| 1 | Ultrasensitive skin‐like wearable optical sensors based on glass micro/nanofibers显示文摘Electronic skin,a class of wearable electronic sensors that mimic the functionalities of human skin,has made remarkable success in applications including health monitoring,human-machine interaction and electronic-biological interfaces.While electronic skin continues to achieve higher sensitivity and faster response,its ultimate performance is fundamentally limited by the nature of low-frequency AC currents.Herein,highly sensitive skin-like wearable optical sensors are demonstrated by embedding glass micro/nanofibers(MNFs)in thin layers of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS).Enabled by the transition from guided modes into radiation modes of the waveguiding MNFs upon external stimuli,the skin-like optical sensors show ultrahigh sensitivity(1870 k·Pa^-1),low detection limit(7 mPa)and fast response(10μs)for pressure sensing,significantly exceeding the performance metrics of state-of-the-art electronic skins.Electromagnetic interference(EMI)-free detection of high-frequency vibrations,wrist pulse and human voice are realized.Moreover,a five-sensor optical data glove and a 2×2-MNF tactile sensor are demonstrated.These initial results pave the way toward a new category of optical devices ranging from ultrasensitive wearable sensors to optical skins. | Lei Zhang Jing Pan Zhang Zhang Hao Wu Ni Yao Dawei Cai Yingxin Xu Jin Zhang Guofei Sun Liqiang Wang Weidong Geng Wenguang Jin Wei Fang Dawei Di Limin Tong | 2020 | Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,3: | 12 |
| 2 | Expanded endoscopic therapy criteria should be cautiously used in intramucosal gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: Accurate estimation of lymph node metastasis(LNM) in intramucosal gastric cancer is essential to select less invasive treatment options and even avoid surgery. The aim of this study was to evaluate combined clinicopathological features to predict the presence of LNM.Methods: A retrospective review of data from 386 intramucosal gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy with extended lymphadenectomy from 2003 to 2010 was conducted. The mutual relation between clinicopathological characteristics and LNM was analyzed.Results: LNM was detected in 40(10.4%) of the 386 patients. Histological type and vascular or lymphatic invasion presence showed a positive correlation with LNM occurrence by univariate analysis. Multivariate analysis revealed that histological type was the only factor associated with LNM. Combined clinicopathologic characteristics would be more predictable for LNM. We found no LNM when we used combined clinicopathological characteristics conforming to Japanese absolute indications for endoscopic therapy. The LNM rate was as high as 8.7% when Japanese expanded criteria were used. Univariate analysis in cancer conformity to expand endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) indication also revealed that the undifferential type was the only significant factor for LNM.Conclusions: It was possible to predict intramucosal gastric cancer cases without LNM using combined clinicopathological characteristic analysis. | 3 | Image formation of brain function in patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis treated with moxibustion显示文摘OBJECTIVES:Functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) technology was used to study changes to the resting state blood flow in the brains of patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA) before and after treatment with moxibustion at the acupoint of the left Dubi(ST 35) and to probe the cerebral mechanism underlying the effect of moxibustion.METHODS:The resting state brain function of 30 patients with left KOA was scanned with fMRI before and after treatment with moxibustion.The analytic methods of fractional amplitude of low frequency fluctuation(fALFF) and regional homogeneity(ReHo) were used to observe changes in resting state brain function.RESULTS:The fALFF values of the right cerebrum,extra-nucleus,left cerebellum,left cerebrum and white matter of patients after moxibustion treatment were higher than before treatment,and the fALFF values of the precentral gyrus,frontal lobe and occipital lobe were lower than before treatment(P<0.05,K≥85).The ReHo values of the thalamus,extra-nucleus and parietal lobe of patients were much higher than those before moxibustion treatment,and the ReHo values of the right cerebrum,left cerebrum and frontal lobe were lower than before treatment(P<0.05,K≥85).CONCLUSION:The influence of moxibustion on obvious changes in brain regions basically conforms to the way that pain and warmth is transmitted in the body,and the activation of sensitive systems in the body may be objective evidence of channel transmission.The regulation of brain function by moxibustion is not in a single brain region but rather in a network of many brain regions. | Hongwu Xie Fangming Xu Rixin Chen Tianyou Luo Mingren Chen Weidong Fang Fajin Lü Fei Wu Yune Song Jun Xiong | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2: | 7 |

| 5 | Influences of accumulated mileage and technological changes on emissions of regulated pollutants from gasoline passenger vehicles显示文摘In this study, the influences of accumulated mileage(deterioration) and technological changes(emission standards) on emission factors(EFs) of regulated pollutants(CO, HC, and NO_x) from gasoline passenger vehicles were investigated based on Inspection and Maintenance(I/M) data using the chassis dynamometer method. The accumulated mileage of passenger vehicles was significantly linearly correlated with vehicle age. For most cases,the average EFs of CO, HC and NO_x were significantly linearly correlated with accumulated mileage, indicating that emission deterioration had a significant impact on pollutant EFs.Implemented emission standards markedly influenced the EFs of regulated pollutants, and EFs markedly decreased with progressing emission standards. The present study also compared EFs of regulated pollutants between this study and the International vehicle emission(IVE) model, and marked differences in EFs were seen with variations in emission standards, vehicle types and accumulated mileage; NO_x EFs in this study were higher than in the IVE model. | 6 | A resilient trust management scheme for defending against reputation time-varying attacks based on BETA distribution显示文摘Compared with the encryption and the authentication which can prevent the external attacks,the trust management schemes are the better approaches for defending against the internal attacks in wireless sensor network(WSN). The reputation time-varying(RTV) attacks are internal attacks. In the reputation timevarying attacks, the reputation value of nodes is manipulated to adjust dynamically by the compromised nodes or malicious attackers. Hence, these attacks have greater covert and invasive. In this paper, we propose a Timewindow-based Resilient Trust Management Scheme(TRTMS) to defend against the reputation time-varying attacks in wireless sensor network. In this scheme, based on BETA distribution, the behaviors of compromised nodes are analyzed for a period of time, and then the difference judgment and the trend analysis are utilized to identify the abnormality of nodes' reputation value, meanwhile, the control factor Fc and the time window are introduced to verify and remove the compromised modes from the suspected malicious nodes, which refer to those nodes' reputation value changes are caused by the wireless channel changes. | 7 | Implementation of regional Acute Stroke Care Map increases thrombolysis rates for acute ischaemic stroke in Chinese urban area in only 3 months显示文摘Background The rate of intravenous thrombolysis for acute ischaemic stroke remains low in China.We investigated whether the implementation of a citywide Acute Stroke Care Map(ASCaM)is associated with an improvement of acute stroke care quality in a Chinese urban area.Methods The ASCaM comprises 10 improvement strategies and has been implemented through a network consisting of 20 tertiary hospitals.We identified 7827 patients with ischaemic stroke admitted from April to October 2017,and 506 patients underwent thrombolysis were finally included for analysis.Results Compared with‘pre-ASCaM period’,we observed an increased rate of administration of tissue plasminogen activator within 4.5 hours(65.4% vs 54.5%;adjusted OR,1.724;95% CI 1.21 to 2.45;p=0.003)during‘ASCaM period’.In multivariate analysis models,‘ASCaM period’was associated with a significant reduction in onset-to door time(114.1±55.7 vs 135.7±58.4 min,p=0.0002)and onset-to needle time(ONT)(169.2±58.1 vs 195.6±59.3 min,p<0.0001).Yet no change was found in door-to needle time.Clinical outcomes such as symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage,favourable functional outcome(modified Rankin Scale≤2)and in-hospital mortality remained unchanged.Conclusion The implementation of ASCaM was significantly associated with increased rates of intravenous thrombolysis and shorter ONT.The ASCaM may,in proof-of principle,serve as a model to reduce treatment delay and increase thrombolysis rates in Chinese urban areas and possibly other highly populated Asian regions. | Yi Sui Jianfeng Luo Chunyao Dong Liqiang Zheng Weijin Zhao Yao Zhang Ying Xian Huaguang Zheng Bernard Yan Mark Parsons Li Ren Ying Xiao Haoyue Zhu Lijie Ren Qi Fang Yi Yang Weidong Liu Bing Xu | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1: | 4 |
| 8 | Diagnostic value of fluid attenuated inversion recovery versus T_2-weighted image in diffuse axonal injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:At present, the most common examination modality for diffuse axonal injury (DAI) is CT or MRI. However, both methods exhibit low sensitivity in the diagnosis of DAI lesions. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the value of fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) in the clinical diagnosis of DAI, and to compare with T2-weighted images. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: This prospective study was based on imaging analysis, and was performed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University (Chongqing, China) between October 2002 and April 2004. PARTICIPANTS: Sixty-three patients with craniocerebral injury were admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, including 50 males and 13 females. The patients were included in the experiment and were divided into DAI (n=24) and non-DAI (n=39) groups, according to the emergent CT findings and clinical manifestations. METHODS: Both groups underwent MR examinations, including axial and sagittal T1 weighted images (TR = 450 ms, TE = 8–9 ms), T2-weighted images (TR = 3 600 ms, TE = 100 ms), and FLAIR (TR = 10 000 ms, TI = 2 500 ms, TE = 40 ms), 8-mm thick and 2-mm wide, using a GE Sigma MRI device. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The DAI diagnostic rate and lesion-detecting rate of T2-weighted images and FLAIR were determined. RESULTS: All 63 patients were included in the final analysis. The DAI diagnosis rates of FLAIR and T2-weighted images were 88% (21/24) and 62% (15/24), respectively, of which the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). T2-weighted images and FLAIR detected lesions located in the gray matter-white matter junction in parasagittal areas, the corpus callosum, deep periventricular white matter, basal ganglia, internal capsule, hippocampus, cerebellum, and brain stem, with a detailed amount of 123 and 256, respectively. FLAIR was significantly greater than T2-weighted images (P < 0.01). | 10 | Evaluation of non-typical diffuse axonal injury by magnetic resonance techniques显示文摘Because diffuse axonal injury (DAI) lacks specific clinical manifestations, it is difficult to evaluate DAI using computer tomography or conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This study investigated the value of magnetic resonance techniques using fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) and proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1HMRS) for diagnosing DAI. The corpus callosum and basal nuclei were analyzed using morphological and functional imaging. Similar to the DAI group, the non-typical DAI group exhibited similar lesion characteristics on FLAIR, as well as post-injury neurochemical and molecular changes in the corpus callosum, as detected by 1HMRS. However, there were differences in degree and severity of injury. Compared to conventional MRI, FLAIR significantly increased lesion detection. 1HMRS determined biochemical metabolism changes in midline structures following DAI, which resulted in increased diagnosis of non-typical DAI, which displayed similar lesion distribution, morphology, and function as DAI. | 11 | Antioxidative stress-induced damage in cochlear explants显示文摘The imbalance of reactive oxygen species and antioxidants is considered to be an important factor in the cellular injury of the inner ear. At present, great attention has been placed on oxidative stress. However,little is known about fighting oxidative stress. In the current study, we evaluated antioxidant-induced cochlear damage by applying several different additional antioxidants. To determine whether excessive antioxidants can cause damage to cochlear cells, we treated cochlear explants with 50 m M M40403, a superoxide dismutase mimetic, 50 m M coenzyme Q-10, a vitamin-like antioxidant, or 50 m M d-methionine, an essential amino acid and the important antioxidant glutathione for 48 h. Control cochlear explants without the antioxidant treatment maintained their normal structures after incubation in the standard serum-free medium for 48 h, indicating the maintenance of the inherent oxidative and antioxidant balance in these cochlear explants. In contrast, M40403 and coenzyme Q-10-treated cochlear explants displayed significant hair cell damage together with slight damage to the auditory nerve fibers.Moreover, d-methiodine-treated explants exhibited severe damage to the surface structure of hair cells and the complete loss of the spiral ganglion neurons and their peripheral fibers.
