| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework 8-Derived Au@ZnO for Efficient and Robust Photocatalytic Degradation of Tetracycline显示文摘Summary of main observation and conclusion Tetracycline (TC) and other antibiotics accumulated in groundwater and soil pollute ecological environment and threaten human health. Gold nan oparticles doped on photocatalysts are able to enhance the photodegradation efficiency during removing these antibiotics, but preparation of Au nanoparticles of well-dispersion on photocatalysts remains challenging. In this work, zeolite imidazolate (ZIF-8) was employed as the precursor to prepare Au@ZnO photocatalyst via impregnation and in-situ reduction method to efficiently degrade the tetracycline in the aqueous solution. Au nanoparticles are of 10 nm in size and uniformly dispersed on the surfaces of ZnO microstructures. The as-prepared Au@ZnO is able to remove 85.5% of TC of 0.010 mg/mL within 2h, presenting higher photocatalytic activity than pure ZnO catalyst. Most importantly, the catalyst shows its superior stability after five cycles without structure and activity changing. | 3 | Effects of preventive acupuncture or moxibustion at the Guanyuan acupoint on expression of interleukin-2 and its receptors in hypothalamus, serum, and uterus of menopausal rats显示文摘BACKGROUND: Previous studies have indicated preventive acupuncture and moxibustion at the Guanyuan point have positive effects on the immune system of menopausal rats. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of preventive acupuncture or moxibustion at the Guanyuan point on interleukin-2 (IL-2) and its receptor (IL-2R mRNA) levels in hypothalamus, serum, and uterus of menopausal rats. DESIGN: Randomized control animal experiment. SETTING: School of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. MATERIALS: This study was performed at the Laboratory of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from November 2004 to July 2005. The vaginal smear method was used to determine the estrus cycle of 9.5-month-old Sprague Dawley (SD) female rats. Three continuous estrus cycles were measured, and 160 rats with estrus cycle disorder, weighing (300 ± 20) g, were included in this study. The rats were randomly divided into four groups: preventive acupuncture group (n =48), preventive moxibustion group (n =48), model groups (n =48), and 10-month-old group (n =16). Sixteen 3.5-month-old healthy SD female rats, weighing (240 ± 20) g, were also assigned to the young group. All rats were clean grade and were purchased from the Laboratory Animal Center, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. The experiment was in accordance with animal ethics standards. METHODS: Acupuncture was applied to the preventive acupuncture group at 10 months of age. The needle was inserted upward and perpendicularly two fen to a point that was two fen below the Guanyuan point. The rats freely moved around during needle retention (20 minutes). Acupuncture was administered twice a week and continued for eight weeks. A moxa cone (small) moxibustion was applied to the preventive moxibustion group at 10 months of age. The rats were caught gently and kept at the same position as the preventive acupuncture group. The moxa cone was ignited and held to the Guanyuan point directly. Only one moxa cone was used each time. After moxibustion, the local skin turned slightly red. Moxibustion was used twice a week and continued for eight weeks. Nothing except gently catching and lying was administered to the model group and the young group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Radioimmunoassay, in situ hybridization, and similar methods were employed to detect IL-2 in serum and the uterus, as well as IL-2R mRNA expression in the hypothalamus and uterus arcuate nuclei, of the preventive acupuncture group, preventive moxibustion group, model groups (at 12, 14, and 16 months), 10 month old group (at 10 months), and the young group (at 4 months). RESULTS: All 176 rats were included in the final analysis. ① IL-2R mRNA: IL-2R mRNA expression decreased significantly in the uterus of 12-, 14-, and 16-month-old model groups and in the hypothalamus of 14- and 16-month-old model groups (P < 0.05-0.01). Compared to the same month-aged model groups, the expression of IL-2R mRNA increased significantly in the hypothalamus and uterus of 16-month-old preventive acupuncture or moxibustion groups (P < 0.05-0.01).② IL-2: IL-2 in serum of 12- and 14-month-old model groups and in the uterus of 12-, 14-, and 16-month-old model groups decreased significantly compared to the young group (P < 0.05-0.01). IL-2 serum levels increased significantly in the 16-month-old group with preventive moxibustion; in addition, IL-2 expression levels increased significantly in the uterus of the 12-month-old group with preventive moxibustion, as well as the 12- and 16-month-old groups with preventive acupuncture (P < 0.05-0.01). CONCLUSION: As a rat ages and becomes menopausal, IL-2R mRNA expression in the hypothalamus anduterus, as well as IL-2 levels in the serum and uterus, decrease. However, preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion can repress the decrease to some extent. | 4 | Impact of Meteorological Drought on Streamflow Drought in Jinghe River Basin of China显示文摘Under global climate change, drought has become one of the most serious natural hazards, affecting the ecological environment and human life. Drought can be categorized as meteorological, agricultural, hydrological or socio-economic drought. Among the different categories of drought, hydrological drought, especially streamflow drought, has been given more attention by local governments, researchers and the public in recent years. Identifying the occurrence of streamflow drought and issuing early warning can provide timely information for effective water resources management. In this study, streamflow drought is detected by using the Standardized Runoff Index, whereas meteorological drought is detected by the Standardized Precipitation Index. Comparative analyses of frequency, magnitude, onset and duration are conducted to identify the impact of meteorological drought on streamflow drought. This study focuses on the Jinghe River Basin in Northwest China, mainly providing the following findings. 1) Eleven meteorological droughts and six streamflow droughts were indicated during 1970 and 1990 after pooling using Inter-event time and volume Criterion method. 2) Streamflow drought in the Jinghe River Basin lagged meteorological drought for about 127 days. 3) The frequency of streamflow drought in Jinghe River Basin was less than meteorological drought. However, the average duration of streamflow drought is longer. 4) The magnitude of streamflow drought is greater than meteorological drought. Results: Contrasted with breast cancer differentiated cells, the expressions of MDR1 and BCRP in breast cancer stem cells were higher (P < 0.01), and the proportion of stem cells rose after chemotherapy (P < 0.01). There were no significant differences in the soil Mg,Fe and Na contents between the vineyards in the two regions. In short,all the soil indicators of the vineyard in Ninghe District were better than those in Hangu District except the indicator of soil salt content. | 13 | Negative effect on molecular planarity to achieve organic ternary memory: triphenylamine as the spacer显示文摘Adjusting the spacers between the electron-acceptor and the elector-donor is important to design organic ternary memory material but rarely reported. In this paper, two small molecules, ZIPGA and ZIPCAD with benzene ring or triphenylamine as the spacers,were designed and synthesized to fabricate memory devices. The Al/ZIPGA/indium-tin oxide (ITO) device showed ternary characteristics, whereas Al/ZIPCAD/ITO had no obvious memory characteristics. Density functional theory calculation, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were employed to interpret the different memory properties. ZIPGA thin film has the closer intermolecular packing and flatter surface morphology than ZIPCAD film, which was favorable to the electron migration. | 15 | Selective separation of oil-in-water emulsion with high efficiency by bio-inspired Janus membrane显示文摘The efficient and rapid separation of oil from stabilized oil-in-water emulsions with micro/nanometer size is a global challenge.Owing to the low oil content in oil-in-water emulsions,separating the oil by simply controlling the surface wettability is difficult.Controlling the pore size of the membrane surface to achieve separation will lead to a sharp decrease in flux.Herein,inspired by cell membrane transportation,a hydrophilic/hydrophobic bifunctional Janus membrane for stable oil-in-water separation was prepared by simple surface polymerization and vapor diffusion.The prepared Janus membrane contained a hydrophobic side and hydrophilic polyamine layer.When used for oil-in-water emulsion separation,the polyamine layer accumulated micro/nanometer oil droplets,forming an oil layer on the hydrophobic surface.Water was retained by the 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyl trichlorosilane layer,allowing oil droplets to selectively permeate through the membrane,achieving the separation effect.As the pore size of the modified fabric was basically unchanged,the permeation flux was fast(1.53×10^(3) Lm^(−2) h^(−1)).Furthermore,the poly(N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate)layer destroyed the emulsion stability,making the emulsion droplets aggregate without affecting the separation efficiency with fast permeation flux.Therefore,the prepared bifunctional Janus membrane shows great potential for actual wastewater treatment. | CAI YaHui CHEN DongYun LI NaJun XU QingFeng LI Hua HE JingHui LU JianMei | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,10: | 0 |
| 16 | Functional dissociation of the left ventral occipito-temporal cortex in the direct and indirect retrieval of color features显示文摘Previous studies suggest that the storage/retrieval of object features is related to brain regions that are involved in the processing of these features.However,it remains unclear whether,and under what conditions,retrieving information about a feature reactivates the same region that specifically supports that feature's perception.In this functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) study,we compared brain activation in the left ventral occipito-temporal cortex during subjects performing a color perception task,and direct and indirect color retrieval tasks.After performing the color perception task to localize the regions responsible for color perception,subjects were intensively trained(outside of the scanner) to remember associations between colors and motion directions,and associations between colors and letters.Then,they were asked to perform two color retrieval tasks in the scanner,with stationary and gray scaled images as control stimuli.The results showed that the bilateral posterior occipito-temporal cortex was activated during the color perception task.When color information was retrieved by direct cues(motion direction),the same bilateral occipito-temporal region was activated. | 17 | Vulnerability of Regional Aviation Networks Based on DBSCAN and Complex Networks显示文摘To enhance the accuracy of performance analysis of regional airline network,this study applies complex network theory and Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise(DBSCAN)algorithm to investigate the topology of regional airline network,constructs node importance index system,and clusters 161 airport nodes of regional airline network.Besides,entropy power method and approximating ideal solution method(TOPSIS)is applied to comprehensively evaluate the importance of airport nodes and complete the classification of nodes and identification of key points;adopt network efficiency,maximum connectivity subgraph and network connectivity as vulnerability measurement indexes,and observe the changes of vulnerability indexes of key nodes under deliberate attacks and 137 nodes under random attacks.The results demonstrate that the decreasing trend of the maximum connectivity subgraph indicator is slower and the decreasing trend of the network efficiency and connectivity indicators is faster when the critical nodes of the regional airline network are deliberately attacked.Besides,the decreasing trend of the network efficiency indicator is faster and the decreasing trend of the maximum connectivity subgraph indicator is slower when the nodes of four different categories are randomly attacked.Finally,it is proposed to identify and focus on protecting critical nodes in order to better improve the security level of regional airline system. | Hang He Wanggen Liu Zhenhan Zhao Shan Heand Jinghui Zhang | 2022 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2022,43,11: | 0 |
| 18 | Determination of telomerase activity in stem cells and non-stem cells of breast cancer显示文摘Although all normal tissue cells,including stem cells,are genetically homologous,variation in gene expression patterns has already determined the distinct roles for individual cells in the physiological process due to the occurrence of epigenetic modification.This is of special importance for the existence of tissue stem cells because they are exclusively immortal within the body,capable of selfreplicating and differentiating by which tissues renew and repair itself and the total tissue cell population maintains a steady-state.Impairment of tissue stem cells is usually accompanied by a reduction in cell number,slows down the repair process and causes hypofunction.For instance,chemotherapy usually leads to depression of bone marrow and hair loss.Cellular aging is closely associated with the continuous erosion of the telomere while activation of telomerase repairs and maintains telomeres,thus slowing the aging process and prolonging cell life.In normal adults,telomerase activation mainly presents in tissue stem cells and progenitor cells giving them unlimited growth potential.Despite the extensive demonstration of telomerase activation in malignancy(>80%),scientists found that heterogeneity also exists among the tumor cells and only minorities of cells,designated as cancer stem cells,undergo processes analogous to the self-renewal and differentiation of normal stem cells while the rest have limited lifespans.In this study,telomerase activity was measured and compared in breast cancer stem cells and non-stem cells that were phenotypically sorted by examining surface marker expression.The results indicated that cancer stem cells show a higher level of enzyme activity than non-stem cells.In addition,associated with the repair of cancer tissue(or relapse)after chemotherapy,telomerase activity in stem cells was markedly increased. | LI Zhi HE Yanli ZHANG Jiahua ZHANG Jinghui HUANG Tao | 2007 | Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,3: | 0 |

| 20 | Pt–Pd bimetallic nanoparticles anchored on uniform mesoporous MnO_(2) sphere as an advanced nanocatalyst for highly efficient toluene oxidation显示文摘Improving catalytic performance is a yet still challenge in thermal catalytic oxidation.Herein,uniform mesoporous MnO_(2) nanospheresupported bimetallic Pt–Pd nanoparticles were successfully fabricated via a SiO_(2) template strategy for the total catalytic degradation of volatile organic compounds at low temperature.The introduction of mesopores into the MnO_(2) support induces a large specific surface area and pore size,thus providing numerous accessible active sites and enhanced diffusion properties.Moreover,the addition of a secondary noble metal can adjust the O_(ads)/O_(latt) molar ratios,resulting in high catalytic activity.Among them,the catalyst having a Pt/Pd molar ratio of 7:3 exhibits optimized catalytic activity at a weight hourly space velocity of 36,000 mL g^(-1) h^(-1),reaching 100%toluene oxidation at 175℃ with a lower activation energy(57.0 kJ mol^(-1))than the corresponding monometallic Pt or non-Pt-based catalysts(93.8 kJ mol^(-1) and 214.2 kJ mol^(-1)).Our findings demonstrate that the uniform mesoporous MnO_(2) nanosphere-supported bimetallic Pt–Pd nanoparticles catalyst is an effective candidate for application in elimination of toluene. | Jiaqin He Dongyun Chen Najun Li Qingfeng Xu Hua Li Jinghui He Jianmei Lu | 2022 | Green Energy & Environment2022,7,6: | 0 |
