| 1 | In-building coverage of millimeter-wave wireless networks from channel measurement and modeling perspectives显示文摘To progress cost-effective deployment of millimeter-wave(mm Wave)wireless networks for indoor users,the prediction of indoor-to-indoor(I2I)and outdoor-to-indoor(O2I)coverage based on field measurement studies is of great interest to the future generation mobile communication system.First,measurements in I2I and O2I scenarios,which have advantages in terms of achieving a fair comparison of channel characteristics across different mm Wave bands and bandwidths,are performed.Next,the developed dual-slope path loss model with a break-point distance is found to well fit omnidirectional and directional measured I2I data,especially at 39.5 GHz,revealing that the transition from lit or shadow regions to totally blocked regions is abrupt.Combined with space-time propagation characteristics,the indoor blockage effect on path loss and angular spread is investigated,therein being essential for the design of beam-steering and tracking algorithms.Double-directional measurement results show that most dominant paths arrive along the line-ofsight path,and only a few in-building reflections can be detected in higher frequency bands.Based on the joint analysis of channel measurement and modeling results,several mm Wave network design and in-building coverage enhancement insights are presented. | Peize ZHANG Cheng YI Bensheng YANG Cheng-Xiang WANG Haiming WANG Xiaohu YOU | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,8: | 2 |
| 2 | All-trans retinoic acid induces leukemia resistance to NK cell cytotoxicity by down-regulating B7-H6 expression via c-Myc signaling显示文摘Background:The interaction between activating receptor NKp30 and its major tumor ligand B7-H6 is important for NK cell-mediated tumor rejection.However,the regulation of B7-H6 by tumor therapeutics remains largely unknown.In this study,we investigated the regulation of B7-H6 by all-trans retinoic acid(atRA),a terminal differentiation inducer of tumor cells that is extensively used for clinical leukemia therapy.Methods:We investigated the role of NKp30:B7-H6 axis in NK cell-mediated tumor lysis against leukemia cells and the influence of atRA treatment on the cytotoxicity of NK cells using NK cell lines(NK92 and NKG)and leukemia cell lines(U-937 and THP-1).We evaluated the effect of atRA treatment on the expression of B7-H6 using real-time PCR,flow cytometry and western blotting.We used CRISPR/Cas9 to knockdown B7-H6 expression and siRNA to knockdown c-Myc in U-937 cells to evaluate the role of B7-H6 and c-Myc in atRA-induced tumor resistance against NK cells.Results:NK cell-mediated U-937 cell lysis was mainly dependent on NKp30/B7-H6 interaction.Blockade of B7-H6 by monoclonal antibody significantly impaired NK cytotoxicity.atRA treatment induced U-937 resistance to NK cell cytotoxicity by reducing B7-H6 expression,and showed no effect on NK cytotoxicity against B7-H6 knockdown U-937 cells.Epigenetic modifications,such as DNA methylation and histone deacetylase(HDAC),were not responsible for atRA-mediated B7-H6 down-regulation as inhibitors of these pathways could not restore B7-H6 mRNA expression.On the other hand,atRA treatment reduced c-Myc expression,which in turn inhibited the transcription of B7-H6 on leukemia cells.Conclusion:atRA treatment promotes tumor cell resistance against NK cellmediated lysis by down-regulating B7-H6 expression via the c-Myc signaling pathway,suggesting that more attention needs to be paid to the immunological adverse effects in the clinical use of atRA treatment. | Guoshuai Cao Ying Cheng Xiaodong Zheng Haiming Wei Zhigang Tian Rui Sun Haoyu Sun | 2021 | Cancer Communications2021,41,1: | 1 |

| 5 | Trispecific killer engager 161519 enhances natural killer cell function and provides anti-tumor activity against CD19-positive cancers显示文摘Objective:Natural killer(NK)cells have gained considerable attention due to their potential in treating'cold tumors,'and are therefore considered as one of the new strategies for curing cancer,by using worldwide development of their new possibilities and interventions with NK cell-related therapeutic products.Methods:We constructed a trispecific killer engager(TriKE)consisting of anti-CD16,IL-15,and anti-CD19.This TriKE was designed to attract CD19^(+)tumor cells to CD16^(+)NK cells,whereas IL-15 sustained the proliferation,development,and survival of NK cells.Results:Treatment with 161519 TriKE in the presence of CD19^(+)targets upregulated expression of CD69,CD107 a,TRAIL,IFN-γ,and TNF-α in NK cells,and significantly improved the proliferation and cytotoxicity of NK cells.NK cells'armed'with 161519 TriKE showed stronger cytolysis against CD19+targets compared with that of'unarmed'NK cells.A preclinical model of B-cell lymphoma in human peripheral blood mononuclear cell-reconstituted xenograft mice showed significant inhibition of tumor growth and prolonged overall survival after treatment with 161519 TriKE,when compared with that in control mice or mice treated with 1619 BiKE.Combined use of IL-2 was a more effective treatment with 1619 BiKE,when compared with that using 161519 TriKE.Conclusions:The newly generated 161519 TriKE enhanced the proliferation,activation,cytokine secretion,and cytotoxicity of NK cells in the presence of CD19+tumor cells.The 161519 TriKE aided inhibition of tumor growth and prolonged the overall survival of murine xenografts,and could be used to treat CD19-positive cancers. | Ying Cheng Xiaodong Zheng Xuefu Wang Yongyan Chen Haiming Wei Rui Sun Zhigang Tian Haoyu Sun | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,4: | 1 |

| 13 | Controlling exciton-exciton annihilation in WSe_(2) bilayers via interlayer twist显示文摘The twist angle between two van der Waals coupled monolayers has emerged as a new and powerful degree of freedom for engineering physical properties of semiconductor homo-and hetero-bilayers.While the interlayer twist has shown prominent effect on electronic and optical properties of transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD)bilayers,it remains unclear how it could be used to manipulate the exciton dynamics,especially exciton-exciton annihilation(EEA)process which is the dominant energy loss channel in TMDs under moderate to high exciton density due to strong Coulomb interaction.Herein,we show that the twist angle in TMD bilayers can act as an effective knob to control the EEA process.Specifically,EEA rate constant increases from 1° twisted WSe_(2) bilayers(0.026 cm^(2)/s)by more than twice to 32° twisted bilayers(0.053 cm2/s)and then drops again in 60° twisted bilayers(0.019 cm^(2)/s).This twist-angle dependence can be attributed to the energy difference between indirect and direct excitons arising from the interlayer interaction.Our work opens up the possibility of artificially managing the exciton dynamics in TMD materials for optoelectronic applications via interlayer twist angle. | Yuzhong Chen Bichuan Cao Cheng Sun Zedong Wang Hongzhi Zhou Linjun Wang Haiming Zhu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,5: | 1 |

| 15 | Screening of additives to reduce grain damage risk on unhairing by proteinase K显示文摘Enzymatic unhairing is a cleaner strategy for leather-making.It is a potential alternative to the traditional hairburning process.However,several shortcomings,such as uncontrolled enzymatic reaction,and risk of grain looseness and damage have restricted the broad application of enzymatic unhairing.In this work,metal ions and organic additives were screened for lessening the hydrolytic activity of proteinase K to collagen fiber.Then,the selected additives were applied to the enzymatic unhairing process for bovine hide.The results showed that a suitable concentration of metal ions(Cu(Ⅱ),Fe(Ⅲ)and Al(Ⅲ))and organic additives(salicylate,laurate,adipate,gallate and epicatechin(ECG))could diminish approximately 35% of the hydrolytic activity of proteinase K to collagen fibers.Then,the additives were applied for the bovine hide enzymatic unhairing process.Hydroxyproline determination in the unhairing float shows that applying additives could reduce collagen hydrolysis.The morphology results showed that the grain damage could be significantly reduced with the addition of the screened additives in the proteinase K enzymatic unhairing system,whereas the addition of ECG and gallate significantly slowed down the unhairing speed.This outcome provides new potential to reduce the risk of grain damage in enzymatic unhairing process. | Mei Chen Mingfang Jiang He Li Haiming Cheng | 2020 | Journal of Leather Science and Engineering2020,2,1: | 0 |
