relatively low exposure risks from the impact of industry point sources in Tianjin City. | DING Lei LI YingMing WANG Pu LI XiaoMin ZHAO ZongShan RUAN Ting ZHANG QingHua | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,9: | 17 |
| 3 | Seasonal trend of ambient PCDD/Fs in Tianjin City, northern China using active sampling strategy显示文摘The spatial concentrations, seasonal trends, profiles and congener pairs of ambient polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) were investigated within a seasonally active sampling scheme during Jun 2008 and Jan 2009 in Tianjin City, northern China. The PCDD/F concentrations ranged 14.2-172 fg I-TEQ/m3 (average 69.3 fg I-TEQ/m3 ) in summer and (89.8-1.01)×103 fg I-TEQ/m3 (average 509 fg I-TEQ/m3 ) in winter, respectively, except for the E-waste dismantling site where much higher values were observed (1.04×103 fg I-TEQ/m3 in summer and 7.123×103 fg I-TEQ/m3 in winter). The results indicated a significantly seasonal trend with higher TEQ values in winter as compared with summer, which could be related to increased emission sources and seasonal variations of the atmospheric boundary layer height. 2,3,4,7,8-PeCDF was the dominant contributor to the total PCDD/F toxic equivalents, and 2,3,7,8-TCDD was detected at almost all the sampling sites in winter. Most of the similarly substituted PCDD/F congener pairs exhibited high correlations, suggesting that they might have similar environmental fate or sources. | 5 | Historical trends of PCBs and PBDEs as reconstructed in a lake sediment from southern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘High-altitude lake sediment can be used as a natural archive to reconstruct the history of pollutants. In this work, the temporal distribution of polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) were determined using a high-resolution gas chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometer(HRGC/HRMS) in an alpine lake sediment core collected from the southern Tibetan Plateau(TP) to examine whether the expected decreasing trends due to the implementation of the international Conventions could be observed. The concentrations of PCBs and PBDEs in the sediment core were in the range of 11.8–142 pg/g dw and ND-457 pg/g dw, and their fluxes were in the range of 2.51–31.7 ng/(m^2 ·yr) and ND-43.2 ng/(m^2 ·yr), respectively. The prevalence of low-chlorinated(tri-CB) PCBs and low-brominated(tri-to tetra-) PBDEs in most sections of the sediment profiles was observed, suggesting that the light molecular weight PCBs and PBDEs have most likely reached lake sediments by long-range atmospheric transport from distant sources. Despite the restrictions on their applications, the sediment records for the concentrations and fluxes showed no corresponding decreasing trend with restrictions for PCBs, which suggested that these POPs(e.g., PCBs) were still emitted to the environment owing to the influence of primary or secondary emissions. | 6 | Key technologies and engineering practices for soft-rock protective seam mining显示文摘Severe gas disasters in deep mining areas are increasing,and traditional protective coal seam mining is facing significant challenges.This paper proposes an innovative technology using soft rock as the protective seam in the absence of an appropriate coal seam.Based on the geological engineering conditions of the new horizontal first mining area of Luling Coal Mine in Huaibei,China,the impacts of different mining parameters of the soft-rock protective seam on the pressure-relief effect of the protected coal seam were analyzed through numerical simulation.The unit stress of the protected coal seam,which was less than half of the primary rock stress,was used as the mining stress pressure-relief index.The optimized interlayer space was found to be 59 m for the first soft-rock working face,with a 2 m mining thickness and 105 m face length.The physicochemical characteristics of the orebody were analyzed,and a device selection framework for the soft-rock protective seam was developed.Optimal equipment for the working face was selected,including the fully-mechanized hydraulic support and coal cutter.A production technology that combined fully-mechanized and blasting-assisted soft-rock mining was developed.Engineering practices demonstrated that normal circulation operation can be achieved on the working face of the soft-rock protective seam,with an average advancement rate of 1.64 m/d.The maximum residual gas pressure and content,which were measured at the cut hole position of the protected coal seams(Nos.8 and 9),decreased to 0.35 MPa and 4.87 m^3/t,respectively.The results suggested that soft-rock protective seam mining can produce a significant gas-control effect. | Xiang Cheng Guangming Zhao Yingming Li Xiangrui Meng Qingyi Tu | 2020 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6: | 7 |
| 7 | Determination of PCDD/Fs and dioxin-like PCBs in food and feed using gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry显示文摘A method was developed on a gas chromatograph coupled to a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer(GC-MS/MS) for trace level determination of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs) and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls(DL-PCBs) in food and feed. The results demonstrated good sensitivity and repeatability for PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs at an extremely low level(10 pg mL^(-1) for 2,3,7,8-TCDD/F), as well as wide linear response of over 3 or 4 orders of magnitude in concentration ranges; 0.5–200 ng mL^(-1) for PeCDD/F and 0.2–2000 ng mL^(-1) for DL-PCBs. The method detection limits for PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs were in the range from 0.018–0.17 pg g^(-1) to 0.13–0.36 pg g^(-1), respectively. The performance of the GC-MS/MS for food and feed sample analysis showed high precision and accuracy compared to the high resolution gas chromatograph/high resolution mass spectrometer. | 8 | Levels and distribution of polychlorinated biphenyls in the atmosphere close to Chinese Great Wall Station, Antarctica: Results from XAD-resin passive air sampling显示文摘Antarctica is an important research region for assessing persistence and long-range atmospheric transport (LRAT) of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). In this study, XAD-resin passive air sampling was conducted near the Chinese Great Wall Station, Antarctica, during a one-year sampling period in 2009-2010. The air concentrations of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were at a very low level, with total PCBs in the range of 26.74-45.08 pg m 3. PCB profiles were dominated by tetra-PCBs, tri-PCBs and di-PCBs, indicating LRAT was responsible for the pollutants in the Antarctic atmosphere. The sampling site near the Chinese Great Wall Station did not show higher PCB levels than the other sites, suggesting that PCB sources associated with the Great Wall Station were negligible. PCB-11 is a non-Aroclor congener, which has specific sources compared to other Aroclor PCB congeners. PCB-11 was observed in all air samples, with an average concentration of 1.22 pg m 3. | 10 | Estimationof genetic parameters for juvenile growth performance traits in oliveflounder(Paralichthys olivaceus)显示文摘The aim of this study was to evaluate genetic parameters of growth traits for improving selective breeding in olive flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus).A total of 82 full-sib families from 2 year-classes with complete pedigree information were used to estimate heritabilities and genetic/phenotypic correlations for 4 growth performance traits(body weight BW,total length TL,body height BH and condition factor K)based on uni-trait and multi-trait linear mixed models,respectively.Data were analyzed by the restricted maximum likelihood(REML)method.The heritabilities of BW,TL and BH were 0.81,0.70 and 0.61,which are relatively high,however,heritability for K is low(0.11).For all growth traits,the common full-sib effects(c^(2))were at a low to moderate level(0.14–0.20);the maternal effects(m^(2))of the traits(except K)were also detected(0.15–0.19).The phenotypic and genetic correlations among BW,TL and BH were highly positive(0.70–0.91),however,the correlations between K and the other 3 traits was low or negligible(−0.22–0.26).According to our results,these traits(except K)could be selected and enhanced simultaneously.In addition,direct selection based on TL or BH,which is an easily measurable trait,will be more favorable than selection on BW.Moreover,our results indicated that growth parameters estimated in the juvenile stage could be used as a predictor of growth performance at later growth stages. | Yangzhen Li Bo Zhang Yingming Yang Songlin Chen | 2019 | Aquaculture and Fisheries2019,4,2: | 3 |

| 14 | Methodological progress in trace amounts of structural water in nominally anhydrous minerals显示文摘In the deep Earth, hydrogen mainly occurs as structural hydroxyl and molecular water in minerals and melts, constituting mobile and immobile aqueous components. Hydrous minerals contain hydrogen which occupies a specific structural position and constitutes an indispensable component of chemical formulae. On the other hand, nominally anhydrous minerals do not contain hydrogen in their chemical formulae, but can host trace amounts of water in structural position and lattice defect. The molecular water may occur in the lattice defect as fluid/melt inclusions in minerals. Even though the water content of nominally anhydrous minerals is very limited generally in the order of ppm(parts per million), they may play a significant role in influencing the physicochemical properties of mineral and rock systems. With the continuous improvement of modern instrumentations, the analytical methodology exhibits trends for higher spatial resolution, lower detection limit and integral multiple methods on the water amount and its isotopic ratio. Among these methods, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry remains the most widely used, while secondary ion mass spectrometry, continuous flow mass spectrometry, elastic recoil detection analysis and Raman spectrometry are promising.
