1Chinese consensus guidelines for diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal stromal tumor显示文摘In order to further promote the standardization of diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) in China, the members of Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) Expert Committee on GIST thoroughly discussed the key contents of the consensus guidelines, and voted on the controversial issue. In final, the Chinese consensus guidelines for the diagnosis and management of GIST(2017 edition) was formed on the basis of 2013 edition consensus guidelines, which is hereby announced. 2Prognostic value of systemic immune.inflammation index in patients with gastric cancer显示文摘Background:Inflammation-based indexes have been used to predict survival and recurrence in cancer patients.Systemic immune-inflammation index(Sll) was reported to be associated with prognosis in some malignant tumors.In the present study,we aimed to explore the association between Sll and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed data from 444 gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between January 1994 and December 2005.Preoperative Sll was calculated.The Chi square test or Fisher's exact test was used to determine the relationship between preoperative Sll and clinicopathologic characteristics.Overall survival(OS) rates were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method,and the effect of Sll on OS was analyzed using the Cox proportional hazards model.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were used to compare the predictive ability of Sll,NLR,and PLR.Results:Sll equal to or higher than 660 was significantly associated with old age,large tumor size,unfavorable Borrmann classification,advanced tumor invasion,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis,advanced TNM stage,and high carcino-embryonic antigen level,high neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio,and high platelet-lymphocyte ratio(all P<0.05).High Sll was significantly associated with unfavorable prognosis(P<0.001) and Sll was an independent predictor for OS(P=0.015).Subgroups analysis further showed significant associations between high Sll and short OS in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ subgroups(all P<0.05).Sll was superior to NLR and PLR for predicting OS in patients with gastric cancer.Conclusion:Preoperative Sll level is an independent prognostic factor for OS in patients with gastric cancer.Kang Wang Feiyu Diao Zhijun Ye Xinhua Zhang Ertao Zhai Hui Ren Tong Li Hui Wu Yulong He Shirong Cai Jianhui Chen 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer2017,36,9:30
3Use of ^(15)N stable isotope to quantify nitrogen transfer between mycorrhizal plants显示文摘Aims Mycorrhizas(fungal roots)play vital roles in plant nutrient acquisition,performance and productivity in terrestrial ecosystems.Arbuscular mycorrhizas(AM)and ectomycorrhizas(EM)are mostly important since soil nutrients,including NH+4,NO3 and phosphorus,are translocated from mycorrhizal fungi to plants.Individual species,genera and even families of plants could be interconnected by mycorrhizal mycelia to form common mycorrhizal networks(CMNs).The function of CMNs is to provide pathways for movement or transfer of nutrients from one plant to another.In the past four decades,both ^(15)N external labeling or enrichment(usually expressed as atom%)and ^(15)N naturally occurring abundance(d^(15)N,&)techniques have been employed to trace the direction and magnitude of N transfer between plants,with their own advantages and limitations.Important Findings The heavier stable isotope ^(15)N is discriminated against 14N during biochemical,biogeochemical and physiological processes,due to a greater atomic mass.In general,non-N2-fixing plants had greater d^(15)N values than N2-fixing(;0&)ones.Foliar d^(15)N often varied by 5 to 10&in the order:non-mycorrhizas/AMs>EMs>ericoid mycorrhizas.Differences in d^(15)N(&)or ^(15)N(atom%)values could thus provide N transfer information between plants.A range of between 0 to 80%of one-way N transfer had been observed from N2-fixing mycorrhizal to non-N2-fixing mycorrhizal plants,but generally less than or around 10%in the reverse direction.Plant-to-plant N transfer may provide practical implications for plant performance in N-limited habitats.Considering that N translocation or cycling is crucial,and the potential benefits of N transfer are great in both agricultural and natural ecosystems,more research is warranted on either oneway or two-way N transfers mediated by CMNs with different species and under field conditions.Xinhua He Minggang Xu Guo Yu Qiu Jianbin Zhou 2009Journal of Plant Ecology2009,2,3:14
4Secure Sensitive Data Sharing on a Big Data Platform显示文摘Users store vast amounts of sensitive data on a big data platform. Sharing sensitive data will help enterprises reduce the cost of providing users with personalized services and provide value-added data services.However, secure data sharing is problematic. This paper proposes a framework for secure sensitive data sharing on a big data platform, including secure data delivery, storage, usage, and destruction on a semi-trusted big data sharing platform. We present a proxy re-encryption algorithm based on heterogeneous ciphertext transformation and a user process protection method based on a virtual machine monitor, which provides support for the realization of system functions. The framework protects the security of users' sensitive data effectively and shares these data safely. 5Effects of High-temperature Char Layer and Pyrolysis Gas on NOx Reduction in a Typical Decoupling Combustion Coal-fired Stove显示文摘The suppression of nitrogen oxides(NO_x) is the key to reducing pollutant emission of a domestic coal-fired stove due to the limitation of technology condition and economic cost. The decoupling combustion(DC) technology invented by Institute of Process Engineering(IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) is characterized by that a traditional stove is separated into a pyrolysis and a combustion chamber as well as a bottom passage between them. In this study, the combustion of briquette from bituminous coal in different operation modes in a typical decoupling stove is tested and simulated to validate the advantage of DC technology over so-called reverse combustion. The smokeless and high-efficiency combustion of bituminous briquette with low emissions of NO_x and CO can be implemented by utilizing low NO_x combustion under low temperature and reduction atmosphere in the pyrolysis chamber as well as after-combustion of char and pyrolysis gas under high temperature and oxidation atmosphere in the combustion chamber. 6Cadmium pollution enhanced ozone damage to winter wheat:biochemical and physiological evidences显示文摘Combined effects of ozone (O3) and cadmium (Cd) on growth and physiology of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.cv.JM22) were determined.Wheat plants were grown without or with Cd and exposed to charcoal-filtered air (< 10 ppb O3) or elevated O 3 (80 ± 5 ppb,7 hr/day) for 20 days.Results showed that O 3 considerably depressed light saturated net photosynthetic rate (-20%),stomatal conductance (-33%),chlorophyll content (-33%),and total biomass (-29%) without Cd.The corresponding decreases were further enhanced by 45%,56%,60% and 59%,respectively with Cd,indicating a synergistic effect of O3 and Cd on wheat.Ozone significantly increased the activity of superoxide dismutase (46%),catalase (48%) and peroxidase (56%).However,great increases in malondialdehyde (MDA) content (2.55 folds) and intercellular CO2 concentration (1.13 folds) were noted in O3 +Cd treatment compared to control.Our findings demonstrated that the increased anti-oxidative activities in wheat plants exposed to O3 +Cd might not be enough to overcome the adverse effects of the combination of both pollutants as evidenced by further increase in MDA content,which is an important indicator of lipid peroxidation.Precise prediction model on O3 damages to crop should be conducted to ensure agricultural production security by considering environmental constraints in an agricultural system in peri-urban regions.Yong Li Caihong Li Yanhai Zheng Guanglei Wu Tana Wuyun Hong Xu Xinhua He Gaoming Jiang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:7

10Insight into the distribution of metallic elements in membrane bioreactor: Influence of operational temperature and role of extracellular polymeric substances显示文摘The distribution of metallic elements in a submerged membrane bioreactor(MBR) was revealed at different temperatures using inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES), and the role of extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) was probed by integrating scanning electron microscopy(SEM) with confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM) over long-term operation. More metallic elements in the influent were captured by suspended sludge and built up in the fouling layer at lower temperature. The concentration of metallic elements in the effluent was 5.60 mg/L at 10°C operational temperature, far lower than that in the influent(51.35 mg/L). The total contents of metallic elements in suspended sludge and the membrane fouling layer increased to 40.20 and 52.19 mg/g at 10°C compared to 35.14 and 32.45 mg/g at 30°C, and were dominated by the organically bound fraction. The EPS contents in suspended sludge and membrane fouling layer sharply increased to 37.88 and 101.51 mg/g at 10°C, compared to 16.87 and 30.03 mg/g at 30°C. The increase in EPS content at lower temperature was responsible for the deposition of more metallic ions. The strong bridging between EPS and metallic elements at lower temperature enhanced the compactness of the fouling layer and further decreased membrane flux. 11Demographic trade-offs determine species abundance and diversity显示文摘Aims Much recent theory has focused on the role of neutral processes in assembling communities,but the basic assumption that all species are demographically identical has found little empirical support.Here,we show that the framework of the current neutral theory can easily be generalized to incorporate species differences so long as fitness equivalence among individuals is maintained through trade-offs between birth and death.Methods Our theory development is based on a careful reformulation of the Moran model of metacommunity dynamics in terms of a non-linear one-step stochastic process,which is described by a master equation.Important Findings We demonstrate how fitness equalization through demographic trade-offs can generate significant macroecological diversity patterns,leading to a very different interpretation of the relation between Fisher’s a and Hubbell’s fundamental biodiversity number.Our model shows that equal fitness(not equal demographics)significantly promotes species diversity through strong selective sieving of community membership against high-mortality species,resulting in a positive association between species abundance and per capita death rate.An important implication of demographic trade-off is that it can partly explain the excessively high speciation rates predicted by the neutral theory of the stronger symmetry.Fitness equalization through demographic trade-offs generalizes neutral theory by considering heterospecific demographic difference,thus representing a significant step toward integrating the neutral and niche paradigms of biodiversity.Da-Yong Zhang Bo-Yu Zhang Kui Lin Xinhua Jiang Yi Tao Stephen Hubbell Fangliang He Annette Ostling 2012Journal of Plant Ecology2012,5,1:4
12Different responses of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal community to day-time and night-time warming in a semiarid steppe显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM) fungi form mutualistic symbioses with most plant species and play important roles in ecosystems.Knowledge of the response of AM fungi to temperature change will improve our understanding of the function of AM fungal community under global climate change scenarios in ecosystems.The effects of constant warming on AM fungal communities have been investigated previously,but responses to asymmetrical warming over 24-h periods have never been documented in natural ecosystems.In this study,we examined AM fungal communities in a full factorial design including day-time and night-time warming in a semiarid steppe in northern China.Day-time and 24-h warming,but not night-time warming,significantly increased AM fungal spore density.In contrast,none of the three warming regimes had a significant effect on AM fungal extra radical hyphal density.Atotal of 161 operational taxonomic units(OTUs) of AM fungi were recovered by 454 pyrosequencing of 18 S r DNA.Day-time,night-time,and 24-h warming all significantly increased AM fungal OTU richness.Some AM fungal OTUs showed a significant bias toward day-time,night-time or24-h warming.The AM fungal community composition was significantly affected by night-time warming,but not by day-time and 24-h warming.Our finding highlighted different responses of AM fungal spore density and community composition to asymmetrical warming.This study might improve our understanding of ecosystem functioning of AM fungal community under global climate change scenarios in a semiarid steppe ecosystem.Yongchan Kim Cheng Gao Yong Zheng Wei Yang Liang Chen Xinhua He Shiqiang Wan Liang-Dong Guo 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,35:4

14Factors affecting potassium fixation in seven soils under 15-year long-term fertilization显示文摘Potassium (K) fixation by seven soils, including black soil, fluvo-aquic soil, grey desert soil, loess soil, paddy soil, red soil and purple soil, was determined by laboratory simulation under a fifteen-year-period of long-term fertilization. Factors affecting soil K fixation were then discussed by factor analysis and stepwise regression. Magnitude of soil K fixation rate was as follows: the black soil > the purple soil > the loess soil > the fluvo-aquic soil > the paddy soil > the grey desert soil > the red soil. Our results showed that soil K fixation capacity was significantly affected by the clay mineral types in the soils. Potassium fixation capacity of soils, whose 2:1 layer silicates were dominant minerals, was af- fected by two components extracted by the method of principal component analysis: the first including soil available K, slow available K and K+ saturation, and the second including cation exchange capacity (CEC), soil organic matter (SOM) and <0.002 mm clay contents. 15Spatio-temporal Variation of Soil Respiration and Its Driving Factors in Semi-arid Regions of North China显示文摘Soil respiration(SR) is the second-largest flux in ecosystem carbon cycling. Due to the large spatio-temporal variability of environmental factors, SR varied among different vegetation types, thereby impeding accurate estimation of CO_2 emissions via SR. However, studies on spatio-temporal variation of SR are still scarce for semi-arid regions of North China. In this study, we conducted 12-month SR measurements in six land-use types, including two secondary forests(Populus tomentosa(PT) and Robinia pseudoacacia(RP)), three artificial plantations(Armeniaca sibirica(AS), Punica granatum(PG) and Ziziphus jujuba(ZJ)) and one natural grassland(GR), to quantify spatio-temporal variation of SR and distinguish its controlling factors. Results indicated that SR exhibited distinct seasonal patterns for the six sites. Soil respiration peaked in August 2012 and bottomed in April 2013. The temporal coefficient of variation(CV) of SR for the six sites ranged from 76.98% to 94.08%, while the spatial CV of SR ranged from 20.28% to 72.97% across the 12-month measurement. Soil temperature and soil moisture were the major controlling factors of temporal variation of SR in the six sites, while spatial variation in SR was mainly caused by the differences in soil total nitrogen(STN), soil organic carbon(SOC), net photosynthesis rate, and fine root biomass. Our results show that the annual average SR and Q_(10)(temperature sensitivity of soil respiration) values tended to decrease from secondary forests and grassland to plantations, indicating that the conversion of natural ecosystems to man-made ecosystems may reduce CO_2 emissions and SR temperature sensitivity. 17Fabrication of porous alumina templates with a large-scale tunable interpore distance in a H_2C_2O_4-C_2H_5OH-H_2O solution显示文摘Highly ordered porous alumina templates with a large-scale tunable interpore distance (100―445 nm) have been successfully fabricated under an electric field of 40―180 V by modifying oxalic acid solution with adequate alcohol. The results under our experimental conditions show that the phenomena of burning and breakdown during the high-field anodization process can be avoided by adding a proper amount of alcohol to the oxalic acid solution. 18Network pharmacology analysis to explore mechanism of Three Flower Tea against nonalcoholic fatty liver disease with experimental support using high-fat diet-induced rats显示文摘Objective:Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has become a common chronic liver disease that is harmful to human health.Moreover,there is currently no FDA-approved first-line drug for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)or NAFLD.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is widely used to ameliorate liver diseases,such as the traditional ancient recipe called Three Flower Tea(TFT),which consists of double rose(Rosa rugosa),white chrysanthemum(Chrysanthemum morifolium),and Daidaihua(Citrus aurantium).However,the mechanisms of the action of TFT are not clear.Therefore,this study aimed to elucidate the mechanisms of TFT against NAFLD in high-fat diet(HFD)-induced rats.Methods:This study utilized bioinformatics and network pharmacology to establish the active and potential ingredient-target networks of TFT.Furthermore,a protein–protein interaction(PPI)network was constructed,and enrichment analysis was performed to determine the key targets of TFT against NAFLD.Furthermore,an animal experiment was conducted to evaluate the therapeutic effect and confirm the key targets of TFT against NAFLD.Results:A total of 576 NAFLD-related genes were searched in Gene Cards,and under the screening criteria of oral bioavailability(OB)≥30%and drug-likeness(DL)≥0.18,a total of 19 active ingredients and 210 targets were identified in TFT.Network pharmacology analysis suggested that 55 matching targets in PPIs were closely associated with roles for NAFLD treatment.Through the evaluation of network topology parameters,four key central genes,PPARγ,SREBP,AKT,and RELA,were identified.Furthermore,animal experiments indicated that TFT could reduce plasma lipid profiles,hepatic lipid profiles and hepatic fat accumulation,improve liver function,suppress inflammatory factors,and reduce oxidative stress.Through immunoblotting and immunofluorescence analysis,PPARγ,SREBP,AKT,and RELA were confirmed as targets of TFT in HFD-induced rats.Conclusion:In summary,our results indicate that TFT can prevent and treat NAFLD via multiple targets,including lipid accumulation,antioxidation,insulin sensitivity,and inflammation.Peixuan Wu Shufei Liang Yanping He Rui Lv Bendong Yang Meng Wang Chao Wang Yong Li Xinhua Song Wenlong Sun 2022Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,2:2

20Hydro-Abrasive Erosion of Concrete Incorporated with Nano-SiO_2, Super-Fine Slag or Rubber Powder显示文摘In this paper, we investigates the concretes respectively incorporated with 5%(m︰m) nano-SiO2(NS), 40%(m︰m) super- fine slag(SS), as well as 40%(m︰m) SS combining 20% replacement of sand volume with RP. The tested mechanical properties include compressive strength, abrasion resistant strength, and elastic modulus. The results indicate that among these concretes, the SS-RP concrete has the highest abrasion resistant strength with increment ratios of 1.71 and 1.35 at 28 days and 90 days, respectively; the SS concrete has the highest compressive strength with increment ratios of 2.03 and 1.95 at 28 days and 90 days, respectively; the elastic modulus of SS-RP concrete significantly decrease compared with the SS concrete and is slightly higher than that of the reference concrete.
