Flow separation control on swept wing with nanosecond pulse driven DBD plasma actuators显示文摘A 15° swept wing with dielectric barrier discharge plasma actuator is designed.Experimental study of flow separation control with nanosecond pulsed plasma actuation is performed at flow velocity up to 40 m/s. The effects of the actuation frequency and voltage on the aerodynamic performance of the swept wing are evaluated by the balanced force and pressure measurements in the wind tunnel. At last, the performances on separation flow control of the three types of actuators with plane and saw-toothed exposed electrodes are compared. The optimal actuation frequency for the flow separation control on the swept wing is detected, namely the reduced frequency is 0.775, which is different from 2-D airfoil separation control. There exists a threshold voltage for the low swept wing flow control. Before the threshold voltage, as the actuation voltage increases, the control effects become better. The maximum lift is increased by 23.1% with the drag decreased by 22.4% at 14°, compared with the base line. However, the best effects are obtained on actuator with plane exposed electrode in the low-speed experiment and the abilities of saw-toothed actuators are expected to be verified under high-speed conditions. | Zhao Guangyin Li Yinghong Liang Hua Han Menghu Wu Yun | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,2: | 10
Aerodynamic performance enhancement of a flying wing using nanosecond pulsed DBD plasma actuator显示文摘Experimental investigation of aerodynamic control on a 35 swept flying wing by means of nanosecond dielectric barrier discharge(NS-DBD) plasma was carried out at subsonic flow speed of 20–40 m/s, corresponding to Reynolds number of 3.1 · 105–6.2 · 105. In control condition, the plasma actuator was installed symmetrically on the leading edge of the wing. Lift coefficient, drag coefficient, lift-to-drag ratio and pitching moment coefficient were tested with and without control for a range of angles of attack. The tested results indicate that an increase of 14.5% in maximum lift coefficient, a decrease of 34.2% in drag coefficient, an increase of 22.4% in maximum lift-to-drag ratio and an increase of 2 at stall angle of attack could be achieved compared with the baseline case. The effects of pulsed frequency, amplitude and chord Reynolds number were also investigated. And the results revealed that control efficiency demonstrated strong dependence on pulsed frequency. Moreover, the results of pitching moment coefficient indicated that the breakdown of leading edge vortices could be delayed by plasma actuator at low pulsed frequencies. | Han Menghu Li Jun Niu Zhongguo Liang Hua Zhao Guangyin Hua Weizhuo | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,2: | 9

Mechanical performances and microstructural characteristics of reactive MgO-carbonated silt subjected to freezing-thawing cycles显示文摘The characteristics of reactive magnesia(MgO)-carbonated silt in respect to long-term stability have not been well understood in severely cold climate despite the usage of reactive MgO in enhancing the engineering performances.Under the binder content of 15%and initial water content of 25%,MgO-admixed silt specimens were carbonized for 3 h and 6 h and then subjected to different numbers of freezingthawing(F-T)cycles.After different F-T cycles, the physico-mechanical properties of MgO-carbonated silt were analyzed in comparison with Portland cement(PC)-stabilized silt through physical and unconfined compression tests.Besides,a series of micro tests on MgO-carbonated specimens was performed including X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)tests. The results demonstrate that both mass change ratio and moisture content of carbonated/stabilized silt decrease, and these values of MgO-carbonated silt are significantly lower while the density is higher compared to PC-stabilized silt. The strengths and moduli of MgO-carbonated silt are still two times higher than those of PC-stabilized specimens and the strength change ratio of keeps above0.8 after F-T cycles. There is no visible transformation between nesquehonite and dypingite/hydromagnesite,although the XRD peaks of nesquehonite decrease and the bonding and filling effects weaken slightly. After 6 and 10 F-T cycles, the pore-size characteristics changed from a unimodal distribution to a three-peak and bimodal distribution, respectively. The total, macro and large pore volumes increase obviously while the medium and small pore volumes decrease except for intra-aggregate pore. The findings show better F-T durability of MgO-carbonated silt, which would be helpful for facilitating the application of MgO carbonation in the soil treatment. | Guanghua Cai Songyu Liu Guangyin Du Zhen Chen Xu Zheng Jiangshan Li | 2021 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,4: | 3
Nano-micrometer surface roughness gradients reveal topographical influences on differentiating responses of vascular cells on biodegradable magnesium显示文摘Distinctively directing endothelial cells(ECs)and smooth muscle cells(SMCs),potentially by surface topography cue,is of central importance for enhancing bioefficacy of vascular implants. For the first time, surface gradients with a broad range of nano-micrometer roughness are developed on Mg,a promising next-generation biodegradable metal,to carry out a systematic study on the response of ECs and SMCs.Cell adhesion, spreading, and proliferation are quantified along gradients by high-throughput imaging, illustrating drastic divergence between ECs and SMCs,especially in highly rough regions. The profound role of surface topography overcoming the biochemical cue of released Mg2+is unraveled at different roughness ranges for ECs and SMCs.Further insights into the underlying regulatory mechanism are gained at subcellular and gene levels. Our work enables highefficient exploration of optimized surface morphology for modulating favored cell selectivity of promoting ECs and suppressing SMCs,providing a potential strategy to achieve rapid endothelialization for Mg. | Ke Zhou Yutong Li Lei Zhang Liang Jin Feng Yuan Jinyun Tan Guangyin Yuan Jia Pei | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,1: | 2

The relative and combined effects of herbivore assemblage and soil nitrogen on plant diversity显示文摘Plant diversity can be affected by both herbivore grazing and soil resources. However, it is unclear if the joint effects of herbivores and soil resources might vary with components of plant diversity. Here, we evaluated the relative and combined effects of herbivore assemblage and soil nitrogen(N) quantity and heterogeneity on the α and β components of plant diversity in a grassland that was subjected to four years of grazing under differing herbivore assemblages(no grazing, cattle grazing, sheep grazing, and mixed grazing). We found that herbivore assemblage combined with soil N quantity explained 41% of the variation in plant α-diversity, while herbivore assemblage combined with soil N heterogeneity explained 15% of the variation in plant β-diversity. The independent effects of herbivore assemblage explained more than those of soil N for both α-and β-diversity(α-diversity: 12% vs. 4%;β-diversity: 18% vs. 16%). We concluded that the effects of herbivores are stronger than those of soil N,and that grazing-induced changes in soil resources are important drivers of plant diversity change, especially α-diversity.Therefore, we suggest that managing herbivore species by accounting for the effects that their grazing can have on soil resources may be significant for plant diversity maintenance. | Minna Zhang Bai Liu Guangyin Li Yingying Kuang Xiuquan Yue Shicheng Jiang Jushan Liu Ling Wang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,4: | 1

Facile synthesis of the Mn_(3)O_(4)polyhedron grown on N-doped honeycomb carbon as high-performance negative material for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Because of their large volume variation and inferior electrical conductivity,Mn_(3)O_(4)-based oxide anode materials have short cyclic lives and poor rate capability, which obstructs their development. In this study,we successfully prepared a Mn_(3)O_(4)/N-doped honeycomb carbon composite using a smart and facile synthetic method. The Mn_(3)O_(4)nanopolyhedra are grown on N-doped honeycomb carbon, which evidently mitigates the volume change in the charging and discharging processes but also improves the electrochemical reaction kinetics.More importantly, the Mn-O-C bond in the Mn_(3)O_(4)/N-doped honeycomb carbon composite benefits electrochemical reversibility. These features of the Mn_(3)O_(4)/N-doped honeycomb carbon(NHC)composite are responsible for its superior electrochemical performance. When used for Li-ion batteries, the Mn_(3)O_(4)/N-doped honeycomb carbon anode exhibits a high reversible capacity of 598 mAh·g^(−1)after 350 cycles at 1 A·g^(−1).Even at 2 A·g^(−1),the Mn_(3)O_(4)/NHC anode still delivers a high capacity of 472 mAh·g^(−1).This work provides a new prospect for synthesizing and developing manganese-based oxide materials for energy storage. | Dan Zhang Chunyan Zhang Xuan Zheng Yizhuo Zhao Xinyu Shi Baomin Luo Yuzhu Li Guangyin Liu Xiaodi Liu Chuang Yu | 2023 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,6: | 0
Seismic Zonation of Central-Southern Hunan Province, China显示文摘Based on basic data used in compiling the Zonation Map of Earthquake Ground Motion Parameters in China, recent research on seismic safety assessment for engineering sites in central-southern Hunan Province, the new attenuation relationships of moderate earthquakes and the background seismicity data obtained by modern instrumental earthquake records since 1970, a new result of seismic zonation of central-southern Hunan Province is provided. The result shows that the area with PGA=0.05g has obviously increased in the new map compared with the previous one and is relatively consistent with the seismic disaster characteristics of moderate earthquakes that took place in the central-southern part of Hunan in recent years. This result will benefit the research and compilation of a new-generation seismic zonation map of earthquake ground motion parameters and the seismic hazard assessment in the moderate earthquake active regions in the central and eastern part of China. | Li Ying Xu Guangyin Chen Kun Gao Mengtan | 2007 | Earthquake Research in China2007,21,4: | 0
Dynamic stall control over a rotor airfoil based on AC DBD plasma actuation显示文摘At present, the control capability of dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma actuation covers the flow velocity range of helicopter’s retreating blades,so it is necessary to extend it to the dynamic stall control of rotor airfoils.A DBD plasma actuator was adopted to control the dynamic stall of an oscillating CRA309 airfoil in this paper. The effectiveness of alternating current(AC)DBD plasma actuation on reducing the area of lift hysteresis loop of the oscillating airfoil was verified through pressure measurements at a Reynolds number of 5.2×10^(5).The influence of actuation parameters on the airfoil’s lift and moment coefficients was studied. Both steady and unsteady actuation could effectively reduce the hysteresis loop area of the lift coefficients. The flow control effect of dynamic stall was strongly dependent on the history of angle of attack.Compared with the steady actuation, unsteady actuation had more obvious advantages in dynamic stall control, with reducing the area of lift hysteresis loop by more than 30%.The effects of plasma actuation on the airfoil’s flow field at both upward and downward stages were discussed at last. | Guangyin Zhao Yong Huang Yongdong Yang Guoqiang Li Hesen Yang | 2021 | Advances in Aerodynamics2021,3,1: | 0

Review on Research about Wake Effects of Offshore Wind Turbines显示文摘In recent years, the construction of offshore wind farms is developing rapidly. As the wake effect of the upstream wind turbines seriously affect the performance of the downstream wind turbines, the wake effect of offshore wind turbines has become one of the research hotspots.First, this article reviews the research methods of wake effects, including CFD numerical simulation method, wind turbine wake model based on roughness and engineering wake models. However, there is no general model that can be used directly. Then it puts forward some factors that affect the wake of offshore wind turbines. The turbulence intensity in offshore wind fields is lower than that in onshore wind fields. This makes the wake recovery length of offshore wind turbines longer than that of onshore wind turbines.Floating offshore wind turbines are simultaneously disturbed by wind loads and wave loads.Unsteady movement of the platform caused by wave loads. It affects the development and changes of the wake of wind turbines. In this regard, the focus of research on the wake effects of offshore wind farms will be the proposal of accurate prediction models for the wake effects of sea wind farms. | Yehong Dong Guangyin Tang Yan Jia Zekun Wang Xiaomin Rong Chang Cai Qingan Li Yingjian Yang | 2022 | Energy Engineering2022,119,4: | 0
