| 1 | ICG@ZIF-8:One-step encapsulation of indocyanine green in ZIF-8 and use as a therapeutic nanoplatform显示文摘How to fabricate zeolitic imidazole framework-8(ZIF-8) based therapeutic nanoplatform will be of significance in biomedicine considering its good biocompatibility. Herein, we report a one-step encapsulation of indocyanine green(ICG) in ZIF-8 nanoparticles(NPs). The as-prepared ICG@ZIF-8 NPs possess an absorption band in the near infrared region and have the good photothermal conversion efficiency. The in vivo and in vitro studies show that, after loading chemotherapy agent hydrophobic doxorubicin(DOX), ICG@ZIF-8-DOX NPs exhibit the chem-and photothermal synergistic therapy for tumor. | 2 | s-HBEGF/SIRT1 circuit-dictated crosstalk between vascular endothelial cells and keratinocytes mediates sorafenib-induced hand-foot skin reaction that can be reversed by nicotinamide显示文摘Hand-foot skin reaction(HFSR),among the most significant adverse effects of sorafenib,has been limiting the clinical benefits of this frontline drug in treating various malignant tumors.The mechanism underlying such toxicity remains poorly understood,hence the absence of effective intervention strategies.In the present study,we show that vascular endothelial cells are the primary cellular target of sorafenib-induced HFSR wherein soluble heparin-binding epidermal growth factor(s-HBEGF)mediates the crosstalk between vascular endothelial cells and keratinocytes.Mechanistically,s-HBEGF released from vascular endothelial cells activates the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)on keratinocytes and promotes the phosphorylation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase 2(JNK2),which stabilizes sirtuin 1(SIRT1),an essential keratinization inducer,and ultimately gives rise to HFSR.The administration of s-HBEGF in vivo could sufficiently induce hyper-keratinization without sorafenib treatment.Furthermore,we report that HBEGF neutralization antibody,Sirtl knockdown,and a classic SIRTI inhibitor nicotinamide could all significantly reduce the sorafenib-induced HFSR in the mouse model.It is noteworthy that nicotinic acid,a prodrug of nicotinamide,could substantially reverse the sorafenib-induced HFSR in ten patients in a preliminary clinical study.Collectively,our findings reveal the mechanism of vascular endothelial cell-promoted keratinization in keratinocytes and provide a potentially promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of sorafenib-induced HFSR. | Peihua Luo Hao Yan Xueqin Chen Ying Zhang Ziying Zhao Ji Cao Yi Zhu Jiangxia Du Zhifei Xu Xiaochen Zhang Su Zeng Bo Yang Shenglin Ma Qiaojun He | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,9: | 5 |

| 4 | Abundant heterointerfaces in MOF-derived hollow CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) nanosheet array electrocatalysts for overall water splitting显示文摘Rational coupling of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) and oxygen evolution reaction(OER) catalysts is extremely important for practical overall water splitting,but it is still challenging to construct such bifunctional heterostructures.Herein,we present a metal-organic framework(MOF)-etching strategy to design free-standing and hierarchical hollow CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) heteronanosheet arrays for both HER and OER.Resulting from the controllable etching of MOF by MoO_(4)^(2-) and in-situ sulfuration,the obtained CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) possesses abundant heterointerfaces with modulated local charge distribution,which promote water dissociation and rapid electrocatalytic kinetics.Moreover,the two-dimensional hollow array architecture can not only afford rich surface-active sites,but also facilitate the penetration of electrolytes and the release of evolved H_(2)/O_(2) bubbles.Consequently,the engineered CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) heterostructure exhibits small overpotentials of 82 mV for HER and 266 mV for OER at 10 mA cm^(-2).The corresponding alkaline electrolyzer affords a cell voltage of 1.56 V at 10 mA cm^(-2) to boost overall water splitting,along with robust durability over 24 h, even surpassing the benchmark electrode couple composed of IrO_(2) and Pt/C The present work may provide valuable insights for developing MOF-derived heterogeneous electrocatalysts with tailored interface/surface structure for widespread application in catalysis and other energyrelated areas. | Yuanjian Li Wenyu Wang Baojun Huang Zhifei Mao Rui Wang Beibei He Yansheng Gong Huanwen Wang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6: | 2 |

| 6 | Going below and beyond the surface: Microneedle structure, materials, drugs, fabrication, and applications for wound healing and tissue regeneration显示文摘Microneedle, as a novel drug delivery system, has attracted widespread attention due to its non-invasiveness, painless and simple administration, controllable drug delivery, and diverse cargo loading capacity. Although microneedles are initially designed to penetrate stratum corneum of skin for transdermal drug delivery, they, recently, have been used to promote wound healing and regeneration of diverse tissues and organs and the results are promising. Despite there are reviews about microneedles, few of them focus on wound healing and tissue regeneration. Here, we review the recent advances of microneedles in this field. We first give an overview of microneedle system in terms of its potential cargos (e.g., small molecules, macromolecules, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, extracellular vesicle, cells), structural designs (e.g., multidrug structures, adhesive structures), material selection, and drug release mechanisms. Then we briefly summarize different microneedle fabrication methods, including their advantages and limitations. We finally summarize the recent progress of microneedle-assisted wound healing and tissue regeneration (e.g., skin, cardiac, bone, tendon, ocular, vascular, oral, hair, spinal cord, and uterine tissues).
