| 7 | The clinical efficacy of percutaneous ethanol-lipiodol injection(PEI)combined with high-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)for small hepatocellularcarcinoma in special or high-risk locations显示文摘Objective The objective of this study was to explore the short-term effects and postoperative complications of ultrasound-guided percutaneous ethanol-lipiodol injection(PEI)combined with high-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)for the treatment of small hepatocellular carcinoma in a special or high-risk location.Methods Forty patients with small liver cancer in a special or high-risk location were randomly divided into two groups:20 patients were treated with PEI combined with HIFU(P+H group),and 20 patients were treated with HIFU alone(H group).There were no significant differences in average age,liver function,tumor location,tumor number,or tumor size between the two groups(P>0.05).Results Significant differences were observed in ablation parameters between the two groups(P<0.05).Under the same power,ablation rates of the P+H group were significantly higher than those in the H group,and postoperative complications in the P+H group were significantly lower than those in the H group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of PEI and HIFU has better clinical value than HIFU alone for small-cell liver cancer in special or high-risk locations. | Xiaoli Zou Changzhi Zhao Tao Wang Li Jia Zhongyi Feng Xiaoguang Wang Lei Wei Xiaobei Liu | 2021 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2021,7,4: | 1 |

| 10 | Antagonizing exosomal miR-18a-5p derived from prostate cancer cells ameliorates metastasis-induced osteoblastic lesions by targeting Hist1h2bc and activating Wnt/β-catenin pathway显示文摘More than 50%of prostate cancer(PCa)patients have bone metastasis with osteo-blastic lesions.MiR-18a-5p is associated with the development and metastasis of PCa,but it remains unclear whether it is involved in osteoblastic lesions.We first found that miR-18a-5p was highly expressed in the bone microenvironment of patients with PCa bone metastases.To address how miR-18a-5p affects PCa osteoblastic lesions,antagonizing miR-18a-5p in PCa cells or pre-osteoblasts inhibited osteoblast differentiation in vitro.Moreover,injection of PCa cells with miR-18a-5p inhibition improved bone biomechanical properties and bone mineral mass in vivo.Furthermore,miR-18a-5p was transferred to osteoblasts by exosomes derived from PCa cells and targeted the Hist1h2bc gene,resulting in Ctnnb1 up-regulation in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.Translationally,antagomir-18a-5p significantly improved bone biomechanical properties and alleviated sclerotic lesions from osteoblastic me-tastases in BALB/c nude mice.These data suggest that inhibition of exosome-delivered miR-18a-5p ameliorates PCa-induced osteoblastic lesions. | Fanchun Zeng Chunrong Zhao Rujie Wang Lingyan Ren Hao Qiu Zhi Zou Haibin Ding Zhongyi Sun Jianmei Li Shiwu Dong | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,4: | 0 |
| 11 | Magnetic field-induced electronic phase transition in the Dirac semimetal state of black phosphorus under pressure显示文摘Different instabilities have been confirmed to exist in the three-dimensional(3D) electron gas when it is confined to the lowest Landau level in the extreme quantum limit. The recently discovered 3D topological semimetals offer a good platform to explore these phenomena due to the small sizes of their Fermi pockets, which means the quantum limit can be achieved at relatively low magnetic fields. In this work, we report the high-magnetic-field transport properties of the Dirac semimetal state in pressurized black phosphorus. Under applied hydrostatic pressure, the band structure of black phosphorus goes through an insulator-semimetal transition. In the high pressure topological semimetal phase, anomalous behaviors are observed on both magnetoresistance and Hall resistivity beyond the relatively low quantum limit field, which is demonstrated to indicate the emergence of an exotic electronic state hosting a density wave ordering. | 12 | A mixed culture of Propionibacterium freudenreichii and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum as antifungal biopreservatives in bakery product显示文摘In this study,15 strains of Lactic acid bacteria(Allata et al.)and 6 strains of propionic acid bacteria(PAB)were firstly tested for their antifungal activity against three spoilage fungi,Aspergillus niger,Penicillium crustosum and Aspergillus flavus.Two strains of LAB and PAB were selected and assessed,alone or paired,for their abilities to inhibit the most resistant mold,Aspergillus niger.A mixed culture of P.freudenreichii D6 and L.plantarum L9 was found to be the most active and their optimal inoculum was 1×10^(8) and 1×10^(6) CFU/mL,respectively.Furthermore,the in situ antifungal effect of the mixed culture was evaluated against bakery product spoilage fungi.It was found that the growth of airborne fungi was delayed for up to 7 days.The cell number of L.plantarum L9 was slightly increased by the presence of P.freudenreichii D6.Quantification of three main acids(propionic,lactic and acetic acid)produced by the protective cultures suggested that acetic acid was mainly responsible for the antifungal activity.In conclusion,the mixed culture of P.freudenreichii and L.plantarum may be exploited as biopreservatives in bakery products. | Qiong Ran Fan Yang Min Geng Lujie Qin Zhongyi Chang Hongliang Gao Deming Jiang Chunjing Zou Caifeng Jia | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,47,3: | 0 |
| 13 | Unknown-input-observer-based approach to dynamic event-triggered fault estimation for Markovian jump systems with time-varying delays显示文摘This paper investigates the unknown-input-observer-based fault estimation problem for a class of discrete-time-delay Markovian jump systems under the dynamic event-triggered transmission scheme. The dynamic event-triggered mechanism is used to decide whether the current information should be transmitted to the estimator or not to save the limited communication resources. This study aims to design an event-based fault estimator such that the estimation error is exponentially ultimately bounded in the mean square sense.By adopting the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee the existence of the desired estimator to achieve the prescribed performance requirement. The estimator gains are derived based on the convex optimization technique.
