| 1 | Earth pressure balance control for EPB shield显示文摘This paper mainly deals with the critical technology of earth pressure balance (EPB) control in shield tunneling. On the assumption that the conditioned soil in the working chamber of the shield is plasticized, a theoretical principle for EPB control is proposed. Dynamic equilibrium of intake volume and discharge volume generated by thrust and discharge is modeled theoretically to simulate the earth pressure variation during excavating. The thrust system and the screw conveyor system for earth pressure control are developed based on the electro-hydraulic technique. The control models of the thrust speed regulation of the cylinders and the rotating speed adjustment of the screw conveyor are also presented. Simulation for earth pressure control is conducted with software AMESim and MATLAB/Simulink to verify the models. Experiments are carried out with intake control in clay soil and discharge control in sandy gravel section, respectively. | 2 | Compliance of hydraulic system and its applications in thrust system design of shield tunneling machine显示文摘As the most significant performance, compliance of hydraulic system is defined as the capacity to accommodate the sudden change of the external load. Due to the different requirements of the compliant tasks, the existing method for mechanical systems cannot be used in the analysis and design of the hydraulic system. In this paper, the definition and expression of compliance of hydraulic system are proposed to evaluate the compliance of the hydraulic system operating under sudden change load. Because the unexpected geological conditions during excavation may exert sudden change load to the shield tunneling machine, the compliance theory has found a right application in the thrust hydraulic system. By analyzing the basic operating principle and the commonly used architectures of the thrust hydraulic system, a compliance based thrust hydraulic system design method is presented. Moreover, a tunneling case is investigated in the paper as an example to expound the validation of design procedure. | 3 | A new calculation model of cutterhead torque and investigation of its influencing factors显示文摘Cutterhead torque is a crucial parameter for the design and operation of earth pressure balance(EPB) shield tunneling machine.However,the traditional calculation models of cutterhead torque are too rough or exist gross errors under variable geological conditions.In order to improve the precision of the calculation model of cutterhead torque,dynamic operation parameters are considered and a new model is proposed.Experiment is carried out on a 1.8 m shield machine test rig and the calculating result with the new model is compared with the experimental data to verify the validity of the new model.The relative error of the new model is as low as 4% at smooth stage and is reduced to 5% at the end of trembling stage.Based on the results of the new model and the test data obtained from the 1.8 m test rig and the construction site,the inner relationships between several operation parameters and cutterhead torque are investigated and some quantitative conclusions are obtained. | WANG LinTao GONG GuoFang SHI Hu YANG HuaYong | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,6: | 6 |
| 4 | Genome-and transcriptome-wide association studies provide insights into the genetic basis of natural variation of seed oil content in Brassica napus显示文摘Seed oil content(SOC)is a highly important and complex trait in oil crops.Here,we decipher the genetic basis of natural variation in SOC of Brassica napus by genome-and transcriptome-wide association studies using 505 inbred lines.We mapped reliable quantitative trait loci(QTLs)that control SOC in eight environments,evaluated the effect of each QTL on SOC,and analyzed selection in QTL regions during breeding.Six-hundred and ninety-two genes and four gene modules significantly associated with SOC were identified by analyzing population transcriptomes from seeds.A gene prioritization framework,POCKET(prioritizing the candidate genes by incorporating information on knowledge-based gene sets,effects of variants,genome-wide association studies,and transcriptome-wide association studies),was implemented to determine the causal genes in the QTL regions based on multi-omic datasets.A pair of homologous genes,BnPMT6s,in two QTLs were identified and experimentally demonstrated to negatively regulate SOC.This study provides rich genetic resources for improving SOC and valuable insights toward understanding the complex machinery that directs oil accumulation in the seeds of B.napus and other oil crops. | Shan Tang Hu Zhao Shaoping Lu Liangqian Yu Guofang Zhang Yuting Zhang Qing-Yong Yang Yongming Zhou Xuemin Wang Wei Ma Weibo Xie Liang Guo | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,3: | 6 |
| 5 | TCP7 functions redundantly with several Class Ⅰ TCPs and regulates endoreplication in Arabidopsis显示文摘TCP(TEOSINTE BRANCHED1/CYCLOIDEA/PROLIFERATING CELL FACTOR) proteins, a family of plantspecific transcription factors, play important roles in many developmental processes. However, genetic and functional redundancy among class I TCP limits the analysis of their biological roles. Here, we identified a dominantnegative mutant of Arabidopsis thaliana TCP7 named leaf curling-upward(lcu), which exhibits smaller leaf cells and shorter hypocotyls than the wild type, due to defective endoreplication. A septuple loss-of-function mutant of TCP7, TCP8, TCP14, TCP15, TCP21, TCP22, and TCP23 displayed similar developmental defects to those of lcu.Genome-wide RNA-sequencing showed that lcu and the septuple mutant share many misexpressed genes.Intriguingly, TCP7 directly targets the CYCLIN D1;1 (CYCD1;1) locus and activates its transcription. We determined that the C-terminus of TCP7 accounts for its transcriptional activation activity. Furthermore, the mutant protein LCU exhibited reduced transcriptional activation activity due to the introduction of an EAR-like repressive domain at its C-terminus. | 6 | APOE and APOC1 gene polymorphisms are associated with cognitive impairment progression in Chinese patients with late-onset Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Current evidence shows that apolipoprotein E(APOE), apolipoprotein CI(APOC1) and low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein(LRP) variations are related to late-onset Alzheimer's disease. However, it remains unclear if genetic polymorphisms in these genes are associated with cognitive decline in late-onset Alzheimer's disease patients. We performed a 30-month longitudinal cohort study to investigate the relationship between Alzheimer's disease and APOE, APOC1, and LRP. In this study, 78 Chinese Han patients with late-onset Alzheimer's disease were recruited form Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China. APOE, APOC1, and LRP genotyping was performed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphisms. The Mini-Mental State Examination and Clinical Dementia Rating Scale were used to assess patients' cognitive function. After a 30-month follow-up period, we found a significant reduction in Mini-Mental State Examination total score, a higher proportion of patients fulfilling cognitive impairment progression criteria, and a higher proportion of APOC1 H2 carriers in APOE ε4 carriers compared with non-carriers. In addition, the APOE ε4 allele frequency was significantly higher in the cognitive impairment progression group compared with the non-cognitive impairment progression group. | 9 | Impact of COVID-2019 on stroke services in China: survey from the Chinese Stroke Association显示文摘Background The COVID-19 pandemic and physical distancing guidelines have compelled stroke practices worldwide to reshape their delivery of care significantly.We aimed to illustrate how the stroke services were interrupted during the pandemic in China.Methods A 61-item questionnaire designed on Wenjuanxing Form was completed by doctors or nurses who were involved in treating patients with stroke from 1 February to 31 March 2020.Results A total of 415 respondents completed the online survey after informed consent was obtained.Of the respondents,37.8%,35.2%and 27.0%were from mild,moderate and severe epidemic areas,respectively.Overall,the proportion of severe impact(reduction>50%)on the admission of transient ischaemic stroke,acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)and intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH)was 45.0%,32.0%and 27.5%,respectively.Those numbers were 36.9%,27.9%and 22.3%;36.5%,22.1%and 22.6%;and 66.4%,47.5%and 41.1%in mild,moderate and severe epidemic areas,respectively(all p<0.0001).For AIS,thrombolysis was moderate(20%-50%reduction)or severely impacted(>50%),as reported by 54.4%of the respondents,while thrombectomy was 39.3%.These were 44.4%,26.3%;44.2%,39.4%;and 78.2%,56.5%,in mild,moderate and severe epidemic areas,respectively(all p<0.0001).For patients with acute ICH,39.8%reported the impact was severe or moderate for those eligible for surgery who had surgery.Those numbers were 27.4%,39.0%and 58.1%in mild,moderate and severe epidemic areas,respectively.For staff resources,about 20%(overall)to 55%(severe epidemic)of the respondents reported moderate or severe impact on the on-duty doctors and nurses.Conclusion We found a significant reduction of admission for all types of patients with stroke during the pandemic.Patients were less likely to receive appropriate care,for example,thrombolysis/thrombectomy,after being admitted to the hospital.Stroke service in severe COVID-19 epidemic areas,for example,Wuhan,was much more severely impacted compared with other regions in China. | Xia Wang Menglu Ouyang Cheryl Carcel Chen Chen Lingli Sun Jie Yang Yao Zhang Guofang Chen Shoujiang You Yongjun Cao Lu Ma Xin Hu Yi Sui Craig Anderson Lili Song Yongjun Wang David Wang | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,4: | 2 |

| 20 | Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor‑Recruiting Nanofiber Bandages Promote Multifunctional Skin Regeneration via Improved Angiogenesis and Immunomodulation显示文摘Tissue injury leads to gradients of chemoattractants,which drive multiple processes for tissue repair,including the inflam-matory response as well as endogenous cell recruitment.However,a limited time window for the gradients of chemoattract-ants as well as their poor stability at the injury site may not translate into healthy tissue repair.Consequently,intelligent multifunctional scaffolds with the capability to stabilize injury-induced cytokines and chemokines hold great promise for tissue repair.Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)plays a significant role in wound healing by promoting angiogen-esis.The overarching objective of this research was to develop intelligent multifunctional scaffolds with the capability to endogenously recruit VEGF and promote wound healing via angiogenic and immunomodulatory dual functions.Prominin-1-derived peptide(PR1P)was encapsulated into electrospun poly(L-lactide-coglycolide)/gelatin(P/G)-based bandages.The sustained release of PR1P recruited VEGF in situ,thereby stabilizing the protein concentration peak in vivo and affording a reparative microenvironment with an adequate angiogenic ability at the wound site.Meanwhile,PR1P-recruited VEGF-induced macrophage reprogramming towards M2-like phenotypes further conferred immunomodulatory functions to the bandages.These dual functions of proangiogenesis and immunomodulation formed a cascade amplification,which regulated matrix metalloproteinases(MMP-9)as well as inflammatory factors(nuclear factor(NF)-κb,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α)in the wound microenvironment via the VEGF/macrophages/microenvironment axis.Consequently,the bandages realized multifunctional regeneration in splinted excisional wounds in rats,with or without diabetes,affording a higher skin append-age neogenesis,sensory function,and collagen remodeling.Conclusively,our approach encompassing in situ recruitment of VEGF at the injury site with the capability to promote immunomodulation-mediated tissue repair affords a promising avenue for scarless wound regeneration,which may also have implications for other tissue engineering disciplines. | Yi Chen Zhengchao Yuan Weiyan Sun Muhammad Shafiq Jun Zhu Jiafei Chen Hai Tang Ling Hu Weikang Lin Yanxi Zeng Long Wang Lei Zhang Yunlang She Hui Zheng Guofang Zhao Dong Xie Xiumei Mo Chang Chen | 2023 | Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,1: | 1 |
