1Electronic Skin from High-Throughput Fabrication of Intrinsically Stretchable Lead Zirconate Titanate Elastomer显示文摘Electronic skin made of thin,soft,stretchable devices that can mimic the human skin and reconstruct the tactile sensation and perception offers great opportunities for prosthesis sensing,robotics controlling,and human-machine interfaces.Advanced materials and mechanics engineering of thin film devices has proven to be an efficient route to enable and enhance flexibility and stretchability of various electronic skins;however,the density of devices is still low owing to the limitation in existing fabrication techniques.Here,we report a high-throughput one-step process to fabricate large tactile sensing arrays with a sensor density of 25 sensors/cm^(2) for electronic skin,where the sensors are based on intrinsically stretchable piezoelectric lead zirconate titanate(PZT)elastomer.The PZT elastomer sensor arrays with great uniformity and passive-driven manner enable highresolution tactile sensing,simplify the data acquisition process,and lower the manufacturing cost.The high-throughput fabrication process provides a general platform for integrating intrinsically stretchable materials into large area,high device density soft electronics for the next-generation electronic skin.Yiming Liu Huanxi Zheng Ling Zhao Shiyuan Liu Kuanming Yao Dengfeng Li Chunki Yiu Shenghan Gao Raudel Avila Pakpong Chirarattananon Lingqian Chang Zuankai Wang Xian Huang Zhaoqian Xie Zhengbao Yang Xinge Yu 2020Research2020,,1:11
2The Optimization of Ultrasonic Extraction Technology of Total Flavonoids in Leaves of Mallotus apelta by Response Surface Analysis Methodology显示文摘[Objectives] Response surface analysis methodology was used to optimize the extraction technology of total flavonoids from Mallotus apelta leaves. [Methods] The total flavonoids were extracted using ultrasonic assisted ethanol extraction,and extraction rate of total flavonoids was taken as evaluation index. On the basis of single-factor experiment,Box-Behnken response surface methodology was employed for selecting the optimum extraction process. [Results]The optimum extraction conditions of total flavonoids were as follows: 75% of ethanol concentration,1∶ 25 of ratio of material to liquid,31 min of ultrasonic time. Under these conditions,the extraction rate of total flavonoids was 1. 115%.[Conclusions] The extraction process obtained by response surface methodology was stable,reasonable,accurate and reliable. 4Epidermal self-powered sweat sensors for glucose and lactate monitoring显示文摘Sweat could be a carrier of informative biomarkers for health status identification;therefore,wearable sweat sensors have attracted significant attention for research.An external power source is an important component of wearable sensors,however,the current power supplies,i.e.,batteries,limit further shrinking down the size of these devices and thus limit their application areas and scenarios.Herein,we report a stretchable self-powered biosensor with epidermal electronic format that enables the in situ detec-tion of lactate and glucose concentration in sweat.Enzymatic biofuel cells serve as self-powered sensing modules allowing the sweat sensor to exhibit a determination coefficient(R2)of 0.98 with a sensitivity of 2.48 mV/mM for lactate detection,and R2 of 0.96 with a sensitivity of 0.11 mV/μM for glucose detection.The microfluidic channels developed in an ultra-thin soft flexible polydimethylsiloxane layer not only enable the effective collection of sweat,but also provide excellent mechanical properties with stable performance output even under 30%stretching.The presented soft sweat sensors can be integrated at nearly any location of the body for the continuous monitoring of lactate and glucose changes during normal daily activities such as exercise.Our results provide a promising approach to develop next-generation sweat sensors for real-time and in situ sweat analysis.Xingcan Huang Jiyu Li Yiming Liu Tszhung Wong Jingyou Su Kuanming Yao Jingkun Zhou Ya Huang Hu Li Dengfeng Li Mengge Wu Enming Song Shijiao Han Xinge Yu 2022Bio-Design and Manufacturing2022,5,1:3
5Extraction Process Optimization of Total Flavonoids from Mallotus apelta Stems by Central Composite Design/Response Surface Method显示文摘[Objectives] To optimize the extraction process of total flavonoids in stems of Mallotus apelta. [Methods]On the basis of singlefactor test,with volume fraction of ethanol,extraction time and ratio of solvent as independent variables,the content of total flavonoids as dependent variables,the completely secondary response surface regression fitting was conducted on the independent and dependent variables,and the Response Surface Method was used to optimize the optimum extraction process of total flavonoids in Mallotus apelta stems and predict the optimum process. 8Insights into the generation of laser-induced assembly of MoSe_(2) nanospheres显示文摘Laser-induced assembly is a promising technology for advancing micro/nano photonic devices.However,the dynamic process and the photothermal interaction in laser-induced assembly technique,as well as the role of laser illumination pattern on the assembly structure have not been well investigated.In this paper,we prepare dark MoSe_(2) nanospheres with a facile solvothermal synthesis method and grow a concentric ring-shaped assembly with incident light following Fresnel circular-aperture diffraction.The impact of the illumination light filed on the structure of the assembly is investigated.The concentric ring-shaped assembly reveals focusing effect with about 4.87 times intensity amplification.Optical trap effect,photothermal effect,and tension effect are proved to synergistically enhance the trap stiffness and broaden trap region.This work gives an insight into the production of laser induced assembly,hence broadens the potential application of nanoparticles and assembly in micro-optics and photonic devices.Gangshuo Liu Zengxin Huang Chao Yan Shanshan Li Can Xu Lipei Song Dengfeng Kuang 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:1

11Interface synergistic effects induced multi-mode luminescence显示文摘Mechanoluminescence(ML)has become the most promising material for broad applications in display and sensing devices,in which ZnS is the most commonly studied one due to its stable and highly repetitive ML performances.In this work,we have successfully prepared the biphase ZnS on a large scale through the facile in-air molten salt protection strategy.The obtained biphase has the best ML properties,which is mainly attributed to the synergistic effects of piezo-photonic,defect,and interface dislocations.DFT calculations have confirmed that the defects activate the local S and Zn sites and reduce the energy barrier for electron transfer.The much stronger X-ray induced luminescence than the commercial scintillator is also reached.The application of ZnS particles in both papers and inks delivers superior performance.Meanwhile,ZnS particles based screen printing ink is able to directly print on paper,plastic and other carriers to form clear marks.These proposed paper and ink hold great potentials in applications of information security and anti-counterfeiting based on the multi-mode luminescence properties.This work provides a new avenue to understand and realize the high-performance multi-mode luminescence,inspiring more future works to extend on other ML materials and boosting their practical applications.Ronghua Ma Chunfeng Wang Wei Yan Mingzi Sun Jianxiong Zhao Yuantian Zheng Xu Li Longbiao Huang Bing Chen Feng Wang Bolong Huang Dengfeng Peng 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:1
12Dependablity study on near-infrared parameters of blood oxygen and microvessel density of mammary gland phyma显示文摘Objective:To detect the reliability of near-infrared parameters of blood oxygen of mammary gland phyma from the microvessel density of tumor.Methods:181 cases of mammary gland phyma who had accepted the examination of the near-infrared TBO-I dual-wave length mammary gland phyma detector were classified by near-infrared parameters of blood oxygen,and were performed the pathologic examination to ascertain whether the tumor was benign or malignant.Among these cases,intratumoral microvessel density of 20 cases of malignant phyma and 20 cases of benign phyma were confirmed by S-P immunohistochemical method,then the relationship between near-infrared parameters and microvessel density were analyzed by medical statistics.Results:(1)The microvessel density and blood concentration of 28 cases of the'high blood' tumor were 24.56±8.110 and 1.891±0.850 respectively.The microvessel density and blood concentration of 12 cases of the'low blood'tumor were 17.98±8.729 and 0.698±0.283 respectively.There was significant difference between the'high blood'and'low blood'tumors(P<0.05).(2)The intratumoral microvessel density and blood concentration were linearly correlated respectively,and the linear correlation coefficient r=0.4208(P<0.05)in 40 cases of mammary gland phyma. 14Predictive Value of Blood Pressure,Heart Rate,and Blood Pressure/Heart Rate Ratio in a Chinese Subpopulation with Vasovagal Syncope显示文摘Objective:The head-up tilt test(HUTT)is widely used but is time-consuming and not cost-effective to evaluate patients with vasovagal syncope(VVS).The present study aims to verify the hypothesis that ambulatory blood pressure(BP)monitoring(ABPM)and the simplistic tilt test may be potential alternatives to the HUTT.Methods:The study consecutively enrolled 360 patients who underwent the HUTT to evaluate VVS.BP),heart rate(HR),and BP/HR ratios derived from ABPM and the simplistic tilt test were evaluated to predict the presence,pattern,and stage of syncope during the HUTT.Results:Mixed response was the commonest pattern,and syncope occurred frequently with infusion of isoproterenol at a rate of 3μg/min.During the simplistic tilt test,the cardioinhibitory group had higher tilted BP/HR ratios than the vasodepressor group,while the vasodepressor group had a faster tilted HR and a larger HR difference than the cardioinhibitory group.The higher the BP/HR ratio in the tilted position,the higher the isoproterenol dosage needed to induce a positive response.During ABPM,BP/HR ratios were signifi cantly higher in the cardioinhibitory group than in the vasodepressor group.The higher the ABPM-derived BP,the higher the dosage of isoproterenol needed to induce syncope.There were signifi cant correlations in BP/HR ratios between ABPM and the supine position in the vasodepressor group,while signifi cant correlation was found only for the diastolic BP/HR ratio between ABPM and the tilted position in the cardioinhibitory group.The mixed pattern shared correlative features of the other two patterns.Conclusion:ABPM and the simplistic tilt test might be used as promising alternatives to the HUTT in VVS evaluation in clinical settings.Zhuzhi Wen Jingying Hou Zun Mai Huifen Huang Yangxin Chen Dengfeng Geng Jingfeng Wang 2021Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2021,,1:0
15Coffee Flower Identification Using Binarization Algorithm Based on Convolutional Neural Network for Digital Images显示文摘Crop-type identification is one of the most significant applications of agricultural remote sensing,and it is important for yield estimation prediction and field management.At present,crop identification using datasets from unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)and satellite platforms have achieved state-of-the-art performances.However,accurate monitoring of small plants,such as the coffee flower,cannot be achieved using datasets from these platforms.With the development of time-lapse image acquisition technology based on ground-based remote sensing,a large number of small-scale plantation datasets with high spatial-temporal resolution are being generated,which can provide great opportunities for small target monitoring of a specific region.The main contribution of this paper is to combine the binarization algorithm based on OTSU and the convolutional neural network(CNN)model to improve coffee flower identification accuracy using the time-lapse images(i.e.,digital images).A certain number of positive and negative samples are selected from the original digital images for the network model training.Then,the pretrained network model is initialized using the VGGNet and trained using the constructed training datasets.Based on the well-trained CNN model,the coffee flower is initially extracted,and its boundary information can be further optimized by using the extracted coffee flower result of the binarization algorithm.Based on the digital images with different depression angles and illumination conditions,the performance of the proposed method is investigated by comparison of the performances of support vector machine(SVM)and CNN model.Hence,the experimental results show that the proposed method has the ability to improve coffee flower classification accuracy.The results of the image with a 52.5°angle of depression under soft lighting conditions are the highest,and the corresponding Dice(F1)and intersection over union(IoU)have reached 0.80 and 0.67,respectively.Pengliang Wei Ting Jiang Huaiyue Peng Hongwei Jin Han Sun Dengfeng Chai Jingfeng Huang 2020Plant Phenomics2020,2,1:0

17Bidirectional cascaded deep neural networks with a pretrained autoencoder for dielectric metasurfaces显示文摘Metasurfaces composed of meta-atoms provide promising platforms for manipulating amplitude,phase,and polarization of light.However,the traditional design methods of metasurfaces are time consuming and laborious.Here,we propose a bidirectional cascaded deep neural network with a pretrained autoencoder for rapid design of dielectric metasurfaces in the range of 450 nm to 850 nm.The forward model realizes a prediction of amplitude and phase responses with a mean absolute error of 0.03.Meanwhile,the backward model can retrieve patterns of meta-atoms in an inverse-design manner.The availability of this model is demonstrated by database establishment,model evaluation,and generalization testing.Furthermore,we try to reveal the mechanism behind the model in a visualization way.The proposed approach is beneficial to reduce the cost of computation burden and improve nanophotonic design efficiency for solving electromagnetic on-demand design issues automatically.WEICHAO KONG JUN CHEN ZENGXIN HUANG DENGFENG KUANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,8:0

19The Streptococcus agalactiae Ribose Binding Protein B (RbsB) Mediates Quorum Sensing Signal Uptake via Interaction with Autoinducer-2 Signals显示文摘Understanding aquatic pathogen in sediments or aquacultural water is crucial to protect public health from soilborne and waterborne diseases.Quorum sensing(QS)was increasingly reported in biological wastewater treatment processes because of their inherent roles in biofilm development,bacterial aggregation and so on.The widely QS signals was Antoinducer-2(AI-2),primarily involved to allow the possibility of interspecies communication.However,the cellular components that mediate the response of Streptococcus agalactiae to AI-2 have not been fully characterized.Analysis of the complete genome sequence of S.agalactiae indi-cated that its RbsB protein has similarity to Escherichia coli LsrB and Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans RbsB proteins that bind AI-2.We hypothesized that RbsB protein mediates quorum sensing signal uptake via interaction with AI-2.To evaluate the regulatory effect of RbsB on QS system,the recombinant plasmid pGEX-6p-1-RbsB was constructed and RbsB protein was purified with GST-tag.To further elucidate the role of RbsB protein binding to DPD(AI-2 precursor dihydroxypentanedione),the systemati-cally throughput circular dichroism(CD)spectroscopy,isothermal titration calorimetry200(ITC200)and molecular docking methods were employed.The high expression of soluble RbsB protein with molecular weight of 33 kDa was obtained.The thermodynamics results(ΔH<0,ΔS<0,ΔG<0)with ITC determination indicated that the binding process between DPD and RbsB was exothermic and spontaneous,with hydrogen bonds and van der Waals forces as the main binding forces.Obviously,DPD can be more easily combined with RbsB in a dose-dependent manner,suggesting that RbsB was changed in the microenvironment of DPD when the DPD concentration was between 0.8-1.0mmolL−1 and reaching the maximum binding amount.According to molecular docking,3 hydrophobic residues involved in DPD and RbsB protein stable binding were be found,and also hydrogen bonding plays a key role in the formation of the new complex.RbsB efficiently inhibited V.harveyi bioluminescence induced by both S.agalactiae AI-2 and V.harveyi AI-2 in a dose-dependent manner.However,our results suggest that RbsB may play a role in the response of S.agalactiace to AI-2.FAN Bolin PAN Lixia WANG Zhongliang WANGKAHART Eakapol HUANG Yuchong YANG Dengfeng JIAN Jichang HUANG Yu WANG Bei 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,5:0
20Physical and emulsifying properties of pea protein:influence of combined physical modification by flaxseed gum and ultrasonic treatment显示文摘This study characterized and compared the physical and emulsifying properties of pea protein(PP)and its modified proteins(ultrasound treated-PP(PPU),flaxseed gum(FG)treated PP(PPFG)and ultrasound treated-PPFG(PPFGU)).The results showed FG triggered the formation of loosely attached complex with PP via physical modification under gentle magnetic stirring at pH 7.0,while ultrasound played an important role in reducing protein size,increasing surface hydrophobicity and molecular fluidity onto oil-water interface.So ultrasound further enhanced the interaction of PP with FG,and produced the PPFGU complex with smaller droplet size,higherζ-potential and lower turbidity.Further,combination of FG and ultrasound improved the physical properties of PP with higher viscosity,stiffer gels(defined as higher elastic modulus),stronger hydrophobic properties,better thermal stability,and fast protein absorption rate.Therefore,the PPFGU coarse emulsion performed highest emulsifying activity index(EAI)and emulsion stability index(ESI)that the stabilized nanoemulsion obtained smallest droplet size,higherζ-potential,and longest storage stability.The combination of FG and ultrasonic treatment will be an effective approach to improving the emulsifying property and thermal stability of PP,which can be considered as a potential plant-based emulsifier applied in the food industry.Jia Yang Fenghong Huang Qingde Huang Da Ma Yashu Chen Dengfeng Peng Xiao Yu Qianchun Deng Fang Geng 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,2:0
